[ Heavy-weights ]
[ Power level with weights: 7,335 ]
It has been a while since Core had gotten on Earth now, and he was more used to everything around and on the planet, he is getting used to live here from days to days, getting closer of finally being able to call himself an Earthling, though some concept were still weird to him, and a lot of things remained unknown to him, mostly because he was too young to understand them. [ I came to love Earth more than I love Arcose, which isn’t that hard, I barely lived on Arcose… but this place as welcome me as one of the population, I guess I can say this is my adoptive planet ] He would think to himself.
Core was actually in the southern island, next to the water, his feet were waving around in the cold liquid, making him refresh himself under the hot sun that was above him. There was some humans far on his right on a place called the beach, but around him was still a forest and the wilderness, the silence he was surrounded by was only rarely broken by a loud noise coming from the people back at the beach, but it was a rather calm spot where he could think to himself quietly while enjoying both the sun and the nice water of the ocean.
The young Arcosian closed his eyes and rested his upper-body on the ground and his feet and legs mostly in the water, the Arcosian enjoyed the difference between the hot sun and the cold water. After a long moment of relaxing and thinking about his place on Earth, the young Arcosian would decide to wonder in the forest to see if he could find anything interesting, and what he saw was rather surprising to say the least.
While walking innocently in the forest, Core would bump his right foot on something metal that was covered in moss, tilting his head, he would kneel and look at the thing that he bumped into and noticed it was a trap-door, probably a secret entrance/exit to something buried. He would easily open the trap even though it was rather old and would enter the secret building buried under this place.
Wandering around the place, Core was confused, there was a lot of dusty computes and the walls were covered in a weird red-colored ribbon with two ‘r’ on it, one being on the wrong side. After looking a while, Core would happen to discover a room filled with weird incubator, which was one of the things Core knew to have helped in his creator, and inside the was different weird creature, and as Core sensed them, he felt that they were rather strong for embryos, though nothing really scary in term of even a child like him, more like scary if you’re a teen human or weak adult.
The young Arcosian would walk to a computer and began to randomly type on the keyboard some command he knew on his basic informatics class he had, which would first light the incubator and most of the light that would still work, around half of them light up and the other half exploded or never light up to begin with.
Core would hear some sounds coming from outside the room and would quickly hide himself under an incubator, was he followed or were people still working here? That was a really weird question for him, maybe he walked in the wrong place, maybe he wasn’t supposed to be here in the first place at all.

Katsu hummed a gentle tune to himself as he wandered through the backwood paths of Mount Paozu. The BBA had apparently gotten word that there was an old abandoned lab somewhere in the eastern reaches, meant to study some exotic thing or another biology related. Since Katsu was the closest “operative”, they decided to call him up and send him off to investigate. It wasn't really that bad Katsu thought. There was little chance of him actually meeting something capable of killing him after his serum changed him, and he might just be able to find something exotic for his own research. Laboratories that had been abandoned were known to have some lovely sources of information that had been forgotten.
Thinking on the sad subject of how easily knowledge could be lost Katsu nearly overlooked the place on the map that the BBA had said the laboratory was reported to be. Stopping and heading back through the forest paths he came across a low cliff face, covered in deep moss and thick tree roots spidering through it. Although Katsu realized soon enough that it wasn't a natural cliff from a metallic building that had been left to the ravages of the environment. A solid knock to the surface made a dull thunk noise. “Sounds like the trees have grown up the other side of the wall as well...
“Eh... I don't really feel like knocking down this door...maybe I can find another way in...” Katsu mumbled aloud as he started heading around the metal structure, looking for any sort of hole or access point. He was just about to give up when he found a crater in the ground, long overgrown with thick foliage, but the clear signs of a small meteor impact were present even then. With a shrug Katsu let himself fall in, landing on thick roots that covered the room he found himself in. There were tanks, most of them dormant and empty, one or two completely shattered and broken, mostly near the impact site. One however still seemed to contain something, and Katsu approached it, still humming quietly.
A few taps on the ancient looking console attempted to open the container, but the only thing that emerged was something long dead and desiccated. “Horrible way to die... long forgotten, forced to slowly wither and starve, your life snatched away before you could do anything with it...”
Sighing, Katsu continued deeper into the facility. Perhaps there was something still to be gained from this place, or at least some mercy granted to a trapped subject deeper within...

