“Don’t get lost,” Nana said before they parted ways at the market. While the elder Saiyan shopped for necessities, the young hybrid wandered around. Eventually, her curiosity got the better of her and she wandered too far, drawn by all the foreign sights, sounds and smells Earth had to offer. Shikk, in ways, differed from Earth and yet so similar in others it made her miss home just a little, although she’d never admit it.
When Nana told her about the Ki Suppression technique she never expected her Birdie to use it to hide from her, but the five year old liked to explore and adventure on her own. While she knew Nana caught up to her eventually, every time, the blue-eyed half-demon enjoyed giving her the slip for as long as possible. Every time was a test for both of them, on that Kay enjoyed rather more than Nana Ban.
Alas, despite both their best efforts, Kay-El Coliflo was lost. Utterly, stupendously, completely lost. Having left her pet kitten, Pounce, with Nana and their things, she was also alone. The town square was a busy place as beings hustled to and from wherever they’d been and wherever they went. A woman yelled at her child and the latter began to cry, a juggler performed for tips and a man screamed out, “Not my cabbages! Not again!.” The girl, her midnight blue curls in a braid, wandered over. He was rambling now and she leaned even closer to eavesdrop. “Fifth time this month, mangy cur keeps stealing my cabbages...I’m gonna get him good, I will. A reward! That’s it, I’ll offer a reward!” And like that the old man pulled out paper and pencil and began to sketch.
“What happened?” she asked, looking over his shoulder when he sat down.
He jumped and looked at her incredulously. “Away with you, kid, this is a concern for grown-ups. Thieves aren’t to be taken lightly!”
Kay-El frowned but didn’t leave, too curious for her own good, as it were. She waited patiently until he set the sign on his stand and then she burst out in a fit of giggles. He threw another incredulous look in her direction and, most likely about to emit some scathing remark, she just shook her head and ran off. His Cabbage Thief was nothing but a stray dog from the picture he’d drawn, but maybe she could find this dog and claim the reward for herself!
And just like that, she had direction and purpose again as she crossed the bridge and started down a side street in search of the small, furry perpetrator. If she caught him and brought him to some kind of shelter, maybe she could get the reward and help the dog find someone to love him and get him the food, shelter and help he needed. “Dogggyyyyy, where are youuuu?” she called softly, ducking down to check in a crawlspace underneath a building to her right. “Come out, come out, wherever you arrrre.” Nothing but rats and roaches down there, she decided, before taking a sharp left at the corner.

Core was lost, and when he admits it, it’s because he’s lost to the point were the only solution for him to find himself back where he know where is he would be to fly up in space and look at Earth, trying to make sense of whatever continent he could know off, and he was way too lazy for that, so he decided to follow his ki-sensing and flew over to the closest city he could find, in hope to see if there was anyone what would help him like the previous time at the café, but he doubted so because most people on Earth would see him as a weird demon-like alien, scary and demonic. The young Arcosian would land near a city, not as big as the previous one but still a large-scaled land filled with human habitation and other things were they lived in a community.
Upon landing, Core noticed a small animal running away with a weird green ball in his mouth, which was confusing enough for Core simply to forget it and walk away like he saw nothing, a technique he used a lot on Earth since he got here, him who was used to live in captivity in a lab with only his creators and brothers, there was so much thing he couldn’t understand, it was overwhelming. When walking through the street of the city, Core would notice there was a lot of people looking like the guy he stopped at the café a few hours ago, carrying the same weird-shaped thing that the guy tried to use on his skull, which is still didn’t knew the use off now. The youngling finally happened to see, for one of the few time on Earth, someone who was about his size, she was rather human-looking, but there was something a little weird about her Core couldn’t really put his finger on, she was talking to an old man holding a weird piece of paper with a rather familiar image on it.
