"You even brought home a street rat... how nice, you've really done well for yourself brat." Her father taunted, sneering at the young girls rage. He then glanced over to Natto as he threatened him, and with a 'tsh' seemed to dismiss the boy completely. he could see very well what the boys power-level was, and yet assumed it was a malfunction of his scouter, or simply that he had too much to drink (because in his mind, he was totally fine!).
Tomoroko stood there, her fists clenched and her tail angrily flicking from one side to the other. She stepped forward, her gaze never leaving his own as she walked towards him.
"You think you can come in here, hit my mother, then have the gall to call yourself my father? Do you really think I care at all about what you think?" She stated, walking up until she was in front of the older man. Much like the older man, she was much much shorter than him, but the closer she got to him, the more resemblances you could see between them. Their hair styles were almost identical, features in their faces looked very very similar, and the stance in which they stood off against one another was almost identical. Of course, in the heat of the moment she paid no mention to any of these similarities.
Her father laughed at the young girl, placing his hand down on the shorter girls head and even going so far as to grabbing her hair, pushing her head back so that he was sure she was looking at him.
"You're a useless piece of trash. I don't know why I didn't just kill you when you were little." With that, he swung one bulky fist down onto Tomo's face. The young girl however didn't move, she didn't even close her eyes or flinch as the fist came down on her. She let it connect, and smirked as she watched her fathers face contort in confusion. Obviously, that was the same strength that had knocked her mother off of her feet, but it wouldn't work with her.
"Are you done?" She asked simply, reaching up with an open hand and digging her index and middle finger directly into a pressure point located in her father's wrist, causing him to let her go with a sudden cry of pain. Tomoroko then walked away from him without another word, walking towards her mother who she began to help back up to her feet.
She was just about to ask if she was alright when a shudder coursed through her body and caused Tomo to freeze, a small yelp of pain escaping her lips. She had only felt paralyzing pain like this a handful of times, and instantly knew what had happened, and what mistake she had made. She had turned her back on an angry saiyan, one that would do anything to prove his superiority over those he thought weaker than him. She managed to turn her head just enough to see her father standing behind her, her tail in his large hand and pulled as taught as he could make it without ripping it off. For a moment, panic flashed in Tomoroko's eyes as the saiyan smirked once more and spoke.
"I wasn't done with you, useless brat!" He growled as he tugged on her tail hard enough to pull Tomoroko off of her feet and face plant into the ground underneath her. From there, he quickly proceeded to stomp down on the girls back.

The answer Tomo’s father gave to Natto made him grit his teeth in anger. ”He called me a street rat?!” he couldn’t believe how bold that guy was, or how drunk he was to treat him like that, but before he could step in and have a not so nice talk with her dad, Tomoroko took a stand and started handling the situation. She was quite something, indeed, making Natto’s brows to arch a little, as he watched her stand against her abusive father. The young saiyan had to hold his anger, though, as that brute grabbed her hair, but she was quick to free herself from him, completely dominating her father with skill. ”Why am I worried? Tomo’s power level is almost six times higher than his… There’s no risk here…” he sighed in relief, folding his arms. Following that, she went to where her mother was, getting her back on her feet, as the older saiyan approached.
– Tomo! Look out! – he shouted, as he tried to warn her, but it was already too late. Her father had grabbed her tail and, as Natto feared, it drained all her strength. ”Her tail is still that weak…” he thought to himself, being conflicted on what he should do. At one hand, he felt an immense urge to go and help her, to protect her from any harm; on the other hand, the situation had showed him that thi was something that she wanted to deal with herself. ”Dammit! What should I do?!” Natto was into a rather uncomfortable position.
