How long had it been since she felt this comfortable, this free from all worries and concerns that usually plagued her mind? For months now Reikiko had always been haunted by the potential opinions of others, the pressure of wanting to be accepted as one of the heroes of Earth having left such a burden upon her shoulders. However, after the recent conversation with Hikari inside the Bamboo Forest those days were finally gone. She could care any less about what the world thought about her, as long as those dear to her knew the truth and accepted it. Perhaps it was the reason why for the first time since the battle with Realligner Red that she had chosen to not adopt any disguise during her trip to the Southern Islands.
Perhaps it was for that reason some of the settlements upon the islands were in a bit of a restless state right now. Not only had the Crane Hermit been missing for a long time, to the point her student had now taken over the role, but there was something unsettling within their heart as they saw that silver-colored aura soar by, like a fast moving comet. It wasn't simply the fact that the Crane Hermit had now regained her original appearance, the petite figure that at its base represented a human girl might at first been considered cute, in the end it was no use denying that her facial features had a certain adorable innocence to it that was borderline unnatural for her species, but the moment one took a more detailed look at her they would undeniably feel the chill of her predator instinct. The white-colored carapace that covered most of her body like an armor gave her a bit of an insect-like appearance, accompanied by the wings perhaps even that of a beetle, a thought intensified by the crown-like piece upon her head. Nevertheless, the thing that that would likely cause one to feel a real thought of concern must had been the fact that she had an additional appendage in the form of a tail. It was the true symbol of her existence as a predator, her extendable tail that held that deathly stinger upon its tip.
There was no ignoring that this was no longer the person Earth had known as the gentle Crane Hermit. This was Reikiko, the Chimera of the Blue Banner Army, the one who had been part of the reason the West Capitol had been so horribly devastated in the past. She had been aware of the restlessness on the islands beneath her, and yet it only made Reikiko smirk briefly while she flew past them, her wings buzzing loudly as she made her way toward her destination. Some might had thought it was weird for Reikiko to leave her sanctuary within the Bamboo Forest, but for the bio-android there was something that had been plaguing her mind recently. Kaula had left Earth, of that much she was certain, in the end there was no way she wouldn't be able to track down that delicious scent, but according to Hikari there was still the signal of her ship upon one of the islands, so like a certain Earthling saying goes: Curiosity makes the Bio-android thirsty.
Hikari had been nearby, more or less because she had some business to attend to on a nearby island, but for the time being Reikiko was on her own while she descended toward the grassy field on the island beneath her. Her aura quickly started to shrink back, till it finally disappeared within her body, and with a hint of curiosity the child-like creature gaze around the field she had landed in. If she recalled right Kaula liked to keep her ship upon this island, and Hikari did pick up the signal around here. However, she couldn't help but wonder why Kaula had preferred to have a place of her own. She had, on multiple occasions offered the hybrid to move in with her, but for some reason Kaula did seem to prefer this type of place.
"Wonder why... Is it because she likes to invite those that catch her interest?"
The bio-android pondered loudly about it, and honestly couldn't help but become a bit frustrating. She understood Kaula's polygamous mindset, but why in the world couldn't she at least take her time to properly introduce those girls to her? It would have made her feel a lot better, not to mention more accepting of the concept when she didn't always have to learn about the matter after the deed was done.
"I swear when she gets back my tail is going to have a fieldtrip with her"
Mumbling in a bit of a grumpy tone Reikiko finally spotted the familiar pathway that led into the secluded area where Kaula's ship had been stationed at. While on one hand she had found the ship just like she had expected, there was a certain 'unexpected' side to the discovery, in the fact there was a young woman sitting before the door. A burglar? Nah, only an idiot would try to do that to Kaula of all people, what likely meant this was a 'guest' of Kaula. Sighing loudly to announce her presence the bio-android walked up toward the ship, and the stranger and while her tail was swaying back and forth behind her, declared in a bemused tone.
"Let me guess: One of Kaula's 'friends who certainly did more things than friends would do' who got left behind by her when in a rush of excitement she went off somewhere, forgetting to take along her friends... or wife for that matter."
Reikiko grumbled in annoyance, shaking her head briefly before she tilted her head to the side, a clear hint of curiosity in her eyes.
"Don't take it personally, she already did it twice to me. So, do you have a name? Mine is Rei, Reikiko. Crane Sennin--- Or rather I guess I'm the former Crane Hermit now that Kaula inherited the role."

It had been a few hours since Letu had arrived back on the Island where she was currently living with Kaula. She had needed to retrieve her clothing, a few personal effects, and generally all of her things. When she had left, the ship had been unlocked. But, that had been at the crack of dawn. She knew her mother wouldn't be in the house that early. So she had gone back to get her things. When she had come back, the ship had been locked. There had even been a note from Kaula left on the door.
"Gotta go to Vegeta. Left my big ship. If I'm not back in a bit, come here and find my mom, she probably knows what happened."
