[Thread PL: 16,154]The Stubby Tailed and Floppy Eared Hero meets a Corncob Or Chili almost gets Trapped in a Shotgun Wedding
Pellets of lead flew over top of Chili's head as he sprinted across the open field of rolling lush grass. His feet kicked up dust and dirt as he plodded through the blades of green panting and puffing for breath. A large round bellied farmer chasing after him armed with a shotgun as he fired yet another blast from it. Chili shrieked and lept his short body into the air as the spray of bullets dashed under his spread legs. " Get back here you varmint! Take responsibility for getting my little angel pregnant! You're going to marry her or else boy!" cursed the rotund farmer as he bounced on his heels. Spinning his head around Chili shouted at the farmer " Listen you hick! I told you before, I am not marrying anyone! I'll tell you a few reasons why. One, I am thirteen! Two, I am not sure what 'Pregnant' even is! And third, and this is very important.." he huffed out as his breath was ragged " She's the ugliest thing this side of the equator!!" The young dog boy stuck out his fat tongue and blew a raspberry at the man. Another blast of pellets rang out in the air as the chase lead into another farm full of high fruit yielding bushes. The dog managing to break away from his pursuer at this point and hide behind one of the various fertile plants. Anxiety gripped him as he expected a cold metal barrel to be shoved into his snout at any second. Footsteps settled in dirt danced around his ears as the farmer searched high and low for the dastardly dog. Music elated through the young Zoan's head as he heard a lovely " Dang nabbit!" and the stamp of a foot. He seemed to be giving up on the dog and his forced marriage. Letting out a sigh as he watched the gun toting man walk off. Leaping the fence the young dog went the other direction as fast as he could. His legs feeling rather like jelly and sore from the marathon for his own life. Chili would happen upon a plentiful cool river, one he would collapse almost into. Removing his hat and sticking his head into the chilled waters. Swirling around and sucking up a big gulp of the drink before falling back on his rump and sitting there. Water droplets rolled down his cheeks as he looked up at the sun and blinked a few times. " What a day..." he murmured.

(Thread PL: 34.740 | Heavy Weights On | PL: 8.685)
“It is so peaceful in these days.. it isn’t that bad even if I wouldn’t mind a good fight right now..” - he thought. Those were the Saiyan’s thoughts that day, he flew around the Spinach Wastes in mild curiosity. He had wandered about the area when he was a child but it didn’t seem like anything special, there were quite a few farms, that was all. At least that’s what he thought, he was not that interested in those lands. He simply had a desire to see if anything had changed, but nothing was that different.
Everything seemed quiet but the Saiyan raised a brow as soon as heard the sound of a gunshot. He glanced around, trying to take note of anything that seemed unusual. "What the.. it might be some kind of conflict." - he said to himself. He tried to locate the source of the gunshot, but not too much later he noticed a small dog. “He seems to be in a rush..” - he thought to himself, narrowing his eyes lightly.
He decided to descend down, as silent as possible, next to Chili. “Hey kid, doing well?” - he asked, looking at the dog curiously.

Chili snapped his head around and did a double take as there was suddenly someone standing right next to him! He lept up off his tucus into the air and away from the sneaky stranger. Clenching his paw to his chest, looking over his visitor. His breath ragged all over again. "Oh man you're not part of that farmer's family are you? I told you guys I don't even know his daughter, I'm telling the truth."
He kept his distance as he observed this man's appearance. He certainly didn't look like a farmer to the young Zoan. Heck he seemed to be have a body sculpted out of stone, even if he was a farmer he was a strong one. His eyebrow peaked as he posed him a question "Actually... where did you come from? I didn't see anyone around when I was running for my life..."

