NOTES: Heavy Weights ON, x20 Gravity. PL -- 83,026 The discussion with Koldar and Abzerute was still fresh on Beryl's mind, and he never would've thought that he'd be helping with the revival and reconstruction of the Arcosian Empire. Ever since he had heard about the so-called "Frost Demons", Beryl feared them and for good reason. Their track record wasn't the greatest, considering the PTO had wreaked so much havoc in the past, and even without the PTO, the Arcosians were still labeled as fierce, cold-hearted killers and tyrants, beings who lived only to please themselves without any regard to anyone or anything around them. Did Beryl believe this to be true? Now, he wasn't so certain. He didn't believe all Arcosians were like that; after all, he had met one, Gleciar, who actually seemed rather personable in comparison to the typical Arcosian. Abzerute? Beryl was still terrified of him, even if he was stronger than the bronze-plated Changeling. It would only be a matter of time before Abzerute caught up to Beryl in power, and that worried Beryl greatly. It was part of the reason why he had been training so obsessively lately, that and to make sure that he was powerful enough to make sure neither Koldar nor Abzerute would be able to manipulate him if they ever got the desire to. So far, both Arcosians' intentions didn't point towards using Beryl as a tool, a pawn, an underling, a minion, but Beryl could never be too careful whenever he was dealing with Arcosians. Currently, Beryl was in the gravity training simulation room on his luxurious spaceship. With PDA in hand, the dark-skinned human browsed the galactic internet, currently looking up hilarious videos of hooligans pranking innocent bystanders. Beryl kept his communications line open in case anybody needed to get in contact with him, but since he had already spoken to the engineers about his ship modifications, Beryl wasn't expecting calls from anyone in particular. It was nice to be able to relax for a change. Abzerute Koldar Frost

(I'll gladly take this up! In Suppressed form once more.) Koldar had been spending quite a bit of time in the town, trying to figure out what exactly to do next. He suggested to Beryl and Abzerute to go to Beryl's place of operation and find out where exactly to go with this. The rustic town, was soothing for a traveller, didn't strike Koldar as a place he can call 'home base' for the time being. To Koldar, 'home base' was an area where it was secure with guns, artillery against space strikes, plenty of ships, training grounds, and many labs and factories that can move quickly. In essence, a mobile main operating base ship. The PTO had taken some of the Arcosian ideals. "I'd best get moving to Beryl's location," the captain figured, having had been out on the street, sightseeing for a bit. He tapped the scouter's command to scan for the power levels on a global scale. Many different ones popped up, having the Arosian to turn a dial on his scouter to adjust for higher power levels. He increased it to the point it would read ten thousand or higher. A couple popped up around the planet, but of them, the captain could recognize the dysfunctional amount to being Beryl's. He smirked, as he rocketed upwards and shot towards the power level. It took him a few minutes, racing over a vast tundra and beady forest to reach a sizable machine. Koldar landed on the ground, placing one hand on his hip as he fiddled with scouter in the other. He proceeded to mutter, in increasing frustration, "No... No... Not that one..! No..! For Kold's sake, go to transmissi- There we are," calming down as he reached the setting. He turned the dial back and forth, jumping between frequencies. As he did this, he called out, "This is Captain Koldar. Beryl, if you are reaching this, I believe I am outside your spacecraft. Do you copy?"(Alright, there we are! Beryl Roarke, Abzerute)

PL: 13,847 Heavy Weights: ON Suppressed Form: Active
The bronze Arcosian decided that now would be an ideal time to utilise the dark skinned human scientist's Gravity Chamber once more. He still had yet to procure the funds to get his own model, and did not wish to fall behind in his training regimen. That, and he wanted to see the look on the human's face at the surge in his power level since their last encounter with Captain Koldar. Speaking of, he could make out the form of the aforementioned Arcosian right now next to Beryl's ship. Curious.
