Things were starting to get quite repetitive in hell. It was a new day once more and the young saiyan warrior Athren had found himself back in the groove with training. Once again he found himself suited up with his heavy training weights. This was a situation he had found himself in day in and day out. Then again, what else was there to do in hell? There wasn't much of anything to do. He had to make the best of his time, and what better way for a saiyan to kill time but train? Though things had gotten quite repetitive in hell, Athren had once again decided to try and make today different. He wasn't going to just sit about and shadow box or work out like a mad man. Today he had a goal in mind for a new technique, one that wasn't like anything else he had. At this point in time Athren wanted to understand and use invisible energy to aid himself in combat, on both a lethal and non lethal format. He figured he'd start with something as simple as a push of invisible Ki and work his way up to a massive explosive wave detonated by something as simple as lifting a finger. This way he could cause massive damage to not only a single opponent but to many and in the blink of an eye where none would expect an attack. It'd come in handy if he ever found himself in a situation like the day of his death back in West Capital. When it had come to then Athren did enjoy the fighting with the useless warriors sent out to invade the city but he would've had higher chances of life if they had all been wiped out in a single blast. Regardless, the past was the past. He couldn't change it, he could only learn from it and better his future from the lessons.
Once again Athren had picked a three stage plan of attack on these techniques. He'd start with a simple push of invisible energy and work his way up to a chain of smaller explosive waves. From there, Athren wanted to upgrade it once more to make one massive explosive wave that could wipe out an entire city if needed be. Of course, he'd hope it wouldn't be used for that but he'd rather have an emergency plan than nothing at all.
Taking a deep breath Athren glanced around the area. His attitude positive, his determination high and his will unbreakable. He intended to do this technique learning in base form. Though he wanted to master his super saiyan transformation he didn't need to strain himself with constantly pushing at it. It was a goal that wasn't overly far away, yet one he couldn't grasp quite yet. That would've been for another day though. As of right now the young saiyan needed to focus on the here and now, his current daily goal.
The time had finally come for Athren to begin his technique training. He refused to waste anymore time.
The sooner he learned it the quicker he'd evolve it into the next step.Currently he figured that step one wouldn't be overly difficult, it was a simple push of ki that was supposed to grant him distance from his opponent. Whether it push them back or break their bones, it would've been a useful technique. Getting started Athren finally lifted his right hand. He positioned it in front of him with his arm fully extended. His fingers were spread widely. His motivation was incredible, his attitude positive and indestructible. His goal was simple, yet a long way away. For a moment Athren focused his ki into his hand. Finally he pushed his hand forward and set off a push of energy. This is what he wanted. Though there was only one error. It was orange in colour and not invisible. Maybe that would be the tricky part of this, making it completely invisible to the naked eye.It was such a simple concept, yet there might have been a complicating twist. Who would've guessed?
Trying again the young saiyan had the same result, it still wasn't what he had wanted. He needed to figure out how to manipulate his ki so it wasn't visible, but yet he couldn't figure out how to do that. Maybe he needed to be completely calm. Completely focused with not an ounce of effort or thought into anything else.
He didn't know for sure, but he knew he needed to try. Refusing to give up Athren had spent hours at this. He didn't take any breaks and he began to get frustrated. He didn't understand how he wasn't capable of doing it. He was the first super saiyan in how many years yet he couldn't get this simple technique down? It really didn't make sense to him. He began to get frustrated, angry and annoyed. He put too much pressure on himself.
This wasn't something new though and it had finally clicked. His whole life he had always tried to be the best to prove all the people who called him weak wrong. He tried to prove that he wasn't any less of a saiyan because of few 'defects'. Just because he was born different didn't mean he was pathetic.
It was in this exact moment that Athren let it all go. He wasn't going to pressure himself anymore, he wasn't going to stress himself over his abilities. Sure, he wouldn't stop training and he'd still attempt to reach completely new heights but not for the same reasons that he did before. Instead of trying to prove everyone wrong, he'd do it to prove himself right. He'd do it for those who couldn't do it, he'd do it for all the helpless ones that had no control whether they lived or died in the face of invasion. With this new change in his mindset, Athren unleashed his Nova Press technique flawlessly. With his newest success, he couldn't help but get a faint smile on his face.

Stage One Learned
Now that a weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he succeeded with his first step of his technique it was time to move onto the next stage.
He figured this one would be slightly more difficult and time consuming but he was positive that'd he'd manage to pull it off in a realistic amount of time. He was quite talented after all.
The challenging part was going to be keeping the energy invisible and now setting off small explosive waves. Once he got comfortable setting one off he'd connect a handful of them together to create a large line up of destruction. This would insure that he'd make a dent in an army in a West Capital invasion scenario.