The Saiyan narrowed his eyes lightly as he looked at the young dog, was he that spooky? With that, it was twice in a row that he scared someone. “Is there something wrong with how I look? I have not changed at all since.. ever?” - he said to himself, quirking his eyebrow slightly. Though, it seemed to be a huge misunderstanding, or at least he was not part of any farmer’s family.
The kid didn’t really seem like a threat, so he had nothing to worry about, unless he had some kind of special technique but it didn’t seem like the case. “He doesn’t really look like a fighter and I doubt he’d be afraid of a farmer. Suppose he has some business with the guy.. and his daughter, I guess. What could a child possibly do? Steal her lunch box?” - he thought.
“I am no farmer, kid. I was flying around here and heard a gunshot or two. What were you running away from? It seems serious by your reaction though.” - he asked.

Chili rested his paws on his knees and bent over letting out a relieved sigh. "Oh thank goodness, I was worried they found me again" said the young boy. He lifted his torso back up and rested his hands on his hips. "Yeah uh, the gunshots were what I was running from actually. That farmer was trying to shoot me" he looked away for a moment and forced a grin "Had a bit of a misunderstanding with them... nothing big."
He stretched out his short legs "He almost got me a few times with that gun but I think I got away without a scratch." Chili then looked up at this big guy's face and then nodded his head and gave a real grin this time. Sticking his arm up and outwards, his paw open. "Oh and I'm Chili, Chili Pepper. It's nice to meet you, and you are?"

The Saiyan looked at the dog curiously, was this kid wanted by this farmer? Well, at least he seemed much relieved to hear the man’s words. “Oh.. I see. What kind of misunderstanding though? If you need help with that guy, just in case he tried to shoot you again, I can take care of him.” - he told him, offering a reassuring nod. The kid didn’t seem that much of a fighter, but there were also normal people on the planet, not everyone was a warrior.
The Saiyan had met someone like him, but she wasn't exactly a dog like him, and she was much older than Chili. "I suppose they are defined earthlings here.." - he thought to himself.
“Nice to meet you, kid. You can call me Cornatto. Well, as long as you are fine, I suppose it’s okay but if you want me to reason with the guy, I told you, I can do it. It’s up to you really.” - he told him, offering a faint smile as he looked at Chili’s grin.

Chili shook his head and waved away that idea before looking back up at the guy. "No no no, no really that's okay. I mean you look like... well uh." Chili flexed his arms and puffed out his chest and then let out a big breath of air. "Ya know what I mean? Besides I really don't think this guy is the reasoning type." Now getting that out of the way Chili turned to look back at the fields. "Besides I don't think I'll be seeing him again if I can help it. I'm just passing through."
The young Zoan turned back to the big guy. "I'm training. But I think you know something about that. You look like a fighter!" He hunkered down and put up his dukes. "I'm one too! But I'm still not done yet, so I'm out here trying to find...." He stopped for a moment. "Hold on how did he phrase it?"
Chili took a few steps away and then back and nodded his head sagely before raising both of his paws in the air and making quotation marks. "Answers to questions that I haven't asked yet." The pup looked back up at Cornatto. "But I Thank you for offering Mr. Cornatto."

The Saiyan tilted his head lightly as he watched the kid flexing his arms. “Uhm.. you mean I look like a strong guy or something like that?” - he asked and placed a hand behind his own neck.
“Well, as you wish then. I can just suggest you to stay away from this area then.” - he told him. Cornatto cracked a smile as the Zoan spoke, it was good to see a kid with such aspirations, there were not many like him. “Sure I am. I was born a fighter. I suppose it’s quite obvious though, I don’t exactly look like a normal person after all.” - he said.
He raised a brow and crossed his arms, what kind of answers was he looking for? Perhaps he was being trained by someone. “I see.. you can ask me anything if you want.” - he told him.

Chili smiled and looked up at the big man. "Well that's the problem I don't know any of the questions. So here I am looking for those I guess?" Shrugging his shoulders the dog stepped around Cornatto. "Anyway where are you heading? You said you were flying, which is really cool by the way. I'm still trying to get the hang of that." Chili jumped back in front of him. "But where to? To thrash some bad guys?" Chili kicked his boot against the ground "Course that's really none of my business."
Chili stepped back over to the river and dipper his boot tip into the running water ever so slightly. His tail wagging behind him as he looks up at the sky. "I'm just looking for the next place to go really. Usually it's just where my feet take me."

