[I'll be posting my reactions to the Gizard Wastes battle here! This thread is open to any person in heaven (Be it a current resident or... In the unfortunate case of death in the thread: future resident. King Yemma is more than welcome to post in here as well if he likes!)
It was time. A week had passed since the vicious villain, the maniacal mechanaloid, or the not so nice nasty person: Realigner Red had made his claim upon the world by assaulting the capitol of the frigid tundra: North City. Seven days had passed since Nicolas, Tako, Benetto and numerous others fell to the wrath of the crazed cybernetic. Despite time being mostly meaningless in the cloudy paradise that their spirits resided in everyone seemed to know that today was the day that could mean the liberation of Realigner Red's grip on the world or the complete destruction of it. The normal serene air that seemed to radiate among the eternal paradise was gripped with a thick tensity. The normally carefree spirits were all huddled around a series of otherworldly TVs that seemed to be magically projecting the event live for all the spirits who cared to watch.
“Has it really been a week? Crap, it doesn't feel like it's been that long at all!” Nicolas muttered to himself as he sat before the massive television that gave him an almost immersive view of the conflict. His forest green eyes narrowed as he watched the scarlet haired android come into focus. “Realigner...” He hissed under his breath, his hands balling into fists as a sense of hatred boiled in his heart. Despite being out of the city, his wanton destruction didn't cease one bit in the week between his (now already infamous) assault on the capitol. He could see lines of wrecked police and military equipment that made up the outliers to his 'arena.' “Tch, figures... I knew he wouldn't just sit around waiting patiently! I wonder how many people he had to slaughter to create this mess! It's disgusting!” He snarled.
His gaze looked to the poor innocents he got dragged into his chaotic mess, one was a newscaster (Thank goodness he didn't rope in the poor anchors at LNN to do his dirty work... Though it was still a tragedy that...Channel 7? Was being forced to play into his hands.) the others looked to be officials or referees of some sort. Did he think this was all a game? He had a lot of nerve...
He listened intently as the announcer read off the names of his chosen combatants. So much for the heroes getting their choice to send off the strongest fighters it seemed. Though in his mania the android still managed to pick some heavy hitters to come up against him. He even called Bing out! If anyone had a chance to defeat him it was surely Bing!
Soon the fighters made their way to the stadium. The first being a tan skinned girl with a mane of golden locks. He hadn't seen her before but given her crude insults and lax demeanor he didn't think she was going to last too long. It reminded him of that one cyan haired warrior back at North City. Come to think of it, he didn't even see that guy in the weeks time he spent in heaven... Did...He go to the other place?
The next fighter to show was a feminine monster like creature. Though she might have been written off as strange or even grotesque to some Nicolas thought she looked kinda cool but kind of cute at the same time. It was a weird mix of strange and adorable. Unlike the first crass fighter she seemed confident and composed. Her tone was more sad than anything... It was as if she regretted being forced to come out and face the android. He recalled a few people tried to reason with the Villain back in North City... Was he always a villain? If not... What made him go so bad? He shuddered at the thought.
Another newcomer came on the scene, this one looked to be synthetic like Realigner Red! He wondered if he had the same power output. He kind of had his doubts but hopefully he was strong enough to take a stand against the robotic bastard. This guy seemed more cool and relaxed. He saved his words and kept his focus. Nicolas partly wondered if that came with the territory of being a robot... Though given Red's rather extravagant and sometimes painfully unfunny commentary it seemed unlikely.
The next was... It was Bing! Excitement welled up in the young man's heart as he saw the Kami of Earth show up for his titanic rematch with the vile Realigner Red. “Alright! You can do this! You can save earth! I believe in you Kami!” He cried out, startling a few spirits as he rose in his chair with intensity.
Followed by him was that strange alien from North City and some sort of tribal hunter of some kind. The hunter, either through sheer optimism or naivety, tried to reason with the android. The android who was currently wearing a TV set on his head... (Seriously...What was up with that?! If he hadn't been killed by this bastard he would have assumed he was just some nutjob... Well, he was a nutjob. Just one with the power of a goddamn star.)
Nicolas was busy pondering over Vi Poi's immense planet bursting power that he nearly failed to notice someone that shouldn't have been there. “What...What?! WHAT?!” He stammered, shooting up in his seat once more (once again startling the spirits around him) His eyes narrowed as he saw the clear vision of the icy warrior that should have been dead. “W-What the hell?! What the actual hell!” He repeated, dumbstruck by the image. He wasn't supposed to be there... How was he there?! The horrifying image of his remains being carelessly dropped unto the street kept replaying in his mind at the sight of the warrior. He was dead wasn't he?! Or...
“...Did he somehow come back?”
He couldn't have been cloned, that fiery woman made sure to cremate his remains... How...How was he there? Was there a way out somehow? A way to return to the living realm?! Nicolas looked down at his hands. He had his body, it was indistinguishable from when he was alive. The only thing that separated him from the living world was some paperwork and a halo... Hell the Kami could just warp in and bring him back if he really wanted to.
Was death really this simple? Could one really cheat death?
He supposed Jarvis was proof enough. That was something to think at least... More importantly however... Would he really even want to cheat death? This was a paradise it was meant to be a reward... Was it really right to turn down such a generous gift? To turn your back on paradise for another chance at life? He... Wasn't sure...