Natto vanished, as he moved a way to fast for any of them to see, reappearing on the exact same spot he was, only this time, with Tomo’s mother on his arms. – Ma’am, please, stand beside me… - he asked the older saiyan woman, before glaring back at Tomo’s father. – You piece of trash! – he growled, looking at Tomo just after that. – Tomo! If you need my help, I’ll be more than glad! But I feel like this is something you should do yourself! Our tail’s weakness is nothing! You can overcome this pain! I believe in you! Don’t let this jerk do with you what he pleases! – he said. Even though he was trying to control his anger, his ghostly-white ki aura would insist in appear from second to second, like a flash, and his ki was charging so intensely, that the ground beneath his feat was slowly shattering. ”Calm down, you fool! It’s been a while since you haven’t used the weights! You are going to destroy this place!” he said to himself, as a couple veins pop out his forehead and temples. Word Count: 450

Tomo's mother was already back up on her feet, thanks to Tomo's help. She was rubbing the side of her face that had begun to turn a little hit at the strike when her daughter was suddenly pulled away from her and forced to hit the floor. She glared at the man and was about to speak when she felt someone suddenly take hold of her and pull her away from where she had just been standing. In the blink of an eye, she was back in the sitting area with Natto standing before her. her glare faded as she looked to the young man in awe, amazed at how fast he could actually move. She didn't see a thing until they had stopped just now.
"Thanks Natto" She stated, biting her tongue before she let her pride take over. She wanted to tell him that she would have been fine, that this was a regular occurrence and she could, over time, get rid of him herself. however, the more she watched the interaction between Natto and Tomo, the more she understood just what it was Natto was implying. could her daughter really over come one of the saiyans primary weaknesses? She glanced to the pained look on Tomoroko's face before looking back to Natto and carefully placing a hand on his shoulder.
"She's beaten him before. They just didn't know who they were fighting then." She whispered to Natto as she watched the events unfold. Of course she was worried for the girl, but here she was, recovered from a seeming impossible mission with an elite warrior of the empire... if that didn't speak volumes for how far she had come, then the outcome of this sure would.
---------------
"Easy for you to say..." Tomoroko grumbled, wincing and hissing as her father tugged on the girls tail again and again, each time slamming his foot down into her new armor. She cursed with every blow, not that the strikes themselves hurt, but everytime he tugged send a lightning bolt of pain through her body. She grit her teeth and clenched her fists tightly, shutting her eyes as she tried to block out the pain that was inflicted on her.
"Nothing smart to say now? Where's that high and mighty attitude? Come on let's see you cry like the baby you are" Her dad mouthed again. Under his foot, her armor began to crack, giving the man a sense of satisfaction that he could inflict so much damage. At least, to his standards.
'I can't move... I can't... damn it... how is this weakness nothing? It's like being set on fire and not being able to move!' She thought to herself in a panic. She attempted to move her tail, only managing to cause herself to gasp in pain again. Then instead she attempted to focus on everything but her tail and the pain coming from it. With her arms, she started to push herself up slowly from the ground, shaking violently until finally her fathers foot came down on her shoulder blades, slamming her down once more. She was quickly growing pissed odd with the situation... her useless father (as her mother had pointed out earlier) actually had her pinned down on the ground and completely at his mercy. She might have a higher power level than him but how could she do anything if she wasn't able to use her power!?
Her red Ki flared up around her, erupting like a blazing fire and surprising her father enough to loosen his grip for a brief moment. he quickly grabbed on again however and this time used it to swing Tomoroko from the floor and into the small kitchen table that was next to them, slamming her down so hard the table broke underneath the strike. This time however, Tomo had been flipped from her stomach and onto her back. her dad still clung to her tail as he then kicked her in the ribs repeatedly.

The older saiyan woman thanked him, and he nodded, giving her some sort of withered smile, as he was completely concerned with Tomo now. The young saiyan warrior was looking towards the girl, with a concerned, but confident look on his face; he believed she could surpass that weakness. He had faith on her. Her mother touched Natto’s shoulder, catching his attention, as he stared at her with the corner of his eyes. She told him that she had already beaten him in the past, to which he nodded again. – She is an incredible saiyan… I have complete faith on her… It just… It just hurts me to see her suffering like that… - he was completely honest, revealing himself as a very rare type of saiyan as he had empathy towards others. That would probably not be an alien feeling to Tomo’s mother, but was still an odd trait nevertheless.
