Tomo couldn't help but chuckle as she held him in the grapple, feeling him struggle even slightly beneath her grip. She did admire how kind hearted he was, that hadn't been a lie, but even after just a day of knowing him, she knew that it could be used against him. She hoped that, by them working as a team she might be able to make up for his kindness with her suspicion. That wasn't to say she wasn't a kind person as well, she had just learned not to trust anyone, and while she could extend the hand of friendship, there were only very few times she extended that hand towards an enemy. Which in this situation, they should consider themselves as such.
She didn't get to enjoy her victory for very long as Natto finally began to speak, calling her naive and seeming to make light of the situation he was in. She knew she couldn't just hold him forever, that she'd eventually have to do something against him, which would lead to him getting loose, but she wasn't planning on him acting so quickly.
"I could have, but where w...ow where would be the fun in that? You'd still be able to hit me.... crap" Just as she finished her sentence, she felt Natto shift, his tail easily slipping through the hold and unfurling so fast that it hit her with all of the fury of his strikes. She cringedx as she actually held onto Natto tighter, as if the action would lessen the pain, but as his tail moved away from her and Tomo's body relaxed, she quickly lost her grip when Natto then swung his head back into hers.
Stars danced in her vision as the male saiyan slipped out of her grasp, flying a safe distance away from her and slipping into a battle ready position. Tomo's hands flew to her head as she hissed.
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow.... that was mean... uuuurg.... and I didn't... I didn't forget your tail I.... ouuuu.... I just didn't think you would use it... you keep it so close.... tshhh." Her sentence was broken up by tiny exclamations of pain, this time the tiny tears that budded at the corners of her eyes never fell, as she doubted the same trick would work twice. She flew back away from Natto some so that she too could catch her breath, still passing her hands on the sore lump on her head. She tried to clear her vision by shaking her head a few times, finally slipping herself back into her own battle stance.
"I'm sorry I had to trick you, but I know there's no way I can beat you in a head on battle. That doesn't mean you should hold back! We grow stronger with every battle! So... Let's do this!" A pained smirk crept up onto her face. Clearly the young girl was having fun, even though her face was now covered in blood and her body covered in sweat and bruises.
she had to use what techniques she knew how to use, and that limited her fighting capability greatly as Natto had already seen most of everything she could do. She flew straight ahead towards the male saiyan as fast as she could, energy building up in her right fist again as she attempted to engage him in a heated airborne melee. ---------------- Word count: 569

The good thing about everything was that Tomoroko was actually having fun, and that gave Natto some peace of mind, since the train consisted on they hurting each other quite a lot. When he was finally free from her grapple, she claimed that she didn’t forget about his tail, but never expected him to use it since he kept it well-wrapped around his waist in the belt-like fashion most saiyans used. She said that among some exclamations of pain, with blood and tears running down her face, as she flew backwards, to put a little more distance between the two of them. Natto, however, couldn’t keep his angry face as he looked at the young saiyan girl and a small smile appeared on his face when he saw her shaking of her head. ”Cute!” he thought to himself, blushing slightly.
– Just because I kept it wrapped doesn’t mean I unskilled with my tail. You could’ve also tried to grab it… - he pointed out, even though it would be ineffective against him, but she wouldn’t know by then.
After that she apologized for tricking him, but she had, indeed, a good reason to do that and also said that he shouldn’t hold back, since they would only be able to truly become stronger if they took the training session seriously, to which he nodded, agreeing with her. Following that, she flew straight at him as she built energy on her right fist again. In response to that, Natto charged up energy on his right fist, making a flame-like ki aura to engulf it as she approached. ”Time to show her my skills!” he smirked as he also rushed forward.
Natto would start with a sequence of three jabs to her face, with his left hand, as he got into melee range. They weren’t actually supposed to hit, though he wouldn’t avoid hitting if that came to happen, their main goal was to focus her attention on dodging/blocking them so that he could roundhouse kick her with his left hand to the ribcage, with the objective of breaking her guard to the main dish: Should the kick land, he would immediately twist his hips, to bring his right fist, engulfed in blue colored energy, to land an energy punch to Tomoroko’s face, with all his strength.
Shall the punch lend, it was only the first part of his main technique. The punch would send her body sailing through the air and, immediately after that, he would stretch his hand, opening his palm. – Let’s see how I deal with this! Tyrant Lancer!!! – he shouted, as he fired a big blue-colored energy wave towards her at high speed. ”Come on, Tomo! Dodge! I’m open at my right side!” deep inside his mind, he was cheering that she would be able to counter him at that specific moment, even though it was quite hard, since he was using his full available speed. Word Count: 491 If he manages to start the tech: Techinique used: PL of 4.162 (2.081 on the energy punch and 2.081 on the energy wave) Tyrant Lancer [N1]: The user charges energy into their right hand and charges forward with an Energy Punch followed by an Energy wave.