"Greetings Captain, was wondering when we would next meet up." Abzerute called down to the military man, floating down to ground level to stand beside him. He looked at Beryl's ship then back to the Captain. "How have things been progressing with your forces? Managed to scoop up any more recruits?" he inquired, tapping his Scouter to let the human scientist inside know that he had arrived as well. No sense in clogging up the communications network with two transmission lines trying to reach the same location.

NOTES: Heavy Weights ON, x20 Gravity. The videos only kept Beryl’s attention for so long. As soon as Koldar and Abzerute neared the landed spacecraft, Beryl’s head shot up, and the dark-skinned human looked in the direction the two Arcosians were coming from. Unlike before, where he wouldn’t even notice ki signatures around him, Beryl was now able to sense powers on a planetary scale. One of the powers Beryl immediately identified as Koldar’s, knowing that the Captain was a step above the usual combat capable inhabitants of Aoi Brenchia, but still many times weaker than Beryl. Beryl probably guessed that the Captain had taken a little bit too much time off with his training; that wasn’t anything some good, old-fashioned gravity-enhanced sparring sessions couldn’t fix. While Beryl was still wary about Koldar, he wasn’t as scared as Koldar bypassing him in strength than he was as Abzerute passing him up. That didn’t mean Beryl wasn’t frightened of Koldar; he still was, just not as much as Abzerute. The second power was different. Beryl didn’t recognize it at first, and it took a moment for Beryl to figure out who it belonged to. However, once he did, his dark, earthy brown eyes grew wide. “Is that … Abzerute? No way!” Although Abzerute did train under gravity’s influence, Beryl was not expecting for the Arcosian’s power to make such a considerable jump! The progress Abzerute was making scared the shit out of Beryl, and while the poor human was busy trying to get his nerves under his control, Koldar’s deep voice suddenly boomed out of the intercom installed in the gravity simulation room’s ceiling. With a high-pitched yelp, Beryl nearly flopped out of his seat, his PDA clacking harmlessly against the padded flooring. “K-Koldar?” Beryl called out; the intercom system was a two-way communications line, meaning that Koldar would be able to hear the Earthling’s responses. “Yeah, you two are outside of my ship.” There was a brief pause. “Here, I’ll open the entrance. Once you’re inside, just keep forward; take the stairs down to the lower level of the ship and then take a left. The gravity simulation room is the room with the large set of automatic double doors. It’s also labeled too, as with the rest of the rooms. Maps are posted up all over the place in case you get lost.” The luxurious ship’s entrance opened with a loud hiss. With that, Koldar and Abzerute would be granted access into the spacecraft’s interior. It was very well made and meticulously clean with a particular modern design, obviously Earthling inspired. It wasn’t the largest type of ship out there, but it was still pretty damn huge when compared to the average spaceship. Whenever Koldar and Abzerute reached the gravity simulation room, the double doors would open with an automatic whirr. The simulation room was large and spacious, granting plenty of room, both horizontally and vertically, for its users to train in whatever manner they so choose. The flooring was padded for added safety, and the walls were tampered with shielding units to defuse any wayward ki blasts and what not. However, they wouldn’t protect against EVERYTHING, but it was mostly to prevent the whole ship from being blown up from ONE ki blast. Near the back of the simulation room was a small resting area, and that was where Beryl was seated. He had on his usual attire: sweatpants, a T-shirt and sneakers. This time, for his head accessory, he had on a baseball cap, turned backwards. “Hey, you two,” Beryl greeted, lifting a hand to wave casually at the pair of Arcosian warriors. “Yeah, uh – welcome to the gravity simulation room, Koldar. This is where I’ve been spending most of my time lately.” While Beryl spoke to Koldar, he kept looking over at Abzerute. The human was trying to be as subtle as possible, but Abzerute would be able to notice that Beryl was staring at him, and the staring would only get more intense the closer Abzerute got to Beryl. If Abzerute got close enough to stand directly in front of Beryl, a drop of sweat would bead on the human’s forehead before slowly sliding down the length of his face. “So, um, what’s up?” Beryl asked, doing his best to keep his nerves under control. Koldar was not alone soon enough, with Abzerute arriving at his location immediately. He asked how things were going with acquiring more forces since the last time they met. The captain sighed, explaining, "Well... After headed out of the bar, I tried to acquire a few sources on people I could meet up with and negotiate with, despite our current standings with one another. The result wasn't positive, on my understanding. Afterwards, I tried to gather a few more soldiers, or even workers for the matter of repairing the Frostar... The expenses are higher than they were back in my younger days, it seems. Not to mention, there's the whole matter of getting the resources for constructing transceivers and weapons for those currently in my battalion. Restoring an army back to their maximum potential is difficult and a lengthy process to say at the least."