On the other side of the room, the brave saiyan girl was giving her very best to resist such terrible punishment. To look at that scene made him very, very angry, but due to Tomo’s mothers words, his rage was restrained and the place remained safe, other than the cracks to the ground that Natto’s ki caused. When she was able to fire up her red ki aura, while the old saiyan held her tail, Natto smiled widely. – Way to go Tomo! That’s it! The weakness is in your mind! Your tail is as strong as your body! Endure the pain and turn it into strength! Beat this jerk to the pulp! – he said. He was even more impressed with her strength. It took Natto years and a very intense training session to get rid of his tail weakness, and she was doing it there, in such a dire situation, both physically and emotionally. His hear raced with amusement and anxiety as he wanted her to escape his grip as soon as possible. ”Come on, Tomo!” he cheered on the inside. Word Count: 335

"She's surpassed every expectation and limitation placed on her... I really think she had potential to be really great..." Tomo's mother said softly, smirking whenever Natto admitted to hurt whenever he could see tomoroko in pain. She nudged the younger saiyan without saying a word, leaving only the smirk on her face for him to decode. Perhaps her initial assessment of the two settling down hadn't been too far off the mark after-all. ------------- The feeling of pain coming from her tail was soon becoming numbing, in the sense that the longer he held on, the more use to the pain she became. The more used to it she was, the easier it was to fight the feeling and find her senses enough to move again. Slowly and methodically she would test every limb, twitching her feet, flexing her hands and rotating her head just enough to look like she was reacting to the pain being inflicted by her father. Whenever her father finally got tired of kicking her in the ribs he leaned over her enough to try and smash his boot into her face. That's when a determined cry escaped Tomoroko's lips as her arms flew up to catch his foot before it would strike her again. The two struggled for but a moment, her father attempting to finish his move while still holding onto her tail, while Tomoroko fought to regain as much strength as she could, while preventing him from striking her again.
"I hope... you hold on tight... because this is going to... hurt." She panted out as she focused her ki into her right arm. She hesitantly removed it from the man's foot, struggling harder with her left hand to hold him in place. She then swung her fist into the man's foot where the gathered up energy exploded on contact. She heard her father cry out, and felt the relief of him releasing her tail. She used the moment to spring to her feet and leap away from the remains of the table, listen to her father curse and cry as he stumbled backwards into the cabinets.
His boot was completely gone, even his undersuit had been burnt away by the key blast. When the smoke cleared you could make out the burn marks on his leg as well, blood slowly escaping the tiny wounds. Panting, Tomoroko instinctively wrapped her tail around her waist, very much self conscious of it after this incident. She stared at her father as she felt her hatred for him rising in her chest again. She never looked back to Natto or her mother before stepping towards her father again. She moved with all her speed however, ending up in front of him before the man could even react to her, still writhing in pain as he attempted to use his leg.
"I bet you intimidate a lot of other people around here with cheap tricks like that... Let's make sure you don't keep at it..." She stated angrily, punching him hard in the face, watching as his head ricocheted against the cabinet, leaving a crack in the door. Tomoroko then grabbed a hold of the front of his armor and began dragging the large saiyan outside.
By this time, a small group of nearby citizens had either gathered, or were spying on the situation from their own homes. Some looking on in awe while others actually began to cheer for the young girl as she dragged her father outside. Once they were in the street, far enough away from anyone's home, the let her father go, standing before him, barely holding in her anger.
"You've got two choices. You can leave, or you can fight me. Just know, I wont hesitate to kill you even if you are supposed to be my father..." The look in her eyes now would be nothing like Natto had ever seen yet. It was a look that often took over her features when she was in the midst of battles. It was like a flip had been switched and a different girl was standing where Tomoroko once stood.