Her breathing had already started to become labored as she looked on at Natto, listening to his words closely but then smiling and shaking her head at his statement. Sure she could have made an attempt at grabbing his tail, she knew just how much it hurt whenever someone grabbed hers but she felt that it would be too obvious of a tactic to make. She needed to keep catching him off guard, throw him off so that he had no idea what to expect from her. However, the option of keeping him off guard wasn't readily available to her as she was forced to use what she knew. Her atomic fist.
As she launched at Natto, he launched himself towards her. Both of them colliding with one another in a furious assault of punches. Her atomic fist came up to hit Natto, but was quickly diverted to a block as Natto's fist came flying towards her face. As Natto's fist collided with her blocking hand, an explosion erupted between them as the energy from her attack was discharged at that moment. This managed to create a little bit of distance between them, no more than an arms length which seemed to give Natto just the distance he needed for the oncoming kick that connected with her ribs once more. She winced as she felt a few ribs crack under the repeated pressure.
'Damn it..." She thought to herself angrily as she tried to retaliate by punching him, but too late. Natto's fist collided with her face and caused her to recoil quite some distance away from him.
"Again!?" She cried out as her hands flew up to cover her face. What was with him and hitting her in the face? Well whatever it was, it worked as every hit made her more and more angry inside. She growled as she moved her hands, blinking through the pain to see him continue his assault by firing a rather large blue blast at her. Her scouter shouted warnings and Tomo took a deep breath as she aimed her own hand forward, bringing her fingers into the shape of a gun once more.
"Rail gun!" She called out, firing the shot but then quickly flying out from behind her blast. There was no way it would stop Natto's, but it would at least slow it down enough to let her get out of the way. Well, mostly. As Tomo emerged from behind the colliding energy beams, the hairs on the end of her tail were singed, leaving a nasty smelling trail of smoke behind her as she flew as fast as she could towards Natto, aiming her hand at him once more but this time, firing a barrage of Ki blasts at him. She didn't notice that he was open to attack from the right. Her plan was to just pelt him with as much damage as she possibly could. ----------------- word count: 488