Core would walk to both people pointing at the image. ‘’ I’ve seen this when I came here…. You’re looking for him?’’ He would ask, not noticing the girl was gone the instant he came here to ask his question, the old man would sigh and hide the image. ‘’ What is it with small people and solving crimes right now? Uh… this world has become weird...’’ He would mumble to himself while walking away. Core was a little confused as he started to chase for the girl, he didn’t had any reason to do so, he just wanted something to do, and this was clearly the only thing he could do right now to entertain himself and now just lay there bored, he would follow the sound and catch up to her. ‘’ Hey, you, you’re looking for that weird furred quadruped with a green ball in his mouth? Because if so, you’re not looking in the right place.’’ He would tell her, a bit amused.

She searched high and she searched low, wings spreading from the half-Demon’s back as she took the the air. The rooftops were clear of the furred fiend and Kay-El headed back down. The wings with their swirling green and blue patterns folded back into her skin, slightly raised like tattoos, as she headed back down to street level. Using both hands, feet and tail, the half-Saiyan girl with the slightly pointed ears and elongated canines gritted her teeth as she finally touched back down to the ground. “Come onnnn pup, where you at?” she asked, tugging on a tarp covering an old cart.
A cat hissed at her and she frowned, letting the tarp fall back and block out the light once more so the feline could get some rest. “Sorry…” she whispered as if it understood her, ducking down to check under the cart, instead.
Shoulders slumped at the lack of victory after the total five minutes of searching, the girl was fiercely determined to see this through. At least it helped pass the time, to say the least. “Hey, you,” she heard and sun to face the source of the strange, unfamiliar voice. The boy was odd but no stranger than she in these Earthen surroundings. His look was distinctly Arcosian, but despite Arcosians being the death of her father (and many others), she didn’t hate all of them on sight like so many of her Saiyan friends and family members. People should be judged on their own merit, not the deeds of others of their kind.
His next words were confusing only for a moment. “You’re looking for that weird furred quadruped with a green ball in his mouth? Because if so, you’re not looking in the right place.”
Kay worked it through. Furred quadruped...dogs had four legs, and he was definitely a mass of fur, for sure. “I am!” she said, taking a few steps closer to the stranger. “Have you seen him? Was he sitting or moving? Where was he? Is he far? There’s a reward, but I think it’d be neat to get the dog to a shelter or something, don’t you? I mean, he’s gotta steal to eat and he’s all alone out there in the world… The green ball is a Cabbage, by the way. They’re round and edible and taste awful. What’s your name?” She spoke and asked questions in rapid succession and then blushed, taking that step back once more. “Sorry…” she slowed down and stuck out her hand in greeting. “I’m Kay-El. I’m new here...to Earth, I mean. I’m from Shikk…” Alright, now she was babbling. Taking a deep breath, she let it out slowly, almost completely distracted now from her original purpose.
Large, dark blue eyes, the color consuming the whole eye and leaving no whites, blinked up at him. Not a full blink, just the clear, inner eyelids that came down when she swam or was nervous or anxious, like now. She had a puppy to find and, naturally shy, meeting new people could be scary for the girl.

Core was totally into weird territory at this point in a single sigh, first he noticed the special appearance of the female humanoid, were eyes were completely covered in a dark blue color, something the young Arcosian had never heard of and gave him the chill lightly. Then there were the pointy ears, which were something not yet unheard of, but still something that wasn’t part of saiyan’s anatomy or human’s anatomy, which was the only species Core knew she could be of due to the rest of her appearance. The Arcosian would stay on his guard, he didn’t knew what to expect from this girl from now on, though his appearance would still look rather friendly, the youngling wasn’t really threatening to anyone who wouldn’t sense his ki, and even there, his ki would have to be higher to be any scary to anyone, which on Earth, didn’t seemed to happen really often at all.