Beryl's voice appeared on an intercom on the ship, acknowledging the two of them being outside the ship. A paused followed suit for a moment, to which Koldar asked, "Everything alright?"
Beryl then proceeded to give directions, as a hatch opened up, with a staircase for the two of them to use, to get to where he was. Koldar looked at Abzerute, shrugged, and made his way into the ship. To Koldar's standards, the ship was cramped, but held an air of luxury. A hologram room, with what appeared to be a gravitational adjuster in the middle of it caught Koldar's attention, as he asked Abzerute, "How're things on your end, Abzerute? Have you come across anything that can be important to the cause the last time we met?"
Beryl soon came into view in a resting area, whom proceeded wave at the two of them. Koldar proceeded to give Beryl a laxed salute. Beryl explained the room as being where he spent most of his time as of late. Koldar put his hands on his hips, as he replied, "Indeed, it appears that way. It looks as though you've boosted your power substantially since the last time!"
Koldar noticed Beryl was staring intensely at Abzerute, immediately beckoning Koldar to ask, "What's with the starring, Beryl? Did the two of you get into a tussle since the last time we met?"
(Quick clarification on the location we're in: Are you in the chamber or are you outside it?)

The bronze Arcosian couldn't help but smirk as he heard Beryl speak over the communications link, his words barely containing his feelings. He listened to Koldar's report before shrugging. "Perhaps you're trying to achieve too much at once. I'd focus on the ship first, then once that's done work on the weapons and transceivers. That way, in theory at least, recruits will see a stronger force and be more willing to sign up for it." he suggested before he gave his own report as they walked through Beryl's ship. "I think so... it's taken some time but I believe I've found something that relates to the "Tree Of Might" the Saiyans used on Arcose. Unfortunately, the text is located on Earth somewhere." he sighed, shaking his head. "Personally, I'm loathe to go near that world when our own is still not fully repaired... that and I doubt I'd have enough fuel in my pod for a return trip. Sure we can survive in the vacuum of space... but the amount of time it would take to get back from Earth to Arcosian space without technological aid... no thanks." he remarked as they went into the Gravity Chamber where Beryl was awaiting them. Almost immediately he could feel the effects of the increased gravity around them, much stronger than it had been last time. The bronze Arcosian caught the human staring at him, and decided to have a little bit of entertainment. He slowly made his way over towards the dark skinned human, his eyes never leaving his own until they were within a few feet of each other. He had to try his hardest not to burst into laughter at the sight of the sweat dripping down Beryl's face. This human, who's power dwarfed his own... was afraid of him. He leaned forward slowly, letting the shadows slowly encompass him before he uttered a single word. "Boo." Childish yes, but it was purely to see how jittery the human was around his current strength. No matter the reaction, the bronze Arcosian would burst into chuckles. "I believe he was staring Koldar, because the last time he'd seen me, my power level was much lower than it currently is. Almost four times as low. And that was from just training under ten times Earth's gravity." he remarked, omitting the extra training he'd done for himself since that encounter. He looked towards the machines console, nodding to himself as he read the situation. "Right now, we're under twenty times Earth's gravity. Think he was trying to calculate how much more of an increase in power I would achieve from this session." smirked Abzerute, thoroughly enjoying himself right now in this moment in time. It wasn't every day that you got to make someone vastly stronger than yourself nearly wet themselves in terror. ( Beryl Roarke Koldar Frost )

Koldar’s compliment eased Beryl’s nerves slightly, enough to elicit a response from the researcher. “Thanks. I’ve been training as hard as I can lately. I—“ Beryl stopped mid-sentence, earth-toned eyes snapping back towards the now approaching Abzerute. The closer Abzerute got, the more nervous Beryl became. The constant eye contact was horrifying; the red of Abzerute’s irises drilled into Beryl’s dark-brown, filling Beryl’s mind with nightmarish images of Abzerute obtaining extreme amounts of power, his form morphing and twisting into a gargantuan version of himself. In these images, no one was around except for Abzerute and Beryl, and Beryl was absolutely defenseless as Abzerute began to beat and tear every bit of