Name: Caesar Dominatus
Alias: Demon of Ambition
Species: Demon
Gender: Male
Age: 222 short years
Appearance:
Caesar seems humanoid at a glance, but his golden skin and color-drained white hair are dead giveaways to his demonic origins. He also has sharp canines, much akin to a vampire.
The pupils in his eyes are hourglasses, another way to detect that he isn't a human.
History:
/Follow me/
A simple command, and the starting-point to Caesar's escape from the demon realm.
Caesar's accomplice, a small, unassuming demon by the name of Pompey followed of his own volition, as far as he knew. Caesar's plan was very simple: utilize the demon King's son as a means to access the Royal Palace. The portal into the realm of the living was heavily guarded, but such an easy obstacle can be overcome easily with the right... tools.
"It won't be that much farther, my lord," the short demon squeaked. For the son of the Demon King, he was a moron. Indoctrinating him completely didn't take long at all. Pompey scampered up the long set of carpet-adorned stairs, checking behind his shoulder to make sure that Caesar was following. The lord of ambition followed, taking in the scenery as he went. The palace was something that was only seen in a run of the mill demon's last days, when all they had to look forward to was constant torture, followed unerringly with their death. Seeing the almost Roman architecture (the result of a human deal with the devil ages ago) without being frightened in the slightest was very empowering. Caesar was trespassing in the royal palace, something usually punishable by death. Pompey's presence with him made him nigh untouchable, though.
Finally after climbing an inordinate amount of steps, they finally reached the top of the throne room, where a throne sat, even more well-adorned than the rest of the building. Pointing to the back wall behind the throne, Pompey said slowly, "the portal is open, my master. Behind this wall. I must be leaving now, before my father misses me..." Taking a step down the stairs, he stopped suddenly in his tracks.
/lead me/
"Don't be foolish, my friend," Caesar said, hourglass eyes gleaming. "I need you to show me how the portal operates. You're not attempting to deceive me, are you?" Pompey turned, and meeped quietly,
"No, master, never! I'll lead you, right this way." the small demon began walking back behind the throne and seemingly phased through the wall immediately behind it. Interesting, Caesar thought as he too walked through the wall into a much bigger room. A clever way to hide the portal.
Immediately, the very tone of this room was different than the throne room the two demons were previously in. Whereas the last room was very well structured to look royal and official, this next room was absolutely disgusting by comparison. The floor was old and chipped cobblestone, obviously used heavily. The walls were old cracked stone, with what seems to be red lines splayed all over them. These were all backdrop though, the clear focus was the very portal that he was searching for, in the middle of the room. An obsidian altar stood, with a large orb of crimson light shining, making the light give the entire room a very eerie glow. Pompey entered the room first, Caesar following closely behind.
"How do I use this, Pompey?" Caesar walked up to the middle of the room, in front of the altar. Eyes glowing, he could feel the evil energy emanating from this evil artifact.
"Easy, lord. Simply place your hands on it and visualize the realm of the living, and you'll appear quite quickly." As if to accentuate what he said, three royal guards shot into the room, large tridents pointed directly at Caesar. You fool! So close to your goal!
"Stop right there, interloper! You may have fooled the guards posted outside of the castle, but we knew of your betrayal before you even entered our residence. Pompey, come with us, you're being deceived. Die, traitor!" All three guards converged on Caesar at once, tridents ready to pierce his body.
/Defend your master! /
Pompey acted immediately, disappearing in a puff of smoke. Caesar knew this was his only chance, and backflipped over the altar, landing on the other side, still facing the royal guards. Pompey re-materialized, however, in Caesar's place. The demon of Ambition placed his hands over the altar and started visualizing the place where the mortals would be the most easily manipulated: Earth. The tridents entered Pompey's flesh, and he whelped quietly, unable to move or speak. The guards, shocked and even more furious towards Caesar, removed their weapons from the now dying body of their master's son, and began to run at the intruder, but it was too late. The crystal atop the altar flashed brightly, blinding all in the room, and instantly, Caesar was gone.

P.S. I got a little carried away on the history, so if he is approved, can that count as the beginner post? If not, that's fine, just let me know. Thank you!
P.P.S. If anyone remembers me, I was Jorlaxl on WODR.