That had been around four hours ago. Without a Key, Letu was homeless. Not only that, but she couldn't follow Kaula. Granted, she didn't know where Vegeta was to begin with. She felt the powerful presence flying overhead of course. But, by now, she had gotten so used to strong presences that it barely registered. She was too wrapped up in her own depression. S..she just left..without me..locked the ship even.. She said as she sulked, leaning back with the back of her head pressed against the cool metal of the door. At least, that was until she heard the huff and suddenly felt the presence much closer to herself. She admittedly jumped, the scabbard of Jigoku-Ko making a strange scratching sound up the door to the ship as she leveled her glance at a small, but powerful girl...with a pointed tail. Well. This was certainly something she had never seen before. The white armor did become equated to a beetle in Letu's mind. She opened her mouth to reply, but stopped short, her demeanor definitely worsening as she heard that word.
"Let me guess: One of Kaula's 'friends who certainly did more things than friends would do' who got left behind by her when in a rush of excitement she went off somewhere, forgetting to take along her friends... or wife."
Wife. Wife. Of course. It had been too much to hope that she was Kaula's first, as she had been for the Saiyan-Demon. But this..this was too much. She looked down as she started tearing up at the new knowledge. Not only had she kissed Kaula, who she now knew to be a married woman, but..they had done adult things. So what was she? A fling? A distraction? Yeah..that sounded about right.
I...I'm sorry.. She said softly, repeating it several times as she began to hug her knees close to her chest. She didn't see the curiosity. And the amused tone that was being leveled at her sounded dangerous to the very weak Saiyan-Demon. My name..? Does it matter..? I'm nobody important..y..your her wife..I..I'm just a distraction.. She said, tearing up as she looked down at her own feet, deeply ashamed of herself, and how she was taking advantage of Kaula's hospitality like this. She thought herself a homewrecker now. And now it all made sense. Why Kaula had originally tensed up over the kiss. Why she had said Rei's name..and she had just so bluntly forced herself between them. No wonder the door was locked..she probably didn't want her to actually come back, and was using going to Vegeta as an excuse to get out of a sticky situation...

There was a first time for everything, or at least it was the first time she actually heard someone apologize to her. It was a bit of a surprise for Reikiko, perhaps because until now each reaction she received on the matter had been entirely the opposite. Whether it was Xi, Tariph or even Kaula herself, it seemed they considered this type of polygamous behavior quite natural, and if Reikiko had to be honest, the fact she never knew until way later truly annoyed her a great deal. Perhaps it was for that reason she tilted her head to the side in confusion, seemingly a bit bewildered by the apologetic behavior of the girl. When the girl considered her identity to be lacking of any value, considering herself a nobody Reikiko groaned with a hint of annoyance as she stepped forwards, her stride clearly showing confidence, and when the last words escaped the girl's lips Reikiko finally bend forwards, easily reaching the stranger's height due to the natural difference in their size.
"To call yourself nobody important, means Kaula has been sleeping with a stranger."
As the words left her lips Reikiko's hand reached forwards, seemingly attempting to carefully place one of her fingers beneath the girl's chin. She was clearly attempting to force eye-contact, the azure-colored irises of the Bio-android gazing at the girl before her while she finished her comment.
"And I'm not fond of the idea of sharing with a stranger. So how about you be a dear and tell me your name?"
She waited for a moment, seemingly hoping to at least get the name she had asked for, when finally she stepped a little backwards, arms folding up beneath her chest as she smiled weakly at her.
"If you're a distraction, then I wonder what I am after experiencing this the third time. I swear Saiyajin really got no clue when it comes to romantic relationships. You'd imagine third time's the charm, but once more I learn someone got pounced by Kaula. And here I thought 'I' was the predator who does the nomming."
Humming the last bit with a hint of amusement Reikiko finally allowed her smile to fade away, stretching her arms into the air, her hands seemingly opening and closing as if she was reaching for something, or someone while she mused her thoughts aloud.
"Then again, perhaps this time I'm to blame. When I disappeared I was hoping it would be Kaula to track me down and save me from the thoughts that plagued me, but it seemed no matter how long I waited, she clearly is oblivious to certain things."
While lowering her arms back to her side she turned her gaze toward the girl, hoping that at least she was no longer looking like a wreckage that was going to commit sepuku any moment now.
"Don't be blaming yourself now, Kaula is a free-spirited lass like that, part of why I got charmed by her I guess. Nevertheless, I'd wish she at least learned to reign in her polygamous nature a bit. I don't mind the concept of 'sharing is caring' especially when the ones being shared with are cute-looking girls like yourself, but there is a limit to my tolerance to learn that the bed I have been sleeping in so often has been shared by people I haven't even heard about before."
Yep, she was just a little bit peeved, likely something that was noticeable because her tail was swishing around behind her a bit more violently, and her eyes had been narrowed just a little bit.
"So... I guess Kaula is gone for the time being, so scolding her will have to wait for a bit. But what to do about you... In the movies this is usually where we fight to the death while roaring vocal provocations at each other as if we were possessed by a rush of testosterone, but I'd rather go for a more healthy alternative. One that involves a less violent conclusion."
