One step after another, moving forwards. (There's got to be some way out, somewhere! I can't give up yet. The environment keeps changing, so I'm making progress somewhere, so eventually I'll have to come across some sort of clue, Nova's wrong, there's got to be something! Just have to keep moving, step by step, pace by...wait a moment. Step?) For the first time in quite a while, at least by his best guess of time, Benetto stopped moving for a second, realizing that somehow he had already succeeded a step in his plan. His body was back, and in full condition! "Yes! One step closer! Now that I'm back to my old self, I can really step up the pace, maybe get a little training along the way, too. Let's see if the onis know anything now that I'm corporeal, huh?"
Benetto took a sharp turn to the left to a nearby building, an imposing looking place lined with massive panes of otherworldly glass, mirror-like, but the shapes dancing in them certainly didn't look like anything outside that would normally be reflected. Without even looking, the oni in front began to speak, "I'm sorry, new spirits aren't supposed to be allowed within the Hall of Mirrors, why not...wait, you're...Benetto, Benetto Giri, right? The higher ups have been trying to find you for days! Big event, you guys got wished back, haven't seen that in quite a long time." "I'm sorry, what? Wished back? You mean I'm already alive?"
"Yeah, pretty much. We've been trying to get ahold of you for a while now, but you've been impossible to reach. Couldn't have just stayed with the rest and just have enjoyed yourself in the meantime, could ya? Gotta make life difficult and all. Ah well, I'll get ya to where you need to go, just hold tight and...there."
Benetto found himself suddenly hurtling through the clouds, falling faster and faster. "Wait, no, I can't flyyyyyyyyy!" Below him, a small hemisphere appeared in the clouds below him, faster and faster until...*CRACK*. Benetto hit the ground hard, bounced, and rolled...almost off the edge! He quickly grabbed the edge of the hemisphere in time to catch himself, then scrambled back onto its surface, breathing heavily. "Aaaaaaah! What the heck...where is this? And my back, ooowwwww, why did he have to send me that fast, huh? Well...there doesn't look like an easy way down through those clouds...maybe this is still Otherworld? Whatever, I'm not doing that a second time, not right away." Benetto sprawled out onto the tiled surface, resting for a moment, having been very rapidly reacquainted with the sensations of having a body, most notably, pain.