"You really think you can-" "1...." " -defeat me? You were born a-" "2..." "piece of dirt that even us low-class..." "3"
She finished, raising her hand and forming a gun with her fingers. A small ball of red energy began to form there growing to the size of a tennis ball. When her father finally realized she was serious, he growled loudly as he took off into the skies, turning around once he felt he was a safe distance away. He connected both of his hands in front of him and fired a large red beam of energy towards the young girl. Tomoroko responded by firing her own beam. Both energy blasts connected with a loud crack, her bullet piercing directly through her fathers blast and soaring through it as if it was paper. It proceeded to strike him in the chest, blowing through his armor as if it was non-existent and disappearing into his chest. Her fathers blast, even though defeated had continued to soar towards her, however as it struck her, she didn't move, waving her free hand and dismissing the energy as she looked on at her fathers shocked face fall back towards the ground.

– She is incredible… You see, we had a sparring session and after she healed, her power level skyrocketed from seven thousand to over twelve thousand… That’s quite a feat! – he told her mother, as he stared at the struggle between daughter and father with a sincere concern in his face. It was crystal clear that he was bothered to see her suffering, but, in life, there are plenty of obstacles that we have to surpass ourselves.
Little by little, Tomoroko was surpassing her weakness as she started to be able to move more feely. Natto was awestruck as he had to put his tail into some crazy training, resorting to smash it with pieces of mountain and stuff. As she started to be able to actually move and react, Tomoroko managed to hit her father, blowing away his boot with a ki blast before kicking a table onto him. She wrapped her tail around her waist in order to prevent it from being grabbed again. ”Good choice, Tomo!” he smiled, cheering for her inside his mind. The girl was very angry and that was completely understandable, Natto would be in a same state of spirit if he was walking on her shoes.
He slowly followed them outside, to keep watching the fight, as people gathered around. He had to glare with a furious expression to some saiyans that thought about getting in the fight just for the sake of it, but a single look at their own scouters made them change their mind and be satisfied by just watching, as she gave him a choice between leaving of fighting her. Natto had never seen that look on her face, but it only made him admire her even more. – Despite being such a kind girl… She is also a fierce warrior… - he spoke to himself, but Tomo’s mother could hear him clearly as he stood there, awestruck.
Following that, as her father seemed unwilling to give up, they started a beam struggle, where Tomo’s attack quickly overwhelmed and utterly defeated the older saiyan, who fell to the ground badly injured and almost dead. As the battle resumed, he approached her slowly, being cautious as she was probably still on “battle mode”. – You did great! You overcame your weakness and defeated him… I’m really proud of you! – he said, smiling with the corner of his mouth. Word Count: 400

Tomo's dad lie gasping in pain on the floor, clinging to what he could of his wound as if that simple action would heal it and he would be able to get back up to his feet. He couldn't voice his anger, or his disappointment in himself anymore as the pain flooded his mind. All he managed to do was turn his head jut enough to stare at his daughter, his face a fix of hatred, awe and pain.
Tomoroko glared back at him for just a brief moment, glancing around her at the other saiyans that had gathered around to watch the fight, only now cluing in to the fact that they were there at all. She blinked several times looking at them, then was snapped out of her reverie by Natto's voice. She quickly spun around, her tai instinctively wrapping even tighter around her waist as she did so, sighing lightly as she saw the face of one of the only people she could recognize.
"Thanks Natto... Beating him wasn't exactly the hard part..." She said gently, reaching down and lightly rubbing her now sore tail. It hurt even more than the multiple blows to her ribs, the armour having taken most of the impact. Her tail however felt like one large bruise at the moment.
"How's mom?" She asked just as the saiyan woman stepped out from behind Natto, a huge smirk on her face as she ran over to her daughter, wrapping her arm around her shoulders and bringing her in close, kissing her forehead and ruffling her hair.
"You are growing up to be an amazing person Tomo. Memories or no, i'm proud of you" Tomoroko's mother stated with beaming pride and love for her daughter. Tomo's cheeks flushed lightly as she smiled while still leaning in the awkward position her mother had dragged her into. She chuckled softly at her mothers reaction then looked back up to Natto.
