When the questioning about his egg came, Core would look at her and wonder a bit, then he realized most humanoid were born directly from their mother, he would widen his eyes, smiles and then shake his head lightly. ‘’ No no no, it’s not a building, it’s a real egg, its oval and rather big enough for me to fit in and be comfortable in it; It’s In it that I was created and it is made to grow with me. See it like some sort of portable bed that is always warm and comfortable!’’ He would say with an happy ton as even the dog looking up at him like his story was silly, he would giggled lightly and pet the little furry creature happily.
He would be happy that Kay though it was a good idea as well, she was even finding new reason why it would be a good idea. As he was spending time with the girl, he really felt good, she was always nice and cheering and always wanted to have fun even with the most simple task; who could dislike her after all! He would look at her circling around the city and would tilt his head, then laugh a bit when he realized she was looking for Satan City, he would himself look around and waved at her to come with with an arm as he pointed to a direction with the other. [ She is really willing to help in any condition isn’t she…] He would think with an amused smile on his face, waiting for her to come back.
The Arcosian would nod lightly as she mentioned leading the way. After all, he getting attached to the dog was so weird that it was worth going all the way through it right, and that meant spending more time with his new friend as well, which was double the fun he could imagine. ‘’ Okay so… it’s… in this direction!’’ He would say as he started to fly a bit faster than before, not too fast to keep the dog comfortable and making sure his friend could follow, but a bit faster since their destination was a bit further than their last one.
After a moment of flight, Core would notice the dog was keeping his tongue out and was looking up at him, breathing heavily. ‘’ I think he’s thirsty… there is a lake there, let’s stop.’’ He would say, turning to the girl as he lowered his flight speed and descent near the lake, putting the dog down so he would drink some water, which he quickly went near the lake to do so. Core would turn to Kay-El with a smile. ‘’ Anyway, you know a lot about my origin now, but what about yours? You said you were from another planet, but I have to ask… what species are you from?’’ He would ask in an interested and curious voice, his expression was happy and his tail would touch the water’s surface a bit, this was actually a way for him to cool down, but he was rather shy about telling it.

Kay-El followed, smiling as she listened to him talk. Despite all her ramblings, she preferred listening, it was a good way to learn and observe others. There was still a lot about Arcosians the young girl didn't know despite her very Saiyan upbringing. Instead of being taught what they were like as people. she'd been taught to recognize and disable them first chance she got. In her mind's eye she imagined it like a fish egg or a bird's egg, fragile and full of life, but she knew that had to be wrong. For one thing, it Core must fit inside of it. And it traveled with him? Where did he put it? Where did he store it when not in use? How had it come to earth with him?
The hybrid had so many questions, but for now she just kept pace with him easily. Their flight a slow one, she took in the scenery, humming softly to herself as they went. Her father always joked she could sing before she talked, and Kay felt inclined to believe it if it weren't so improbable. Then again, any day spent with Wiz Coliflo was a day spent proving at least five impossible things to be possible before breakfast. When Core's voice interrupted her thoughts, it was a welcome reprieve. "Sure, let's head down," she agreed and followed the boy and dog towards the lake. Instead of waiting for them, she just stopped flying, her blue and green wings folding and melding with her back as she tucked her knees close to her chin, arms wrapped tight around her legs. "Canonball!!" she yelled before falling deep into the water.
Cool water surrounded her, flooding her with relief at being away from the hot sun for a little while. Being under water, even briefly, reminded her of home just a little. Vaguely, she'd been aware Core spoke - maybe even talking to her or asking her something but she'd heard none of it on her plummet towards the still, cool waters below. With a few kicks, her hair looked black soaked with water and her braid floated next to her. "Sorry, what'd you say?" she asked curiously, dark eyes bright with mischief and amusement. Those eyes landed on the tail flirting with the water's surface. "Come on in, the water's great!"

