Still in the lands of hell something special had happened. Something Athren had not expected. He didn't have a logical answer as to why nor did he have an answer on how but this wasn't something he was going to question for long either. He had gone from a dream of him being trapped in a soul orb and traveling the roam of hell by floating to something he didn't expect to experience ever again. With a quick blink, Athren was able to open his eyes.
His ocean blue eyes scanned his surrondings through the green colour of a scouter. Their were still orbs floating around as the souls whom didn't have their body and there had also been a number of beings around with body's. Athren was finally lucky enough to join them, though at first he wouldn't have believed it easily. Lowering his head Athren raised his hands, he stared down at them as he clenched his fists multiple times. "Hm, So I've actually got a body back. Who would've thought that would've happened." He mumbled to himself quietly. Best yet, his scouter was mounted to his ear and over his eye. He had his senzu's, his heavy weighted gear equipped like he normally did when he was alive and he had the rest of his possessions. It was quite odd but he really didn't care.
It was in this exact moment that an unfamilair breeze ruffled through his hair. This had also been a feeling that he missed. It was refreshing though, looking over to his right he happened to land his eye on a figured standing underneath an old withered, dying tree. It's bark was rotting and it's leaves long blown away in the wind. The figure had matched the tree. It gave Athren an odd feeling, a feeling of curiosity with a mixture a feeling of annoyance. This figure was just staring down Athren though it didn't last long. In an instance the figure with the dark robes, the pitch black hood, the dark creepy mask and the piercing, fierce red eyes vanished in a cloud of black whirling smoke. He decided to vanish only when Athren's eyes had met his. Athren didn't know who this figure was, whether it was a he or a she. Whether this being had something to do with Athren's body being returned or not was a mystery, just something about them had seemed off. Regardless of the situation, Athren was quite grateful. At least now he could kill time with training.
Looking back on his months spent in hell, Athren recalled a dark place filled with spike shaped rocks and a flat platue. It was gloomy but it did have the positive of being empty. Not many ventured there due to the fact that it wasn't very bright. For most it was a pointless area to visit but for a young super saiyan it would've been the perfect place for him to train and get back to one of the things he had enjoyed the most.
As a saiyan it was in his blood to train and fight. Training and fighting wasn't just a passion, it was an obsession. The stronger the foe the more excited a saiyan got. A real challenge pushed a saiyan to his limits and further. Athren strongly believed that to become the absolute best he could be he'd need to find someone to push his limits. So far, one foe had done that and he had wound up here, in hell. It was ironic that the very thing Athren had loved and craved had been a large cause of why he wound up where he did. Yet, nothing would stop him from pursing it. His passion, his obsession stayed with him even in death.
There was nothing that could stop his growth now, he was free to do as he pleased in hell. He was no longer confined to being an orb, or a cloud. He could grow his strength greatly without interuption, without being sidetracked with his affetions for an earthling woman, or his time with sprocket. Though he missed them both greatly, he knew he'd never see them again. He had to make the best of this time, for if somebody were to wish him back with the Dragon Balls, he could defend Earth.
It didn't take him very long but the young saiyan warrior relocated himself to his ideal training location. He was alone, nobdy else was around. The platue was dark and cold. Surrounding it were grey, sharp stone formations. The lighting was terrible, not only was is giving the vibe of darkness but it had the appearance of it. When he had arrived he took a moment to simply take in the scenary. As his eyes scanned the environment his breath released slowly. He then took a nice, refreshing, deep breath in. The moisture in the air was cooling, it put Athren in a mindset that he was still on Earth in the small, flat platue that Athren had found between the mountains. The air was moist there too, he had spent a lot of his time there training and it had brought him back to that place.
Exhaling slowly Athren's mindset was changed to the here and now, his present and not his past. He was here to train and nothing more. He was in the most ideal place for little to no distractions. It was time to get the ball rolling and stop wasting his time. After months without a body, this moment was all too sentimental.
"Alright, Well then.." Athren mumbled to himself in a low pitched tone. "Let's see if I've still got it." It was in that very moment that Athren's two fists clenched tightly. His muscles tensed up as he began to power up. His orange aura flared up brightly around him. His mouth opened as he began to yell. "He...AHHHHHHHHH!" His black hair began to shake around in the wind that he had been creating. His power level began to increase from it's supressed state. It shot up dramatically, yet the young saiyan warrior continued to yell.
A few minutes had passed with Athren powering up, he had been putting plenty of effort into what he was doing. His goal was simple, transform into super saiyan so he could train at his absolute maximum and get a better grip on the transformation himself. His long term goals were to have it like a second nature thing, he wanted to be able to transform into it in the blink of an eye without straining himself too much. He had also hoped he could go days in the form. That would be perfect mastery. Right now, he was struggling with it. It took him way too long to make the actually transformation and he knew that it had an effect on him which he didn't like. He would have to fix all of that with training.
