[By Semi-Open, I mean have people that would actually make sense come. Chili, who Walker knows, yes. Z-Fighters or BBA peeps like Vi-Poi, yes. Some random bloke who Walker doesn't know and has no earthly way to know about him: Probably best to set up another thread]

It was a day or two after Walker had returned to earth, the Cathedral Gaea re-entering the atmosphere after the failed attempt to destroy Vegeta. He had not identified himself, but by now, news had likely spread that SOMEONE had attempted it among the galactic community. Kaula, Toma, Radasha and Maeve were the only people who would have recognized him, so it was doubtful the attack would be associated with Earth. He was not a well-known figure, after all, and few outside the greater fighters of the planet were aware of his existence. Still...
Rubbing his face, the tree slumped in a chair in the courtyard of the Cathedral, one hand supporting his head. He was not looking forward to this, but he could sense at least one power level approaching. Most likely, it was someone come to tell him off. Possibly more, but he couldn't be bothered to actually search with his Ki senses at the moment. He was in a bit of a funk, to put it mildly. Cracking his neck, the tree straightened up, and folded his hands, looking out at the wide blue sky. Oh well. Whatever would come, would come.

It had been a long time since Cipher had sensed that particular power signature. Ever since the original avalon. He did however remember hearing his voice when he was on Yardrat, and now he was sensing him coming into Earth's Atmosphere. Had he been away on some intergalactic voyage or something of the sort? Well, whatever it was, it was time for Cipher to welcome an old friend back. That was why one would see Cipher's ship, the Pale Rider, approaching Walker's citadel as it came down into the planet's atmosphere. Normally he could fly there himself, but he had decided to bring the family along with him. And flying the ship was just easier than carrying the pair of them. Needless to say, the three were impressed with the massive floating castle. Just how had he managed to create this thing without anyone knowing? Was Cipher off planet when it happened? Then again, with all the things that had been happening, maybe they were just too busy to notice.
"Ok, I think I've found a place to land," Cipher called back to his family as he slowly brought the ship down on a flat portion of the castle. It seems Walker hadn't really built this place with ships coming here in mind. Then again, considering their first meeting involved the tree man mistaking Kaula for a 'neko saiyan' and posting up posters of her in a bikini all over Avalon, he couldn't blame him for decisions like this. He wondered how his old friend was doing.

OOC Whoops, I totally forgot about this being a thing.OOC
Tilting his head, Walker noted the landing ship. Thankfully, it had landed on an open area in the main keep. Rising up, Walker flew down toward the location, scanning the inhabitants. There was a familiar tint to one of them, but something was off... he thought he saw 3 people, but only sensed two. Then, it clicked. Cipher and Porsalynne, of course. He hadn't seen the pair in ages, having been informed they were off planet. Landing nearby, he strode over, waving with one large hand.
"Cipher, Porsalynne! It's been far too long. How are you?" He was mostly suppressed, at an acceptable 80,000 PL. He had been about that when Cipher last saw him, hadn't he? Ah well, it didn't really matter. Perhaps the android hadn't heard about what happened above Vegeta. Still, if anyone would know, he would imagine the BBA did. It was run by ViPoi, after all. Putting that aside, he chuckled and waved to them. A child, too. At least Porsalynne hadn't been too hurt by that... incident.
Turning, he gestured. A pair of walls, black roots around them, folded out to reveal a set of stairs leading upwards. "Come, there's a much nicer place to speak just up this way." As he moved towards the stairs, he focused, the nerves of the living island bringing up chairs and a table to the courtyard at the center of the main keep. It was good to see his friend again, even if the circumstances were awkward. "Tell me, how have you been? I heard you were off planet until recently when I spoke with Vipoi. I apologize for my disappearence, by the way. I was... I suppose dormant is the best term." Remembering the deepness of his trance, broken only by the Holy Water, Walker chuckled. How interesting it was to realize that had only been a few months ago.