life out of him. Although the two were technically allies, Beryl couldn’t help but sense a rivalry boiling between Abzerute and him. Arcosians were naturally competitive, at least that’s what Beryl surmised, and Abzerute seemed to be extremely determined to increase his power. Beryl had a feeling it wasn’t purely for destroying the Saiyan Empire or restoring the Arcosian Empire either. Now, Aberzute was basically standing in front of Beryl. The dark-skinned human held his breath as the bronze-plated Changeling leaned towards him, the red-eyed Arcosian’s shadow swallowing up his form. Then, Abzerute said just one word, and it was enough for Beryl to jolt slightly in his seat. Abzerute’s explanation of Beryl’s fear wasn’t wrong; although Beryl was still several times stronger than Abzerute, Beryl was thinking ahead. He did not expect for Abzerute to nearly quadruple his power from just ONE training session! Beryl was certain that the gains wouldn’t be as dramatic as Abzerute accumulated more power, but it was still a frightening sign that the sunburnt frost demon had every potential to increase his strength rapidly, enough to where he would catch up to Beryl in little time at all. So, Beryl’s fear wasn’t entirely irrational. “N-No, I wasn’t thinking about that. I just— I just have a lot on my mind; that’s all,” Beryl fibbed, responding to Abzerute in particular. “ Besides, I’ve been expecting you two, especially you, Abzerute. I figured that I might as well get the gravity machine ready.” Breathing slowly, the twenty-three year old rose from his seat. “Have you ever trained under increased gravity, Koldar?” Beryl asked as he motioned towards the advanced gravity machine positioned in the room’s center. “If you haven’t, you should really try it out; it’s a very effective method of training. Abzerute can attest to that.” Beryl side-eyed his rival before continuing. “Anyways, this particular machine can reach up to one hundred and twenty times Earth’s or normal gravity. I’ve actually gotten to the point where I can train under the maximum amount of gravity this machine can simulate. I’ve been working on getting a new gravity machine, one that would be able to simulate up to one hundred and fifty times Earth’s gravity. The only thing is that I would have to get an entirely new ship, a much bigger ship than this one. The good news is that I think I’ve almost scrounged up enough money to pay for all of the upgrades. Like I told Abzerute, you’re free to use the gravity machine as much as you like. Just … let me know whenever you want to use it.”With the explanation done, Beryl walked over towards the gravity machine and looked over its settings to make sure everything was alright. The increased gravity appeared to have no effect on Beryl whatsoever; seems like he wasn’t lying about being able to tolerate much higher levels of gravity than the norm. “… You want to spar, right Abzerute?” Beryl inquired, now regarding the Arcosian with a challenging stare. If it were just Abzerute, then things would be like before. However, Koldar was here too, and Beryl didn’t want to just shove him off to the side. “What about you, Koldar? If you want, we could all just spar at once. Sure, it’s uneven, but it’ll help with learning how to fight whenever you’re double-teamed or outnumbered.” There was a pause. “I mean, I’m sure there’s still a lot to talk about, but I did really want to get some training in.”OOC -- Beryl's inside the gravity simulation chamber! "Ah, so you are anxious. There's no real need to be so. As you can see, Abzerute's power hasn't ch-"[/font]
Koldar was interrupted, with his statement being said that he was wrong. It painted the captain curious, to say the least. Abzerute claimed his power level to be reduced heavily by the weights that Koldar didn't really notice until then. Rather than having the scouter blown up, Koldar simply stated, "I see. It seems this old timer needs to catch up... But one step at a time though. Immediately hitting double Vegeta's gravity would be way too much strain on me. Even half of I speculate is enough to hinder me, so instead of joining the two of you in this immense gravity, I'll stand out here and give the both of you pointers. Is there an enclave that I can use to overlook the room and you two? Also, if we are to be allies, the Frostar will be appropriate enough to install the gravity chamber. My soldiers and I have to keep relative to the ground somehow, after all, and with the right funding and knowledge, we can make this effort a lot easier. Observing your bout would undoubtedly allow me to give you speculative ideas on what materials to make use of, as well as additional tech to make sure the room doesn't rip into a gravity well. There's some very interesting stories you can acquire now these days..."