The two of them exchanged blows for a while, blocking each other’s attacks until she ki blasted, making them distance from one another a little bit due to the explosion. Just after that, Natto dashed forward, throwing kick to the rib cage when the opening appeared, making Tomoroko wince and a loud “crack” to be heard. In the heat of the moment, Natto didn’t quite related the sound to the cracking of the bones, so he kept on pushing her harder and harder. In response to that, she tried to punch him, but he managed to dodge it and hit her with his energy punch right to the face, causing her to fly away quite a bit.
The young saiyan made a grimace when his fist hit Tomoroko in the face, making the girl complain about getting hit there again. ”Damn… I’m really aiming too much for the face… I guess it’s just my battle instinct… Oh my! Really not used to train with anyone besides my brother…” he thought to himself, realizing that the only person he had actually been training to was Miso, his elder brother, who enjoyed really intense training drills. To put into example, the last time they trained, Miso grabbed Natto’s tail and hammered him to the ground until the younger saiyan was barely able to move.
Anyway, Tomoroko was sailing through the air with her hands on her face again, since blood started dropping out again, and Natto used that momentum to fire his Tyrant Lancer, on his regular quickly charged version, to which she answered with her own rail gun. The beam struggle started and Tomoroko’s rail gun started to take the upper hand, since its power level was a little higher than what was left remaining from Natto’s Tyrant Lancer, since he split its power in between the energy punch and the wave. ”This attack is quite something!!” he thought, smiling with the corner of his mouth. Natto saw the girl flying away, but he had to deal with the remaining of her rail gun first.
With a hit from the back of his fist, he deflected it, making it fly towards a big rock nearby, blowing it to pieces. However, as soon as he did that, his scouter beeped warning him of an impending attack. As he turned his head, he saw Tomoroko pointing her hand towards him and firing a barrage of ki blasts. – Wow! – he exclaimed, as he crossed his arms in front of his face, bending his body to reduce the area of impact of the blasts, and then he stood there, receiving the blasts head on.
Blast after blast he endured, feeling the sting of pain as it hit him, scorching his arms too. After her attack, he was all covered by the smoke of the small explosions of her ki blasts, but her scouter would inform her that he was still in one piece and kicking. – Your Rail Gun is quite an attack, I’ll give you that! It overpowered my Tyrant Lancer and that is quite a feat, Tomo! – he said from inside the smoke, with pride in his voice, as he was quite happy with her feat.
As the smoke cleared, she could see Natto. His arms were a little scorched due to her attack. It did damage him quite a bit, but he was still completely capable of fighting. – You must have had great teachers! But that’s still not enough! – he said, smiling, but immediately after that, he rushed forward, continuing the training session. Natto would fly towards her flaring his ghostly-white ki aura around his body. As he closed in, he was quite open to being attack, almost like he was inviting it.
Should Tomoroko attack with ki blasts or punches, she would be doing exactly what he wanted, making Natto wait until the last second to somersault above it and spin his body, rolling it like a ball, only to attack the back of her head with a strong tail whip, with the objective of launching her to the ground with all his strength.
Should Tomoroko wait, she would frustrate his strategy and he would only try to land a knee to her stomach in a quite clear and avoidable movement. Word Count: 715

As Tomo remained hovering in the air after her blasts connected with Natto, it became quite obvious just how tired the girl was getting. She had used up a lot of energy in her ki blasts and she had taken quite a bit of damage in the process. Her breathing was laboured and it even hurt her to do that as one of her broken ribs irritated her lung. She brought one hand to her side, to cover where those broken ribs were as if the action would make that pain go away.
She kept her eyes the whole time on the spot where Natto had been and most likely still was. he was covered in heavy smoke thanks to her barrage of attacks, and while she knew that didn't finish him, she wondered if it even did anything at all. As the smoke cleared, she quickly assessed the amount of damage she created as insufficient. His arms were slightly burned from her attacks, meaning that, at that moment his body wasn't conditioned to take that sort of onslaught without it leaving a scratch. Good... that meant he didn't have an insane true power level.
"I can't... I can't remember where I l...learned it really... any of it..." And she wasn't lying. Truth be told she was fighting this entire fight on instinct, letting her body guide her for most of the battle as if she was just learning how to fight all over again.
She heard Natto's voice raise ever so slightly as the male saiyan charged forward from his position and b-lined it for her own. Obviously, they weren't done and that caused Tomo to chuckle faintly. She was so tired at this point, whatever she did now to defend herself would most likely be her last ditch effort to show him what she could do... and it was just a repeat of what she had just done.
She brought both hands forward again, charging up her ki and firing one ki blast after another towards the male saiyan in hoped of slowing him down. However, her own reaction time was nearly null as Natto flew up above her blasts, spinning in such a way that his tail came smacking down behind her head. It launched the young saiyan towards the ground, slamming her directly into the dirt.
She coughed and wheezed upon impact, shakily bringing her arms up to get her face out of the dirt and serving only to flip herself onto her back. She lay there, panting heavily as she closed her eyes trying not to pass out.
"I.... think th...thats all... I've got..." She panted out with a faint bloodied smile. ---------------- Word count: 447