The young grey-skinned Arcosian tried to listen to her whole speech, not without difficulty, but it wasn’t that hard compared to his class back at the lab, it was even rather easily follow able, he would wait for her to present herself to finally speak to her. ‘’ Well, i’m Core, nice to meet you!’’ He would say, as he all around knew a bit of Earth’s greeting technique. ‘’ For your other question, in order, yes i have seen him, he was moving from the limit of the city to some kind of large field. For the shelter, I am not sure what to think, since shelters are made to protect from heavy weaponry… but if you think he’s in danger, maybe it’s better for him… I’m pretty sure an animal can find food on his own, even if it’s too steal from this old man, he didn’t looked like his life was threatened in any way by the lack of this so called ‘cabbage’ this dog took from him… especially if they taste awful… though everything I’ve ate so far on Earth tasted better than everything I’ve tasted in my life.’’ He would finally finish, breathing in deeply before looking back at the girl, removing his mouth piece to reveal his young face fully.
‘’As for my name, its Core Stold, and I am not from Earth either, but I think you could actually deduce that on your own couldn’t know?’’ He would say with a friendly and amused voice before looking around to see where he came from. ‘’ He should be headed over here, I saw you can fly, just follow me if you want to find him.’’ He would say as he looked at his right, then floated a bit up before launching himself in the direction he was looking, looking back to see if the girl was indeed following him he didn’t wanted to be rude and not wait for her, though he didn’t knew her at all, he could always help someone out like that, especially since he had nothing to do at all.

“Core,” she said softly, admiring the way it rolled off the tongue. It was an interesting name, to say the least, but she liked it. And even if she didn’t, who was she to judge? “It’s nice to meet you, too,” she said, but he was already talking again. Her eyes widened further as she soaked in the information, nodding vigorously with each new bit he gave her. “Well, shelter’s for animals are like...they take in strays, find them homes, take care of them. They protect animals! That’s what I’ve discovered here, anyway, and I think that’s awesome.” She paused and took to the air after him, mulling over the other things he’d said and responding appropriately, in order which she deemed worthy - or, really, in the order she recalled them by.
“That old man sure was grumpy, but, well, no, his life wasn’t really in danger but the dog stole from him so it could eat, right? So...his business hurts, and he said it wasn’t the first time, either. I’m worried what will happen to the dog if someone else finds him and ends the problem in another way. I mean, it’s not the dog’s fault that it’s hungry and those cabbages were easy to steal from the old-timer, right? And I mean, I don’t like them, but if he sells them then he must like them? And people buy them, right? I guess they’re allowed their opinions about Cabbages, even if they’re wrong.” She flashed him another smile as she flew alongside him, looking down at the Earth below.
The last time she flew this high was so long ago she couldn’t even remember it. “So what’s the food like where you’re from?” she asked curiously. While Earth hadn’t been her intended destination, it sure was interesting and fascinating and slowly winning her over. But some deep-seated desire to see more and more had blossomed inside of her, an insatiable curiosity about the rest of the galaxies and planets out there. “Oh, also…” she said, digging into her pocket and pulling out a piece of paper. It was clearly well-used, folding lines and cracks abounded, but she opened it and showed it to him.
On it was a roughly drawn picture of a Saiyan with a bucket helmet and a few other features. In the picture, the subject held a gun. “Have you my brother? His name is Pin and...I’ve been searching for him.” Every person she’d asked so far, every single time, knew nothing of the Saiyan shaped Android named Pin. But hope was like a fire that never died. Someday, if she tried hard enough and searched long enough, she’d find him. Vaguely, she wondered where Pin was now and if he even knew she existed.
Looking down, she smiled as she saw the dog and pointed. “Core, look, you were right! There he is!” The Cabbage was gone, but that was to be expected. More importantly, they could maybe get this dog the help it needed and get it out of the old man’s figurative hair.