To be honest, Koldar was simplifying his answer to Beryl's questions, since they were very much relatable and easy to speculate.

Abzerute smirked as the dark skinned human lied through the skin of his teeth, watching him as he made his way to check on the Gravity Chambers control device. He listened to both the human and Koldar speak, in particular the fact that the military Arcosian hadn't trained in Vegeta's gravity as of yet. The man was going to offer pointers and tips instead whilst he watched from somewhere else in the ship. "Well then, we'd best get started then." said the bronze Arcosian as he cracked his knuckles, mainly for dramatic effect. Was he taking far too much pleasure in the terror he was inducing in the human? Quite possibly yes. But he was still aware that the human far outstripped him in terms of their power... at least, whilst he was in his Suppressed Form.
He could in theory force this spar into something more equal by advancing into his True Form... but then that would dampen any power increases he'd get from training in his Suppressed Form, even with the weighted armour on within a gravitational field that was twice as strong to what he was used to. On the other hand, he'd need to wait for the human to suppress his own power to level out with his own before the sparring could begin. Even with the fear he instilled within Beryl, the fact that he could determine the pace of the match still rankled the bronze Arcosian somewhat.
So whilst he waited for Beryl to make his move, Abzerute began to stretch his body, going through the motions of exercise, testing out his limitations under this increased gravity. His body felt heavier, it felt slower. Those were things he would need to take into consideration for this match. Already a plan was formulating in his mind as to how it would proceed, assuming of course that the human scientist hadn't expanded upon his repertoire of techniques since last they'd met.

Koldar wasn’t joining the fight, but it was for very good reasons. Jumping too quickly into gravity training could easily be disastrous; intense gravity was truly unforgiving, and it was very possible for someone to literally be flattened into a pancake if he or she couldn’t handle the force of heightened gravity on his or her body. So, Koldar decided that he would instead speculate the sparring match from a safe area. “Oh. Yeah, there’s a place specifically for that. You see the elevator to the left? You can take that up to the observation deck right up there.” Beryl pointed towards a medium-sized viewing port, protected with specialized glass. Inside were tables and chairs, along with a random assortment of accommodations. “From there, you won’t be under the effects of the gravity machine. Also, I’m fine with using your ship in order to install the gravity chamber, Koldar, though I still might keep one of my own for my own use. I don’t know; we’ll figure all out of that stuff out soon. As for now, I think Abzerute’s eager to whoop my ass.”