Cipher gave a warm smile when he saw Walker. He had changed since the last time they had seen eachother, but he could tell it was the same strange plant bio-android from Avalon. "We've been alright. It's certainly been a long time my friend," he replied with a smile. Porsalynne smiled and gave the tree man a friendly wave. All the while, Charlene was looking up at him curiously. "Oh, that's right," Cipher chuckled, "I forgot, you two haven't met. Walker, this is Charlene, our daughter. Charlene, this is Walker. He's an old friend of mine." "Sup," Charlene replied, waving to Walker. Cipher looked around the floating castle before Walker opened up a path for them to follow. It seemed like this place was an extension of Walker's own self. He was seriously doubting the level of power he was sensing from the bio-android. Odds were he was suppressing his power for their sake. A polite gesture, though overall useless.
As they were seated in the courtyard, Cipher rested on his hands, nodding at Walker's explanations for his absence. "That would explain a lot. I assure you you've slept through quite a lot." Cipher then began to explain all that had occured during his hibernation. The destruction of Avalon, Vi-Poi's time as Realigner Red (including the destruction of Namek, and its restoration), as well as the Saiyan invasion. Finally, he finished up about his failed attempt at stopping the civil war in Arcose. When one says it all, it was kind of amazing Walker was able to effectively 'sleep' through all that.
Once he was finished, Cipher sat back in his seat. "And that's been about it. Quite a hectic time really. Though I've seen you've been busy since you awoke." he said, looking around at the living castle around them, "I couldn't help but notice that you were coming in from orbit. Seems you did a little spacefaring yourself if I'm correct."

Nodding, Walker produced a tea-pot and several cups, pouring out a series of quick drops of tea, filling the cups. Turning about, he placed it on the side-table that sprung up, then turned back. "I have indeed missed quite a bit. Thankfully, that is no longer the case." He was far too busy now to just take another nap like that. Taking a sip of tea, pouring it against his body and allowing it to be instantly soaked up, he heard Cipher talk about his adventures and then mention the space-faring.
"Ah, yes, I see. I did leave planet for a bit. Not too long, however, I have to be sure the planet isn't attacked while it's defenders are absent." He had seen too well what could happen if THAT occurred, and with Bing and Kaula off Planet, there was not a lot of other defenders available. However, that was a dangerous topic. Leaning back, he looked at Cipher. "Well, I have been busy. Grown somewhat stronger, nothing particularly helpful in the current chaos, though." Being around so many titans, he had a warped view of power.
For a moment, he turned off his Ki Suppression, letting the full force of his PL rage for just a second. It spoke volumes of his control that this merely rattled the tea-cups slightly, the force resonating with the island and being ground out so that it did not damage the place. "I imagine you have grown stronger as well. It has been a long time, and it seems that all of my old friends have far surpassed me." He chuckled. "Ah well, it is my own fault, really."

Cipher watched him quietly as he gave him a showing of his full power, causing the area around them to rattle before he brought it down again. Both of them had gotten stronger since their last encounter. However, despite this, both had been overshadowed by those stronger than them. It was a feeling Cipher knew all too well. "Even those of us who have gotten stronger during this time, still find ourselves overshadowed. You're not alone there Walker." He was quiet for a moment before Porsalynne spoke up. "You mentioned that you left the planet for a bit. Well, you know where we had gone. Tell us, what did you get up to amongst the stars?" Now that Cipher thought about it, Walker hadn't really told them what he had been up to. Sure, most of that time was sleeping, but what had he done out in space?

Walker quite carefully didn't react to the direct question, debating how to answer. Unfortunately for him, he was not fully integrated into modern day technology. The BBA, as Earth's current military, often got updates on major situations. Some unknown being attempting to destroy the planet Vegeta was definitely a major situation. As the report said,
"The attacker was unknown, but instruments detected a Power Level in excess of 1.5 Million Units, charging an attack before he was driven off by recently arrived visitors. No source has yet been identified, but this intel has been passed on from the appropriate channels."
Cipher, being the mechanical being he was, would likely receive this report directly. Walker, technically an ally of the BBA, was unaware of this immediately, but a moment later, a beep echoed from one of his pouches. He removed a tablet, large and quite bulky, and examined the update that had been sent. He had acquired it so that he might be more easily contacted, and in this case, it was simple enough to realize this had likely been a BBA-wide broadcast. Looking at it for a moment, he slowly looked up at Cipher.
"Well. That was... impressive timing. You went to end a war, and stop the deaths of those involved, correct?" He replaced the tablet in his pouch, and folded his hands. "Well. So did I. I was just... pushed farther. Bing, possibly dead by now. The earth, damaged.... I decided to end it. Toma and Kaula sided with Vegeta." He wasn't going to try and explain away or excuse anything, here. He had done what he had done, and he would face the consequences of it.