The young Arcosian male would laugh lightly at the way she repeated his name, he had to admit, even himself wasn’t really used to his name, all of his previous life, he has been called Red, due to his creator needing an easy way to remember and note the six brother’s entire name. He then listened to her explanation about what the ‘shelter’ she was talking about really was, which makes him nod lightly with a wide smiled. ‘’ Wow… this is really a good thing that does things exist here… I guess it’s kind of like where I come from, we’re just gathered here and taken care of until something happened and we have to move quickly, but yeah, we should get this dog here, at least he won’t have to steal for a living!’’ He would tell her, smiling widely at her.
The girl was making Core laugh a lot, she had a rather strongly showing personality and was that kind of person the young Arcosian could identify to, especially since he himself and his brother were kind of like this, always arguing over the little details of their everyday life, which was already so dull they didn’t had that much to thing argue with. ‘’ Well, when I saw this green ball, the first thing that came to my mind wasn’t that it could be eaten… so this ‘dog’ must been really hungry to think it was his only hope… especially since you’re telling me it taste awful ‘’ He would say with a chuckle as he rolled around her while flying, playfully toying around.
Core didn’t really know how the conversation went from cabbage to what was the taste of the food he had back on Arcose, but he would laugh it off and turn to her while flying. ‘’ Well… to be honest, it didn’t tasted good, not only it tasted bad, but there was no way to get used to it, as it has such a low flavor, it was only leaving a bad taste in your mouth, one that was hard to take away… I guess that’s why I love Earth’s sweet so much!’’ He would say with a wide smile, thinking back at the hot chocolate her had earlier this very day.
The Arcosian then tilted his head as she clearly had something to ask him that was more important than the previous things, she was getting a drawn picture, Core’s memory managed to see this as a picture of a saiyan, or so he looked like it, he would shake his head rather sadly, looking at her. ‘’ No… I’ve actually just arrived on this planet… I’ve not seen that many people, and your brother isn’t one of them…’’ He would tell her, smiling back at her lightly. ‘’ But hey! I can help you looking for him if you want!’’ He would say happily, trying to cheer her up.
Core would follow her to the ground, not realizing what she was landing for as he saw the furry creature he saw earlier this day, he would smile lightly looking at the green ‘cabbage’ that supposedly tasted awful, which was already almost all eaten by the animal. ‘’ Well, now that we found it! Do you know any of those ‘shelter’ you talked about where we could take him?’’ He would ask her as the dog came close to the Arcosian and licked him a bit. ‘’ W-wow… what is he doing? Is that… a good thing or a bad thing? Is he testing my defenses?’’ He would ask, totally confused as he never had a pet or even saw one, he turned to her, completely out of his element and confused, his face almost begging for help.

Every detail he gave her she gobbled up like a holiday feast. Why was the food so weird and, well, bad there? Were all shelters on Arcose for military use? Core seemed so intrigued when she’d explained about the animal shelters and, yes, they were good ideas! All life was due respect, in her opinion, even that of a dog or cat or mouse. Even the cockroach sleeping in her wall deserved some respect, after all, its species was nigh on indestructible. And from what she understood, humans had tried. But no matter what they did, the little bugger lived on.
Her mind forgot all its questions when he mentioned sweets and her eyes lit up. The small body dipped ever so slightly as she forgot to fly in her excitement. “Yes, like chocolate and icing and…” she drifted off as they landed, falling silent as the two children approached the dog cautiously. Wild animals could be skittish at times, often running off at the first sign of anything remotely warranting fear.
When he told her he hadn’t seen Pin she sighed and put the picture away, but brightened at the offer of help. “Really? You’d do that? That’s so nice and awesome and you’re really cool!” It was the first genuine offer of help she’d received other than that of her Nanny who was probably trying to figure out where she’d run off to by now. Sooner or later, she’d track Kay-El here. Kay was just hoping it’d be a little later rather than sooner.
When the dog wandered over curiously and licked at Core, she giggled at his reaction. “W-wow… what is he doing? Is that… a good thing or a bad thing? Is he testing my defenses?” Did they not have dogs where he came from? How sad for him.