Beryl heard the foreboding sound of knuckles cracking. He side-eyed the sun-scorched Arcosian and turned to face them directly. Was Beryl still scared? Of course he was, but that didn’t mean that he was going to back down. As Abzerute busied himself with stretches, Beryl pulled down on his backwards, black baseball cap, making sure that it fit securely on his head. He stared at the Arcosian, looking at them from top to bottom. “You have many forms, don’t you? Are you ever going to use them?” Beryl inquired. His power level began to drop until it was roughly around the same as Abzerute’s. The training weights further dampened the Changeling’s power, and it was definitely difficult training under the influence of weights and intense gravity. However, the gains would only be amplified that much more, and that was what Beryl was worried about the most. The dark-skinned human brought up his fists in a solid boxer’s stance, his right foot and fist slightly in front of his left foot and left fist. He gave Abzerute a moment to ready himself before abruptly dashing forward, moving surprisingly quick despite his own weighted device and the heightened gravity. Once Beryl reached striking range, he jabbed towards the center of Abzerute’s face with his right hand before quickly swinging a left hook towards the Arcosian’s stomach. Another right jab shot towards Abzerute’s face before suddenly, a startlingly quick left cross shot towards Abzerute’s chest. However, there was something off about this particular punch; if Abzerute looked closely, it would look as if Beryl’s arm were covered in a faint, vibrational aura. If Abzerute were unfortunate enough to be struck by the punch, it would cut into him, possibly causing some sort of laceration. SUMMARY: SUPPRESSED PL TO 3,400. Threw right jab towards Abzerute’s face twice, left hook towards Abzerute’s stomach. Attempted to use Grass Cutter to cut Abzerute across the chest. LEARNING GRASS CUTTER N1.Technique Name: Grass Cutter N1 Description: Grass Cutter allows Beryl's physical strikes to deal piercing and cutting damage. It doesn’t matter if the strike is a punch, elbow, headbutt, kick, knee or anything in between; they all cut the same. This technique can allow Beryl to deliver frightening cuts and lacerations; if the blow is powerful enough, he can even lop off limbs or slice people in half with a single punch. This is a messy technique for sure, but it’s quite lethal as well. Deals 33% of PL in damage. Abzerute Koldar Frost

Beryl directed Koldar to the Observation deck. Captain Koldar nodded, and made his way to it. The elevator took him up the homely room, which had a nice view of the training room. As soon as he reached up there, they had quickly gotten to it. Koldar noted that Beryl lowered his power again, dropping below Koldar's own power, with the scouter registering that. Beryl proceeded to go into quick barrage of hits before taking an unorthodox stance as he sent a faintly empowered punch. The attack wasn't going to land, though. Beryl was fighting with a style that required his feet to be connected to something, so that he can generate the the power up from his foot all the way to his hand. What was happening here was that he wasn't translating that energy!
If it did hit, though, then the Captain would have to berate them both. Koldar proceeded to what looked like a 'medieval'-styled speaker on the wall to the right. He held the button, as he called out to Beryl, in particular, "Beryl, keep track of your footing. You're being too fancy with it and losing too much speed and power behind it! You're looking like a clown out there!"

Abzerute shrugged at the human's question concerning his forms. "Perhaps later on. But for now I feel that my Suppressed Form is enough, especially with this weighted armour on me." he said as he took up his familiar cross-guard defensive stance. With the weighted armour on him, his power level was three thousand, four hundred and sixty one according to his Scouter, the human's suppressing to match it within a one hundred point margin for error. The human began his rush, obviously moving faster than himself due to their comparitive familiarity with this increased gravity and those higher. A situation that the bronze Arcosian intended to rectify sooner rather than later. First came a strike towards his face. What was it with this human and hitting my face? the bronze Arcosian pondered briefly before adjusting his arms slightly to intercept the blow with his wrist plate armour. The human then tried a gut strike, to which the Arcosian answered by bringing his tail around to guard against that, hoping the spines on his tail at least managed to graze Beryl's fist as they collide. Offense whilst in defense. And then came another job towards his face... with the left trying to strike his chest which was alarmingly quick. He could detect a level of ki energy around the man's fist as well which had Abzerute concerned. Who knew what the human had been training himself to perform with his Ki energy... he certainly didn't and he wasn't going to take any chances with it. The bronze Arcosian grunted as he was forced to remove his cross-guard to try and intercept this strange attack of his, trying to push away the strike by colliding his right wrist with the humans left wrist. If successful, he'd then close his hand into a