When the young Arcosian turned back to the dog, only to see his new friend fall into the water like a rock, he would laugh to himself a bit, he knew it was on purpose that she did that, though he didn’t understood why she did that but it was clear she wouldn’t have heard him at all underwater. When she resurfaced, he would smile to her lightly and went closer to the water, though his feet would be at the limit were the water could splash. ‘’ Uh? What I said… uh… well… I asked what species you were exactly, since you clearly said you weren’t from Earth either…. And I was wondering that for a while…’’ He would say, looking at the water and putting his finger on it, smiling lightly at the contact. ‘’ You want me to join you? Uh… I guess that’s an Earthling’s thing…. I’ll give it a try!’’ He would tell her as he looked at the dog, making sure he was still around, he would kneel to him. ‘’ Now now… make sure not to leave uh, I only have to learn about another earth’s thing’’ He would say, patting the canine gently on the head before turning to the water.
Core would then start to walk in the water, at first nothing seemed abnormal about it, then Kay-El could noticed he was simply walking in the water, making him lower in the water as he was walking. He would look up at her, he was confused, how was she holding up without using her flight, it was rather weird. [Uh… maybe… no… I can’t find why it works ] He would think, scratching his head lightly with his tail before flying up to join her, he had still a playful smiles on his face. ‘’ Hey! Look! My Bio-Armor is all shiny now!’’ He would say as he patted his armor lightly. ‘’ I got to admit though, it feels nice to be in water!’’ He would say as his tail suddenly emerged out of the water and would splash Kay-El a bit, making Core laugh a bit. ‘’ Ah! Sorry, is that bad or something? I’m not sure…’’ He would say, somewhere between guilt and hilarity as he didn’t knew what to think really about the situation. The youngling would swim around, or more like flying around but in the water, which was a bit harder since water gave some resistance were air didn’t. Core would then to Kay and tilt his head. ‘’ How do you float without flying? I’m… curious… ‘’ He would ask curiously, looking at her, maybe it was a technique he didn’t know or something else, he wasn’t really sure about it.

Kay-El smiled back at him as he spoke, thinking how to answer. Most people, in her experience, steered clear of her when they learned she was half demon. Demons in general tended to spook people for some reason, although the only demon she'd ever met was Sam, and he'd been nothing but kind and supportive...of her, anyway. "My mom was a Saiyan," she said simply, taking the bow out of her hair and slowly unwinding the braid. Reaching up she took out the bow on top, too, and shook her hair loose before ducking back under the water once more. "I never met my real father," she added softly. The truth of it was easy to say, so it wasn't really a lie. She'd never met Rahab who lived somewhere she'd never been and likely never would go unless she could get off this stupid rock called Earth. Okay, it wasn't as stupid as she'd first believed it to be, but she still wanted to be somewhere else. "So I'm definitely half Saiyan..."
Her long, curly hair floated around her and in the water it looked straight and even longer than usual. It had never been cut in all her five and a half years of life and she liked it that way. Nana would often brush and braid it at bedtime to soothe Kay-El to sleep. The hybrid giggled at his question and said, "It's called swimming. I'm from Shikk, and we have even more ocean than Earth does. I'm from a town right on the water. I practically grew up in the ocean..." When he splashed she flashed him a mischievous grin and splashed him back.
Slowly, she demonstrated how she waded in the water, legs kicking and arms waving in precise motions. "We'll start with just staying still..." The webbing between her fingers and bared toes helped her swim more efficiently than most humanoids, and she could see under water more clearly than they could because of the thinner, clear eyelid that closed when she swam - but Core, like the people on Shikk and the Saiyans and so many humans, would probably have no trouble picking up how to swim. For her, it felt natural to be in the water, so sometimes she forgot that others could come from planets without it or where the residents didn't venture out into it, and that they might now know how. Or maybe the water on Arcose was inhabitable - how sad for them. "Was there no ocean on Arcose?" she asked curiously.

