The Arcosian was rather happy, first, he saw that the mysterious human they had with them was rather friendly, yet shy, was really making him smile, he in fact, hoped that this adventure could be leading to some friendship and some fun moments, like the previous one he had with Kay, and hoping that he would make good friends, even if he doubted he would make another friend as he was with Kay, their similarities and friendship was something Core doubted was that easy to recreate between people, but after all, a simply friendship was all he needed. The arcosian saw that the human was looking at him and Kay in a rather confusing way, Core didn’t managed to understand what kind of look that was and decided to simply let it go, there was no way it was something bad after all, they were on the same team.
Core would giggle with Kay-El lightly as they spoke about the purple man, surely this guy was funny, he was clumsy and kind off pathetic, but it was making Core laugh a bit, though it wasn’t a mean laugh at all, it was more of a sympathetic laugh, one that friends usually do when one of them goof around and fail himself, nothing really meant to be evil. ‘’ Caves uh… why does a monster always hide in cave… I hate that…’’ Core would say with a shiver, he remembered the time he had with the scientist named Katsu when he had to take care of a huge reptilian monster in an abandoned underground facility; he hoped that those monsters were a bit more careful about their living area and that it would be less painful to get through.
Before this very moment, there was no bad things that was happening in this group of adventurer, and the first annoyance or threat came from within, were Core was least expecting it. At first, the young Arcosian would feel a hand on his rear, which wasn’t really affecting him, after all, Arcosian didn’t had that humanoid rear part that shouldn’t be touch, the hand of the human would simply hit a rather solid piece of bio-armor under his tail. But then the real shame came as he felt the old man rubbing his already perfectly clean tail, he would quickly be annoyed by it and would wave his tail around to prevent the man from touching it more. If the human would insist, Core would simply tell him to stop, and if he didn’t, well, Core would simply slap him away with his tail, which, for those who didn’t knew, was one of his stronger limbs. He wouldn’t slap him strong enough to harm him, only to push him away from him and his tail.
Core would still hold rather close to his friend, though he was making sure that the rock star and the human were still behind him often, he didn’t wanted to lose them since they were potentially friends and he didn’t wanted to lose them to a blood-thirsty monster that goes on rampages in villages for fun.
When the group finally arrived at the cave they were heading toward, Core would look up and whistle a bit. ‘’ That is one huge cave… I say I should go first…’’ He would simply say as he walked in front of Kay, though he wasn’t that far from the others. ‘’ I wouldn’t want you guys to be hurted… but if I’m attacked, be sure to react quick, I can take a lot of damage, but I’d prefer not to…’’ He would say, smiling at each of them, they were making a nice-looking team ,except for the purple guy who was more of a creepy old man than anything else to Core.

Arynx shook his head at the man in purple made an absolute, unequivocal ass of himself. When he went ass-over-teakettle into the dirt, Arynx almost laughed. But he got serious real quick when Jax came at him with a spit-covered thumb. Arynx quickly grabbed Jax's wrist in his hand.
"Don't," he said, looking the man in the eye before forcing himself to let go. He found himself uncomfortable with how angry he suddenly became at Jax for something so trivial. He took a deep breath and let the fury crash over him like a wave over a rock. The moment passed.
The creature lived in a cave. That...was actually not so bad. He'd expected some kind of awful bog, or worse an ossuary. A cave, though, he could work with. He looked over the mouth of the cave, wondering how deep it went, how much it branched, or if it was just a big hole in the ground. That was when Core stepped forward, insisting that he be the one to go in first.
"That's...really courageous of you, kid. But if there's one thing I've learned from the music industry, it's that you never engage an opponent in their own venue. They know where the lights are pointing. They know where the bar is. They have the key to the restroom." For a moment, he seemed miles away, as if remembering something horrible.
"No, if we go in there we have the disadvantage. Out here, Kay - and anyone else who's capable - can fly. Out here, we can scatter if things go tit--I mean things go south." He stopped himself before saying 'tits up' in front of a five-year-old. "Anyone know whether or not bulls have sensitive ears? Might be that I can pull him out here after giving him one monster of a headache." He drew his guitar off his back as he offered the beginnings of a plan.

