Vennel had arrived back on Vegeta moments ago, but with her power level lowered as it was, she figured she wouldn't attract too much attention. After all, the last thing she needed to do was, well, attract attention. Her scouter was allerting her to several incredibly high power levels, which she attributed very quickly to either Zucceta, or her current allies. At least, she hoped that were the case. At any rate, Vennel was in need of a resupply. Sure, her last stop in that free port was to repair her pod, but she needed a fresh set of armor, which was hopefully easily attainable. In fact, the there might be some sitting around in the military Barracks, or perhaps her spare was still in her old small apartment.
Walking through the busy streets, her hood drawn over her head, she couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness while doing it. It wasn't as though she were overcome with grief or anything of that sort, but that a once proud warrior like her was now reduced to skulking around the capital city. And it wasn't as though she didn't want to be found or identified, not truly. But she just returned to the home world, and noticed how vastly stronger some of the powers on the planet were, and she had almost no progress to show for her own time away. It frustrated her beyond measure. She just wasn't able to keep up with whatever means of training her people had been using.
As she navigated the city streets, she came upon the garrison that was located for the Saiyan Solar Empire's military. This was to be her first stop, it was closest to the space port, after all. She wouldn't have to break in either, far from it. She was their former queen, and she had been a soldier before then, so surely she should be able to easily gain access, right? But when she approached the gate, it didn't open up for her. That shouldn't be right, though. She had been gone a while sure, but surely she wouldn't have been removed from the active roster, would she? She tried stepping back, and then approaching the gate again to try and see if maybe there was a glitch. But sure enough, nothing happened the second time either. This is absurd, why wasn't she recognized as a member of the army any longer? But her thoughts were interrupted as she watched another Saiyan, probably a low class warrior, walk past her and stop and look at her for a moment.
"Uh, are you trying to get in?"
The boy asked, he couldn't have been much older than his adolescent years.
"That door is broken and out of order. We have to use the side entrance for now."
Her cheeks started to fill with blood as a blush overtook her. There wasn't some sort of outrage at hand, she was just misinformed.
"Right... of course. Thank you."
Nodding, the boy's eye brow arched as he continued on his path, leaving Vennel to her own devices. Taking his advice, she rounded the side of the barracks, and proceeded through the door as usual. Once inside, she began to check through the armory lockers, looking for any armor left behind or something comparable to what she was currently wearing, but her search proved fruitless. While it was kind of a shot in the dark, she hoped she could have saved time getting a new set of armor here in the barracks, but unfortunately there were none to be had. Although she did take notice there was a new wing added on, or at least, repurposed, since she'd last been there. A gravity chamber had been added to the barracks. Perhaps this was how her former peers had ascended to new heights so quickly in her absence. But she'd have to save that for later. Right now she wanted to resupply herself, and resupply herself she would do.
So without further ado, she left the barracks and headed towards the Radittsu district, where her old apartment was located. Sure enough, it was still there, so naturally, Vennel headed inside. The run-down apartment was far from glamorous, but she was never one for such a life style. She was more about utility, than presentation. And her dusty old room was a testament to that if nothing else. Rummaging through her things, she found a suit of armor, not the same quality she had been wearing before, perhaps an earlier model by the looks of it, but it definitely harkened back to her soldiering days. But that was enough reminiscing for now, she figured. She'd attained herself a suit of armor that was at least all in one piece, discarding her tattered remains of the old one. She found no further reason to delay any further, and decided she'd head down to the local general store, to attain some rations for her next foray out into the universe. And perhaps she'd see if she couldn't catch up on some current affairs while she was at it.
Leaving her apartment, she headed back out into the city, this time toward a general store, to see what she could find...