The bio-android stepped a bit closer, seemingly leaning over to the girl again and did one of the things one was likely not going to be expect... she sniffed the girl's scent!
"Hmm, I knew your scent was a bit familiar to Kaula's, albeit you don't look like a regular Saiyajin to me, well unless you got a tail hiding in your pants, but it's a delicious scent. I guess I could understand why you got pounced~ Or maybe I just got a thing for those of mixed heritages..."
Tilting her head lightly to the side as she thought about the matter, Reikiko did have to admit it was very likely that was the case. In the end both Hikari and Kaula were hybrids after all!
"Guess we should start by getting to know one-another, and don't think about escape through death, I'm demanding a 'full' compensation for the things I missed. Well, I guess that means at the very least a kiss, but it be a bit awkward to kiss me in this form, since people might accuse you for being a pervert and send you to jail after forcing you to wear the costume of a bear."
Snickering briefly at the last bit she closed an eye, as if making a playful wink while adding onto the comment.
"Finally cheered up a bit? I can't deal with depressive people that well, since that role is usually set aside for myself."
True enough, it was usually she who would find herself submerged in despair and depressive thoughts, and then it were always others who would lift her out of those feelings. To have someone else seemingly require such an aid was a bit of an awkward experience for Reikiko, but not entirely unpleasant. After all, she was rather fond of being a cheerful and carefree little bio-android, even if it was incredibly difficult for her to be truly carefree with her circumstances. Nevertheless, now she had to wait and see where this would go.

"To call yourself nobody important, means Kaula has been sleeping with a stranger."
As Reikiko said that, Letu seemed to curl more tightly into herself, not feeling the finger on her chin until it was too late, and her pale blue eyes met the younger girl's azure ones. However, she was definitely not expecting what she heard after she looked into them.
"And I'm not fond of the idea of sharing with a stranger. So how about you be a dear and tell me your name?"
Letu couldn't help but blush at that, feeling her mouth open and her lips part before she could stop herself. L..Letu Revele... She said quietly before her blush got more intense upon being sniffed. Of course, that was more from the words that she followed it up with, causing Letu to press herself back more firmly against the door of the ship, yelping lightly as she fell backwards, the door actually not being locked at all. Of course, she heard everything that Reikiko had said while she fell, and she slowly sat up with a heavy blush on her face as she nodded softly, shaking her head out to clear her thoughts, her red hair catching the light in a way that made it seem like she was shaking out locks of flame. In her head, she was very composed. She understood what Reikiko was saying about Kaula. This was to be expected of someone as free-spirited as her, she just got too excited around women that she thought looked pretty. Of course, her thoughts ran something like:
I..I mean..why are you so calm about all of this? I..did things with your wife! Why are you taking that so well? You should be screaming at me, threatening me, or at least want to hit me! That was what she wanted to say. Of course, with how confused she was over everything, all she was able to say was:
I..wha...huh..?
Smooth. Real Smooth.

"Pleased to meet you Letu."
It was only a short response she had given in return to the girl's reaction to her earlier words, and it wasn't that difficult to understand her confusion. Of course most people would be angered if their spouse had committed such acts, in the end some might have considered such polygamous attitude treason, to betray the very relationship they had established. For Reikiko however there was no such agitated reaction, at least not on the surface.
"Sometimes being able to keep yourself calm and react to events with a more calculating mindset is one of the key assets a being like myself should possess. Nevertheless, don't be judging a book by its cover Letu. I am quite angry and agitated, but not for the reasons you are thinking."
The child smiled briefly, seemingly turning around to take a few steps away from Letu. Unlike before her way of walking had lost that confident stride, instead the way she had pulled her hands behind her back, and the playful pacing of her steps clearly made it look more like one of those carefree and innocent movements a child might have made.
"In the past I would have likely screamed at you, tortured you and then killed you for what you did. But what good would that have done? It wouldn't have changed Kaula's nature. In the end conflicts born out of a situation like this usually belong in the movies. Sure they might be emotional to watch, but they hold little purpose because in the end there is little such a confrontation would change."
She sighed, her back still facing the girl, and yet the words that followed were somewhat different, as if the tone they were carried was shaking just a bit.
"The fact that she accepted your advances simply reconfirms that I by myself am not good enough for her. I guess it's because our concepts of romantic love and a relationship born out of it are fundamentally different. I don't know if it's something that will ever change within Kaula, or if it's even possible of being changed. Then again, perhaps my concepts of romance and love are simply too naive and idealistic."
A short pause happened as Reikiko had gone silent, thinking back about the recent events. When she had left all her stuff and started her plan to remove herself from existence she had hoped it would be Kaula that would be searching for her. For Kaula to comfort her and erase those haunting thoughts from her mind. For Kaula to have been the one to tell her to live at her side, to ignore what others thought and simply live for the things that truly mattered. But it didn't happen, and now that she was here talking to Letu, the bio-android couldn't help but wonder where Kaula's priorities were.
