"Operator, we had arrived to the point of interest."
The Superbellum capital ship approached the Tayona system, ready to unleash it's sophisticated weaponry on an unsuspecting civilization - in exchange for their credits and/or other funds. Cier, clad in the red suit (with some golden-coloured accents) for these occasions, had looked over the zoomed-in picture.
"What we know of them?"
"Small system. Culture roughly level 4 on technology. Knowledge of Ki-based arts present."
"...Ergo, they probably don't care about our guns and cannons. Why are we here, again?"
"New markets = new opportunities, Operator. With due respects, this unit got orders from high above."
"So, this is the procedure... All right, let's get this ball rolling."
A small machine, shaped like a javelin, was dropped down, and slowed down after reaching the atmosphere. It aimed to the most populated area, selected a different trajectory to the biggest and most guarded building and stopped 50 meters above ground level, opened up and three holographic screens lit up, forming a speaker where everyone could see the screened picture of Cier Inedil, sitting in a well-lit conference room and resting her arms on a desk.
"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. I am Cier Inedil, the leader of a weaponry merchant-ship. I came to your civilization to offer a business of a lifetime, and an entryway into the Universe itself. If this deal interests you, we may strike a deal. It only requires you to turn on the supplied red flare, a red canister this device just dropped." The said canister landed on the floor with a soft landing. "I hope we will all prosper after this deal."
The screen then goes dark, and gets replaced with a timer, ticking back from one hour, with the big, friendly words of "Time remaining from the offer" visible above. Also, more flares get supplied whenever one is moved from the general vicinity of the screening machine.
Cier just has to wait... The camera looks over the area the messaging device landed, and she gets ready to deploy a few more, if this one won't get a reply.