“No, no, it means he likes you!” she said between fits of high-pitched, girly giggles. Wandering closer she thought about his other question and said, “I’m not actually sure where the nearest shelter is. If we bring him back to town maybe we could ask someone for directions?” Her face scrunched up at the thought. “I mean, I’d take him in, myself, but Nana might have a fit. Besides, I’m not sure he’d get along with Pounce...he’s a cat.”

Core would laugh lightly as she lit and almost turned crazy when he mentioned sweets, he would look at her with a wide smile, and his laugh was childish and innocent as he looked at her closely. ‘’ But you know, I’m not that good with Earth’s sweets, I’ve barely enjoyed a sundae and a hot chocolate so far, though there we so good I’m probably going to try everything else…I have a café I ‘Saved’ from some weird guy with a metal stick they call a ‘gun’ which is apparently dangerous… so they offer me things to eat whenever I pops in… but I mostly takes what he gives me, which is always something sweet and nice!’’ He would say as they approached the dog, he was rather less careful than her, not really knowing that he would be scared.
Core would blush bright, well… he would if he somehow could, when he heard her cheer him up as he offered her his help, that was nothing too hard, looking for someone couldn’t be that hard on this planet after all, and to be honest to himself, Core found himself taking appreciation to the girl, she was funny and had great knowledge over Earth, Daiki felt like he made his first friend on Earth after all. ‘’ Eh eh, you’re welcome; I can’t be that hard right? His name is Pin… if I ever encounter him, I’ll make sure to make you know!’’ He would say in an amused voice, due to her reaction that was rather funny.
The young Arcosian would then leave a sigh before he kneeled and looked at the dog a bit. ‘’ So... Uh… he licks me because he likes me… is that a… earthlings thing? Or is it only with those ‘dogs’ ‘’ He would ask her, turning back to her as he heard her talk about another animal, a ‘cat’ as he heard it. ‘’ Uh… a ‘cat’? Is that another name for dog? Or is it another weird animal like dogs?’’ He would say as he picked up the dog gently in his hands, being really careful with the animal, he didn’t wanted to act like Sleet and accidently harm the dog. The animal was looking up at Core, waving his tail around; Core would tilt his head and do the same in confusion, waving his tail around as well. ‘’ So, we shouldn’t go flying too fast right? I mean, it could scare such a fragile and weak creature right?’’ He would ask her, his tail didn’t stopped as he found it funny.

"Just an animal thing..." she said softly, reaching out and scratching the mutt behin the ears. And a cat's, well, it's a cat! I know!" She took out a notebook and pencil and began to draw a rough sketch of what a cat looked like. Smaller than a dog, usually, with opinted or softly rounded ears and the narrow face. The weird pupils were the hardest part and she stuck out her tongue as she drew, looking up at Core when he spoke once more. "And, yeah, I suppose so...going slow might be better. and tell me about this cafe, I've never had hot chocolate before! Only cold. Why would anyone want to heat it up? Wouldn't it melt and get all sticky and gooey and be inedible?"
She went back to her drawing as she took to the air flying low to the ground at a moderate pace. Her own tail curled up at the end as she concentrated, and Key-El looked back at Core when she finally finished. "This...this is a cat!" she said proudly, her crude, childlike drawing doing the best it could for the species.
People, she'd realized along the way, were just people. Good people, bad people. the whole 'nature vx. nurture' argument...it all boiled down to what made people who they were. What made them tick, what made them laugh or smile or cry - and what made them click with others. Core seemed a nice enough kid and Kay decided she liked him. Having never really had friends before, except for Nana, her adoptive mother Pea always made sure any potential friends she might have had got moved out of the picture before any real bonds could form. The Saiyan warrior hoped to make Kay stronger for not having any ties to others, but it just served to piss the Hybrid off more than anything else. "What kind of animals do you have back home?"
