[Thread Power Level: 328.480] [Ki Suppression On. Current PL: 100.000]The southern islands.
A place so close to the city he had attacked, and yet, the place where he found the first friendly people on Earth, who incentivized him to create an environment for the saiyans who didn’t have that mindless blood thirst and cruelty in them. Of course saiyans would always be thrilled with an exciting battle, as well as having issues controlling their emotions, but that was part of them, and he knew and accepted it, since he also had such traits, but many saiyans could become better than the average and those saiyans were somehow castaways from their home planet, while, at the same time, unable to be fully accepted on Earth. It was tough, and he knew that very well.
That gave him enough motivation. Maybe Earth could be the place for them to live. He didn’t want to have any problem with the Earthlings, but of course precaution was never enough; if he could gather a large number of saiyans, help them improve, help them transform, they wouldn’t be scattered and vulnerable anymore, they would become a force that would incite both fear and respect on others, and that way they could be at peace. Or at least that was the initial idea he had. To build such a place, he would have to start it step by step, laying low, and the southern islands were the perfect place for that; there were plenty of islands with not a single inhabitant, and he found one large enough to hold a small town in the future, but small enough to be ignored most of the times.
It was close to the place both Ninjin Nedrag and Toma lived, so that if they decided to move to this new place it wouldn’t be much trouble. And he really hoped that they would. ”I should visit them again sometime… I need to introduce Tomo and Kyuri to them!” he thought to himself with a subtle smile on his face.
Natto arrived there with his energy suppressed quite a lot. He was still showed himself to be powerful enough so that he would make most people think twice before approaching, but low enough so that he wouldn’t be a threat to the world and hopefully he would be left alone. He was, however, wearing his traditional saiyan battle suit, with his scouter on his left year. With this one he was wearing he only had another three to spare and he surely hoped that he wouldn’t get into a fight and lose this one, but he also didn’t have anything else to wear, and earthling clothes seemed rather awful and vulnerable… He didn’t like them.
– This is it! It’s perfect! And nobody lives here! Hehehe! – he said to himself, with a happy smile on his face, touching his hips with his clenched fists as he stared at the island. – So… Where should I start? – he asked himself, as he scratched the back of his head with a thoughtful expression on his face. Articho landed softly on the small island, his shoes clacking against the large stone he touched down on. He had heard reports of a man in Saiyan armor flying around the area before landing on this island. The hybrid could sense him and he felt somewhat familiar, though he couldn't place it. All he knew was that it wasn't his father nor did it match any descriptions of any Saiyan he knew. Given that the invasion hadn't been to long ago, a left behind Saiyan was out of the question and his being so close to Ninjin, Toma, and their children didn't make Articho very comfortable. The young man decided to leave nothing to chance and settle any issues the Saiyan could cause.
The amount of power that radiated off of the guy didn't make him hard to find. Articho, having suppressed his own power level and walked a short trek to reach the energy's source, found the Saiyan standing alone with his hands on his hips. He shouted something in a happy tone, though there was no malice as far as he could hear. Articho continued to watch in silence for a moment before stepping out of the trees and approaching the man. "Any reason you're not a ship back home?" he growled. "Last I checked, the South Capitol has been cleared of all Saiyan invaders. And yet, here you are." Articho didn't take a fighting pose, but his muscles remained tensed and ready to strike. The man's tone before had left doubt in his mind that the Saiyan meant further harm. But it was too close to be sure. The young hybrid needed to be ready in case of an attack, though striking first was an unwise move in the same regard.

