PL; 5, 758.
Some days he wondered why he had bothered to stash his pod so far away. But then he remembered that people, when finding something new, tended to do the most logical thing upon its discovery. Check nearby for either the source of it, or an explanation as to why it was there. Which meant he couldn't risk being nearby because in the event of a discovery, well... they would look for the first alien in the vicinity.
And nothing screamed alien like a segmented tail and spikes on your shoulders and head.
So here he was, still flying south, still trying to get back to his pod. Below, farmland stretched as far as the eye could see, and he fancied seeing the glowing red of his own Ki reflected in the swaying stalks of crop, or off the leaves of fruit trees. Flying had its own benefits, of course, in that it relaxed him - at least somewhat. But that was a subject for another time. The other, less-often-a-benefit-benefit of flying was that you ran into more power levels as you went.
Such a thing was occurring right now, just below him. Frowning to himself, he folds his right leg across the other at the ankle and then crosses his arms across his chest. Rotating so he was vertical to the ground, or 'right side up,' he lowered himself down and into the fields. No visible Ki-aura, no nothing. Just a weird, spiked alien with a covered mouth lowering itself to the ground outside of someone's home.
Nothing to see here, folks. Nothing to see here.
Except whoever had a power over 5 here.

PL: 5,835
There were some things that were normal for Earth; flying cars, houses that came out of thumb-sized capsules, bipedal anthromorphs. It wasn't even considered impossible to spot someone flying in these times. However, most tended to fly at a rather relaxed pace and not with their aura flaring the whole way. So when Tenshi spotted a red flare approaching, he was instinctively cautious.
He had no idea who it was, much less exactly what it was. Of course, it was obviously apparent that this was not a human nor was it a Saiyan. This was, by encounter, Tenshi's first true encounter with an alien. Perhaps it was the spikes, or maybe not being able to distinctly see its mouth, but Tenshi was unnerved by this being. This unease wasn't something that he could really pin a concrete reason to. Something about it just felt... off
For a moment, he simply stared at the being with guarded caution. It hadn't opened up with any sort of attack yet, and he had no definitive reason to think the alien was hostile. Perhaps it was lost or was looking for someone. The question then became though... if it was looking for someone or something, what in the world was it doing in the middle of a farm out in the middle of nowhere? As far as he knew, this area was wholly unremarkable. No major industrial areas, no rare or valuable materials or products, no research labs, nothing at all that would attract the attention of an alien.
Then his stomach sank.
Except another alien... a half-breed... like me...

The three toes of his foot curled into the dirt, as if testing it for it's strength. Head canting to one side inquisitively, Boreal studied the figure before him. If it smelled like a monkey, spoke like a monkey... looked... dejected like a monkey? That didn't add up. What was going on here. Blinking red eyes in momentary confusion, the alien dropped his arms to his side, sharp black nails now blatantly obvious.
What was this monkey doing on a farm? And where was his tail? He knew a Saiyan when he saw one. It was their abundance of musculature that did it. You could see a Saiyan's pectorals a mile away. Hell, you could land a starship on them half the time. It was like they spent their time in the womb on a bench press because they had nothing better to do while floating in the womb.
What an odd mental image. Now Boreal was distracted. He looked distracted. He had distracted himself.
"Apologies, monkey. But what are you doing...," the alien stretched its arms wide to encompass the farmland, "...here. You have confounded me, a feat not too easy I assure you."

He blinked. Tenshi went abruptly from cautious anxiety to outright confusion. The alien had flown out all this way, in the middle of nowhere, and wanted to ask... what he was doing with his day? And the casual racist remarks... Wait, racist or speciesist? Whoever this being was, it was obviously arrogant. What remained to be seen however was whether or not it had any reason to be so.
"I'm helping people." Tenshi's voice came out loudly enough, though he could hide the mild tone of hesitant confusion that it carried. After all, how often did one have an alien land in their front yard and ask how the weather was? Wait, doesn't literally everyone who I meet have that happen to them? Because I'm an alien? But wait, am I an alien? I mean, I was born on Earth. But my father... He dismissed the thought from his head and leveled his gaze back on the short alien in front of him. Nevermind. Thought for later.
His tail twitched around his waist, an unconscious tick that betrayed his anxiety. This felt off, it felt wrong. He had come here to help, but there was something about this being that just sent the hairs on the back of his neck on end. "What do you want?"