"I would have searched the galaxy for her if I knew she was troubled by something or someone. Would have done everything within my abilities to make her happy, and would have faced anything that threatened her. So do you think I'm angry at you? Perhaps. Perhaps I'm angry at you, disappointed in Kaula and agitated at the fact that if anything, I was the long-term distraction. But that's just the gloomy side of me speaking. If I was to be entirely honest the only thing I would have desired was to know what my relationship with Kaula truly means."
She thought it was something unique, something special that was different from the type of emotions that Kaula felt toward others. But it took only a short glimpse at Letu to realize that wasn't the case. That sorrow and depression was clearly the result of a genuine heartbreak. The fact that someone had felt such pure feelings of love toward Kaula was something that both made her happy, but also was akin to being slapped in the face. Letu clearly loved Kaula in the same way she did, and for Reikiko those feelings were much more painful to acknowledge than if it had been just a simple one-time event.
"The fact the door is unlocked makes me assume it was a message for you Letu. I'm quite certain that the navigation systems will be pre-programmed to make you reach Kaula's destination. A roundabout way of saying 'Please follow after me'. Perhaps..."
Reikiko paused for a moment, and depending on Letu's focus she might had seen that the small body of the bio-android tensed up a little.
"Perhaps you'll be able to accomplish that what I'm failing at. Either way, I have teased you enough as payback for your actions. You should go ahead and find Kaula."
It might had been Reikiko's own roundabout way of showing that she had given up. The first time she had been upset, the second time heartbroken, but the third time was her limit. The fact that she didn't suggest for herself to accompany Letu should have been enough of a signal to show the bio-android's intentions. Was this the right choice? That was a difficult question to answer. In the end, was there truly ever a 'good' choice when it came to love? Love was such a complicated feeling that lacked the logical and rational way of thinking, the elements that made it easy for Reikiko to comprehend certain things. Yes, love was a confusing emotion, and today it had also been an incredibly painful one. To think she had come here with the intention to find Kaula's whereabouts in the hope of tracking her down, but instead she discovered that the hybrid had allowed herself to succumb to the temptations of desire, and found herself a new lover. How could Reikiko not feel like she had been replaced?
Perhaps that was the right term. Perhaps that was how Reikiko truly felt right now. Like a discarded toy that got replaced by a more shiny new one. And to think she could still turn around and smile at Letu, a smile that truly took all effort, for she had to literally use all of her strength to not let her eyes tear up. If only she could wait long enough till she was alone, then she could allow her grief to emerge....

If she hadn't felt like scum before, she certainly felt like that now. She couldn't help but feel the bitter sting of her own warm tears as she listened to the impact her own callous actions had on someone who had done nothing wrong. She loved Kaula, yes. There was no two ways about it at this point. She didn't want to admit it, but why else would she be so depressed about being left behind. However, as Reikiko finished speaking, Letu rose to her feet, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves for what she was about to say as she clenched her fist.
S..Stop it. She said quietly at first, before repeating herself more firmly. You've said it yourself. Kaula is a free spirited girl. So, shouldn't the fact that she would call you her wife speak volumes of her love for you? If anyone is to blame for her not looking for you, it isn't you. It would be me. She took me on as her pupil. And just as you were flirting with me mere moments ago, she flirted. Almost immediately after asking herself where you were. I don't think she knew I was there when she said it, but she did. I couldn't handle her casual flirting. If I had known who you were..what kind of relationship you two had..I would never have pushed as I did..so, if anyone here deserves to follow her to Vegeta, it would be you. All I am is a homewrecker..people like me deserve to be lonely... She said, walking down and out of the ship, looking straight at the Bio-Android with tears in her eyes. It hurt her more than anything to say what she had. She didn't want to be alone again, but she also didn't want to hurt anyone else. But that was precisely what she had done. You found her first..you earned her heart. Fight for her. Show her you still care... She said as she knelt down, her voice wavering as she gripped the handles of the suitcases she had brought with her, walking in the direction of the path, refusing to look at Reikiko now. She couldn't cry any more. She would wait until she was in the air. She would mourn her loss then, maybe move back in with her mom..stop trying to be a warrior. She didn't have the heart to continue, and probably wouldn't have the heart to do much more if Reikiko actually boarded the ship and left. Especially since she would be taking Letu's family sword with her. But, in the heat of the moment, she had forgotten about her precious Heirloom.

They were going around in circles, that much was certain. Reikiko's attempt to leave Kaula in Letu's care had clearly backfired, and to make matters even worse cause the girl to feel even worse than before. Indeed, the rather ironic return that Letu gave, seemingly believing Reikiko still had the right to pursue Kaula had caused the bio-android to sigh softly. This conversation really was going to go nowhere at this rate, and it seemed Letu might had been an even more complicated individual to deal with than anyone she had met before.