Natto couldn’t hide his surprise when he heard a voice coming from in between the trees behind of him. He turned around with curiosity on his eyes, looking for the source of that voice. It was a man slightly taller than Natto, as he stood 5’11” while the young saiyan warrior was 5’9” and considerably bulkier too. He was a warrior for sure! He even wore that sort of fragile fighting attire the earthlings liked to use, even though Natto still failed to comprehend the reason they did so, since it didn’t seem like a good enough protection, but go figure.
He asked if there was any reason he wasn’t in a ship back home in a rather harsh tone, and that made Natto scratch his back again. He couldn’t feel much of his power, and his scouter could only scan a feeble number of 5, still, the young saiyan was certain that he was hiding his power level. ”If he came here to face a possible threat, I imagine that his power level must be around my suppressed power. Either this, or he is another crazy guy, like that Raisu.” he thought to himself, trying to read in between the lines, but failing to get into any conclusion, so he would just have to tag along. The young man continued to speak, saying that South Capitol had been cleared of the saiyans invaders, and that made Natto sigh, as he remembered that fateful day.
He also looked really young. Perhaps Natto’s age, or something like that, and he was somehow tense, like if he was ready to defend himself if Natto was to attack him. The young saiyan warrior took his hand from the back of his head and moved to his scouter, taking it off in order to cut the channel of communication; the line he was using was already safe, but he didn’t want to alert Tomoroko and Kyuri if things went south and became a fight. In all honesty, he didn’t want to fight, because he was pretty close to Toma and Ninjin’s place, and even though they had just met, he wanted them to see that he could be trusted and that he meant his words. A single drop of cold sweat ran down his left temple.
– So you are familiar with the fights… I take you for a warrior, am I right? – he asked, pausing briefly before continuing. – I mean you and this planet no harm… You may not understand my people, but not all of us are ruthless and cruel… I may have been a soldier of the Empire, but I no longer have any attachments to it. I defected during war and I didn’t kill any of your people. – he sighed, as he remembered about Aspa’s death at the hands of Jarvis. – I’m… Just looking for a place to stay… For a while, maybe… I don’t wish to start a fight, okay? – he could only hope that the young man in front of him wasn’t like Jarvis or Raisu, otherwise it would be very difficult to avoid a confrontation.
”And damn! I liked this island! I’m not gonna leave it just like that!” he reassured his resolve. Word Count: 540 Articho Reville

Articho looked the Saiyan up and down for a short moment, his tail flicking anxiously. The way he was acting and what he said made the hybrid doubt any ill intentions on the ex-invader's behalf even more. He was glad that nothing would come of this encounter. Articho didn't want to cause a stir in the area and put Ninjin and the city on alert. Gradually, his muscles relaxed and he stretched his arms above his head, breathing a soft sigh of relief. "Good to hear. You can rest easy on Earth for as long as you need," he replied while dropping his arms. "These past few weeks have been incredibly stressful for myself and Earth. It was honestly just one problem after another and I'm still very tense and alert. Sorry if I came off to coldly there."
Articho approached the Saiyan and stuck out his right hand for him to shake. "Name's Articho. Articho Reville," he said. "You're damn right I'm a warrior. Nearly lost my life a few times fulfilling that role and lost friends who were as well." Benetto and Gleciar flashed through his mind for a moment. Others had died in the past weeks, yet come back. Why hadn't they? "It seems that peaceful Saiyans are cropping up pretty frequently, something I'm glad to hear," the hybrid continued. The Saiyan seemed willing to cooperate with him to keep the peace. He had been continuely searching for his father and it might be possible that this E.T. knew where he had run off to. "Since I think I can trust you, I think I can also get a straight answer from you as well. Do you know a Saiyan by the name of Turrip? Mid class, looks a lot like me, but with a lot of scars and Saiyan armor?"

It was only now that Natto noticed a tail flickering behind the young man who had been speaking with him, that made Natto’s eyes widen even more and his brows to arch further. While Natto got even more surprised, the young man became more relaxed and even stretched his arms above his head, showing that he was somewhat relieved to know that Natto wasn’t an enemy. He said that he could rest easy on Earth for as long as he needed and that startled the young saiyan warrior even more. ”Really?! Maybe that’s because he is also a saiyan…” he wondered about the reason. Articho also spoke about the past couple weeks that were indeed rough for the Blue Marble and its defenders, and apologized if he came off coldly to him. Natto shook his head, showing that he wasn’t troubled by that, he actually understood him and smiled a little with the corner of his mouth.
– I wouldn’t expect anything different. – he said in all honesty. After that he introduced himself as Articho Reville, and that he was a warrior, like Natto suspected, having almost lost his life a few times and even having lost some friends on the battles that happened before. That comment made Natto sigh as he remembered once again about the death of his best friend during the invasion of South Capitol. ”Aspa…” he had a small spark of melancholy on his eyes. He was brought back to reality by Articho, who said that peaceful saiyans were cropping out quite frequently. That made Natto smile widens.
– Yes, I’m really glad to hear that! And by the looks of it you are one of the nice saiyans too, right? – he said, pointing with his head to Articho’s tail. – I’ve been feeling pretty lost ever since I defected the Empire… Somehow all my beliefs had been shattered, you know? – he shrugged. Natto still hadn’t introduced himself, as he feared that his name might change Articho’s behavior. From past experiences, he came to realize that his name was known by some of the earthlings and not in a very good way. Then, Articho asked him about a saiyan named Turrip. Being a middle class made things easy for him to think about it. Natto touched his chin with his thumb and forefinger and thought about it for a while, remembering the time he was the Commander-in-Chief and organized the squads.
– Turrip… - he said vaguely. – I know who he is, yes… Why do you ask? – he asked Articho. He didn’t want to say anything improper, nor say that he knew him because of the position he once held on Vegeta. Word Count: 451 Articho Reville