When the young Arcosian would hear someone enter the room, he would sneakily look at him from behind the tanks he was hiding behind, it was a human, and from Core’s ki-sensing, he wasn’t a threat really, but Core decided to wait until he does something, to see if he was working here or was he simply exploring like Core was. After a few moments when he didn’t made any noise, Core would hear the man was typing on one of the computers and would look back at him. [What could he possibly be doing on this computer? There is nothing left here…] He would think to himself at first, but then a wave of goo falled on him alongside a dead embryo, which made Core stand up and yell. ‘’ HOLY SHIT THAT’S DISCUSTING! WHAT THE HELL!’’ He would yell out totally scared as he kicked the embryo away and trying to wipe himself of the goo, he would then look at the human with a rather annoyed face. ‘’ You just had to empty one of me right? You just had to..’’ He would say in an annoyed ton before sighting to himself, he powered up and his ki-aura blew the goo out of him, he would then sigh to himself deeply.
When he calmed himself down, he would look at the human that was with him and would face palm himself before looking up at him. ‘’ I’m so sorry… I just… ugh… I thought you were working here on some sort of secret bad project or something… so I decided to spy on you to make sure you weren’t going to do some evil things… I’m so sorry…’’ He would say, his tail scratching the top of his head lightly before he got closer to the human and presented his hand in sign of respect to him with a rather friendly smile on his face. ‘’ I am Core Stold, a Arcosian, if you aren’t familiar with my species, which wouldn’t be so surprising… what are you possibly doing in there? ‘’ He would ask, tilting his head to the side at the human. Core looked around a bit, waiting for the human's answer, there was really nothing here that was in any state that could do anything, everything was broken, burnt or had a tree growing inside of it, Core had to find the entrance trough a pile of moss, which should say enought about the place to begin with. '' Are you like... exploring this place? Trying to find something useful... like some material or scraps? Maybe some information about this place?'' He would ask more precisely in a rather polite voice.

Katsu's comments and actions were cut short by the sudden appearance of an Arcosian, who was in a bad position as the dead husk of a creature promptly covered him in fetid goo. Katsu would retreat, throwing up a telekinetic wall of solid air to stop the Arcosian's burst of energy from getting that stuff on him.
“Well you're certainly an excitable Arcosian. I'm Katsu Yuda, Core Stold. I was sent here to see what I could see, although it appears that this facility is far too old to yield any... I-is that actually a Red Ribbon logo...?
“Oh for fuck's sake...” Katsu would growl in annoyance, bringing out a datapad from his pocket and dialing a number, ”You sent me to a Red Ribbon facility?! What the hell do you expect me to find in a place this old?! Everything's been dead for thousands of years down here. Why didn't you just hit this place with a cleanup crew and call it a day? Why the hell am I out here instead?” Shouting into his datapad Katsu eventually wound down enough for the person on the other side to respond.
”Reports stated that livestock and pets have been going missing lately, as well as a much greater number of people than expected for the Mount Paozu area. It's likely there's some experiment that managed to survive the ages in stasis and only just now escaped. Basically we need you to make sure the place is safe enough for Cleaning crews to go in, and neutralize anything that might be hostile.”
Katsu sighed, shutting down his datapad and putting it away before looking at Core once more, “Well shit. Looks like I get to put down some poor experiment who's just trying to survive. Feel like coming with, Arcosian? I doubt there's much of anything from the old Red Ribbon that could take you on...”