When Core heard Kay-El’s story about her mother and father, he would simply look down and back at her with a bit of a cheerful smile, he didn’t wanted her to feel depress thinking about it, the last thing he wanted to happen right now was his new friend being sad since they just met after all, he would simply remember that she was half-saiyan, but there was something else to her, he could swear, many of her physical abilities weren’t those of a saiyan, but the arcosian decided not to insist, after all, if it was really important, she would have told him right? That’s what he thought at the very least. ‘’ So you’re half-saiyan uh, that’s why you don’t have a tail but sure are full or energy and non-human abilities! That’s nice!’’ He would simply way with a wide cheerful smile, he was happy after all, why try to ruin the happy mood with sad stories and DNA.
The young arcosian would hear her talk about swimming and tilt his head, so it was a special technique he didn’t knew after all, he was sure of it, there was something he was missing here and he was curious about it, but the more curious thing was Kay-El’s hair, they looked a bit longer than before, which make him confusedly tilt his head. ‘’ Your… uh… hairs… was your thingy in them magic? Because they seem longer now… is that normal? Or maybe is water affecting my view?’’ He would ask, rubbing his eyes a bit just to receive more water into them, making him giggles and splash her a bit more with his hands, laughing childishly while doing so, it felt rather fun to splash her with water like this, and her reaction was rather amusing too, maybe it was a natural thing after all on Earth.
When Kay-El started to ‘teach’ him this technique of hers, Core would try to imitate her, sure he wasn’t really good at it at first, but he was a quick learned, so he let down his flight and began so barely hold himself to the surface, and quickly began to move a bit, it was harder for him since Arcosian had a very low oxygen need, so their body was less likely to float easily, but he could still do a bit of it. When the question of water on Arcose came off, he would turn his head and nod positively. ‘’ We have water on Arcose, but I was never allowed to go outside of the lab… so learning that kind of technique is new to me… the only water we have in the lab was for baths or drinks…. Really nothing that would make me need such a thing… and I realize now I’ve been missing some fun!’’ He would say as he splashed her again a bit, giggling lightly.

(Hey, Core Stold she does have a tail...could have sworn I mentioned it early on but maybe I forgot to.) " I do have a tail..." she said, the end of it reaching out and tugging on his tail. She pulled hard, trying to dunk him, as she splashed him yet again with water. "And my hair?" she blinked, confused, and then laughed again. " Oh, well, when hair is braided it winds and knots so it looks shorter than it is and mine's curly, so it looks even longer when it's straightened out by water and heat and stuff. Although in this kind of humid, wet heat, if I let it out of the braid dry it tends to get all fizzy." She made a face, nose crinkling in distate at that last word. She hated when her hair got all fizzy and poofy and it just looked awful!" She smiled when he started to keep himself afloat without flying, and said, "That's it! You're doing it..." leaning forward, she demonstrated how to swim using her arms and feet, one hand before the other with her feet kicking for added momentum. A few feet away she stopped and turned to look at him once more. " Alright, try swimming over here to me!" she said, her gaze steady on him. If he needed help, she'd be there, although she doubted he would. Still, she taught him so he felt like her responsibility in that moment, just a little. The dog barked at them from the shore and waded into the water, proving that he knew how to swim. Perhaps not as quickly or efficiently as either humanoid, but he steadfastly doggie-paddled over to them, matted fur dampening in the water around him. They really did need to get him somewhere he'd get cleaned up and cared for properly. With a sigh, she looked up at the sky, eyes closing as Kay let its warmth press against her face. " We should keep moving," she said softly. The break was nice but Nana really would worry about where she'd gone off to. Kay-El always came back before too long had passed and if she dallied longer, Nana would throw a fit, no doubt. " Is it far from here?" Slowly, she rose out of the water, flying up and above the lake. Raising her arms she put her hair back in a high poinytail instead of the usual braid since they didn't have time. The sun lowered towards the horizon and she did need to be back before dark. Last time she'd stayed out too long, Nana came looking for her, and that had been embarrassing, to say the least.