(Sorry this took so long, rl's been crazy)

Core would nod lightly at her answer, he was sure hoping licking someone wasn’t part of Earth’s greetings that would have been weird for him later if he came to appreciate someone more and more. The young Arcosian would tilt his head as he saw the little girl doing something weird with a funny stick and some thin pieces of paper. [ Uh… what is she doing…] He would think to himself, looking at her with a rather curious look and a bit of a smile. Core would then giggles lightly at her question. ‘’ Okay then, let’s go slowly. And also, this café is in the middle of the city called ‘Satan city’, it has a friendly manager that I saved from a thug and now he give me some sweets when I show up, it’s really fun! Also, a hot chocolate Is something you drink, it’s not sticky at all but it taste so good and warms you up, it’s really something incredible~’’ He would say with enthusiasm as his tail waved around a bit more.
The youngling would follow his new friend with the dog in his arm, who was still waving his tail around and snuggled against the Arcosian, which made him giggles. ‘’ He’s rather cute, I do hope the shelter will take care of him.’’ He would say before turning to her and seeing her drawing, he would look at it closely, it was a child’s drawing but he could at least get the general idea. ‘’ Well, it looks rather cute to me, and they have interesting eyes~’’ He would say with a light giggle before he looked at the dog. ‘’ They look finer than this furry ball too!’’ He added while petting the dog as he saw her doing, seeing the dog seemed to like it.
The travel was slow, but it was in good company, Kay-el was the first person he met that wasn’t aggressive or so powerful they were kind of scary on Earth, she was about just like him, someone new to Earth, a young person with a rather amusing personality, it was just like him. She was even one of the first person he would call a friend that wasn’t part of his family; he took a liking to her immediately and hoped he would keep contact with her. ‘’ Animals… we didn’t had any back home, I lived in lab were I was created… though I’m pretty sure there was animals on Arcose, but I don’t recall them that much…’’ He would admit quite amused and with a wide smile. ‘’ But I wish I had a pet back there, but if I had, I would have lost him and would probably be sad right now’’

Kay listened carefully to each word the Arcosian spoke, drinking in the knowledge like a plant starved of sun. Hot Chocolate was a drink, maybe it was mized with something? She'd have to venture to this face and find out for herself, she decided. Maybe she'd ask Core to show her where it was some day. For now, though, they had a mission to complete! Dog rescuing and Cabbage Cart saving on the to-do list, life was nicely distracting for the moment. Every day on Earth brought at least five new impossible things into reality, and she greeted each one with enthusiasm all the same. Sweat beaded on her brow and she wiped at it with the back of her hand. The sun was strong today, not like the other day where it was gray and curdled with clouds.
"It sounds amazing," she said, watching how the two interacted. Core and the pup really seemed to get on and when he said there were no pets where he was made, she frowned. A lab. Even the name itself sounded important, daunting, scary - she didn't know much about Arcosians in general, so learning from Core was definitely helpful. "Probably," she said when he mentioned that if he'd had one he'd be missing it and sad. "I found Pounce in the Pod I came here in. He stowed away," she smiled at the memory of how she'd woken to the kitten licking at her face and Nana watching on, bemused as always. Suddenly she stopped in mid-air, wings only flapping to keep her 'in place,' her body bobbing up and down slightly with the movement of her wings.
"I just had a scathingly, brilliant, idea!" she said. "I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to, of course, but you could take him in! We can get him cleaned up, give him a hair-cut, the dog needs a home and all...I can tell he likes you." She pointed at how happy the dog looked to have a friend. "It's important to have a pet!" she said as if it were fact and not speculation; to her, it was a fact, plain and simple. How a person treated their loyal pets and fellow lesser beings said a lot about them, and having someone that relied on you taught important lessons and could even help the owner get on in life more wise and knowledgeable than before. At least, that's what Nana had said and Kay believed her. It was why Nana had let her keep Pounce at all. As long as Kay was willing to care for the cat, he was hers, and she'd learned to value him and feed him and help solve his problems. "I mean, maybe it's a stupid idea...we can just go to the shelter..."