The male simply watched as the purple-suited one who called himself Jax started forward to attempt to reason with Kay, perhaps, when her guardian struck Jax hard enough to send him into a whirling mass of entropy. He couldn't tell if the swat had actually been that powerful, if Jax was that weak...or if he was attempting to perhaps make the others laugh in some form of slapstick comedy. If so, it appeared he'd chosen some of the worst possible recipients for his comedy routine, if that was in fact what he was attempting. As he tripped, fell, and threw an almost impossibly large amount of dirt and mud into the air, Alexander shifted subtly, avoiding the debris as it rained down around him.
He watched then as Jax stood, moving to apparently spit all over his hands in order to clean off their outfits from the dust and debris. As he drew close, Alexander smacked the man's hand away. "Don't touch me," he said simply, noting that Arynx had a similar reaction, whereas Kay simply avoided him and it seemed that Core got a little more...violent. Still, Alexander assumed the fellow should know by now how you should act around people, given his age, but as he continued to watch him, the young man began to wonder just what had happened to this Jax fellow in his life to cause him to lack all common decency. He wondered if others found him amusing, because he was both irritated and piteous of the fellow.
"Caverns," Alexander mused as they walked, taking steps to consider things. That did, in fact, put a bit of a halter in the plan he'd been devising, especially if there was a lack of light in the caves. He imagined the beast could get by on sense of smell, and that would put the rest of them at a disadvantage. His gaze moved to the two youngsters, curious if either of them had any ability to see in the dark. He did not, and he didn't imagine that Arynx did either, though all of them (except for Alex himself) likely had the ability to sense and understand ki energy. He knew that put him at a distinct disadvantage here, and he hoped that one day he might get the ability to actually sense other beings by their energy.
Alex opened his mouth to offer some counter advice to Core's statement of simply going to meet the problem head-on, when Arynx beat him to it. "Musical allegories aside, Arynx is right. Fighting a creature we know little about, in its own home, in the darkness, when it might have allies we can't see...there's not a lot of sense to be made, there," he spoke, giving the musician a small nod as he looked at the guitar. "I don't know for certain if they do have sensitive hearing or not, but if you're able to create something cacophonous, I'm certain that would draw him out, regardless," Alex mused, looking to the others. He was in relative approval of this plan.
"That or it's going to tell him exactly where we are," he added after a moment.

Yes, he had been successful. His ploy to try and win over those around him had been an utter triumph of great proportion. He did find it odd that when he tried to clean everyone off to make up for his misdeeds everyone either avoided him or was aggressive rude and sometimes even downright hostile to him, but eh, in the long-run, he had made a new bundle of friends and allies today.
Walking alongside the others, occurred to Jax that he recognized some of the members of what he was surly later going to market later as "the Jolly MonsterSlayerz". The girl he had definitely ran into before, along with lightly browned haired human. The blue-skined one seemed to summon a strange feeling of competition and the almost dire need to rap, although Jax couldn't for the life of him tell why. It was odd to him, how often he kept running into people and forgetting their names on a regular basis. He needed to work on that, as keeping track of names was a rather important part of being future president of the planet Earth.
Taking a moment to not indulge in his own immensely interesting and world-changing thoughts, Jax tried to listen in on the conversation that everyone else was having, hoping that he could bring something of worth to the group's current predicament. He overheard something about a plan which involved egging the monster out of it's natural residence, which while good, he felt lacked a very important detail.
"What about bait?" Stopping in place, hoping to get the attention of the others, Jax addressed those nearby. "We could send over someone to quickly go into the cave, get the beast's attention, and quickly run out. By the time the monster gets out of the cave, everyone else will be waiting, and we can attack in full force? Does that sound groovy?"
Staring at each and every person one by one, Jax tried to analyze them, as if he thought the longer and harder he stared the more about the person he'd know. Sadly, social skills and the abilty to read people was not one of his strengths, but the way he thought about it, the bigger he made his eyes and the more intelligent he made his face seem when looking at the others they wouldn't be able to tell he had literally no idea what he was doing.