He had been there and done that and he didn't really want to be there again without a trick or two up his sleeve.Getting started with stage two Athren had decided to go about using the same concept for the first stage.
He wanted to remain completely calm, settled and at peace to pull this off. His previous negative thoughts hopefully going to be something that wouldn't effect him anymore. He'd look at his future instead of his past, he'd make the best of what he can be and the best of what he is.
For this one Athren had figured he'd be best off in the air. From their he can unleash it downwards towards the surface of hell. From there he could also see how it launched, how it connects and how it detonates. He figured he could tweak it as he went. That way it would suit him just right and he'd get it done right the first go around. He wouldn't have to play with this technique to improve it later.
Finally, Athren raised himself into the air. When he reached a suitable height he stopped and took a look around. His ocean blue eyes scanned the area to insure that nobody else had been around. Last thing he wanted was for somebody to get caught up in the blast, even though he didn't know what would happen. If they're dead, they couldn't die again. Right?
At this very moment Athren brought his right hand over to his left side. He left two fingers pointed out and began to gather energy for his attack. He breathed slowly and calmly. His mindset was peaceful yet motivated. He pictured his goal in detail and visualized his success.
Being ready Athren swiped his right hand from his left side all the way across to his right. During this he unleashed the energy at the point of impact. It was instant and quick, the landscape in which Athren had targeted had lit up with a smaller orange explosive wave. It wasn't continuous and it wasn't what he had planned but he had a start.
On his first go he managed to set off an explosive wave on command without any visible energy being fired towards location. It was a quick and a quiet execution that ending with a boom. There was no delay and it appeared to look good from where he was floating.
Now that he managed to pull off the basics of the technique he had to move it forward. He needed to make a chain of them that spread across a large portion of the environment or at least as far as he wanted. Without taking a break Athren's right arm came back over to his left side. Two of his fingers were extended once again. He began to charge his energy once more. He was patient. He gave himself more than enough time to gather enough energy to perform the technique. When he felt he was ready Athren's swung his hand from his left to his right, The ground below exploding in an orange show of lights. This time the young saiyan had managed to do a small chain of explosive waves. A total number of three that were connected. Though it wasn't as many as he wanted it was still an improvement from his first time. He figured another handful of tries and he'd have it down pat.
Quickly the saiyan's right hand swung back over to his left side. At this point it was simply a rinse and repeat strategy. Every time he executed the technique and failed to make it what he wanted he could work on it and improve it from there. He figured it was the best way. Though it got very repetitive he was building it up to be something tremendous, something devastatingly impressive.
After a handful of hours of repetition Athren had come to a point where he was content with the chain in the attack. It was very effective and combat ready. He didn't believe he could make it any better. It was time to move onto the next step.

Stage Two Learned
With his progression today being something of an achievement Athren didn't want to give in. He still had one more stage to go and he figured it'd simply be best to push through and continue. No breaks, no resisting his urge to train. Though his fatigue was getting up high and he was quite tired. Regardless of this, he wanted to go on. Of course this was simply the stubbornness of a saiyan warrior. In all honesty, he never did know when to call it quits but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing though that had depended on the situation.
Getting back to his training Athren had found himself airborne again. His eyes on the destroyed environment that he created on the last stage of his training. It had looked pretty brutal, almost appeared that a war had taken place there. Maybe in this next stage Athren could fix it, make it look almost normal again. Of course this normal would be one massive creator instead of dozens but who could judge it, he was in hell? There were a million other worse looking areas in this place. What would one creator do? Right?
In this stage of the technique Athren had lifted his clenched fist out in front of himself and began to charge his energy. He gave himself more than enough time to charge a good enough amount to set off an explosive wave where he wanted. When he felt he was ready Athren lifted up to fingers and set off the explosive wave technique on the ground below him. It was beautiful and bright. The orange colour lighting up the area.
On his first attempt he succeeded. Of course this was probably due to the hours of repeating the last stage of it. Both were very similar concepts. The last stage was a chain of explosive waves while this was one single one. All he really had to do was make on HUGE one instead of multiple small ones. It was a piece of cake. To insure he had it down the young saiyan warrior spent a little bit more time on it. He tried to do it over and over again and of course he succeeded. Taking a deep breath Athren had decided to pull it off one more time just to be on the safe side. This time he intended to make it massive. His clenched fist went in front of himself one last time. He began to charge his energy into his fist. He prepared it and focused. A few moments had gone by, a smirk grew on his face.
When he was ready he lifted his fingers up and set off the biggest explosive wave technique he had ever seen. The landscape completely changed by the young warriors actions.
Happy, it was time for Athren to call it a day. His technique training was completed.
It was time for him to take a break for a while. At least the rest of the day, for tomorrow would most likely bring the young saiyan warrior even more training.