fist, except for the index and middle fingers, which were sticking out and placed together... with Ki gathering at their conjoined tip. "An interesting new technique... let me return the favour and show mine." smirked Abzerute before he would then swing his hand upwards in an arc from his right hip to his left shoulder, a Wave of crackling Ki energy being formed from the motion and hurling towards Beryl. SUMMARY: Made moves to block Beryl's jabs and hook, attempted to block Grass Cutter, followed up by firing a Death Wave at Beryl [N1] Death Wave: To use this, Abzerute puts his middle and index fingers together and charges energy at their tips. He then swings his fingers in an arc, creating a large Death Beam in the form of a razor-sharp energy blade that can slice through objects, terrain or even people. KP: 2/3 Beryl Roarke Koldar Frost

Why did Beryl always go for Abzerute’s face? Truth be told, Beryl did want to try and break Abzerute’s fancy scouter. Besides, it’d give Abzerute an incentive to learn how to sense ki through natural means. However, unlike last time, the bronze-colored Arcosian was familiar with the way Beryl fought. A simple shift of the arms blocked the first punch easily, and when Beryl attempted to smash Abzerute in the gut with his left fist, he was greeted with a spine-covered tail right than a wall of muscly bio armor. Beryl’s fist slammed into Abzerute’s tail with a loud thud. The spines sliced into the human’s flesh, causing hot pangs of pain to shoot up Beryl’s arm. It was obvious that it hurt, judging by how Beryl’s face contorted and twisted, but he coped with it surprisingly well, enough to continue through with his string of punches without much of a delay. The initial attacks were mainly methods to try and weaken Abzerute’s defenses; it was the Grass Cutter that Beryl really wanted to hit. He was confident that it was going to connect too, but he didn’t expect Abzerute to shift his guard so quickly. Beryl’s left fist screamed towards the red-eyed Changeling’s chest, the wind whistling from the speed of the strike. However, the punch was knocked off course as Abzerute smacked Beryl’s wrist, causing Beryl to be knocked slightly off balance. “?!” With a gasp, the ki researcher stumbled forward, earthy-brown eyes wide as he caught sight of Abzerute’s foreboding smirk. What Abzerute said didn’t help quell Beryl’s nerves, and once the human got a good look of the sharpened ki congregating around the Arcosian’s fingertips, he scrambled to regain his footing. The Death Wave came and Beryl threw himself to his right in a half-lunge, half-dive sort of maneuver. The slicing projectile careened past him, and with a few, quick, hasty steps, Beryl found himself a few meters away from Abzerute. A second or two passed before a medium-sized cut emerged on Beryl’s forehead. Blood slowly oozed from the wound, the red liquid sliding down the young man’s face. It dripped over his right eye, causing Beryl to close it with a grunt. His left fist also dripped blood, the punctures and cuts from Abzerute’s tail still fresh. Blood even decorated the spines on Abzerute’s tail as well. The spar had barely started, and blood had already been spilled. Koldar’s voice boomed from the intercom system. Beryl’s head shot upward as the Captain addressed him; a steady frown curled across the dark-skinned human’s lips. “I’m being … too fancy?” Beryl didn’t think he was, but observers generally noticed things that the participants didn’t. With the cuts on his forehead and left hand still bleeding, Beryl assumed his boxer’s stance once more. Koldar’s harsh criticism stung as harshly as the hurt that Abzerute had already dished out, but instead of dwelling on what had just happened, Beryl saw it best to take measures to prevent the same thing from happening again. Slowly, Beryl edged towards Abzerute, keeping his guard up the entire time. Once he got within striking range, Beryl didn’t throw any punches. Instead, he opted to wait for a moment or two, enough to make it a little bit harder (or not) for Abzerute to anticipate when he was going to attack. Then, it happened. Beryl threw a flurry of punches Abzerute’s way. Jabs, hooks, straights – there was no particular pattern or rhythm, but it wasn’t a brainless or wild assault either. Plus, there was something different about the punches as well, and Abzerute would figure that out very quickly if he were struck by one of them. From the looks of it, it seemed as though Beryl was trying to force Abzerute to trade blows with him or force him to focus purely on defense. Perhaps Beryl seeing his own blood had something to do with this. KP: [ 3 | 3 ] SUMMARY: Beryl gets cuts on his left fist from punching Abzerute's tail spines as well as a cut on his forehead from the Death Wave. He backs up, gets salty when Koldar calls him a scrub before attempting to force Abzerute to trade blows with him. LEARNING DEMORALIZE SU.Technique Name: DemoralizeSU Description: Being a straight physical fighter isn’t easy and comes with plenty of disadvantages. However, after learning how to perfect his unique fighting style, Beryl's physical strikes have become ... different. This passive ability causes all of Beryl's physical strikes and techniques to deal much more physical PAIN than they usually would. This doesn't affect the damage of his strikes at all however.