Kay shrugged when Core asked why monsters always hung out in caves and said, ruefully, “I don’t know but...it sure looks dark in there.” It was a large cavern, enough for three of the beasts to walk abreast and double the height of one. And that was just its mouth, who knew how deep into its gullet they’d have to go to find it. When Core offered to go first Kay said, “No, no way!” She’d never forgive herself if something happened to Core on her watch. If Core went, she went, and that was that.
As Arynx spoke up, she nodded vigorously along with his words. There, at least the musician had sense and proved it. Personally, she thought the idea good and bad. If it worked, and they lured it out and only pissed it off, what then? Then again...they didn’t really have good sources of light to go crawling around in caves and get their heads bitten off, or whatever this thing did with its...victims. No one really knew seeing that it only kidnapped them and took them away before doing whatever it did with them. About to agree with Arynx, she hesitated when Alex spoke.
If it did tell the Minotaur exactly where they were, then that would instigate the fight out there in the open in broad daylight which was sort of what they wanted, right? “I think the plan is to tell it where we are…” she trailed off because the flaw in that was maybe it knew some hidden way to sneak up behind them and tear them all asunder with its crazy claw hands. Did it have crazy claw hands? She couldn’t remember. At least out here they could see any potential pitfalls, inside they’d be blind to any traps natural or otherwise.
And then The Purple Man spoke again, making himself loudly heard by all. “Sending ahead a scout might not be the worst idea…” she said.
Nana looked over at Jax as if sizing him up. “Well, it was your suggestion, I think you should be the one to go and be the bait. Gather intel if you can, maybe we can make use of this plan. We’ll be right behind you.” Kay smiled, knowing Nana was just giving Jax the chance to prove himself a worthy candidate for the position of leadership on Earth.
Kay-El looked at each of the others, really enjoying the sense of teamwork for the first time in her life. Always before, back home on Shikk and even here on Earth, she always depended on herself or the few that were close she knew she could count on. Now this camaraderie grew a strange, warm feeling in the pit of her stomach. Strangers at first, perhaps, or acquaintances at best, they really were coming together as a unit to help solve the problem together.
Just then a mighty roar sounded from inside the cave, loud and thunderous as a night’s sky filled with light and rain. She swallowed hard and looked in that general direction, eyes wide and tail held close to her body.

The young Arcosian would smile at the musician that called him brave. But he wasn’t really with the idea of not fighting them in their own venue, after all, they had the element of surprise. If they were letting them get out, they wouldn’t have such an advantage against them, it was probably the best chance they would get. When he hear him ask if those monster had sensitive ears, Core would look at him with wide eyes in panic as he putted an hand on his guitar quickly. ‘’No. I have REALLY sensitive ears and… I don’t want to be broken by your music 10 minutes before the creature would even ear it…’’ Core would say, not wanting to hear this music that was so horrible to him once again, especially if it was played to hurt his ears specifically.
Core would then turn slowly to his friend Kay-El who said that she didn’t wanted him to go, he felt in his voice that, well, she was rather afraid that something would happen to him, which would make him blush lightly and look away shyly. ‘’ O-okay… w-we can find something else t-then…’’ Core would say in his really shy voice, it was the first time he heard himself talking in such a voice; it was really weird to hear even for him.
The purple man was still talking, but the young changeling was completely ignoring him, clearly this man wasn’t one that he could get behind when he had a plan, he was more like a crazy man that was simply talking to say nothing and everything at the same time, though there was nothing smart Core caught that was coming from the man’s mouth, only stupid ideas, Core was beginning to be annoyed by his presence, especially with the shame he putted on him earlier.
Core would nod lightly to Kay-El’s idea, making them know we were here would give them the opportunity to make an ambush would be theirs. ‘’ You’re right… but… the way to get them out of there… that’s what he need right now…’’ The Arcosian would say to his friend as he sat on the ground and began to think for a while; there was something about this that wasn’t on their side.