Cipher blinked when there was a beeping coming from Walker, with the bio-android pulling out a tablet of sorts and studying it. It was one similar to ones BBA operatives carried with them for information updates. But why did Walker have one? He hadn't recieved and update at this moment, though he did remember one recently. Someone had apparently tried to destroy Vegeta. And when Walker spoke of what he did, the android's eyes widened. "Walker...you didn't..." Porsalynne glanced over at him, confused. "What is it? What's this about Vegeta?" Cipher's gaze hardened. "It seems that Walker here was the one that had tried to destroy Vegeta." Porsalynne gave a small gasp, looking over at the bio-android with wide eyes. Cipher let out a sigh. "Walker...I can understand why you tried to do what you did, but this is genocide we're talking about. Not just soldiers, but civilians, innocent women and children!" He was having a hard time believing that his friend was even capable of this. But the report was there, and he had practically just admitted it. The pale android shook his head as he looked at him. At least he had failed in his endeavor, so he couldn't be too angry at him. But still, to even consider such a thing...
"Walker, there is another way to end this. I just know it. One that doesn't require the deaths of countless innocents." The problem was, Cipher didn't know just what that solution was.

Walker nodded slowly, then stood up. "If you would excuse me for a moment?" Turning about, he moved out of sight of the table, and around a corner. There was a pause, then, suddenly, a long and agonized scream of frustration as a loud "WHAP. WHAP. WHAP." echoed around the room. It sounded very much like a certain tree was hitting his head into a wall, repeatedly.
After a moment, Walker moved back to his chair, apparently none the worse for wear except for some slight stone dust on his face. Sitting back down, he looked at Cipher rather calmly. "As I have told everyone else who asked... My intent was to destroy Vegeta, deal with the weakened Queen alongside the other fighters of Earth, such as yourself, and then acquire the Dragon Balls." He raised a hand, sounding rather desperate. "Did those not JUST repair a planet? Namek? Would just wishing back all the civilians and children of Vegeta, without the and infrastructure of war REALLY be so bad?"
He sighed. "I KNOW what I did was not a good thing, but it was the one shot to perhaps stall the Saiyan's War Machine, prevent more planets from dying. She's already consumed two, and shows no signs of stopping any time soon. You must have seen the Deathworld Arcose has become."
Sitting back, he looked up, voice defeated. "Now, though, that chance is gone. The Z-Fighters haven't bothered to try and stop what is happening on Namek, and Bing may well be dead now. Earth is slowly being surrounded by an ever-growing field of red, and one day... they'll come for us again. I'm not sure if we can win this time."

Cipher was quiet, allowing Walker to explain his reasoning, his full plan for why he had tried to destroy Vegeta. Once he was finished, Cipher sighed. "Nobody doubts your intentions Walker, we all know you want what's best for the Earth. But one cannot help but admit your plan was poorly thought out." Cipher leaned on his elbows. "Ignoring the mass death and the fact that the SSE has countless occupied planets, there's also the chance you weren't going to be able to gather the dragonballs. Then, if you succeeded, how many of those revived would desire revenge for their lost ones? Saiyans are surprisingly hard headed and would want revenge. Not to mention, since Zucceta was clearly off world when this occurred, her influence would still incite the Saiyans to counter attack. All you really would have accomplished was kill several of their fighters and that's it." The pale android sat back in his chair and sighed. "No, the only ways we can get them to stop is to either convince them to make that choice themselves, or to completely wipe them out. And I've had little luck with the first, and I'm certain neither of us can do the other."
As Walker spoke of his doubts of their survival, Cipher tried to give the bio-android a reassuring smile. "You must have faith Walker. Remember, it wasn't just Bing who drove back the Saiyans. Kaula, Vi-Poi, Reikiko, and countless others all took part in that battle. And there are still plenty of us left. All we can do is prepare for them. And when they do return, we'll be waiting for them. Besides, who says we wont have any more shining stars pop up before then. You've certainly gotten stronger since we last met, and you didn't even take part in the fighting last time."

Walker sighed, looking at Cipher for a moment. "Is that really going to be the case? If Vi-Poi or Kaula had gone with Bing, they likely could have ended Zuccetta together, breaking the back of the Empire and taking back the Tree of Might's seeds. It would have been the end of it." He shifted the tea around in his tea-cup, a bitter tone entering his voice. "Yes, we need people to defend earth, but when the Guardian, the one person who is never supposed to leave it undefended, is the only one who is willing to leave... we have a problem."
Looking up at Cipher, he frowned. "Vi-Poi, I can partially understand. He is campaigning for President, which I can at least respect in the sense of long-term planning, potentially bringing the Earth to a functional state. But, let me ask you something. " He gripped the edge of the tea-cup a bit harder, the wooden handle starting to slowly crack as he stared at it, frustration evident in his voice. "Our strongest fighters.... Reikiko was reduced because she was forced to chose between becoming strong enough to defend earth and the judgement of the same people that allowed the Queen to leave Earth with the Seed of Might, a decision I still cannot comprehend. Their "Mercy" has caused the deaths of MILLIONS since."
Looking up, his eyes started to flare, little plumes of purple energy appearing from cracks in his arms, seeping from between the muscles. "Our Z-Fighters, content to ignore training and sit on earth, or in Toma and Maeve's case, take a GOD DAMN VACATION to VEGETA, of all places! Toma and Kaula's mother is there, an SSE soldier. It's no wonder they're dragging their heels about stopping the queen!"
The tea-cup shattered, tea evaporating in the heat of his flame. Glaring across the table, Walker let his hand fall. "Nobody. Not one single other person was able to go with him. The only reason I did not rush after him is that I was the Caretaker of the Lookout, the only person capable of holding it's magics at the moment should Bing fall. Nobody else. None of the Z-Fighters, the supposed champions of good. Not one of the BBA... Nobody else helped him, and one by one, our defenders are drifting away or becoming suspect in their loyalties."
Turning, he looked out at the sky. "I'm not sure how much longer I can justify trying to rouse the people of Earth to defend themselves, Cipher. They're like a turtle, hiding in their shell, confident they'll be safe as long as they sequester themselves. Then, the SSE will come like a hawk, lifting the shell and letting it fall to dash against the rocks, and there will be one terrible moment of free-fall and regret. Then Darkness, forever."