"Not to be a party pooper, but this might also be a good time for us to leave before the other saiyans decide to idiots too with us around. I don't want anyone else getting hurt." She stated, finally standing up straight and glancing at the mark on her mothers face. She felt her anger building up again, and refused to look over in her fathers direction. If he died there, so be it. If he survived and became even stronger from this fight, then she would always stand as a figure of power in his mind, and would hopefully keep him in check. Regardless, she now had full plans to move her mother up from this low-class crap hole to at least a mid class apartment as soon as she could afford it. She'd have further conversations with her mother, learning more and more about her in time. Now that she seemed to be here on Vegeta for a while, she'd have a whole lot of time to spend with her. --------------- Word count: 496

When she thanked Natto, the young saiyan shook his head with his gentle smile upon his face. – You don’t have to thank me! You did great yourself! – he told her, with a proud tone on is voice, since he was, indeed, proud of her. It was a shame, though, that her brand new battle suit got damaged, making him shrug his shoulders a bit. “We can always get a new one…” he told himself, not caring about that any longer. Then, Tomoroko asked how was her mother, to each he responded with a nod. – She is fine… I took her out of the danger zone as fast as I could… - as he answered, Tomo’s mother stepped out from behind him, running over to Tomo, wrapping her arm around her shoulder and then, kissing her forehead. Natto sighed with a smile, as he couldn’t help himself but to feel a warm feeling inside his chest. ”That’s so nice…” he thought.
The scene was quite nice to watch, but such displays in public could definitely invite some troublemakers to stomp into and do something stupid, as Tomo noticed by pointing out that it was a good time to leave the place, as she didn’t want anyone else to get hurt. Natto nodded to her, and looked at her mother. – Don’t worry… She is going to grow even stronger… And if things goes south, I’ll have her back! Always! – he blinked one of his eyes to the older saiyan woman as he chuckled a bit, than, he looked back at Tomoroko. – Shall we? – he said, as his body started hovering a little bit above the ground, as he was getting ready to fly back to Cacumber Capital. He was just looking at the younger girl, waiting for her reaction, so they could flare their auras and return in no time.
Natto’s mind was racing quite a bit, even if he didn’t show signs of it. To face her father like that, even without any memory of him was quite a struggle. To grow among saiyans meant that some part of you, no matter how big this par is, has got to become somehow ruthless and fierce, otherwise you are going to end up dying sooner or later. Natto thought about his only remaining family alive: his brother Miso. ”How is things going to turn out for us? Sometimes I fear it’s not going to be good…” his face got a little sad with that thought, but he was quick to hide it with his subtle gentle smile. Word Count: 430

"Of course she'll get stronger. But try to stay one step ahead of her alright? Trust me when the woman of the relationship is stronger, it causes issues down the line." Tomo's mom laughed at her own statement, smirking widely towards Natto as she watched him levitate slightly, getting ready to take off. She then turned over towards her daughter, still smirking.
"Don't you worry about me kid, alright? He got one lucky shot in, that's it. I'm still stronger than he is, and this won't happen again. Sorry you had to be here for this. Take care of yourself hunny and you come back to see me alright? Maybe I'll have a few updates ready for your ship and scouter when you come back! I'll tell you more about that next time you come by okay?" Tomoroko raised an eyebrow at her mothers statement, not knowing what it was she meant by upgrades for her scouter and ship... but none the less, the girl smiled and nodded. her own body took to the air, matching pace with Natto's.
"I'll be back soon. I promise." Tomo stated just as her energy flared up around her. whenever Natto's did to, the pair took off into the air, scattering the dirt underneath them with the force of their speed as they left. Once they were in the air, that's when tomo unfurled her tail, sighing lightly as she brought it up into her hands, lightly massaging the sore spots. That's when she heard Natto speak, and turned her head to look over at him curiously, wondering just what it was he was talking about. --------- word count: 272 -END THREAD