His strategy worked very well. The moment she fired the ki blasts, Natto flew upwards, rolling his body for his brutal tail whip counter, sending Tomoroko straight into the dirt, opening a big crater as her body landed on the ground. Natto immediately turned around, staring at her. The young saiyan girl coughed and wheezed as she hit the ground and, with some effort, she managed to flip herself over onto her back. She was completely exhausted and really injured, which made Natto grimace, as he felt sort of guilty for pushing her so hard. ”But I don’t know any better way to train someone… That’s how it was been for me my whole life…” he said to himself, trying to feel less bad for beating Tomoroko so bad.
She said that it was all she’s got and he nodded, landing right next to her. The moment his feet touched the ground, the ground beneath him cracked, due to the weighted battle suit he was wearing, also making a loud noise. – I’m really proud of you… You are brave, resourceful… And you are strong! You are almost on an elite level… - he said, being very sincere. Natto himself was almost at Tomoroko’s power level when he got promoted to an elite warrior.
Natto kneeled beside Tomoroko and gently held the back of her head with his right hand. His left hand grabbed her by the back of the knees as he gently lifted her, in order to avoid hurting her any further. Slowly, he slid his right hand from the back of her head to the upper part of her back, getting up as he did that. – Okay! – he said when he felt that she was safely held. – We need to do something about those injuries now… - he said with a kind smile on his face. He had blushed a little when he held her on his arms, and she could feel his heart racing quite a bit, accelerating from the moment he held her on his arms. Suddenly, his face got serious and he sighed.
– I’ll help you remember everything… And I’ll do my best to take care of you while you get strong enough… Then, I promise I’ll not bother you so much… If you would rather follow your own path! – he blushed a little more as he said that, and he gazed away. He was feeling nervous. Natto still didn’t have anyone he could even call a friend, and saiyans were usually loners on their own ways. He didn’t quite like being lonely and even though Tomoroko was kinder than most, he wasn’t quite sure if she was the sticking around kind of person. He really hoped she was.
After that, he slowly took up flight, heading towards the medical facility in a short pace. It would take a while to get there at that rhythm. Word Count: 488

"Ha-ha... I hope you're right.... I'd like to...to think it would... make them proud..." She wheezed out slowly, not even protesting when Natto knelt over her and scooped her up from the ground. She probably could have walked if she really put her mind to it, but then she'd most likely puncture a lung or do something stupid that would land her in a healing pod for a few extra hours. For some reason, she absolutely hated being in that thing, she'd much rather heal from her injuries on her own but it seemed that lately, all of the damage she received would have her recovering for months. This way would just be more practical for her training. She could sacrifice a little discomfort to get stronger faster.
When Natto mentioned that her power could almost be that of an elites, she couldn't help but smile. She really hoped that was true... it would be insane to think of the fact that she was born low-class with nothing to her name. Maybe one day she'd even become strong enough to be a guard or something as fancy as that, if she decided she liked whomever was on the throne of course.
"Thank you Natto... I know you'll stick with...with me and uhm... well I don't know... it feels nice to have someone w...who cares you know? Even when I am... s...stronger... I'd be sad if you left...I know that s...sounds stupid." She said gently as she took in a deep breath and leaned in against him. She could hear his heart racing, but thought nothing of it. Maybe she had just really put him through his paces while he was wearing this training gear? She'd definitely like to think that she had.
"Oh... hey Natto... do you think... we can find out... where I live... once we h...heal up of course." She smirked up towards him. She'd like to start with basic memories... like where she lived, and if there was anyone there waiting for her. ------------ word count: 336

