The sweet tweeting of birds echoed into the Fukurou Forest, reaching a certain hybrid's ears. Several twigs snapped under a man's foot, scaring away the jittery animals of the natural land. A soft swishing sounds was audible from a spiritual woman's flight, softly permeating throughout the dark greenery. Phae Waterfield and her husband Celmaru Waterfield stepped through the forest, with the woman anxious with suspense. Celmaru had promised a certain surprise for her, and she was ecstatic to hear it. They both had only recently descended into the forest, and the hybrid had forbid flying above the trees. The leaves and branches the trees held had sealed away the sunlight above, only allowing tiny slits of light to pass through its barrier of green. The ground was an odd mix of mud and dry soil, and Celmaru's Ki was suppressed to ensure the safety of the environment around him.

"Celmaru, please tell me what you've brought me here for! I'm anxious from waiting!"
"Calm down Phae, you'll see it in time."
"Oh~....please, let it be soon!"
"You are rather anxious, aren't you?"
"Its a very special occurrence, it tells me that you care enough to prepare something like this..."
"Er....yeah...I guess it does..."
The hybrid blushed softly at the continued shifting through the landscape; he was still unused to being affectionate to anyone, even his parents. Celmaru made sure that they weren't being followed or that anyone they knew was nearby. The Ki signatures of every living being around him were sensed by the hybrid, each giving off its own sort of feeling. Two signatures felt off, however, and seemed shady. They followed several yards away from the couple, and concerned Celmaru greatly. His senses were kept upon them as they weaved between the trees and branches around them. The sounds of rushing water and settling waves became audible as they moved about, and a potential answer to Phae's prayers was provided. The two passed through the nature and into a giant clearing; where a massive waterfall rested.
"Wow~!"
The waterfall roared from the liquid it dispensed, its substance frothing where it met the end of its journey. Natural elements from all around filled the clearing with green, and shot out at the water, dipping its leaves into the clear blue water. Phae's expression was enough for Celmaru to know that he chose the right place for the to rest. Her face was plastered with excitement and wonder, almost like that of a small child's. If the seaweed woman had a tail, it would be wagging like a canine's.
"I found this place a few years ago when I was training....it seemed like a nice place to take you."
"This place is beautiful!"
"I would agree....sadly its within a massive forest that many could get lost in..."
"I don't mind at all! The view here is amazing, and it seems so serene here..."
"I've never seen one person here. Which is honestly surprising....one would think that many from all around this planet would come to see this."
"Then this place wouldn't be special then..."
"Hm?"
Phae turned towards her husband, an affectionate look in her dark green eyes.
"This place wouldn't be special to us if everyone came to see it."
"A-Ah.....well, er....I guess it wouldn't, would it?"
Phae embraced her husband, affectionately nuzzling her head against his chest. A short pause in the hybrid's heartbeat passed, and his love for Phae grew within that small moment. His wife looked up at her husband, softly stroking his cheek before making contact with it via her tiny lips. A fierce blush formed on Celmaru's cheeks, his embarrassment returning once more. The hybrid felt that it was finally time to return Phae's constant kindness, and leaned into towards his wife's forehead. Making brief contact with it with his own pecker, Phae reacted strangely bashful about it.
"Eh? Wha-?.....You...you..."
"It was about time I returned your kindness, wasn't it?"
"...Celmaru~!"
Phae embraced her husband tightly, squeezing him gently. Celmaru smiled at her affectionate gesture, glad that what he's done was executed successfully. Celmaru poked at his wife, attempting to obtain her attention. She looked up at her husband once more, receiving his message requiring her attention.
"What is it?"
The hybrid's expression was suddenly grim, and subtle rustling was heard within the trees.
"Stay behind me. I don't want you to get hurt."
"Ah....o-okay."
Phae stood in place behind her husband as he turned around, facing the depths of the forest. The two shady Ki signatures were nearby and they were both quivering; their Ki was shaking. Out of nowhere, two stars shot out at them, arcing in a near-boomerang-esqe pattern. Celmaru caught one successfully, but the other slipped past his fingers, slicing Phae arm as it swept around them both.
"As soon as I'm truly concerned for her safety...." the hybrid muttered.
"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Celmaru called out into the forest, with no answer to reply. Huffing, the hybrid shrugged, knowing that their attackers would regret what they'd meet next. Quietly raising his arms upwards, keeping them straight, Celmaru lifted them above his head. Leaving his hands limp, they stiffened out, clenching together as Celmaru brought his arms down to his sides, bending at the elbow. As he did so, his aura flared to life around him, the hybrid's power increasing fourfold.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The leaves upon the trees shuddered with the sudden power surge, blasting away any stray elements of nature around them. Closing his eyes, Celmaru traced the Ki signatures of the hidden opponents, forming Ki blasts within his hands as he did so. Opening his eyes suddenly, Celmaru let loose a massive barrage of concentrated energy, sending hundreds of Ki blasts into the forest, nearly a full thousand. Their natural light was an odd sight within this section of the forest, the odd light piercing through the darkness. None of the blasts moved as being shot into the darkness, floating in midair. The hybrid's face remained grim as he uttered several words, his hands raised in the air as if to hold his blasts in the air.
"Incomplete blast attack number two....the Infinite Kaiser Explosion."
Celmaru grasped at thin air, or so it seemed. The Ki signatures immediately tried to escape, but his unfinished technique was still able to home in on them, encasing them with a shell of Ki blasts. Two humongous explosions erupted from the forest, leaves and wildlife flying everywhere. A ring of dust burst out of the trees' embraced, whipping at Celmaru and Phae's ankles. As the brief scuffle settled down, the hybrid locked away his potential once more, returning to his normal form.

A small whimpering noise emitted from Phae's lips, causing Celmaru to spin around immediately. His concern was overwhelming to him, and even a small scratch on Phae was terrible in his eyes.
"Gah! Are you alright? Is it bleeding too much?"
Phae kept her hand over her arm, hiding the tiny wound. Reluctantly, she removed her hand, which was already plastered with her blood. The cut was more like a gash as it slowly bled. Celmaru's concern only grew stronger as he was left unable to do anything, as he had little medical knowledge.
"Ahhh! Where is Ayumu when you need him!?"
"I can heal myself, Celmaru, please don't fret so much because of me..."
"Don't worry about me worrying! I don't want you to have unpleasant memories of this place!"
Phae's eyes went wide as her husband spoke, surprised by his straightforward concern. Closing her eyes, she simply nodded, allowing Celmaru to obtain something to act as gauze.
"Ah, wait! Can't you take pieces of your kelp to be used as gauze?"
"Yes, I can. It may not be very effective..."
"Please, make some seaweed gauze now, I don't want you to get infected with something."
Several green gauze strips later and an awkward amount of contact, Phae's arm was safely bandaged. A sigh escaped the hybrid's lips, thankful that his pitiful amount of medical knowledge was still relatively useful. Slumping up against the same tree as Phae was, Celmaru began to relax.
"Thank you, Celmaru."
"....You're welcome, Phae..."
"I love your surprise, as well."
"I hope you do..."
"I love you, too."
Phae was suddenly in the hybrid's ear, whispering into it at her last remark. Celmaru nearly jumped up in surprise, but simply became flustered. An uncomfortable look permeated across his face, and stammered the simple words into Phae's ear.
"....I.......ve.....y...."
The seaweed woman embraced her husband once more, affectionately nestling her head against his. Guiding his arm to her head, Celmaru softly patted his wife's head, returning the gesture in a slightly different way. They both sat in affectionate silence before slowly drifting into sleep, with the deafening crashes of the waterfall lulling them into a light sleep in each others' arms.