Finally, in a large explosion of light Athren's hair stood up and changed to a golden colour. His beautiful ocean blue eyes went to turqoise and his eyebrows went to gold as well. His orange aura that had surrounded him was now also a golden colour that lit up the darkness like the brightest of spotlights. With his power level up to it's maximum Athren believed he was ready to begin his intense training, though he didn't have all the supplies he would've liked he believed he'd have to make the best of nothing. It would be here that he learns a handful of new techniques, his super saiyan mastery and more.
"Well, I'd best stop wasting time.." He mumbled to himself.
In a rush he shot his right fist forward into the air. His knuckles cutting throught he air like a warm knife through butter. He followed up with his left fist coming around in haymaker fashion to hit his invisible foe. Immediately after that Athren leaped back and did a back flip through the air. It was so elegant and flawless the way his body moved through the air so smoothly. His feet, thudding against the ground upon landing. Athren once again launched himself forward and began to unleash a massive barrage of kicks and punches into the air. His speed was incredible. His determination was high, his will was indestructible. He was a saiyan with a goal, he wouldn't allow anything to stop him. He had all the time one could ask for, so it was going to become a reality. His barrage grew quicker and more aggressively launched, yet as it grew more aggressive it had also grown more precise. His attacks pinpointing a single spot in the air and that's where they'd land. There was nothing about this barrage that was absolutely random. After a few minutes of his barrage Athren once again leaped back, his feet slid across the ground as he came to a stop. He then left an afterimage behind as he darted up into the air. His left hand shot down and fired a small Ki blast to his image. Hitting it, the ground below exploded which left a tiny crator in the area.
Dust rose high into the sky from the damage done to the ground.
It was in that moment Athren realized he actually wasn't alone out there. A demon rose from the dust and charged straight at him with their pitch black fist cocked back as if he were ready to fight. Athren's right brow arched curiously as he couldn't sense this creature nor did he see it come into play. Whatever this creature was, it was blacker than the darkness nights. It's body concealed with black robes and a large black hood. The only colour Athren could notice from it was it's fierce, red glowing eyes. It quickly had closed the distance. It's black fist hitting it's mark. Athren's face turned to the left as the fist made contact with his right cheek. His body pushed back into the air as he spun around backwards to recover from the blow. "Who the hell are you!?!" Athren yelled out as the creature came in for another attack. Unfortunately for the creature, Athren was prepared this time.
Without any kind of vocal response the creature swung it's fist towards Athren's face once again. Athren easily shifted his head to the left and let the fist blow right past his face. It was in that moment that the creature fired a right fist towards Athren's face. To avoid this one Athren simply shifted his head to the right. It was all too easy. Whatever this thing was didn't know what it was getting itself into. Why the hell did it attack in the first place? Athren didn't know, it honestly didn't make sense.
Seriously, everything that had happened today was unsual. First his body, some black figure vanishing after being spotted, now this? Maybe it was all connected? Then again, maybe it wasn't? At this point it really didn't matter. Athren just wanted to defeat this creature and get some answers.
The creature continued to lay a fierce assault on the young saiyan warrior, in his current super saiyan form he didn't really need much effort to avoid all the damage that could've been done to him. The rate that the being was attacking was much too slow to connect with the much faster super saiyan. With little effort Athren spoke up once again to the creature. "Seriously, If that's the best you've got I'd stop while you're still capable of moving. If you continue this I'll be sure to break every damn bone in that body of yours." Of course, Athren had said this with such an amused tone. His attacker refused to stop and his attacker had refused to speak. This led Athren to believe that he only had one option. "Alright then, Let's do this the fun way." Quickly Athren dodged another incoming fist effortlessly. It breezed by his face about an inch away. Athren's right fist cocked back quickly and launched forwards towards the foe. A smirk grew over the saiyan's face as he was almost certain that this little attack would be over and done with. Of course, it didn't go as planned. Athren's fist would've connected if the creature had remained a solid object. Athren's fist phased right through the creature as it dissipated in a black smoke. It was very similar to how the demon had dissappeared earlier in the day. The hell was with these guys?
Athren's eyes went slightly wide at this point. He couldn't sense anything nor would his scouter detect any kind of a presence around him. This was a very unusual situation. Did the fighter flee or were they just coming up with a random strategy?
It was in that very moment when a foot had connected with his back. It shot him spiralling down towards the ground quickly. Before making contact with the hard ground Athren used his ki to prevent the impact. "Grr, You bastard!" Athren grunted as he spun around to observe the creature floating above him. It's red eyes staring deep into his soul. It was honestly getting quite annoying. The fact that he didn't have any answers to why this was happening was driving him insane and he had no knowledge of why this thing was attacking him either.