Core would laugh a bit when he finally noticed his friend’s tail, he didn’t noticed it before, making it look like it kind off appeared out of nowhere and would surprise him, especially since he felt the contact of both their tail, making him shiver a bit. ‘’ Hey! It tickles!’’ He would say with a funny voice as he tickled her tail with the tip of his own playfully. ‘’ I’ll show you real tickle!’’ He would say with a face showing his amusement as he listens to her. ‘’ I think your hairs looks nice… i-is that weird to say… we used to complement our horns among my brothers… it’s kind of the same right… right?’’ He would say in a rather shy-looking voice, he didn’t wanted to sound too weird to his new friend, it would be too sad to lost her now that he had finally made some nice bond with someone on Earth that wasn’t a mentor to him.
When Core was actually slowly trying to catch the idea of the ‘swimming’ technique she was teaching him, mostly trying to imitate her every movement as he was trying to get it rather slowly, but would eventually get it, he would slowly go to swim to her as he got an idea, he would smile rather jokingly as when he got to her, he would grab her and would bring her with him underwater. He would resurface both of them when he would hear the sound of the dog, the Arcosian’s hearing was really enhanced, the origin being from his very creation as he was created to be superior being, so his senses were enhanced lightly, enough for him to hear someone through a lot of water.
When he resurfaced with her, he would slowly walk with her toward the dog who was slowly swimming, he would giggle lightly and lift the dog out of the water with his tail and bring him back on the soil. ‘’ Hey buddy, don’t fall too deep under water’’ He would say as he kneeled to caress the dog gently, then he looked back at Kay-El. ‘’ You’re right! Let’s go, it’s not really far from here, maybe a couple of minutes at our usual speed and we’ll be here! ‘’ He would say as he slowly went to hover over the ground and back up in the air, waiting for her before slowly going away toward Satan City as the sun was slowly drifting down, it was near the horizon now, but it was still the last hour of daytime they would have.

She grinned at his compliment on her hair. "Thanks, I like it, too..." At his next words about horns she paused, silently contemplating something as she swam around him in circles. Reaching up, she touched one horn curiously, tentatively. "I do like your horns," she said, partly to be nice and partly because it was true. Taking her hand back, she hoped it was okay that she'd touched and that she hadn't offended him. Kay-El stuck out her tongue when he tickled her back, never having been ticklish, herself. She used to use it to win all the 'fights' with her adoptive father, Wiz, but those were better days a long time ago in another galaxy far away in both time and space. And then they were under the water. She pushed down on his head, not seriously, enough to play back.
As they set off, him with the dog and her with her wet hair, she looked back down at the lake and decided it would be their place from then on. That lake marked the beginning of their friendship, a very physical symbol of an intangible thing she hoped would last forever. Nana often said she envied Key-El's youthful hopes and endeavors to see the best in everyone, and Kay-El did her best to keep herself that way for as long as possible. And just as soon as they'd come, they left the same way through the air with her following he who held the dog. The canine in question looked perfectly happy to be up in the air, s a sight that might have scared others of its kind, and she waved at it whenever the four-legged 'thief' looked her way.

The young Arcosian would smiles lightly as his compliment would not seems weird, he was rather hoping it would end up that way, he liked the way she reacted well at everything he did or almost, even if maybe he did something wrong, but it didn’t seemed like he did. When she touched his horns, he would close his eyes and let out a purr-like sound before opening them back and looking at her with a light shy smile, getting your horn touched for an Arcosian was the equivalent of getting your hair pet, which was a feeling Core always liked, even back when his horns were small and round. Core would pout lightly and jokingly when he saw her stick her tongue out when he tried to tickle her. ‘’ Hey! That’s cheating!’’ He would say in an amused voice, of course he wasn’t offended by it, it was just funny.
Core would look down at the dog that looked happy to fly, sticking his tongue out to the wind, which would make him laugh a bit to himself, the dog looked so innocent he was adorable, even to the eyes of an alien like him; he had some bases on those terms after all. After a moment, he turned back to Kay-El and tilts his head. ‘’ Hey! I have an idea! If we want to meet back somewhere, we can always go back to that lake right?! I mean, it’s an easy place to find and it’s a rather fun place right? ‘’ He would say in an happy ton as Satan City came in sigh, quickly growing in size as it they were approaching it rather fast.
Quickly enough, they would arrive at the city’s entry, and after a moment, they were in the heart of the city, flying above the crowd, Core was looking for a ‘shelter’ for his new friend, he turned to Kay-El. ‘’ Look, I found one!’’ He would say, pointing at a building which was near them.