Core would notice a residual liquid on his friend’s face; he would tilt his head curiously, not really knowing what it was before realizing it was really hot, seeing the dog was seemingly not comfortable at all with the temperature. The Arcosian would close his eyes; he knew he could emit a lot of heat from his body when using his ki. In a matter of seconds, the heat would lightly reduce around him; he would open them back and look at her. ‘’ Sorry… I didn’t thought of it… I emit a lot of heat when using my ki… my creator said it was because I was created from the energy of a star… I didn’t realize it was maybe uncomfortable for you and the dog. ‘’ He would say lightly, a bit shy that he was causing this weird humanoid reaction to his new friend and the dog.
Core would look at her when she said it was amazing, he would nod happily and giggles. ‘’ Of course it is, is taste like nothing else I’ve tasted, and it’s really nice to wake people up your brain!’’ He would say before listening closely to her story, it was rather amusing, a cat surviving a space travel would be really amusing to see, he himself was badly injured in the entering of Earth’s atmosphere and had to take an unknown number of days to recover, but he wasn’t really in a ship so he guessed it was only his bad luck that wasn’t on his side this time. ‘’ Aw, that’s so nice, you must love him really much, I mean, you did the travel with him and he’s with you since that day, it must be nice to have someone with you and a home’’ He would say with a warm smile as he stopped when she did, curiously looking at her, what could have make her stop like this of all the sudden? Maybe she had another idea than the shelter, maybe she saw something weird or dangerous, Core was ready to react at anything.
Daiki would look at her with wide eyes as she said she had a brilliant idea, he would wait for her to continue with a wide smile. ‘’ Tell me! ‘’ He would say happily as he listened to her idea. The Arcosian smiled sadly as he looked down. ‘’ I have neither a home to keep him or the knowledge to do so… seeing that even then, I’m never at the same place and I’m not aware of what places could be dangerous for him… I don’t feel like I could take care of him… he’ll be better in the shelter with people who are expert at taking care of Earthling’s animal… but…’’ He would say as he looked down at the dog and held him gently against him. ‘’ But I’ll be sure to visit him… it’s not a stupid idea… if I could take care of him, I would…’’ He would say as the city was right under them.

She shrugged and said, "We don't really have a home, not a permanent one. We're traveling a log and staying in places when we can afford it, or camping when we can't." Thinking of the way they'd crashed on Earth in the middle of the desert always left a bad feeling in Kay's mouth and the phantom sensation of harsh, coarse, sand everywhere. Even now, in mid-air far from any beach or desert, she scratched at her back as if trying to rid herself of the annoying substance. "But it's okay, about the heat, I mean. "At least it's something you can control...and are willing to do so."
Looking down, she spotted a large building with a backyard twice its size and a bunch of dogs and cats and smaller creatures running around. The five year old let Core answer, first, before pointing it out. "That's okay." Her smile as she said it was genuine. "It was just an idea. I'm sure he's gonna be just fine down there with the other animals." Reaching over, the hybrid scratched the dog behind the ears, dark, blue eyes flicking back towards Core briefly. "Thanks for helping me find him," she added softly, gazing down at the city below them.
People were everywhere, from every walk of life. Humans, primarily, but others walked among them doing their shopping, having a meal, gathering in the park for one thing or another. A large stage was being set up in one of the parks and she vaguely wondered what was going on there that required so much room but, again, said nothing. "I guess we should bring him back down now..." Her gaze lingered on two men sitting across from her at a table and playing some game with many small pieces. There were so many things about Earth that she didn't know and might never find out, but she'd sure as hell try. Maybe she'd go exploring later and find out about her Android brother, Pin. The last information she'd had came from a demon, and that was that Pin was on Namek. Namek was far, far away from Earth and had been Kay's original destination before their Pod got knocked off course in an Asteroid Field and sustained too much damage to fix the destination. It was all Nana could do to set them on a course for any planet in the direction they wound up heading. "I think I see the shelter..." she pointed, leading the way down.