When the human named Katsu answered to him, Core would simply smile friendly to him, he had looked rude to the human and wanted to change quickly that image of him, after all, he was a civilized young Arcosian and he appeared rude for no good reason to a rather civilized-looking scientist human, which was really not good manner for someone like him. ‘’ The Red Ribbon… and their logo is a … red ribbon? Those people were lacking of imagination back then… also, it’s nice to meet you Katsu Yuda, even if that goo smelled back… I’m glad I don’t have any remaining on me… I don’t like smelling bad..’’ He would say in a rather annoyed voice, looking back at the goo all around the place.
When Katsu got a call, Core would take the obvious pause he had in their discussion to wander around a bit more in this weird place, he would knock on some walls and stick his ear-hole on them, trying to hear if there was any sound that he could hear, and of course, he heard something that would be under them for a few stories, he would raise his shoulder and look back at Katsu who was mostly done with his call and was now talking to him. ‘’ Uh… of course I feel like it, today is such a boring day, if I can get anything to do right now…’’ He would simply say as he pointed under them. ‘’ The creature you’re looking for is downstairs, and its clearly an android… since we can’t sense its power level. We should be careful, it probably knows we’re here and since the person on your thingy said it might be hostile, it might just be on his way here to ‘meat’ us if you know what I mean by that…’’ Core would say, adding a pun as he was trying to sound more… well… earthlingly.
Core would then slowly heads to the stairs that were going down, making sure the human was following him. ‘’ Do not do too much noise, if it’s not smart enough to detect our power level, it would hardly be stupid enough not to hear us…’’ He would whisper to his new as he turned back to where he was going. ‘’Anyway, how do you know they couldn’t take on me?’’ He would ask In a simply whisper.

[OOC: Sorry for slow posting rate. Concentrating on RL atm.]
Katsu would give a shrug as he pressed a few buttons on his Datapad before putting it away, still disgruntled at his current situation, “Just because we can't sense it doesn't mean it couldn't be organic in nature. It just means it's smart enough to hide it's powerlevel. While I suppose it could be a worker robot carrying out some ancient order to sustain the experiments, it seems more likely to me that one of the experiments freed itself and is just eating to survive.
“Given the situation I'd rather try and capture it rather than euthanize it. Might be able to tame it somewhat through standard behavior adjustment processes. No reason to end something's life just because it's an inconvenience.” Even as Katsu said these last words a fly, a small winged insect attracted to the decaying goop that now littered the floor, began to buzz around Katsu's head, perhaps thinking he was the source of the smell of food. With a single hand Katsu snapped his fingers, the fly immediately flattening between two invisible plates of air, dead in an instant. Katsu let his air plates dissipate, and the fly fell to the ground as just that much more goop.
Continuing on as if he didn't even notice his own apparent hypocrisy, Katsu addressed Core's questions, ”Okay. Firstly. The Red Ribbon were out to control the world. History shows that such people lack imagination, time and again. It takes a dull mind to think that controlling the entire world would be something fun to do. Secondly, do you not know of your own species abilities? I do. You're in the suppressed form, and you're further suppressed by what you're wearing. I'm pretty sure that if you unleashed your full strength you'd hit the 200,000..no maybe close to the 300,000 unit mark.
“YOU don't need to worry about a thing as long as you keep your head. As for me I'm starting to get interested to see what the old Red Ribbon managed to cook up that could survive thousands of years of stasis.” Katsu would follow Core deeper into the base, his hands in his pockets and an eerie grin on his face, no care in the world now that there was something interesting to do afoot.

Hearing what the human would say, Core would nod to him lightly and smile at him, he was really smarter than Core first realized. ‘’ You’re right, if he’s innocent and simply tries to survive, there is no reason to kill the beast…I was myself an experiment when I was born, artificially, created for DNA perfection…. And if I would have survive the lab’s end, I wouldn’t want to be called a monster just because I’m trying to survive a world I was brought into against my will.’’ He says in a rather interested ton while they were walking In the creepy abandoned corridor, though beside fear of danger, fear itself was something that Core didn’t experienced a lot, so he didn’t knew the place really was scary.
The young Arcosian would then decide to listen about the Red Ribbon’s story that Katsu was telling him, and like he was guessing, they were bad guys and somewhat stupider than he thought, why would you want to take over the world? Then there would be no one to be different, no one to learn new things with that would literally reduce the fun of the world to zero. When Katsu addressed the special abilities of the Arcosians, Core would smiles widely; this guy knew a lot about most things didn’t he? He was a rather funny and smart guy, definitively someone you wanted on your side should something bad happen and brute strength couldn’t solve. ‘’ Well well, I didn’t expected someone to be fluent in Arcosian’s anatomy among the human, they usually don’t even know what I am, and don’t worry, I am very aware of what kind of transformation I have, I was just wondering if you were simply guessing with my suppressed power level or if you had seen my weights.’’ He would say with a simply giggle as he looked back at him, smiling friendly.
When the youngling would turn his head back to the corridor they were now walking through since they couldn’t go further down, they would begin to hear doubtful noise, the kind of noise you don’t want to hear when the light is low and you don’t know where you are, especially when the place in question is long abandoned, but they were surely getting closer to what they were looking for. ‘’ Stay close to me mister Katsu, who wouldn’t want to split up here right?’’ He would say, his voice was confident, his sense were sharpened, he was looking for the experimentation, not especially in an aggressive way, but he wanted to see it before it sees him.