It would have been a sudden action, but even at her current state she was rather confident in her speed. Indeed, the moment Letu would have tried to walk past Rei and depart further down the path the bio-android's tail swished through the air. However, it wasn't an attempt to pierce the girl's back, or anything brutal like that. Instead it had been a low swing, and with the nimbleness of a serpent her tail tried to coil around Letu's leg, all in the hope that she could, in a rather comedic fashion cause the girl to trip forwards and be pulled upside down into the air. Despite her small format Reikiko really felt blessed to have an extendable tail at times.
Whether her grapple attempt had succeeded or not, the bio-android shook her head lightly in response.
"You seem to be misunderstanding my intentions Letu. The way things are right now, I would simply cause the past events to repeat themselves. As much as I love Kaula, I simply don't have the strength to keep handling this type of feeling. How often have I become jealous at the knowledge she has such relationships with others? How often did I consider the idea of killing anyone who got too close to her? Too often such dark thoughts plagued my mind... The only way to prevent such suffering from repeating itself, is by making Kaula realize the consequences of her actions."
The bio-android's eyes focused onto Letu's own, seemingly pausing for a moment when suddenly she raised one of her hands, and in a rather innocent gesture attempted to rest a hand on Letu's chest, right where her heart should be.
"It hurts doesn't it? The knowledge that someone else has received the affection of someone you love and adore. It's frustrating when that person is someone you didn't even know. While our bodies might be different, this pain is one we share."
Reikiko finally smiled calmly, and if she had succeeded in capturing Letu with her tail, would have finally lowered her onto the ground, releasing her from its grip as she continued.
"This pain, is one that Kaula indirectly caused, a pain that she is unaware of. When I mentioned earlier that I wouldn't mind sharing this love, I would never be willing to share it with a stranger, but with a close friend that would be another story. In the end those 'harem' groups I seen in some shows do leave me rather intrigued... Nevertheless, it does bring me back to my earlier point."
She finally extended a hand toward Letu, and for the first time since their conversation she seemed to have a genuine warm smile on her lips.
"Join forces with me Letu. Let us confront Kaula about the consequences her actions are causing. In the end if I pursue her alone it will just cause events to repeat themselves. However, if the two of us work together, come to reach a mutual understanding and agreement, then perhaps we can finally stop feeling a pain like this and reach a happy ending for each of us."
Such a complicated girl this Letu was... She hoped that if she herself had distanced herself from Kaula after encouraging Letu to pursue Kaula, that the hybrid would possibly learn about the effect her flirting was causing. However, that idea had clearly backfired as a result of the girl's emotional state, and now she had to make such a risky gamble.
"Besides, nobody deserves to be lonely. If that was the case then a creature like myself should have never been allowed to become exposed to companionship or love, especially not after all the things I did."
Was this a way to solve things? Would this allow her to finally put those worrisome thoughts of her at ease. Whether her hand had been accepted or not, Reikiko's gaze drifted away for a moment, seemingly musing out loud.
"Hmm, this isn't the Millennium Hawk... I wonder where it might be, if I could get Alice to track down Kaula's signal then it would have been a lot easier to pinpoint her destination. Still, perhaps this is for the best Letu. In the end I'm not a heartless fiend who wants to see a cute girl heartbroken because my wife has been a bit too enthusiastic with her new pupil... Wait, pupil?"
So the rumors were true, Kaula did start to teach people in the way of the Crane. The thought was both amusing, but also a bittersweet in a way.
"I guess a lot happened in my absence... Either way, perhaps I should tell you a bit more about myself? If we are going to work together, it's best that I get to know you more also. Don't you agree, Aibou?"
Jokingly using the term partner, as if they had become a tag-team of some sorts Reikiko turned toward Letu, clearly awaiting a response. This was it, the last compromise that Reikiko was willing to make. If this idea was going to fail, then Reikiko would truly be without any thoughts on how to solve the matter. In the end it was clear that this situation couldn't go on any longer. It wasn't just about her getting hurt anymore, there were other people, people like Letu who were sharing her pain, and while she didn't knew about Letu, Reikiko wasn't the type of person who would continue to silently endure this agony forever.

Though she didn't think so of herself, Letu was fairly fast. Of course, she was nowhere near fast enough to do anything about the tail that whipped out at her. Though she kept moving forward, all she could do was clench her teeth and shut her eyes tightly as she waited for the spike at the end of her tail to burst through her chest. It was what she deserved. However, what she didn't expect was to be lifted into the air, flinching lightly when she felt the hand on her chest, the words she spoke taking a moment to reach Letu's ears. What was said though didn't fully register in her mind until Reikiko finished speaking. She wanted her to go with her..leave Earth..the thought terrified her. She knew of other planets, that they existed. She even knew that there was a realm where demons existed.