The thing that would make Core go back on his feet’s was the roar that he would hear from the cave, he was immediately ready for anything, he would go beside Kay-El and mostly in front of most people, getting into position for a fight. ‘’ Be ready people… I think they’re getting out…’’ Core would say, closing his eyes and using his ki-sense, he was feeling a couple of them, getting closer by the time, though their signature was blurry, maybe they were hiding their true power? [Beast like them? Hiding their ki-signature? How… are they smarter than we first thought?] The changeling would tell himself, looking down a bit as he opened back his eyes.

" The whole point is to give away where we are, Alex," Arynx said to the young human, " We're luring it out, not sending it a Spacebook message." Arynx raised an eyebrow at Jax as the man suggested the alternative of sending in bait. Sure, that could also work, but it ran the risk of someone getting murdered and eaten in the dark before they could do any good. He was about to speak up when Kay's nana, Ban, spoke for him. Arynx tried to stifle a laugh as the woman suggested that Jax himself be the bait. " If anyone is gonna be bait, it should be the person who suggested it after all." And then...and then Core, the young and naive Arcosian committed a cardinal sin. Not only did the kid once again openly talk shit about Arynx's music, but he dared to lay his hands on Arynx's guitar, getting his grubby mitts all over the Holy Axe's strings. Arynx's face visibly bunched up as his eyes narrowed at the young Arcosian. His lips curled back over his teeth, and he jerked the guitar away from Core rather harshly. " Kay, I recommend you cover this kid's delicate little ears. I'm through waiting." His voice came out cold and sharp, like falling icicles. He cranked the volume on his guitar to a solid 9. He wanted to leave some room to go higher in case shit got truly real. " Prepare your fucking socks, you monster," Arynx said quietly under his breath, " Because they're about to get rocked off this damn planet." Arynx took his fingers to the strings and played a super-tasty jam.

Alexander gave a small sigh as he realized that the point he had attempted to make had not been as eloquent as he would have liked. In fact, from the reaction he received, he was fairly certain that he hadn't communicated exactly what he had sought to at all, as all of them seemed oblivious to the fact that they were on the Minotaur's turf, and not the other way around. Arynx wanted to lure it out which was absolutely fine, but they were staring at but one entrance to the cavern. The last thing that they needed was one charging up on them from another direction entirely that they weren't expecting and having to deal with someone bleeding out. It wasn't at all what he had tried to offer and truth be told, he wasn't certain he could communicate that difference.
Jax had asked about bait then, and the young man gave the idea some serious thought. While the idea itself was rather...crude, all things considered, it did have some merit. This beast had been coming to that nearby village in order to take people, for whatever reason. If they offerred up a sacrifice, then it was entirely possible that it might take that bait and come out after whoever it was. As soon as it was offered, many began to indicate that the man in purple himself act as bait, which Alex didn't particularly see a problem with. He seemed rather wily and spry, and could probably get away from the creature if anything happened. That alone was something that he didn't quite have as his own style was very...stationary, for the most part. He needed to learn other styles, but for now moving quickly wasn't exactly his forte.
Alexander then turned his gaze to Core, about to comment when the roar rang out from all around them. The trees and caverns distorted the sound, making it seem like it was coming from all sides at once, which is something that set the young man's nerves on edge. "That's what I had originally meant by letting it know where we were," Alex spoke, glancing to the others. "There may be other exits, or perhaps even a tunnel beneath where we stand and all it might take is one move to put us into its trap, instead of the other way around. We know nothing about this creature- going in blind could be the death of us all," he said simply, not afraid to address the idea of dying, even around the children. He had come close recently, with Ayumu's "lesson" or whatever it had been, and as such, he had made his peace a little more quickly than most.
Arynx then began to ready himself before it seemed like he was going to play something. Alexander gave a small sound as he moved back a bit, turning around to face the opposite direction. He was going to pull in everything around them. What if there were bandits? Or another beast that the minotaur was keeping at bay? Hell, there could just be a powerful fighter lingering around that might enjoy picking off some weaker fighters out of some sort of twisted enjoyment. He supposed that if the man was used to the limelight then he was used to being accosted from several different things at once, but Alex was not, and the whole idea of this was setting him on edge.