Core would look at her sadly and tilt his head on the side, the more he talked with her, the more he realized how similar they were, except the fact that she was on Earth on accident and he was probably meant to be here, their story and how they ended up here was a lot similar, though she had someone to help her trough this, as Core was more likely to have many people giving him small hints about everything on the planet. ‘’ Of well, I guess I could say I have a rather stable home, but you know… it’s an egg so I couldn’t really say if that count on Earths standard… it’s much more like a bed or something..’’ He would say with a light giggle to her and a wide smile.
When the girl thanked him; Core would shake his head quickly and smiles widely. ‘’ Don’t worry, it’s nothing, I had fun with you so it’s all okay! I mean, it’s really rare for me to make any friend around here, most people are afraid of me, some people I am afraid of, and some people are just complete mean and bad persons... you on the other hand, you were never afraid of me and accepted to play with me a little, it is me who should thank you really.’’ He would say in a friendly ton as he looked down to see what she was looking at, he would widen his eyes, it was the actual first time he looked at a city from above without everyone looking at his direction, and he noticed something rather special, there was a lot of human, but there was also a lot of diversity around, he did noticed a few ‘nameks’ and maybe a saiyan, he wasn’t sure if he saw a tail, and there was a lot of Zoanthrope.
When he heard her talk and as she pointed into the shelter, Core would hug the dog gently who was still licking him. ‘’ Then… let’s go down I guess…’’ He would say as he though deeply into himself. [I’m… really going to miss him after so little time I had him… that is so weird… I’m sure going to come back and see him often… ] He would think as he looked a bit sad down to the dog that looked happy and full of energy, which made him smile back. ‘’ H-hey Kay… I have an idea that might be a little better… you see… I really don’t think this city if fit for him… I’ve seen a lot of bad people and crime around here… maybe he would be better at Satan city… and then, he would be closer for me to visit since it’s were the café I go so often to is as well..’’ He would say to her in a voice that was getting close to begging almost.

"An egg?" she asked, looking at him and wondering if he were being serious. "What kind of egg? Where is it? What's it look like? Is it in a building or something?" His next words brought another smile to her face. "I had fun with you, too, we should totally do this again some time! She liked the way he laughed, and the way he smiled and how easy it was to converse with Core. A friend, it was nice to have a friend, and she already considered him one. What he'd said was true. So many people around them were scary or unapproachable. She paused again in mid-air and thought about his request, smiling even bigger now. It seemed maybe, just maybe, Core was becoming attached to his little, furry friend.
Not that that was surprising, the puppy's almost squashed face and light colored, semi-spotted fur was adorable. The floppy ears and the way his big, pink tongue slipped free to give sloppy, wet kisses - absolutely precious. If Core wanted to be closer, then she'd make that happen. "If we being him all the way there, to Satan City, then he'll be further away from the Cabbage Cart, too. He won't seek them out and tat would make the man happy, too, I suppose." With having nothing better to do that day, Kay shot back up into the air and circled as if looking for Satan City.
That was when she realized she'd never been there before and had no idea where she was going. "So, um, I think you'll have to lead the way..." she said apologetically. Her skin felt warm under the heat of the sun and she closed her eyes, soaking it in and letting it warm her for a moment before returning to the present. The puppy looked at her quizzically and she waved back at him, tucked safely in Core's arms, and thought the two made quite the pair. Young Arcosian boy meets young, Earthen pup. Stories had been written about worse, she supposed, and hoped this one had a happy ending. Either way, she'd see it through. Especially with how sad Core sounded. Was it the possibility of missing the puppy or did he not want to be alone? This, she wisely decided not to ask. "So, after you...lead the way, Core. To Satan City we go."