Of course, knowing, and being brave enough to go out and see those things were different matters entirely. From what she had seen in her short time of travelling, she was very much a weak person, unable to protect herself. She had to rely on others. She hated it. She didn't want to constantly hide behind the insanely strong members of her circle of friends. She wanted to be capable of protecting not only herself, but the people important to her. Though, it seemed that she had no choice now. She sighed softly and took the offered hand, pushing up from the ground with her free hand to rise to her regular height, leaving the child like girl at eye level with her stomach. I mean..there isn't much more to know about me than what you see and what you can sense..I'm not very strong. I'm not fast, I'm not tough..I don't know what my strength is. The only interesting thing that I have are these horns, but even now, those are starting to seem less and less interesting. The most interesting thing I can say about myself is that Kaula is teaching me whatever she was taught. not that I'm any good at it.. She left out, giving the other girl a weak smile. She was very critical of herself, and her constant losses, her constant encounters with extremely strong people..they weren't helping her gain any confidence. They were doing the exact opposite rather, and taking away from it.
Of course, she would never say anything. But, she wouldn't need to. It wouldn't take very long to put the pieces together between the power of everyone she knew and was friendly with, and herself. It would likely be hard for any of her friends to imagine how she felt, how much she struggled. It was very sad, and very disheartening for the young girl. Of course, in terms of creativity, she excelled. She found ways to utilize the unstable nature of her mixed energies. Even now, she had made an experimental twist on her most powerful attack. Regardless, it was not a good feeling. That was why, when her own weakness was casually thrown in her face by the pressure she felt coming from what seemed to be a young girl, she could only respond through tears and weak smiles. Her current situation with Kaula running off did have something to do with it of course, but it also served to remind her that she had no place being around the people she had found herself involved with. Still, she gestured to the ship. Regardless though..I suppose we should at least get the ship started, huh? If we're going to go after her, might as well take the vehicle in front of us..right..?

When Letu spoke a bit more about herself, it was the overflowing negativity and berating of herself that had easily caught Reikiko's attention. It was a feeling that the bio-android had once known herself. The bitter feeling of being too weak to accomplish the things one desired, to obtain the power to protect the things dear to oneself. Yet for her it was a feeling of the past, a simple memory. Not because she had obtained the power she had once desired, but because she had learned a certain important aspect of the thing people considered 'power'.
"I understand your way of thinking Letu, it's one that I once shared myself. However, the power of oneself is never absolute. Certainly, it's the most influential aspect of power, but it's far from the only thing that decides whether a person is truly powerful or not."
The bio-android paused for a moment, and amusingly enough there was quite some peculiar timing in what she wanted to say. Reikiko grinned sheepishly, gesturing with a hand toward Letu to follow her, and only a few steps away from the clearing the ship had been at, the child came to a halt to point at something. It was within a nearby tree, upon one of its high branches a bird was resting inside a nest, likely exhausted or injured while another bird had been feeding it some worms. A third bird, seemingly a bit smaller than the other two was perched on the highest branch of he tree, seemingly on the lookout.
"Every individual, no matter how powerful they might become has their own limits. It is exactly because of that reason that a second element is born that is associated with 'personal power'. It is the thing people call 'Influence', albeit you might have an easier time associating it with relationships."
The birds that were working together to ensure their injured companion could recover, perhaps it was a show of this influence Reikiko spoke of, the power of relationships. She turned back toward Letu, and continued her explanation, somewhat being reminded that she awkwardly sounded a lot like her late master.
"It's like each encounter with someone allows you to weave a web of invisible threads, a network of connections that depending on how strong your web becomes, would allow you to call forth those people in your time of need. Take myself as an example. Despite the modest strength of my energy, it is but a humble amount compared to my true power. However, despite being considerably weak on terms of personal power, I have forged connections that might make me one of the most influential beings upon this planet."
There was no denying that, in the end her friendship with Vipoi had made her on very close terms with the leader of the Blue Banner Army, her identity as the daughter of Scargot had been what allowed her to meet Bing, Walker and Zexama. Her relationship with Kaula had provided her with a powerful companion, and there was of course also Hikari. To Reikiko the power of connections was just as strong as a person's individual strength.
"Power, Influence, Wits. The final aspect of what makes a person strong is likely the cleverness they possess. Someone who can outplay an enemy before even an attack is launched, would likely be even more powerful than someone who has a lot of individual power. One could say the queen of the Saiyajin outwitted her opponents when she invaded Arcose and planted that cursed tree. None likely expected how far she would be willing to go for whatever she desired to obtain from her warfare. Even if she wasn't the strongest being in existence, she likely outplayed everyone on that day."
It was a bit before Letu voiced her idea of getting the ship started, an idea that while tempting was one Reikiko was wary of. The bio-android shook her head gently, a calm smile lingering upon her lips.
"I don't think that will be a wise idea Letu. To depart without any planning or preparations would be incredibly dangerous. Especially considering that I'm not exactly the type of person who would be welcomed upon their planet. At best they will tell us to turn back and leave, at worst some idiots will try to pick a fight, and Kaula would be forced to decide between fighting for those that love her, or the planet she once called home."
Indeed, for her to travel to Vegeta under the current conditions would be a bit dangerous, suicidal even. She would need to plan things, figure out a way to reach Kaula without causing a whole planet to want her head on a spike to eat as a kebab. Of course, she wouldn't mind blowing up their planet, in the end she wasn't exactly fond of the current attitude of the Saiyajin, but then again... Would she be willing to risk making herself an enemy of Kaula?