Katsu gave a sudden sniff as they continued to walk down the steps into the darkness. Besides the differences in lighting Katsu could smell something different. Something...organic. The smell of fresh feces and urine mixed with digestive fluids, and somehow a hint of... yes, Katsu felt it on his skin. Ozone, electrically charged oxygen, was getting thicker and thicker the farther down they went. Katsu knew most wouldn't be able to recognize Ozone so he spoke up to his impromptu partner in a low voice, “Careful... Either there are damaged but functioning machines on this level, or else our friend in the dark is electrically charging the air. That could mean a lot of things, but worst case scenario we get lightning thrown at us.”
Just before stepping out of the stairwell Katsu stopped short, tilting his head to the side, trying to listen for the tell tale noises of a malfunctioning machine, an engine revving much too high to compensate for power loss, or electrical sparks from a damaged cable. No such noises, although Katsu could still hear the creature moving about, very far off yet the noise of its footsteps echoing a great distance in the abandoned hallways. The thing was big, those footsteps were cumbrous and heavy, and Katsu thought he heard the click-clack of claws against the floor as well, the distance was too far to judge properly. However, a certain quality of the sound made Katsu look down.
Water had flooded this entire level, a mere inch or two covering the entire floor. Katsu had stopped himself just in time to not step in the liquid, but he smiled at a sudden thought he had, and again spoke up to his partner, “This is getting more and more interesting. This thing is quite intelligent. Look here on the floor, water everywhere. Our friend has laid a trap in its lair, simple but effective. Anything steps in the water, and our friend releases whatever source of electricity there is down here, frying whatever dared enter its lair. It'd make an easy snack of just about anything incapable of flight with that little tactic.
“If you can fly, I'd suggest you float just above the water without touching it. I've got rubber soled shoes and can't fly, so I'll just walk on the water instead. Listen to those footsteps though, this creature is big, at least three meters...maybe four. ” Katsu was genuinely getting excited now. This creature was smarter than some humans were at this point. Katsu really wanted to see what it was now! Stepping out onto the water, Katsu walked across the liquid like it was a solid, gentle ripples spreading from his every step. Telekinesis was such a great ability!