Articho nodded in appreciation. Any suspicion or sense of danger he had felt from the Saiyan was gone, though he did take note of his unwillingness to say his own name. The hybrid could tell the man in front of him meant no harm to his world, he was clearly hiding something. Maybe saying all of his suspicion was gone was a bit far fetched.
Articho glanced over his shoulder at his tail for a moment before looking back at the Saiyan. He almost forgot his fifth appendage was there sometimes. Looking at it again made him think about how it was a glaring reminder of the legacy he bore. It probably wouldn't help with any future social situations given the invasion. "Not quite," the hybrid said. "My mother is human and she raised me here on Earth. This is the only life I've known and the only planet I've lived on. I would defend it with my life, which seems to happen pretty often." He smiled a little bit before continuing, "It wouldn't surprise me. I had heard that your Queen was going to leave Earth alone so long as we didn't interfere with her conquering of Arcose. I hate that we didn't help, but we had our own problems going on at the same time and now Arcose and Namek are gone. Evil acts are difficult to understand and most of the time, it's better to simply remove their sources."
Articho ran his fingers through his hair while sighing. "He's my father," the hybrid stated bluntly. "I found Turrip in Satan City as the Saiyans were scattering at the end of the battle. I tried to chase after him, but I lost him in the crowd. I've been hunting for him ever since. Before I was born, he gave me a challenge: Get strong, find him, and beat him. I figured since you were a Saiyan, you might have some way of helping me accomplish that." Now that Articho knew that the Saiyan had defected from the Empire, which his father might also have done, made the possibility of this working very slim.

So he was another hybrid. ”There are plenty of saiyan and earthling hybrids… Interesting… I guess that’s mainly because of the similarities of our biology. If you look at it without much prejudice, the earthlings are almost identical to us in most things… They just have some oddly shaped hair and sometimes weird colors on it…” he realized, nodding to himself, as he listened to Aritcho’s explanation: his mother was a human and he was raised on Earth since he was born, so he didn’t have anything related to saiyan culture on him, or so it seemed, and that he would defend it with his life, even though Earth seemed to be at risk quite often. – I can sympathize with that, Articho. I’ve been here for just about a week, and I’m already able to understand why you people love it so much… Vegeta is very different from Earth… Much rougher, I would say. – he mentioned, with a little bit of sadness on his tone; Natto loved his home planet, but he couldn’t help but to compare them, and see how much Earth surpassed Vegeta, be it in beauty and resources. He did, however, missed the crimson skies, but at least he could be reminded of that at sunset and sunrise.
When he spoke again, referring to Zucceta as his queen, Natto frowned his eyebrows, and clearly didn’t like that part of his speech, to the point that he cut him briefly before allowing him to continue.
– She is not my queen anymore! – his tone was harsher than he intended it to be, but it was understandable, and it could – maybe – even help Articho believe him. He did it by instinct and later sighed. – Sorry… Please continue. – he said before listening to the rest of his speech. He mentioned about Zucceta’s promise to leave Earth alone if they didn’t interfere, and how she broke her promise as soon as she felt confident enough to challenge the universe due to her wicked tree of might. That memory made Natto feel disgusted and he grimaced. He nodded to Articho when he finished, agreeing with his words: sometimes it’s better to destroy the source of evil, but on this particular case, that would mean destroying Vegeta, and due to that, his opinion would be biased.
– Yes… I can agree, but not always. – he said, before being surprised again to hear that the middle class saiyan he mentioned was his father. Natto arched his eyebrows a little bit and widen his eyes.
– Really? – it was more a rhetorical question than an actual one. Articho proceeded to explain a little bit of his relationship with his father, saying that he left him with a mission to beat him when he got older, and how he found him briefly during the siege of Satan City. ”I believe it was the city Mayze attacked…” his expression became a little thoughtful as he tried to remember the orders the queen ensued them. ”Yes. It was Mayze’s target.” he nodded to himself, before getting back to a more serious expression.
– Satan City. That was Mayze’s target. – he said, showing him that he knew about the battle plans, meaning that he was a higher up. – If you father is a middle class warrior, his power level must be in between four thousand and ten thousand… I take that you are hiding your power level right now, but he can be near an elite tier, so you should be careful, unless you are really strong. – but them something came up to his mind. – But you said that you saw him, meaning that you survive such a battle… And there was Mayze and Luffa among them, two of the finest soldiers Vegeta had. So I believe you are strong enough to handle yourself at least against Luffa, am I right? – he asked him. Natto was intrigued: he wanted to know how strong Articho really was, and he had to rely on his answer. Word Count: 677 Articho Reville