Silently, he gathered his ki and invoked the void as well, a tattoo-like mark beginning to show up around his right forearm as he channeled the power. His normal white aura was tinged with black at the edges, a clear indicator to anyone who might have trained with Ayumu in the past that Alexander had some level of the void under his belt. As the pain came back, emanating from his arm and permeating his body, he became aware of the others in a new sense. He had always known what was there, standing before him, but as the Void began to fill him, he also became acutely aware of what was 'not' there. He could see the absence of power, life and ki in all of them, better than he could sense the opposite. His gaze turned, hunting for the beasts even as he covered another direction, just in case they decided to ambush the ambushers.

"Me...?"
Almost as soon as Jax had suggested that the group use one of their own as bait, many of the others pointed to him as the person best suited for the role. In a way, it flattered him. Not only did he so obviously succeed in earning back the others' trust, but he had also shown a great deal of charisma to have had gained their trust with the task of being able to be the one to draw out the creature. Of course, he was the worst possible person for such a job, but that was besides the point. The thought was flattering nevertheless, and besides, why not he try to get the monster? If he failed, nothing that bad could happen. He had a whole group of backing him up on this, it couldn't possibly go as bad as his previous endeavours.
"Well, yes, I suppose I would be up for the job. Why not the main man himself, am I right?"
Suddenly, a large prideful smile came over Jax's face, along with a couple of gleeful chuckles. He tried to hold it back, but he couldn't, it was as if he been overcome with joy. He was going to help. For the first time in a very long time, he was going to actually help somebody. It seemed that for the past while that his attempts at helping others had been unsuccessful, to say the least, and oftentimes ended up putting him in an embarrassing position, when all things were said and done. But this was different. Yes, this time, Jax would go in there, and show that beast who's who, and make it sorry for attacking that town. And afterwards, everyone would love him, and vote for him, and he would continue to help everyone and be the raddest guy of all time. Yes, everything was coming up Punchlust.
While Jax finished laughing to himself as if he was a small child, the oddly-skinned man seemed to get into a tiff with the young Arcoisan over the matter of the man's guitar. In response to the issue, the man began playing it rather loudly, a strangely familiar tune coming out of it. He swear he could place the man, but he couldn't for the life of him figure out why. At the same time as the problem between those two sorted itself out, Jax noticed the pretty boy of the group (well, the pretty boy after himself, but that wasn't a fair competition) started to glow and acted a bit strange, looking around themsleves as if to make sure no one was following.
"Is everyone okay there, sonny boy?" Waltzing up to him, Jax rubbed his nose with his thumb, as he stretched his leg forward and leaned his body over with it, trying to look as relaxed yet also as masculine as possible. "It looks as if you're worried about something. By the way, I hate to admit it, but though I'm sure we met before, I can't remember your name. I don't think I have to introduce myself, however."
Reaching his hand out as if for a shake, Jax placed subtly placed a pin in Alexander's hand, handing out the left-over "VOTE FOR JAX" merchandise that he wasn't able to give to the townsfolk.