"Not to mention, their planet is far more inhospitable compared to Earth. At the very least I'd need a bit of time to gather supplies, and talk to a few friends to ensure our safety. Perhaps a good time as any for me to help you find what your real strength is, and how to pull out your true potential. I actually know someone who would be able to do an amazing job with that. She is a true master at training people, although her methods are a bit exhausting..."
She still remembered the whole training period on Avalon, as fun as those obstacle courses had been, fighting those wooden dummies was downright brutal at times when those dummies fought better than some people she knew... A momentary pause followed once more as she looked back at the ship, silently wondering if she should call upon Vipoi and Hikari's help to ensure a safe trip to Vegeta to find Kaula. In the end she was fairly certain that depending on who was on the Saiyajin's home planet, that it wouldn't be a simple trip to pick up Kaula and have a good heart to heart to heart talk between herself, Kaula and Letu. No, if the wrong person was there at the wrong time and in the wrong mood Vegeta would likely turn into a battlefield...

The Saiyan-Demon wanted to understand, she really did. But, with the way Reikiko explained it, she couldn't help but feel a bit disheartened. What caught her attention was when the bio-android belittled her own massive level of power. Of course, she did hear the explanation about influence and how that had an impact on power. Of course, everyone had their own point of view. Right now, she struggled to see how much influence she actually had. Of course, while she struggled to figure out if she had any influence-which in reality, she had quite a bit of, though she didn't quite know the ripple effect that being Kaula's student and most recent lover would have on her family, specifically her cousin Articho. Of course, she hadn't seen him in quite some time anyway, so that didn't really matter-her attention was swiftly caught by Reikiko mentioning training. She remained silent for a moment as she thought it over before sighing softly. I guess..isn't really much to do but kill time then, huh? Alright..I'm gonna go get something that I left in there, then lets lock the ship up, and then you can take me to this teacher..but..you should probably expect some level of disappointment, and for this to take a long time.. She said as she tore her gaze away from the nest that Reikiko had pointed out, smiling weakly down at the bio android before she jogged up to the ship, the door opening and closing silently as she approached it. Of course, she finally dropped her posture, slouching a bit as she stuffed her hands into her pockets. How had things spiraled downwards so fast? When she trained with her mom and dad, she had been equated to a prodigy. She'd felt proud of how much she had a grasp of things. Of course, she struggled with getting her Ki stable..but that was to be expected from the mix of saiyan and demon..right..? Right? That was when it clicked. Kaula didn't have any problem utilizing her ki, more so than Letu would expect from someone so strong. She frowned deeply at the thought. Then..was the problem not with her, but with the way she had been trained?
It was actually very likely. As she strapped her sword onto her back once more, she pondered this dilemma. Her father was very old, he had even said so himself. And..her moves seemed very old fashioned compared to Kaula..and her mother wasn't strong to begin with. She had said many times that she was no elite saiyan...so..maybe the problem was that she hadn't been properly trained. It was likely. So, steeling herself, she walked out again, smiling softly at Reikiko. She had figured out what was wrong..hopefully. The prospect of facing proper training now..it excited her. She was ready to go, ready to learn how to properly utilize her ki, and how to properly fight. Who knows, maybe she'd even be able to pick up a few new skills during her training, right? This was going to be difficult, but maybe..just maybe, it would be worth it. No. It would be. She would make absolutely sure of it. She would make her teachers proud. All of them. Her mother, her father, and now Kaula. She had nothing to lose, everything to gain, and something to prove to everyone, herself included. She needed to show herself that she could be strong. That she could actually be capable in battle. It was the first step to making herself more confident.

She smiled briefly as Letu seemed to acknowledge that training would have been a good way to kill the time, albeit she also warned that she shouldn't have expected much, if anything at all. It was clear that training this girl was going to take a very long time. The bio-android waited for Letu to finish packing her stuff, and once she left the ship Reikiko replying in a rather peppy yet confident tone.
"Good! It would be boring if you were an easy student to raise."
She hovered slightly upwards into the air, waiting for the hybrid to follow her, when finally she started to slowly fly off into the direction that she believed Hikari had been at. She had been gathering some supplies on some of the nearby islands, and was sure it wouldn't take long to find her.
"The person we are about to meet is Hikari, she is a very dear person to me, and also the one who once taught both myself and Kaula, well before I regained most of my strength... that I lost again in a grandiose fashion, the irony..."
Reikiko mused playfully as she made sure Letu would be able to keep up with her. To train someone meant she would need to understand the girl better, not just on terms of physical capacities, but also her personality. Luckily Hikari did know a rather fun way to obtain such information. After a while it seemed Reikiko stopped hovering above a small island, gesturing Letu for her to descend, and soon the bio-android approached the beach where a young green-haired woman was seemingly occupied reeling in a fish.