As Core would breath in once when he came down to the stairway, he would decide that using his Arcosian special anatomy not to need to breath was a pretty good idea since the smell he felt that one breathing in was so horrible, it made him cough several time, it was really horrible, though it wasn’t surprising if a moment had lived here for the whole time it was abandoned, Core would put this on organic rejections, which Arcosian didn’t had since they were burning every single bit of things they ate. ‘’ Damn… this place is extremely discussing… I’m sad for you as you need to breathe regularly… you’re sure you don’t need a gas mask?’’ He would say to his scientist friend, he could not believe he was breathing in this easily white this scent around them. When he heard what he said though, Core would be on his guard. Even though lightning wasn’t the scariest of things for him, coming for a powerful enough monster, it could deal a lot of damage.
Core heard the monster’s step and a small metallic-ish noise, meaning the monster would have some sharp claws or could bite really hard, which either wasn’t making Core really happy to have to meet this monster, even though he thought he would be safe, after all, Like Katsu said, he could always transform and give the beast more challenge than it could most likely take, especially since it was just a bestial monster like the sounds were suggesting.
When Core heard once more the making some though about the monster, positive though because apparently the man was obsessed with this monster that was probably dreaming to eat both of them and could be aware of their presence right now if it was as intelligent as Katsu though it was, and Core would have no problem believing it giving the fact that he had gave him. ‘’ A trap uh… and electrical trap nonetheless, this creature is way more intelligent that we could previously believe… we should be careful… but again, if it’s so intelligent, there is maybe a way to communicate with it… but I suggest you fly on me… I can easily lift you and if you walk on that water… well…you’re going to alert it with your noises…’’ He would whisper lightly to the scientist as they could hear a monstrous growl coming from the hallway they were facing, they were definitively spotted by the monster. ‘’ Well… too late…. Prepare yourself… and stay behind me… I can take much more punishment than you… and I wouldn’t stand having a dead body in the arms… if you have any range weapon or ki-based attack, I suggest you do just that if ever this creature is not willing to cooperate or talk with us…’’ Core would say as he turned to the creature in a battle stance, flying above the water and staring at it directly, though he couldn’t see it, it was hidden in the darkness.

[OOC: Sorry if it seems like Katsu is being played up like a Mary Sue character, I just rarely get the chance to have a character put in their specialty, and Biology is Katsu's specialty XD]
Shrugging Katsu would reply to the Arcosian's comment on the smell, “While putrid, not nearly as bad as the rotten creature we found above. Urine and feces are kind of something you get used to smelling when you work with bio-engineering like I do.”
Of course it was soon to be the action part of our thread, with Core catching a glimpse of the creature as it heaved itself across the hallway deceptively quick for its body size. Yet there was a much smaller movement that Katsu caught, as he had not leapt forward as Core had. There were much smaller creatures, barely a foot long, slithering from doorways, beginning to swarm on Core's location as he moved forward.
Thinking quickly Katsu slammed his foot into the floor as hard as he could while snatching at every scrap of water he could, parting the water the entire length of the hallway and creating a long wall on either side of Core, solid as rock. The dozens upon dozens of giant leeches that slammed into that wall would have covered Core from head to toe had they managed to reach him. However now that they were caught it was a simple matter to stick a solid spear of water through each of them, skewering them right in their center of mass.
A sound of anger or perhaps frustration escaped the body of the large creature still hidden in the shadows before it slipped away, the noise of its travel suddenly far quieter. Katsu was downright impressed at this point. Walking up to where Core was, probably looking at the leeches that had been hunting for him, Katsu spoke again, “Wow. Our friend is downright vicious. These are Haementeria ghilianii, also known as the Giant Paozu Leech. They're uncommonly found in the area and are one of the locations less known killers. They've adapted to the thick hides of their common prey, various species of lizards and dinosaurs, and they've got the ability to pierce even an Arcosian's hide given enough time.
"No more reckless combat, I'd suggest. If this thing can live down here with these leeches it's either got some method of controlling them or has a tough enough hide so that the leeches wouldn't even bother."

When the human answered about the smell that Core commented about, the Arcosian would tilt his head looking at him, it was rather odd that his work had him used to the smell of feces, bio-engineering must be a really bad job if you had to smell that kind of smell every day or almost, but Core decided to shrug it off. ‘’ You’re a bio-engineer? That’s kind of cool, you’re like the people who created me, maybe I could help you with some things!’’ He would propose, smiling lightly as his new friend before his attention was taken away by other things.
When Core noticed the swarming parasite on the ground, he would began to send precise and small ki-blast, burning them on place delicately so he wouldn’t made too much sound or damage anything that could fall on him, he would then look a bit at Katsu who had stomped on him, he would nod lightly to thank him as he turned his gaze to look at the monster, what kind of monster could live in such a mess, even if it was a bio-engineered beast, it would need something else to eat right?
When the creature at the end of the corridor would escape a loud noise that frightened Core a bit, the arcosian was ready for some sort of attack, but he wasn’t that surprised then when the monster simply vanished from their vision, leaving no trace of help to see where it went, Core turned to Katsu, hearing about his information and explication, shivering a bit at the mention of his hide being pierced. ‘’ That is discussing… but… I won’t give them enough time to swarm on me… no way I’m getting killed in this basement..’’ He would simply answer to the human’s information about the beast.
Core would then fly forward a bit slower, he didn’t wanted to get caught by the insects again and was very careful to where he was flying to and his surrounding, his sensed were sharpened at their maximum, probably nothing could sneak on him if it didn’t had a great speed. ‘’ You’re right, stick with me… that way we have more reaction of somethings happen and we have each other’s back… we’re going to have and get rid of this monster quickly before it finds a way to to the same to us..’’ The youngling would say in a slightly afraid voice.

