"Friezaton ground control. This is Cipher 24 of the BBA, requesting permission to land. My intentions are non hostile. I repeat, my intentions are non hostile." Cipher spoke into the communicator, the Pale Rider hovering in the lower atmosphere over the planet Yardrat. From the information he had available to him, the remnemts of Arcose had established a colony here on the planet, though at the moment, that didn't really mean anything with the fiefdoms all at eachother's throats. He was a little apprehensive as to how they would respond, since the BBA had done nothing when the SSE had destroyed Arcose and thrown the empire into disarray. He would understand if they turned him away because of that.
Before long, a voice responded. Cipher 24, this is Friezaton ground control. You are cleared to land at Dock 4." Cipher gave a small smile. It was good to see that the Arcosians didn't hold a grudge. Pressing a couple of controls, the ship began to descend, the city coming into view beneath them, before they slowly touched down on the landing pad. As they touched down, the android could see someone waiting for them. It was nice to see only one person waiting to greet them, instead of an entire battalion. Touching down and powering down the ship, the ship's four occupants headed for the exit, Cipher in the lead. As they walked down the ramp, they saw that the lone person was an Arcosian, the body shape hinting at femininity, her skin mostly white with hints of a pale blue.
"Greetings," The arcosian spoke up, giving Cipher a formal bow, "I am Algyd, steward for Viceroy Sleet. His excellency is is most eager to see you. If you will follow me please." she glanced over at the people behind the android, "Your guests are welcome to accompany you as well if you like." Cipher looked back at his fiance, daughter, and Dr. Latchkin. He smiled and nodded. Unlike Vegeta, this was a rather safe planet. Getting the affirmation that it was safe, Porsalynne and Charlene smiled. Cipher turned back to Algyd. "Lead the way." The Arcosian bowed and turned to walk away, the small party following behind her.
As they walked through the city, the group were finally given a glimpse as to what an Arcosian city was like. It was good to see they were able to build such a bustling metropolis out of a small colony. Dr. Latchkin definitely looked interested. Who knows what sort of Arcosian technology he could look at. And speaking of tech, Charlene was giddy with excitement. While Saiyans tended to focus on their own personal strength, Cipher knew that Arcosians were technologically advanced, despite their abilities. His daughter was going to have the time of her life here.
It wasn't long before the group came upon a large, rather important looking building. Leading them into a sitting room area, Algyd turned to the group. "Wait here please." She turned and left the room as they were getting comfortable. Porsalynne sat down on one of the comfortable chairs, while Charlene ran over to a window to see the view of the city. Latchkin had walked over to a screen on one of the walls, a personal terminal for some light reading. It wasn't long before Algyd returned. "Cipher 24, if you would come with me please? I'm afraid your guests will have to wait out here." Cipher nodded, glancing back at his family and associate before following the Arcosian into the next room.
The room was a rather impressive look office, decorated to show some sense of imperiality, but at the same time not overdoing it like some leaders did. Sitting behind a large desk, his back to a window, was a large, rather muscular arcosian, a pair of black horns arching up from his head. Looking up and seeing the android, the Arcosian smiled. "Ah, Cipher 24," He spoke up, his voice deep with a commanding presence in it, "So good you can come." He rose to his feet, easily standing twice as tall as Cipher and walked around the desk towards him, extending a hand, "I am Viceroy Sleet. As you may have already worked out, I'm the one in charge of this city, as well as the Fiefdom of Yardrat." Cipher reached up with one of his hands, his hand eclipsed by the Arcosian's as they shook hands. "I had heard a lot about Arcosian society from my superior. It's a pleasure to see it with my own eyes."
Sleet smiled before his expression fell slightly. "Indeed. It's a shame you came at such an inopportune time, what with the others all grabbing for power." His smile then returned. "However, now that the BBA is here, we can end this miserable war." Cipher gave a small nod, before it hit him. Sleet believed he was here to offer his assistance for HIM to win the war. Cipher's expression fell. "I'm afraid you might have mistaken my intentions." Sleet blinked. "Pardon?" Cipher nodded. "I am indeed here to put an end to the civil war. However, it doesn't really matter to me who wins. As long as the empire survives, it doesn't concern me who sits on the throne." The Arcosian was clearly baffled by this. "Cipher 24, with all due respect, I am the mot qualified to lead. If you want what's best for the Empire, then lend me your strength!" Cipher looked him straight in the eyes. "I have no doubt you're an excellent politician Sleet. However, as I said before, I am not here to-"
Ah, I see. You two are attracted to each other in a sexual manner typical of mammalian species. That is why Kaula's face glowed red when Bing was beneath her skirt. How curious."
Both men froze, staring at eachother wide eyed as the statement ringed not in their ears, but their minds. A telepathic message?. Cipher recognized the voice, and knew exactly who he was talking about. "Did...Did you just hear that?" Sleet spoke slowly. Cipher could only nod.
Thankfully, almost instantly after that, there was the sound of a loud explosion outside. Both men spun around and headed for the window, seeing smoke rising in the distance. Sleet turned to his desk, pressing a button by a small screen. "Algyd. Report!"
"Enemy forces are attacking the city sir!" came Algyd's panicked voice over the intercom. Cipher turned and quickly headed out the door. "I'll take care of this Viceroy," he said as he ran from the room.