"Ah Rei~ You went out to search for Kaula, and instead brought back a guest?"
She had just removed the creature from the hook and placed it inside what appeared to be some large container, that after pressing some buttons shrunk into a capsule while Reikiko declared playfully.
"Mmm~ That's right Hikari! This is Letu, a stray kitten that Kaula forgot, so we need to take good care of her."
Hikari's gaze turned toward Letu, a hint of curiosity in her eyes as she stashed the fishing rod away and approached the hybrid, extending a hand in a greeting.
"It's nice to meet you Letu. Judging from Reikiko's excited words just now I got a rough idea of the reason behind your visit, but how about we get back to the cottage that I and Reikiko are using right now in the Bamboo Forest first? It's a modest distance flying from here, but if you're tired I can call for a chopper to pick us up, maybe having a moment to catch your breath and relax a bit before a long conversation will do you well. You'd have to excuse Rei for being so impulsive, but I can see that you have a lot on your mind currently."

Letu couldn't help but give a weak smile at Reikiko's response to what she had said. Deep down inside, what Reikiko had been trying to tell her had taken root, given her a glimmer of hope. Of course, when they took off, the bio-android would have found that holding back her full speed was a good idea, as Letu was visibly struggling to keep up with her even at this lower speed of travel. Of course, when Reikiko told her who they were going to be meeting, Letu nodded, her right hand coming to the strap of her sword slung across her chest. She trusted her sword, and herself. She was going to go at this with everything she had, even if that meant that she had to learn how to do everything she had been taught all over again. However, she did land immediately after Reikiko, a brief spark of irritation showing in her eyes when Reikiko called her a stray kitten. Before she could open her mouth though, she felt Hikari's gaze turn towards her, almost as if she was boring a hole in her from just her gaze alone. Of course, it came as no surprise to her that Hikari was yet another strong being. That seemed to be all she had encountered so far. If she was being completely honest, the only reason she allowed herself to be trained before going off to Vegeta was because she was terrified that once they got there, she would find herself in a more dangerous situation than she had now. From what little she knew about the Saiyan race, they were warriors, ones who most likely had very high levels of power to begin with. So, the ones who chose to dedicate themselves to furthering their combat prowess must have been terrifyingly strong..right?
Of course, what she didn't know was that she would be considered an elite in the ranks of the Saiyan society. Stronger than most people on the planet, aside from the ones who filled the ranks of the Solar Empire's military. Still, when she was told she had a choice between taking a helicopter or flying there, the saiyan-demon simply shrugged. Truly, it is up to the two of you to decide which method of transportation we take. I am okay with flying, but also wouldn't mind taking a helicopter. And I understand her reasons for doing what she is doing. Though, I would prefer to get moving soon, give myself more time to do whatever your training will force me to do. She said simply as she took the hand, shaking it firmly, secretly grateful that Hikari seemed to know how to hold back her strength. Of course, taking the Helicopter would be more conspicuous, but flying there would likely have been more expedient. Each had their own advantages and disadvantages. At this point, she didn't care. She just wanted to get to her training, figure out what was wrong, and power her way through it. She didn't care how long it would take. She was convinced that if she figured out what was wrong, that power would come to her more easily, that she would be able to protect the people she cared for. This was a long road she had committed to walking. But, it was her choice to make.

The response of Letu came as a surprise, but didn't seem entirely unexpected, for Hikari decided to stash away the container she had been tending to, and soon grabbed a capsule that upon a light toss turned into a large vehicle. At the first sight it looked like a helicopter, the type you'd see the army use, but it was modeled in such a way that it had a beetle-like motive on it, and with the accompanying white paint it was easy to guess who it was based on.
"Yay~ the Rei Chopper!"
Reikiko declared the name of the helicopter rather happily as she climbed into the open door, her tail happily swaying back and forth while Hikari turned toward Letu to explain with a polite smile.
"Feel free to board it, you should conserve your energy for your training by resting a bit on our way. You're likely going to need it once we get to the tough part."
Hikari had just finished her explanation when she boarded the helicopter herself, taking a seat at the front and after putting on a helmet had closed the doors and made the vehicle take flight. It was not long before they were up in the air, but Hikari decided to continue speaking.
"Your timing is rather peculiar, with Reikiko planning to train once more. We'll go over the basics and design your personalized training method over the span of a week. That gives us around three more weeks to finish your training and gather the supplies we need before leaving Earth. I should warn you, I'm only in charge of fundamental training. You'll be taught by Reikiko on terms of actual combat training. It's important we modify the training as closely to your capacities as possible. It's for that reason the first week isn't just meant to be used to grow closer to you and get to know everything there is to know about you, but also to see the best way to improve your skills. You seem to be in a hurry, reminds me of Reikiko after she lost the home she and Kaula shared. Girl was so obsessed with power that she lost track of the things truly important to her."
"zzz"
A soft snore came from beside Letu, accompanied by a little bump as Reikiko had seemingly fallen asleep on her shoulder.
"We'll be there in roughly an hour."