"But yeah, anyway that I can help you, buddy? "

Several things seemed to happen at once and Kay’s eyes widened further. The feeling of that teamwork seemed to vanish as Core touched Arynx’s guitar. Didn’t he know touching a musician’s guitar was like, well, like touching their children or something. When the rocker spoke it was like someone else took over for that moment. Cold, distant, chills crept down her spine at the tone. “ Core, cover your ears,” she suggested. Her eyes tracked the movement of Arynx’s fingers as he amped up to play and braced herself for it as well. As he prepared to play, it looked like the others were in various states of contemplation or distress. Core, tensed for battle, made her rethink her own stance as she flew up into the air. Last she checked, these beasts couldn’t fly which gave her the advantage of higher ground. Nana hovered above the ground, wielding her walking stick like a staff and ready to use it if need be. A blueish green aura began to swirl around Kay as she charged her Ki, humming softly, focusing on channeling her energy into attacking the beast if need be. When this creature came out, they’d be ready. Alex seemed to agree The Purple Man should be bait and it did sound like a halfway good plan, until Arynx started to play. Yes, he’d draw anything in the area to them potentially, but maybe they’d be okay. Alex, though, seemed to shift somehow she couldn’t quite put her finger on. The mark on his forearm, was that new? She didn’t remember it being there earlier but then again, she could have easily overlooked it. The creature roared again as Purple spoke with Alex and Arynx began to play. To say the song was loud would be an understatement to make even the most modest and humble proud. It ripped through the air, making waves through ears and trees alike. The very ground shook with the beat, rocks inside shifted inside the cavern, sliding, and out emerged the beast. He glared down at them. Well, at least now he’d come out Jax didn’t need to be bait, but she was glad to see him accept the offer and show a bit of spine...not literally, though. That’d just be gross. She wondered, briefly, if the cave would come down and if it did...how would that effect everything else living in there? As a large crack appeared in the stone the monster trembled, staring at them as if daring them to attack. Core Stold

The young Changeling would look back at the weird musician as he spoke to him coldly and rude, Core was not going to let himself be bullied like so and would take a rather aggressive look. ‘’ Mock me one more time mister. I dare you to, and see what happen to your precious little torture stick here.’’ Core would say in the same cold and sharp voice, though his was more of a calm warning, though Kay-El’s tip would put him out of it, he would turn to his friend and sigh lightly as he turned his head and pointed at both side of his head, were his ears should be and would then sigh. ‘’ I guess I’m just going to have to endure this again…’’ Core would say in a tired voice.
When the music began, it was even worse than he expected; random loud noises were repeating and echoing in his head, creating a cacophony of hell that would be driving him crazy if he haven’t had such a natural resistance, but his face was clearly showing that his headache was getting monstrous by the time it was getting really loud. If he wasn’t controlling himself, Core would already have incinerated the musician’s damn stick of hell.
The young Arcosian’s attention would be caught by their mysterious human friend, who was now glowing in a strange light, his face was clearly showing pain and his arm’s tattoo were acting weirdly, though Core noticed that Alexander was doing it on purpose, maybe he wasn’t fully human after all, as the power he was summoning was something Core had never heard of in his entire life, which wasn’t that long to be honest, but was filled with never-ending classes about the different species in the world. ‘’ W-what is that power… Alexander? Do you need help?!’’ Core would yell out, trying to be heard over the sound of this so called ‘jam’, hoping that the human wasn’t going through a phase that would make him lose control of himself right now.
Then the Arcosian finally noticed that the beast were coming out, he was hoping that Arynx would stop his music really quick, the changeling wouldn’t be able to fight correctly against anything but the source of this music, not able to concentrate on anything but how much he wanted to stop those sounds and unable to maintain his fighting stance. Core could somewhat see that the purple man was trying to talk, and even if he was really creepy and annoying, he would have paid to be able to hear him voice instead of this unstoppable music that was echoing in his head and slowly driving him crazy.
Core couldn’t hear anyone right now, much less do anything. The young Arcosian was focusing on trying to reduce his hearing, should he try to augment it and ear someone over this music, his hearing would probably drive him instantly crazy and he wouldn’t be able to resist the urge, which at this point would probably be called an instinct, to destroy the source of the sound… could it be the instrument or the musician.

Arynx rocked hard. Not as hard as he'd ever rocked before, and certainly not harder. If he were being honest with himself, his heart just wasn't in this one. Nobody seemed to even NOTICE he was playing aside from Core, who seemed like he might actually become physically ill from it. Arynx's ego took a heavy blow in that moment, and he briefly considered just packing it in and going home.
And then a creature stepped out of the cave, looking quite a bit more furious than Arynx had expected. It was big and nasty, and smelled even stronger than it looked. Arynx snapped back into battle mode. He hit one last chord on his guitar, letting it hang as he opened his mouth and sang a powerful harmonizing note. His voice reverberated into the mouth of the cave, echoing into the monster's ears to hopefully entrance it into a daze.