Articho nodded solemnly. From what he had heard, Vegeta was a harsh place to grow up and live in. His own experiences with Saiyans showed that a majority of them were harsh and brutal, not someone you'd want to meet in a dark alley. The lower class Saiyans seemed to be considered the weakest of the bunch and were likely the poorest as well. The hybrid wondered if crime was rampant on Vegeta as much, if not more than Earth. "Of course, of course," he replied to the Saiyan's outburst, unfazed. "My mistake."
Articho noticed the Saiyan's tone. Something was bothering him with his final statement. He had only meant getting rid of Zuccetta, not killing every Saiyan alive. There had been enough genocide in the universe with most of the Nameks and Arcosians being eradicated by Vi-Poi and Zuccetta respectively. He kept quiet about it, though, and nodded in confirmation. "Yeah, Mayze and I nearly fought," he said, not noticing the Saiyan's knowledge of who was leading the attack. "I would think my father would be stronger than that. He just showed up out of the blue after being only a few steps ahead these past few weeks. I don't think he was attacking the city. I think he was watching me, checking my progress. But that's just a hunch."
Articho went quiet for a few moments. "Yeah," he stated. "Luffa tried to nuke the city with his blast and I stopped him. Easily. If I had wanted to kill him, he'd be dead. He's nearly dead now and would be if I hadn't saved him. My own attack knocked him back a bit and a would-be lethal attack only mortally wounded him. Mayze left with him after that and the battle was over. That's when I saw my father." The hybrid paused, sighing in frustration before continuing, "Luffa was nothing compared to me. None of the Saiyans there were. The only person that could match me was Mayze and I never got to fight him, something I don't plan to let happen again."

Natto’s cut of his speech left him unfazed, but at least he apologized, saying that it was his mistake. Again at the main topic of the conversation, Articho said that he and nearly fought, and that made him arch his eyebrows in a quite impressed expression. He even went as far as to say that he thought that Mayze would be stronger, and that he didn’t seem to be attacking the city, but more like to be checking Articho’s progress. That was quite unexpected and Natto couldn’t hide it on his face.
”Who is this guy?! Mayze would be interested in him? Why?” he couldn’t help but to ask himself. Articho spoke about Luffa and how the young prince tried to nuke the city, making Natto sigh. ”That’s a troublesome brat! Putting non-warriors at risk just to gain some sort of upper hand… I don’t like to be thinking this, but I can’t help but feel like he is rotten to the core… I wonder if he could redeem himself at a kinder society. He is still young… And Aspa managed to become a better person, but who knows…” he wondered. Articho stated that he could’ve killed Luffa if he wanted, but he chose not to. On top of that, he also mentioned that he wasn’t anything compared to him and that the only person who could match him was Mayze, and Mayze was a freaking Super Saiyan. ”This can only mean one thing…” Natto gulped and a couple drops of cold sweat ran down both his temples.
– Are you kidding me? Mayze is a Super Saiyan! If he was the only one that could match you, it can only mean that you are also a Super Saiyan! Am I right?! – he was quite impressed with all that, and his tone didn’t hide it. ”This planet… It was a way above our league ever since the beginning! And if Turrip knew Articho's potential, than he at least knew about one worthy opponent that would have to be defeated… And therefore Zucceta should have known it, since she gathers plenty of intel. From what I’ve hear, she is also relatives with Toma and Ninjin Nedrag… Meaning that she knew about them too beforehand and they didn’t even fight! Goddammit! Was she planning a mass suicide for our race from the start?!” he gulped again, feeling quite scared with such a fearsome scenario. He hoped she didn’t know about it, but all proofs showed otherwise. Articho gave the Saiyan a weird look. Fighting Mayze didn't seem like it would be a big deal to anyone, but himself. Maybe he had misheard what the hybrid had said. He knew Mayze would be a challenge for him, though he hadn't been able to experience it. He was certain that his father would be stronger than the number the Saiyan had said. Articho assumed it was low and if his father wanted to fight him, he would wait until both he and his son were at planet-busting strength. He felt like he could safely assume that his father had been training hard since his conception, possibly even with Articho. The hybrid hadn't been able to get a read on his father's strength at the time and thus, was left in the dark.
Articho smirked at the Saiyan, crossing his arms over his chest. "Maybe," he said simply. "I could also have the base strength of a Super Saiyan and be the strongest warrior alive!" He chuckled a little bit, his smirk changing into a warm smile. "Nah, I'm not that strong. If I was, I could have sent Zuccetta back to Vegeta with the flick of my wrist and there wouldn't have even been an invasion," the hybrid joked. "It took a while and a good deal of training, but I did manage to transform into a Super Saiyan. Seems like it's gone on sale with how many are running around now. The only way to keep up nowadays is to have unlocked some deep power, Saiyan or not."