In a rush Athren blasted upwards once more. His golden aura surrounding his body once again. His speed rapidly increased and he once again cocked his fist back. Getting closer to his opponent Athren once again launched it to recieve the same damn effect. The creature had faded into a black mist and Athren's fist had phased right through it yet again.
Athren came to a sudden stop, his eyes scanned the area looking for this damn thing.
The creature obvious could be hit, if it could hit him it'd only make sense for it to be hit.
It was in that moment that the creature appeared behind him. Finally a dark, echoing voice creeped out of the dark figures mouth. It was a manly, distorted voice. "It's a shame to see so much potential caught down here in an endless cycle of suffering. Away from a dog, a woman and his friends. Isn't it, saiyan?"
Athren quickly turned around to face this thing. "Who the hell are you and what the hell do you want?" His right fist tensed slightly. He was ready to fight if need be. His brows arched over aggressively, his eyes locked onto the creature. His posture tall and tough.
"Ah, Yes. " He glanced over to his right for a moment before returning his eyes onto the young saiyan. "I've been watching you for some time, Saiyan. You've demonstarted such an impressive skill set and I hope to see you grow. In fact, I may be of some use to you. I believe if you were to let me train you, You'd grow tenfold in power."
Athren shook his head lightly, he was a stubborn saiyan. He didn't train with anybody before with the exception of Ukare and he didn't intend to train with anybody new here and now.
"First of all, Piss off. I don't need YOU training me. I'd rather train alone. Secondly, I'd advise you stop watching me and stay away from that woman and that dog."
The demon had now decided to completely ignore Athren's concerns about Sprocket and Kaiyo, he decided to poke the saiyan where he knew he'd beable to get his attention. "Ah, You think because you've reached this level of super saiyan that you're the mighiest in the universe. When in your first battle you failed and ended up here. While you've been bodyless, those still living have been getting much stronger. You're nothing, Super Saiyan.
You need help, and I'm willing to offer this help to you for a simple exchange." He paused for a moment before adding leverage to his words. "You do owe me, I am the one that granted you a body and all your possessions. It'd be awfully rude of you to decline my offer."
Athren arched a brow now curiously. The speak of him being nothing was annoying but it could be overlooked for now. This demon gave him his body and his possessions back.
Though Athren was grateful there wasn't a chance he was going to sign up for any sort of training by this damn demon. "I don't know why you decided to grant me what was mine but I'd appreciate it if you screwed off. You're the one who gave it to me, now don't expect me to just say yes because of that, do you? That's pretty damn foolish, especially if you've been watching me."
"Hmph." The demon turned his back to the saiyan warrior. "Fine, I'll get you to say yes eventually saiyan and you're right, maybe it was a little foolish of me to make this attempt. I've watched you from your landing on Earth to the day of your death. You're a stubborn one, but you're also one who needs help. I'll be watching you, warrior." With that being said the figure faded into a cloud of black smoke and blew away in the wind.
Athren shook his head lightly. "Seriously, Who the hell is that? And what the hell does he want with me?" Athren believed there had to be something more to this. It just seemed too odd. He was in hell afterall, he didn't know what kind of shady things were around.
It had only been his first day back in his body and he needed to stay sharp and alert. He wouldn't allow himself to be taken advantage of so easily. He knew he wasn't in the greatest place, hell was full of liars, tricksters and decievers. He'd have to stay on his toes and stay cautious so he wouldn't make a fool out of himself.
In all honesty, Athren wasn't sure of if he'd ever get out. Was there even anybody left willing to wish him back to life? Whatever the case may be, Athren expected to be stuck where he was for eternity. With that being said, He fully intended to stay sharp. He understood that he would've had a lot to learn about the style of life down here. He would've let himself be pushed around and he'd stand his ground, yet.. he'd have to be somewhat understanding.
He could only hope that in time somebody would come around like him. One who's made their mistakes and is ready to change for the greater good. Somebody he could train with, talk with and just be friends with. If that day were to come, that'd be a bonus. If not, the saiyan was used to training alone.
Athren couldn't help but wonder what could happen or how his next years would end up like.
Who would he meet? What was going to happen? He was positive some events would be interesting and others of an annoyance but it beat not having a body, right? Whatever came to face him, who ever, what ever... It'd all be something unique. Demons, Jokers, anything unexpected. Orges, everything. You name it.
Not overly happy with this..
but shoki please.
His ocean blue eyes scanned his surrondings through the green colour of a scouter. Their were still orbs floating around as the souls whom didn't have their body and there had also been a number of beings around with body's.