"SOMEONE BRING THE CAVE DOWN ON IT, NOW!" Arynx shouted before he could see how the monster reacted. He now gripped his guitar less like an instrument and more like a literal axe. ______________________________________________ Used Stunning Voice [SU1]: Through opening his throat and singing a few bars, Arynx can entrance just about anyone with ears, including his opposition. Alexander could feel the music washing over him from Arynx's song, but even through that cacophony, it seemed that the others had taken an interest in his...unique gifts, as it were. He supposed he couldn't blame them- this was the first time that he'd shown it around anyone, and it was part of the reason that he had come on this little expedition- to learn to gain control of this power of his. There was always an odd...rush, when he used it, like a high level of excitement that shot through his entire body. It was like he was being injected with adrenaline, only that adrenaline brought with it a high level of excitement, too. He couldn't deny that this power was intoxicating to use...and he wanted to keep using it. His training was starting to focus in what he could do to not become addicted to this rush.
As Jax approached, he gave a simple, grim nod. "I'm fine," he responded to the man, even as Jax continued to draw closer. Alexander wasn't exactly a fan of the fellow's rather ridiculous nature, but he knew that the fellow did mean well, at least it seemed. That or he was a remarkable actor- it was honestly difficult for Alex to tell. "Just a by-product of this...gift of mine," he responded, having to pause for a moment to think on the best way to word it. The Void flooded through his veins, suffusing his body in something that was definitely not ki, but almost the inverse. However, his concentration was broken somewhat as he suddenly noticed a 'Vote For Jax' pin in his left hand, and his emerald gaze snapped to the fellow in the purple suit, suspicion covering his features as he realized he had no idea when Jax had actually snuck it into his hand.
Core was next, the young Arcosian asking him if there was any help that he needed. Even with the concert going on a mere few inches away from him, Alexander heard the boy's words loud and clear. Or rather, to be more exact, Alexander heard what his words were not. He felt the inverse surrounding the speech, and as the words reached him, his Void aura picked clean everything that they were not, leaving behind only what they were. It was an odd feeling, and Alex wasn't certain how to describe it to himself, let alone anyone else, making it difficult to communicate the problem to others. "I'm fine," he called, louder this time so his words would reach the Arcosian. "Just something that happens, that's all," he responded, letting that power build around his right forearm where the strange tattoo was located.
The music that drifted out from the guitar and Arynx had fallen upon the surrounding area like a maelstrom of force. Alex found it interesting, but it wasn't his cup of tea. He supposed he didn't exactly care for music at all in the first place, and while he couldn't deny that the music and rhythm that Arynx was putting out were good, it just didn't really sit well with him. It seemed, however, that the beast enjoyed it even less as it came out of its cavern, bellowing as if they had personally insulted its mother. Alexander gave a small sound as he turned his gaze to the beast, gathering both Void and Ki in his right hand, planning to aim directly at the beast to see just how much ki resistance it, or rather, if it was also resistant to the Void.
However, Arynx's call came then and he blinked, noting that the stone above had cracked slightly. "On it," Alex spoke, before he brought his right arm up, palm facing outward even as his fingers all curled out as well. There was no large buildup, there was no incredible call of the power's name. Alexander simply released the burst of ki from his outstretched arm, rushing toward the rocks above the beast. It connected, causing a minor explosion as the debris began to rain down on the beast that stood just beneath it. He didn't particularly care if something else was damaged in the meantime as this was their target and, to be honest, nature was resilient.

"Well, this is going to 'cause a change in plans..."
It just so happened that at the same moment that Jax had finished his conversation with the teenager, the monster had appeared before the group. Convenient too, as it meant that he was no longer had to keep his agreement on entering the cave and gaining the attention of the beast. Which, while that a bit of a let-down to himself, as Jax had been excited about the whole cavern exploration concept, it did mean that he could finally focusing on what he was truly good at; beating the random crap out of things.