[OOC: Sorry about the post. I lost power in the middle of writing my post, was out for quite a while before it came back. Spring Windstorms.]
Katsu put his hands in his pockets once more, adopting a more calm smile as he moved forward with Core, a single burst of Ki bringing forth a small ball of light that hovered above and behind Katsu's head, illuminating the entire hallway in a pale white light. At this point it was obvious the creature had some ability to navigate within the darkness so at that point it had no merit to continue on in darkness. The light was where Arcosians and Humans could see the best. “Stay calm, Core. Take a deep breath. Or maybe not, since the stench bothers you so, but you get the idea. Take a moment to collect yourself.”
While Core was collecting himself Katsu would investigate their immediate area, trying to see what he could discover by the things he could see in the flooded hallways. After all it was the things at home that told the most about a creature, and it seemed their friend was no different in that regard. What Katsu found the most of as he knelt down to peer into the shallow water was shed skin. Reptilian skin. There were soaked scraps all over the hallways, some pieces as big as Katsu's torso, but most much smaller. Picking up one of the large pieces Katsu held it up in the air, examining the material.
“Hmm. This shedding has survived remarkably well in the water, most species skin would fall apart only a day or so after being submerged, but there's far too much skin about to have been all from yesterday... The texture is off as well, it's almost like treated eel leather. Perhaps our friend is some hybrid of reptile and fish?” Discarding the skin Katsu would dust off his hands before beginning to walk down the hallway warily. The smells were getting worse and worse and they went forward however, and finally Katsu had to note, “Prepare yourself... I think we're about to come across all the missing pets and people, but I doubt any of them are going to be in a condition to say anything...”
Turning the corner, even Katsu had to give a slight cough, waving his hand in front of his face. The stench of dead flesh rotting in water was overpowering, and human smelled the worst to humans. It was instinctual. Slowly approaching the corpses, which were literally piled up in one corner of the room, Katsu peered at the corpses, the little ball of Ki floating over to hover above the pile. It was quite obvious that they had all been used for food, most of the corpses were half-eaten, great chunks ripped away by large jaws. Strangely enough the heads of each of the people and animals were still intact. Coughing again Katsu grabbed his datapad out of his pocket and aimed it at the corpses as they all suddenly rose to float into the air in a long line.
Katsu's next words would tell Core what he had been doing, “Marii Schentovskey. Arnold Freeman. Marco Merced. Yeah, they're all the missing people. I'll assume this poodle and the monkey are the missing pets as well...” Katsu continued cataloging each of the corpses. It would at least give their families closure on the fact that they were dead...

