It had been many weeks, maybe even months with no success. Weeks of time sifting through a sea of the dead, and for what? Oh yes, there were plenty of things Benetto had found out. The trouble was that all of them were just more distractions, more things that everybody else seemed to enjoy. Even when he had finally been reduced to asking around, only one question ever came up: "Why do you want to leave?" (Is there really no way out? I don't want to be done yet, I don't want to give up. However, the more I run around, the more I struggle, all I see is everybody else enjoying themselves and I have to wonder if I'm wasting my afterlife. The frustrating part is how I don't even know what's happening while I'm here. I guess if all else fails, I can find out in a couple of decades, but isn't there any other...huh?)
During his ruminations, the depressed spirit had nearly run directly into...what appeared to be a giant television. All it was displaying was fuzz right now, though. (What the? A television? I guess if I'm going to try something in Heaven, this is as good of a place to start as any. Let's press some buttons, see if we can get this thing working...) Benetto poked and prodded at the massive set, when suddenly a picture showed itself: The ruins of North City, or at least part of it. (What? North City? But I thought Red destroyed all of it! Hmm, maybe things aren't as bad down there as I thought. By now, if Red won, the scene would be far worse. At least, I hope he didn't.) The scene appeared to be set in the nighttime, yet an odd amount of people were still out and about. And looking straight up. The television moved upwards as well, showing the sky. Instead of a blue, peaceful sky, the sky was covered with spaceships, with warriors beginning to pour out of them. "Oh no. Ohhh, no."
Skyscrapers crumbled. The first burgeoning signs of rebuilding fell apart, laying the original crater in the center of the city bare for all to see. Forces began to move to the South, to the West, to cover the skies. A golden-haired Saiyan moved out of a pod, then relaxed her transformation, turning her hair black once more. Then, only one sentence:
"Greeting, insects of Earth! Let me tell you a thing about Saiyan transformation..."
Benetto stood in shock in front of the television as a small crowd of other spirits began to gather. (Does the universe have it out for Earth, or something?)