She followed behind at the pace he set, easily keeping up, letting the sun and breeze dry her wet clothes and hair. Her smile brightened further as his words echoed her thoughts. "I was just thinking the same thing!" she said, eyes bright with an ecstatic energy that seemed limitless. There was just something about making new friends and being allowed to keep them that felt liberating. Back on Shikk if she made a friend Pea, her adoptive mother, disapproved of, that new friend would vanish from the Coliflo holdings. Later, Kay-El learned it was her budding friendship with them that got them sent away to the mines or elsewhere and she'd taken it very hard, indeed. Her childhood had been a lonely one so far, but usually she didn't mind it - that was before she'd met Uncle Sam.
"That lake is totally 'our spot,'" she added with a nod, looking towards the city as they approached. It was crowded and full of new people to watch and learn from and Kay-El's attention was soon lost within its streets, twists and turns. Until Core's voice brought her out of it. Looking down toward where he pointed she nodded. "Perfect. I bet they clean him up nice and good. Maybe they can even find a nice family to adopt him and give him a forever home..." she mused, starting a slow, spiraling descent into the chaos and madness below that was Satan City. "I wonder if the shelter will give him a name, or maybe the family that takes him in for keeps." So many things still left a mystery, Earth was unlike home in so many ways, yet similar in others. More animals roamed free back home, but there were far less cities inland. All their busiest areas were on the coast as they were a people that thrived on commerce and their ports.

Core would widen his eyes and his smiles as he heard her saying she was thinking the same thing, he would laugh a bit and spin around her playfully. ‘’ Eh eh! It is totally our spot now!’’ He would repeat in an happy ton, the dog slowly licking on Core’s bio-armor, which make him giggle lightly, he could not believe he first though that might be something aggressive towards him, it was so adorable after all, he can’t even resist petting the animal when he was doing so, he really took a liking to this animal, but wouldn’t really be sad to give him away to people who would take care of him, he wouldn’t be able to on his own, but he would certainly keep an eye on his new family, making sure they would treat him alright, not that he didn’t trusted human, but he wanted to make sure he wouldn’t end up with that kind of people that every species had, those who don’t care about anything else than their own person.
When Kay-El started to muse about the puppy’s future, Core would nod happily. ‘’ of course he’ll find a family! Look at him, he’s the most adorable puppy ever, I’m sure of it! No way someone won’t take him quickly, and I’ll make sure to keep an eye on him~’’ He would admit to her, winking a bit to her playfully as they got into the shelter, Core looking around, it was a nice place overall, the animals were taking cared off in plain view and seemed happy. Core would deposit the dog down, who will look up at him and rub his face against his foot before going to play as he heard another dog playfully barking at him, they started to chase each-others tail, which make Core’s remaining doubt about the place disappear as he looked at Kay-El. ‘’ Mission complete Kay! ‘’ He would say happily, jumping on himself as the girl at the desk would look at them and smile. ‘’ We’ll take good care of him, don’t you worry, you can come and visit him if you want.’’ She would say in a nice ton as Core went to hug him again. ‘’ eh eh~ of course I will~’’ He would simply answer before turning back to Kay-El. ‘’ Well well! That’s a case solved right? It’s getting dark outside though… you should go back home right?’’ He would ask Kay, hopping she had somewhere to go back to.