Natto failed to understand Articho’s joke at first, and when he said that maybe he had the base strength of a super saiyan, he couldn’t help but to arch one of his eyebrows with a quite suspicious look upon his face. ”Hell no! I wouldn’t miss such a tremendous power!” he told himself, starting to get rather pissed, but he relaxed as soon as Articho said that he was joking, pointing out that if he was, he could easily stop the invasion by himself, and then Natto sighed with some relief. He revealed to the young saiyan warrior that he had to train a lot, but he managed to unlock the power of a Super Saiyan, and Natto nodded to that and chuckled when he said that there were plenty of super saiyans on this era, and that it was becoming quite common.
That, however, made Natto crack a mischievous smile with the corner of his mouth, as his pride was ablazed. – Yeah… There’s plenty of super saiyan nowadays… But there’s but one person who managed to ascend beyond that. I believe you felt such power from South Capitol, haven’t you? – he asked, trying to hide the excitement on his voice, but it was still there, and if Articho was alert enough, he would know that he knew something about it. ”Come on, Natto! Don’t show your true power… You may give him the wrong idea! But damn! I want him to know how strong I am! I know this is childish, but maybe Toma and Ninjin Nedrag could also feel it, and know just how safe they will be when we create our new home!” his thoughts were childish in some way, but he was still pretty young, and he was also a saiyan, and showing off was part of the package.

Articho had to smirk at the Saiyan's inability to catch his joke. It seemed like a sense of humor wasn't something any of them developed on Vegeta. "Lighten up, man," he said, clapping one hand into the Saiyan's shoulder. "Trust me, I'm all about getting stronger, but you have to see when someone's yanking your tail." He smiled brightly as he finished and gave the Saiyan's shoulder a dove as he let go.
Articho nodded in response. "I did feel such a power when I was in Satan City. I felt a lot of powers rising and falling," he answered. "There was quite a large one that wasn't Ziccetta's coming from the South. Definitely beyond Super Saiyan and even beyond the Mastered States many others have. 'Super Saiyan 2,' as it were. And I can only think of one person able to achieve that level of strength." The hybrid stared the Saiyan dead in the eyes. Kaula had mentioned that the SSE had three Super Saiyans. Mayze was with him in Satan City, while Zuccetta had been in the North Capitol. "It really is unwise for you to stay so close to the city you invaded, Natto."