He gulped when she spoke. Tomoroko said exactly what he wanted to hear: she wanted him to stick around even when she got stronger and that made him blush so much that his cheeks looked like a tomato. However, he was smiling in happiness. She would be sad if he left, and he would be sad if he had to leave. When she said that it sounded stupid, he shook his head in a negative way. – It is not stupid… I w-wanna stick with y-you too… - he said in a shaky tone, since he was embarrassed to say that out loud, but it just felt right. After that she leaned against him, making him feel a warm feeling taking over his body, with butterflies inside his stomach and shivers down his spine.
After that she asked if they could find out where she lived, once she was fully healed, to which he nodded. – Sure thing! First we’ve got to consider our options… Like, did you actually had a house, or did u rent a dorm like most of us, who were born on lower classes… - he mentioned that with a thoughtful expression. With that sentence, though, Natto told her that he wasn’t born a member of the elite of the saiyan army, meaning that he climbed his way up. – I, myself, live in a small rented dorm on the slums of the city… Well… Couldn’t ask for much, though… I spent most of my life abroad, conquering planets… Truth be told, I just managed to buy myself a new spacepod. – he said, chuckling a bit since he was admitting he was rather poor. – I might start saving up some money to buy a house soon! Maybe you are a rich girl, right?! And have a fancy house and stuff?! – he laughed with that thought, trying to lightening the mood, as he got closer to the healing facility, the same one he took her the day they met. Word Count: 334

"Thanks Natto... it's really weird to n...not remember anything..." She began then stopped her though when she saw the same place as the day before approaching. Well, another few wasted hours in a healing chamber and they would be able to start their search for her home. Whenever Natto began mentioning the posibilities of where she lived, she began to think hard on it, but then chuckled when he mentioned she might have a fancy house and actually be pretty rich.
"Hah, yeah and maybe im actually a saiyan princess. You should j...just take me to the palace as soon as possible." She teased him back, chuckling softly at the thought of it. It was ridiculous, but none the less amusing. Truth be told, she doubted she had anything more than Natto apparently did for lodgings... if she was out on a mission with her team, that meant that they needed the money. Depending on how long they had been on missions for meant she might not even have a place to stay at all... judging by her age, she might even still live with her parents.
"Hey... isn't there a registry... when low class saiyans t...take on jobs? Maybe we could h...have a look there and see if I... I registered any information..." She offered. She really wasn't sure if there was a registry, it just made sense to her that if someone wanted to take on a job, you would want to know who they were and how to find them. They had to get paid somehow right..? --------------- word count: 260

She found his theory funny, which made him chuckle too. Can you imagine? Being a saiyan princess, but a really nice one, on a complete different from that arrogant Luffa guy that he met on the war meeting a couple weeks ago. Then, when she brought up the assignments registry database, he nodded with a smile. – That’s exactly what I intend to do while you heal. – he said. ”To remember the mission assignment registry… Maybe she still has some fogged memory on how things work!” he thought to himself, feeling quite happy with that. – It would definitely help if you still had your scouter, but I’ll request a new one while you heal too. – he mentioned, as he got inside the facility by one of its windows, on the side of the building, where there was barely any soul roaming around.
As he got in, he headed straight into the room where the kagami named Nabana worked. The Kagami sighed at the sight of them. – Again? – he asked, with a bored tone, to which Natto responded by shrugging. – You know the drill… Also… While she gets healed, I’ve got something I need your help with… Something with the mission registry. – he mentioned, to which the kagami doctor sighed again, heading to the healing pod to set the machine to heal the sort of injuries Tomoroko had suffered. The young saiyan carefully put her inside the machine and smiled. – You also need some armor! I’ll see to it too, okay? Just focus on getting better! – he said, smiling to her and, after that, he took a few steps backwards, as Nabana closed the door on the pod.
As the liquid started to pour inside, both Natto and the kagami went to a side-room nearby, to look into the computer they had there. It would take quite a while, but Tomo’s healing would also take a few hours. Word Count: 325 [Finishing Thread. PL for both!]