Caught up in a wave of hype thanks to the loud blasting of Arynx's guitar playing, Jax started to charged his right fist, as those around him made their first moves on the monster. He had a plan, and it was rather simple, and to many it would be simple, but he had to do something. He had to help the others, he had to. He couldn't let anyone else down. As Jax finished his heartwarming inner-thoughts, a small sphere of energy started to form in his palm, signaling to him that it was time to charge at the beast. Almost right after the sphere appeared, however, Alexander sent an energy wave towards the stone, causing hunks of rock and stone down onto the creature below, giving the "future president of earth" a bit of trouble as he had to dodge the various falling pieces of stone. Making his way past a huge hunk of wreckage flying towards his face, Jax finished collecting ki, as an awkward shape that was hard to make out began to made it's way onto the outside of the sphere.
"Alright everyone, you wanted a distraction, here, you got one..."
Rushing full speed, Jax jumped into the air, his body outstretched like a ballerina, with his right fist aimed at the head of the monster.
"KINKYORI..." An small "PLOP" could be heard as a crude happy face appeared on the energy ball, as Jax let it go, hitting the beast full force. "ENERUGĪKEN!"

[N1]Kinkyori Enerugīken: A standard technique of Genwaku To Seishin No Hageshī Sentō Sutairu, the Kinkyori Energuiken is a energy based projectile attack that Jax launches with one hand, creating a purple energy ball that somehow has a rather odd smiley face on the front of the blast. Though the distance of the attack depends on how long it is charged, the attack's general range is extremely short, and can only attack those a few inches away from those that use it, limiting its usefulness.

“ Core, don’t,” she said. And then the Arcosion turned down his hearing and that was that. She sighed, hoping everything would be alright and then the music got to her. Arynx was good - not as good as Hannibelle, but he was still a skilled and talented musician. Into music herself, Kay could appreciate the good stuff when she was around it. Arynx yelled to bring down the cave, and Alex seemed to take the message to heart. Kay stopped worrying about the innocent critters living in there and just focused on her own breathing, on keeping her attack charged - on staying on task. Taking out this Minotaur was for the greater good and sometimes there were casualties. She’d learned that from the Saiyan way of life a long time ago. You could take the Hybrid out of the SSE but you really couldn’t remove the SSE from the Hybrid, as it turned out. When The Purple Man spoke up Kay rolled her eyes, almost losing the charge. She managed to maintain it just barely and then watched as he flung himself at the beast full force, attacking with a maneuver almost as comical as he was. She blinked once, twice, and then brought her hands up. Two fingers out, she touched them to her temples. As the others attacked, Kay did the same, flying higher into the air. Her voice took on a dark timbre as she began to sing, minor notes overtaking the previously major ones and giving the tune a haunting feel that would follow her target in their dreams - if they lasted that long. Her hands and arms extended out to each side, hands forming ‘guns’ as she pictured shutting the beast down from the inside. The cave shuddered and came crashing down around the Minotaur and Jax, but the large beast shielded the human from the brunt of the damage merely by being between the two from the looks of it. Still, she didn’t envy Jax being so up close and personal with the thing. It roared and swung back at the pesky purple thing before finally giving one last cry and falling to the ground, defeated. Looking around at the assembled group she said, “Well...that wasn’t so bad-” That’s when she noticed the man. As the beast fell, crushed by the weight of the collapsed cavern, it shifted into a human and she recognized him from one of the missing person’s notices - the last missing person’s case in that town before the Minotaur began to show up. With no trace of the monster they’d destroyed left, she only wondered what really happened to him? Was he some kind of shifter terrorizing at random? Why? It made no sense… Or maybe he’d been put under some kind of spell or hex in which case whatever did that to him was still out there. Were they here? Or somewhere else, making more of those things? “ We...should probably bring him back to the town or something,” she whispered softly. Whatever did this, they could deal with that some other day. tag Core Stold -- Fired charged UP2: 10,560 KP: 1/3 Sooo wanna wrap up this thread this and next round? I'm gonna make another after this gets graded for the ‘witch hunt.’ Could be fun...