Core looked so, so happy, which only infected Kay-El with the same emotion even more. She bounced down to the ground, giggling as the dogs chased each other's tails. Perhaps this place wasn't so bad after all. Not that she'd had any doubts, she hadn't, it just wasn't the city she'd gotten used to over the past ... however long it had been. Honestly, she'd lost track of how long she'd been on Earth and off course. Reaching down, she pet both dogs and then a third who'd wandered up seeking attention. The child could easily loser herself in places like these, surrounded by simpler life forms, none of them expected anything from her she couldn't give them. Love, attention, some food and time - that was all these furred creatures begged of her, and those she had in spades. Well, not the food, but she could probably find some if she needed to.
She was glad when Core said he'd keep an eye on the pup. In the time spent with him, the three bonded. If it hadn't been for this very dog, she and Core might never have met, but Kay had the distinct feeling they'd see a lot more of each other in the future. And it was a thought that brought her joy, a floating feeling in her stomach that wouldn't go away. The bonds of friendship forged in stranger and mysterious ways. One couldn't choose their friends just as they couldn't really choose their family. While family didn't end in blood, it didn't always begin there, either. For a girl who never knew her biological family, her adoptive one had been a roller-coaster - and now here was this fun, sweet Arcosian boy who seemed to come from a past that was altogether uniquely different than her own but they shared much in common with each other, Both outsiders on Earth, both running from places and experiences they wanted to keep in their past, it must have been more than mere coincidence that brought them together now.
Kay-El Coliflo spent much of her first days on Earth miserable and hating the entire planet, but now the thought of leaving it held a sour note where before it promised only good things. Leaving would happen, it was an unavoidable eventuality one way or another, but Kay was glad to say she definitely wanted to come back some day after finding her brother.
"Yeah," she said sadly. "I should get going...bye, Core, I had a really great time with you." The thought of leaving left her wondering how they'd even get in touch with each other. She could give him her cell number, she'd only just gotten her own recently so Nana could contact her when she went on her adventures instead of always hunting her down. In the end, she decided to leave that until another day. They'd find each other. They had the lake, after all, and serendipity loved to play her games with those who believed as well as those who didn't. She threw her arms around him in a quick, tight hug before pushing back and jumping up into the air. If she lingered, she'd stay, if she looked back, she'd falter. And so she headed off into the sunset and then back towards the lake. From the lake, she'd find her way back to Nana and her lovable Pounce.
Her bed, while not much, would afford her some semblance of peace while she slept, her own head snuggled close with the kitten's small, warm frame. Nana would sleep in the bunk bed below her own, the window slightly ajar allowing a soft breeze to trickle in. All in all, it had been a really good day.

When Core saw the expression on Kay-El’s face while playing with the furred animals, it made him want to try, he would kneel in front of her and pet the dogs and play with them as well, surrounding them with love and attention they were so much looking for, which made him happy that he was making those cute little life forms, so simple and adorable, happy for the time he could, this place was really nice, allowing this abandoned little people to get some love and attention they could not get otherwise, think about it for a bit, Core came to the realization, this place was like Earth to him, it was accepting him and giving him what he always starved for, which made him and the puppy no different from each other after all, and the simple thought of it made him smile to himself, what a wonderful lesson that was… no matter how small or big you are, there is always something bigger and you’ll always have needs that needs to be fulfilled by your surroundings.
On this matter, Kay-El was part of the cycle too, Core knew she was still hiding things from him, but as he knew her, it was probably for good reasons, after all, everyone has a dark spot in their past that wasn’t so fun to talk about and better left in the darkness it was spawned from back when it happened, they had to focus on the good things, like their friendship that was growing so fast, their connection was obvious, and the way they met was so unbelievable lucky, Core could only put this on fate’s back, it probably was fate who put both their path to cross at this very moment, and he knew their path wasn’t going to part away soon.
When he heard her sad voice, Core would get closer and pat her shoulder lightly, he nodded at what she said. ‘’ Yeah, it was amazing, and don’t be sad, it’s not over after all, there is a tomorrow, and a day beyond that, there is plenty of time to play together again’’ He would say with a wide smile as he felt her hug. A loud, inner noise came from him that only him heard, some sort of boom in his chest as he hugged her back for the swift moment she did, he would look at her flying away as this new feeling would slowly extend to his whole body and would slowly fade, like a pulsing wave, reaching the tip of his hands, feet and tail before fading like nothing happened, to it left a trace in him, he would tilt his head as she disappeared in the sunset. [T-that was… weird… a new feeling maybe? ] He would think to himself as he left the shelter and went flying towards Beryl’s ship, were is egg was.
When he went to bed, crawling into his egg which was way more comfortable and the bed Beryl offered him, though he would often use it to simply relax. When he closed his eyes, he saw Kay for a moment, which made him smile in his last moment of consciousness, he knew he was going to see her again, and he looked forward to this moment, and his last though were driven to her and his brothers, he had many people that he cared about now, he was no longer a test subject. From this peaceful and happy though, he fell asleep deeply.
[THAT'S ALL FOLKS! ]