The Saiyan let out a chuckle and offered a nod. He had no idea about what kind of questions he was looking for, but it seemed to be a serious thing for him, which was good. “Actually, if I try to sense his energy.. it is stronger than an average kid’s. He is definitely on a good path then, he should just work on his raw strength then.” - he thought to himself.
“Oh, well.. I wasn’t really going anywhere actually. I was taking a look around. And no, actually no bad guys seem to be around at the moment.. which is a good thing if you think about it.” - he said. He knew it would have been some good fun to have a real fight, but after all peaceful times were for the greater good of the earthlings. While he was not in that kind of life, it didn't mean others had to suffer.
“Well, exploration is good. I suggest you to train as you go look around, I am sure you can become strong if you keep going.” - he told him.

Chili nodded his head eagerly "Oh yeah of course! It's the only thing I can do." He looked down at his paw stretching out his furred digits. "I'm pretty close to getting that Ki stuff down actually." He send a wink Cornatto's way "I might be flying next time you run into me" said the dog teasingly.
Chili peered around "I should probably get outta this area in case that farmer is still snooping around. I'd prefer not to see that shot gun again."

The Saiyan looked at the Zoan curiously, he seemed eager for sure, but was he good enough to become a fighter? Anyone could become one, but not everyone could be a strong one. But it didn’t matter that much, after all the kid seemed to still have a long way to go and it was pointless to think about such things when he was only at the beginning.
The Saiyan walked towards the river and kneeled down, dipping his head as he took a few sips. He let out a sigh, it was definitely refreshing but he was not there to drink some water.
"I'd really go check out the other side of the lands, though.. I think I have some time, might use it to find out how strong he is." - he thought to himself.
“You shouldn’t really worry about this farmer, after all I am here for now. Anyway, what about you show me what you can do? Just a friendly spar.” - he asked as soon as he stood up.

Chili gasped happily and jumped into fighting stance already. "You got it!" he said with eagerness before stopping for a second. "Oh but maybe lets move more into the field, I don't want to fall in the river."
The pup scampered through the tall grass and stopped at the dome of a hill, an open spot for the spar with nothing to obstruct them. Chili lifted an arm above his head and stretched it out, readjusting his cap, and then turning back to Cornatto. "Okay I think I'm good now."
His tail wagging as he resumed a stance and one of his paws pointing skyward, digits unfurled ready to chop, the other arm curled to his side. A look of determination on his face. "Ready?" he asked the taller Saiyan.

The Saiyan looked between Chili and the river for a brief moment and offered a nod, perhaps the dog was not that fond of water. Cornatto had no issues with relocating and just followed him. "Well, now that I think about it.. perhaps he doesn't really like water. I mean, he's technically a dog.. of some sorts." - he thought.
Cornatto smirked slightly and shifted his gaze upon the kid, he didn’t expect this to be that much of a fight but he didn’t mind to liven up the day a little bit, perhaps he could teach the kid a thing or two. "Anyway, I suggest you to find a much more suitable attire for fighting. Like mine or even some kind of armour if you like those." - he told him. He didn't personally like any kind of armour or accessories, he preferred to feel light and free during a fight.
The Saiyan let out a chuckle and offered a bow of his head. “I’m ready.” - he said and extended a hand towards him, gesturing Chili to attack him. He didn’t assume any fighting stance, he just waited for the Zoan to begin the spar.

Chili raised some quizzical eyebrows and looked down at his red attire. He found it very fashionable and rather easy for him to move around at least. "Oh... I mean it doesn't usually get in the way" he said as he dug a foot into the soil. "It's kinda special to me, but thanks for the advice mister."
He watched corn stand there, blinking for a moment as he realized he wasn't going to be getting into a stance. Focusing again he charged at the taller opponent. His small form close to the ground as he ran across it, leaping up as he got close and spinning through the air a blur of red.
His leg stretched out aiming a kick at Cornetto's left side of his head