Cipher remained calm, even during Walker's little outburst. He could easily understand his frustration. Despite all that had happened, despite the fear about a reprisal from the Saiyans after their defeat, a lot of people seemed to be taking it a bit too easy. He sighed as he sat back in his seat, looking upwards. "It is indeed a disturbing turn of events isn't it? I can remember way back when, a certain Saiyan who was in conflict with the BBA. I'm not sure if you heard of him. Daiki was his name." He would then lean forward on the table, resting his chin in his hands. "He would crow on and on about how Vi-Poi was evil and that he would 'destroy the BBA' and that the Z Fighters were the true defenders of the Earth." the android gave a rueful chuckle, "And then, he disappeared. Vanished just before the Realigner Red incident. Though I am somewhat glad for that. I don't think I could stand him going on and on about him 'being right'." He didn't think the super saiyan would have understood the true situation, the man seemed rather hard headed after all. "For all his boasting and crowing, very few of the Z Fighters even took part in the defense against the Saiyans. Sure, some of their stronger members took part. Bing, Etoru, that demoness, what was her name? Maeve? But that's really it. And you're right. It's disturbing that none of them seemed to follow him to Kanassas. I will say in the BBA's defense that we have been busy with our own goals as well. Vi-Poi with the election, myself with attempted diplomacy, and even the organization as a whole recovering from the invasion. We lost many, many men during that battle."
Cipher let out a sigh. "But explanations wont change anything. If Bing is indeed gone, we've lost a very powerful defender of Earth, and the Kami to boot. We can't simply sit back anymore. We can't rely on Vi-Poi to defend us, and until Reikiko has ascended to her perfect form, she wont be of much help either. We need to use this time to make ourselves stronger, so that we can protect this planet. While I do not relish the idea of another war, it's the only option we have."

Settling down slightly, Walker sat back down, listening as Cipher spoke. The name Daiki didn't ring any bells, but perhaps he was just failing to recall the Saiyan. Still, there were plenty of people on Earth he hadn't encountered, and if this being had vanished before the Realigned Red incident... It would make sense if he had never met him. Sighing, Walker slumped forward. There was so much to do, so little time... as he was now, he wouldn't even be a footnote. He needed to find his own next level of power. Still, that was potentially ages away. There must be something he could do to shore up the defenses of the earth. Something....
Looking up at Cipher, he was a bit surprised by how long it had been. His friend looked different. He had evolved, moved on, clearly. Meanwhile, Walker had stagnated. He needed to cut away his own rot, emerge anew... A thought crossed his mind, then. Cernunnos, the demon whose power had given him the spark of life. Perhaps... perhaps an answer lay there. He hadn't heard from him in quite a long time, but it occurred to the tree that if anyone might hold the secret to unlocking his final evolution, it would be him.
Still, that would require him going to hell, and unless he made a suicide attack on the Saiyan Queen, there didn't seem to be any benefit to trying that. What would it accomplish, besides wasting his power and likely irritating her. Unless he got incredibly lucky, that option was out the window.
"Perhaps you are right. I do need to see Rei again, after all. I haven't seen her in quite a while, and I am worried about what has happened to her. With so many warriors unreliable, her perfect form may be the only hope we have." Standing up once more, he bowed to Cipher. "I apologize that it has been so long since we last spoke. Hopefully we will be able to meet again more regularly, now that you have returned from your travels."
(Think I might end this. Literally everything else Walker would talk to Cipher about happened after this thread started. Hell, I've gone up nearly 65K PL since this. )