Articho nodded in response to Natto’s statement, and shortly after that he spoke, saying that he did feel such a power when he was fighting at Satan City, also mentioning that he felt lots of powers rising and falling, which was only natural in a war. He mentioned a power larger than Zucceta’s coming from the south, and that comment made Natto’s smile to widen a little bit, telling him that he noticed it to be far beyond those held by people who mastered their super saiyan transformations, calling it Super Saiyan Two. ”I don’t like this name… But that’s probably because it was the name that monster used, when she was back in Vegeta!” he thought to himself, but didn’t let the thought of Reikiko to spoil his pride right now.
What made Natto quite curious was that he mentioned that there was only one person who could have achieved such a power, and, since they didn’t know each other before this very moment, that assumption bugged him quite a lot. Articho stared Natto dead in the eyes and he responded accordingly, almost getting into a non-blinking challenge, and then he said that sentence that made Natto lose the challenge and feature a quite surprised expression on his face.
The young hybrid said that it was unwise for him to be so close to the city he attacked, and somehow recognized him as Natto, the saiyan who led the Empire forces to attack South Capitol. – What?! – he exclaimed, unable to hide his surprise, but, as soon as he did that, the young saiyan warrior took a deep breath and let go of his energy suppression, revealing his true and astonishing power level. At the same time, his expression became more serious, and he cracked an weird grin, that was hard to read in to.
[Ki Suppression Off. PL: 328.480]
– So, you knew. For how long, if I may ask? – he asked him, in a quite straightforward tone, still stating him in the eyes.
Since he released his full power level, he could easily be sensed by both Toma and Ninjin Nedrag that were nearby, as well as by Tomoroko if she was still on the Star Javelin that was flying just a few miles away from where they were. Any other people who was aware and had the skills to sense people on the battle of South Capitol that happened over a week ago could maybe recognize that energy, but he didn’t care at the moment; Natto meant no harm for anyone on the planet right now. Post by Ninjin Nedrag on Oct 20, 2015 18:54:51 GMT
Ninjin had been sitting inside of an oversized beach chair at her home as she felt powers zipping this way and that way around the Southern Capitol and the islands surrounding it. It was rather refreshing for her to finally feel the area starting to regain its appeal with everyone. She though figured would have to talk to her favorite disciple one of these days to let her know that she was up and at em once more. Fully recovered from the child birthing and all that nastiness that had accompanied it. Sighing to herself as she felt a suppressed Natto flying nearby toward one of the larger islands in the ‘chain’ that her island was a part of. :: So that is where he is going to stay? Seems like a great place to be honest. I know there is abundant wildlife and the water there is from and underground spring which is not contaminated by the salt water. And it seems he has a visitor coming his way to approach him. ::
Thinking to herself as she focused in on the second power that was incoming toward Natto. It was not confrontational and it was excessively familiar as she really was certain it was Articho. Yet this could be a bad thing as she knew full well that Articho had been with the defenders of Earth and NAtto had been one of the commanders of the invaders. Yet despite this difference it seemed that everything was going well til the first burst of power came from within Articho. Showing off his strength toward Natto. As he did so she just laughed to herself as she knew full well that this was like Arti to show off to a new person that he had just met. Yet without the Super Saiyan she knew that he was not fully showing off all of his strength. :: Men and their need to show off their strength to one another. I swear if I did not know any better they would be throwing rocks into the air to see who was stronger physically next. ::
Smiling widely as her thoughts kept herself calm in the slowly escalating scene that was unfolding an island over from her. It was not until she felt in the pits of her stomach Natto release the seal upon his power did she jump to her feet. In a single fluid motion she was in the air screaming toward the island. She was going to keep any sort of confrontation from turning bad and she hoped that just by her presence she would do that. Coming into range Articho and Natto would be able to feel her coming as she made no qualms to hide her power beneath her weighted clothing.
Floating down off to Natto’s right/Articho’s left she waved at the pair. Her feet landed on the ground as she kept her own power subdued with the swirling power around herself dying down of her lilac ki with golden streaks. “Natto, Articho what a pleasant surprise to find the both of you so close by. What no one wanted to stop in and say hello to me and kids today?”
She was obviously attempting at some humor in the moment to try and defuse whatever tension that had been building between the two men. A nervous smile crossed her lips as she nervously chuckled lightly and glanced back and forth between the two men.
{{Hope you guys don’t mind me poppin in right here.}}

Articho smirked confidently. Clearly, his deduction hadn't been wrong. It paid that the Saiyans were a prideful race. They couldn't keep their mouth shut about themselves even if they tried. Not that he could really talk. The hybrid loved to boost his own ego whenever he got the chance, but he had gotten good at seeing the signs of self promotion. His mother and old master used to give constant reminders to him about keeping his pride in check. Though, it had been generally unsuccessful, it taught him to detect the moments when he was bragging and thusly, apologize.
"Not until just now, honestly," Articho said. He ignored the rise of Natto's power level, realizing it had been a way to disguise himself from any intruders. "You're energy felt familiar to me from the beginning. Like I said, I could feel your energy from Satan City and something that large that I've never sensed before tends to stick. The reason I figured it out so much quicker was your bit of self-promotion. No Saiyan I know talks about someone superior to them with that tone of voice, especially if they were their enemy as this person would be to you if it hadn't been you."
Articho persisted with his smug grin as Ninjin arrived. He turned to face her and bowed respectfully. "Good to see you, Master Ninjin," he said as he straightened again. His smirk changed to a warm smile as he continued. "I had sensed our friend here and I wasn't entirely sure whether he was on our side or not. I didn't want to alert you or Toma to any possible danger he could have posed to the kids and you. But, given that you know him, I'd say I won't have to worry."