"That's correct," Koldar replied, observing Abzerute dish out some attacks in response to Beryl's novice movements Beryl, possibly in response to the Captain's talk, decided to try another, possibly new trick. His attacks appeared to become heavier, from what the Captain could tell. In the process, they appeared to get quicker... But, the same mistake was appearing that happened with his last heavy attack. Abzerute was going to have an advantage on this factor. His tail could serve as a third 'leg' for him to balance on, which meant he could easily take on the attacks coming at him.
Koldar, however, noted this factor Abzerute over the intercom rather than give Beryl a verbal punishment, as a physical one should yield better results, "Abzerute, he's shifting his weight into his legs too much for heavier punches. Challenge his upper body and use your tail to launch yourself at him!"
The captain released his hand from the intercom, so that the two of them could focus on their postures. Though he was far weaker, currently, in comparison to the two of them, the Captain had an eye for improving a person's fighting ability and breaking them. In this case, while he wasn't the fighter, he was going to 'break' Beryl's fighting style by guiding Abzerute into counters.
(Sorry on the wait guys!)

The bronze Arcosian watched as the human seemed to be erring on the side of caution this time, trying to consider what his next move would be. He's half-blind and one hand is slowly going out of commission. At this rate his boxer style of fighting will become more of a hindrance than an asset. Abzerute thought to himself before the dark-skinned human launched himself into a volley of punches, whether from Koldar's words or the sight of his own human blood, the Arcosian couldn't tell.
But there was something different to these blows as they rained down into him, making him take up a cross-stance guard once more against the onslaught. And these blows were actually starting to hurt, far more than the earlier attacks had ever done. He chuckled a little through the pain. "Arcosian society rubbing off on you perhaps with this technique?" he inquired of the human.
He heard Koldar's words and smirked behind his arms. Time to enjoy himself and give Beryl something to truly test his skill with. He focused his telekinetic powers to attempt an invisible blow to the man's gut, partially to try and wind Beryl, but also partially to attempt a momentary break in his attack. With that done, he decided to opt for the Captain's suggestion and used his tail as a springboard to propel him towards the human... but decided to go for a strike of his own that would potentially push this little match further into his favour.
Once he was launched towards Beryl, the bronze Arcosian would reach forward with his right hand, trying to press it against the dark-skinned humans face and prepared to fire a point-blank Ki blast. It wouldn't have enough power to blow his head off, no no, where would be the fun in that for a sparring match? No, his idea here was to finish what his earlier Death Wave had started, and temporarily blind the human for this sparring match.
If nothing else, it would be an interesting experience for the human to train blind against an Arcosian. There may or may not be a few burns here and there, but what was a little collateral when it came to becoming stronger hmm?
Once he'd fired off his Ki Blast, successful in his attempt or not to blind the human, he'd then try to follow it up with a left jab to the human's jaw, before then bringing his legs underneath himself to try and kick Beryl in the chest, partially also using him as a springboard to bounce back into a defensive position a meter or so away from the human.
KP: 1/3 Summary: Abzerute starts to weather the painful barrage, then uses Telekinesis to try and slam Beryl's gut, followed by tail launch to then try and blind Beryl with a normal ki blast to his face, followed by an attempted punch to his jaw, then attempted double kick in the chest to bounce away to a better position.
[SU] Telekinesis: Utilising the power of his mind, he can levitate objects or pin enemies down without touching them.