As the human told him to, Core would begin to calm himself, it was clear that the human knew what he was doing, even if Core didn’t, but he doubted that he would leave him in the dark when speaking of information, it was rather clear that Katsu was an ally of is and that he had to do whatever he said to help him best in his ‘quest’ to vanquish this beast they had barely seen a bit before, the Arcosian would still be floating above the water, looking around in confusion but still with a light smile on his face, he didn’t had to smell the stench of this place, which was plenty enough for him to be praising the species he was from.
When Core saw that the scientist stopped to look at the dead skin that was laying under-water, the Arcosian would stop as well, he didn’t wanted to end up alone of all things and they could learn a lot about the creature from its skin, especially its origin and maybe a couple of weakness. When he saw the chunk of skin Katsu pulled up in front of him to examine it, Core would widen his eyes a bit, he didn’t knew the beast was this big, seeing that much skin coming off of it like nothing, especially since most of the pieces were like this and there was so much of them.
Hearing what the man had to say about the composition of the skin and what the beast could be, Core would smirk, that was a beast that he could take care off easily, both animals didn’t had much protection against heat, which was his primal way to fight. ‘’ Good, it won’t be too hard to get rid of it then, I was more afraid for it to have a heat-proof skin that wouldn’t be able to catch fire… like some sort of rock-monster or something like that..’’ He would say, rather optimistic about the beast’s weakness, at least it was giving him a lead.
As they entered the room were the corpse were all laying, Core would shiver a lot, looking away from it, he didn’t wanted to see what was wrong with these corpse, the view of a dead being was really not something he wanted to enjoy after this already spooky way through the corridor. The Arcosian would simply hear the naming of their names and would then nod lightly. ‘’ We should burn them, at this point, there is no point of bringing them back to their family… it would only show them how much they suffered…’’ He would say as he turned back and, from his eyes, shot a laser to each of them, quickly consuming the bodies and leaving piles of ash out of each of them, he would then look over his shoulder as they could see two bloody-red eyes appearing at the end of the corridor.
Core didn’t even had the time to tell Katsu before the creature would roar, a strange sound that wasn’t really animal like but much more out of a nightmare, they were in his kitchen, stealing his food, and the creature wasn’t really looking to share any of it. The beast would begin to charge them across the corridor. At first, Core was paralyzed from fear, but them his ki-sensing got his attention, he beast’s power level, even if impressive to earthlings, was nothing that he couldn’t take care of, merely five thousand and five hundreds, really, this creature WAS from a nightmare, but from a human one. ‘’ Stay back Katsu… I got this.’’ He would say, all confident as he would get into a defensive stance, ready for the impact the creature was going to make towards him.

[OOC: I'll let you go a couple rounds with the monster before Katsu pipes up again]
Katsu would silently agree with the opinion Core put forth. Most humans indeed couldn't stand the thought of their loved ones in pain, and seeing the state of the bodies was considered a horrible thing to put a person through. So Katsu let Core vaporize each of the corpses in turn, and taking out one of his capsules normally reserved for specimen storage Katsu programmed it to compartmentalize itself so that it could separately store the ashes within itself. Once the ashes were cool enough not to melt the storage unit Katsu placed them in one by one, labeling each one very thoroughly. He more or less didn't care about these people himself, but having everything neat and tidy was preferred.
When the beast appeared Katsu would merely place his storage capsule away calmly and stay kneeling on the ground, inputting information to his datapad. There were rewards out for some of the missing people, and Katsu could probably gain some pocket cash by turning them all in. ”I'll run interference, keep the fight between you and it.”
And so Katsu would do just that, keeping his eyes and ears open in case something else decided to try and come along to spoil their skirmish, using his telekinesis to block and skewer anything with the ever present water in the area.

Seeing that the Human was taking care of the pile of ashes that once were the corpse of the deceased and half-destroyed being that were killed by the monster. ‘’ Make sure they go back to their family, in this form at least they won’t be scared and they can give them a proper burial…’’ Core would tell his human friend, not that Core was caring all that much, but he would feel if someone would tell him one of his brother is dead and not bring him something so he could honor him and burry him properly. [ I hope you’re all doing good brothers…] He would suddenly think to himself, a bit concerned.
When the impact came on Core and would hit the powerful wall that was the young Arcosian, the beast would literally lift from the rear, he wasn’t expecting such resistance against such a small being and was trying to bite him hard and aggressively, Core holding him as he turned to Katsu. ‘’ Are we supposed to kill or capture it?! Because I don’t like to play around with big murderous monster!’’ He would yell out, not angry, at his friend as he held the beast in place and was dodging the bites.
While stuggling with the monster, Core would impale the tail of the beast, which the beast tried to attack him with, on his right horn, making the beast scream angrily and move around with even more strength, though it couldn’t get out of Core’s hold. ‘’ You better give me the okay to kill that thing really quick or at least tranquilize it or I swear if I lose my horn to this beast I’m blowing the whole place down…’’ Core would say in a voice that would show that he was kind of losing his patience.