Oh, he did have a tail. Boreal was going blind - that wasn't good. Perhaps he should visit the eye doctor. But all the doctors here were human... Boreal sighed. He just couldn't win. This was what he got for staying on a planet of humans. Scanning his head back and forth, Boreal looked for the people being helped. He found none. "So uh, where's the people you're helping?" He asks.
An obvious question, but one he felt needed answering.
At least tall and pectoral-y wasn't asking questions back. Now that would be awkward. Answering questions with questions never ended well. Not that this was guaranteed to anyway.
"And I wanted to know what someone with a power level that high was doing out in some farmland. I doubt you got this far by tilling ground. This dirt." It lifted a clump with a three-toed foot, small grains of brown trickling out from the digits. "This dirt doesn't put up much of a fight."
The creatures brow darkened, as if to say 'and neither will you', but nothing was voiced.

That nebulous feeling of unease settled into something uncomfortably more concrete the more he heard the alien speak. There was a casual disregard in his voice that made Tenshi feel like he was talking to someone who thought nothing of kicking a small animal... or worse. It made Tenshi's brow furrow almost imperceptibly in disapproval. He had never done well with bullies. They were always that one thing that could goad him into a fight, even if he was outmatched or outnumbered.
"What business is it of yours where they are? And what does it matter to you what I do with my own time?" There was an undertone of agitation in Tenshi's voice as he spoke. He did not at all like how this being was acting and presuming to be entitled to anything he wanted. This was, of course, exactly the sort of response in his youth that would earn him a split lip and a busted nose. And yet there was that tiny, Saiyan part of him that wanted this to get violent.
This alien, whoever it was, was obviously a step above the usual. Thus far, Tenshi had not encountered any Earthlings that seriously challenged him after he took to pushing his own limits back in his teen years. Now, not only did he find himself face to face with an alien, it was an alien who was apparently rather familiar with Saiyans; enough so to be so casually dismissive and derogatory towards them. That meant it had to have something to back up the bravado and ego, right?

"It's the business of a curious onlooker being told helping is going on, but there is no helping to see." The alien says, mildly irritated by the question. Oh well, nothing he could do. "And it matters to me because you have far too high a power level for a simple farmer. So what gives, hrm? Big nasty dinosaur come and the farmers couldn't handle it themselves? Or are you just so disappointingly attached that you can't leave home."
An accusation. A barb. A goad. It didn't matter, it was something and it was pointed. Verbally so, but that hardly mattered. That saiyan anger was building, not that it was hard to tell. It was like a firework going off next to your head. Impossible to miss, even if you wound up with a blown eardrum as a result.
"Tick, tock, farm boy. The goats need some lovin'."

"I-" He started to respond, but found himself cut off by the insult. His brow twitched in obvious agitation now, and he could not help but let his tail uncurl and swish violently through the air. Tenshi considered himself by now a disciplined person. It took great care to avoid crushing a normal person's hand or ripping a door clean off its hinges. By now, he had run the gauntlet of insults and was basically unfazed by them. But this alien...
Unlike the Earthlings who insulted him as he walked on the road, this being truly believed that Tenshi was an inferior being, a simple primitive, by simple merit of being born with a tail. That belief was biting and it caused his blood to boil. To come out in the middle of nowhere and find a stranger, uninvited, and then insult them so brazenly... His hands began to curl into fists without conscious thought.
But he did not take a step. Instead he let out a quiet, calming breath that seemed to drain some of the tension out of him. His gaze did not falter, however, nor did it lessen in intensity. But it was clear that he was still trying to avoid engaging in a fight, if only barely. "I think its past time you leave and be on your way."

The hackles were coming out. Monkey was getting a bit of a temper. Boreal was quietly thankful there wasn't a full moon or this would be awkward. But there wasn't, so he continued to be condescending. "Why? Do you need privacy? Aren't they a little too loud for something like that?" Normally he wouldn't look a giant monkey in the mouth but this was just too easy. Under his mouthpiece, Boreal wet his lips.
This was going to be juicy. Absolutely juicy.
"Ok, so, I have a question. What does a monkey-goat look like when its born?"

Tenshi was positively pissed now. His entire body began to shudder in barely restrained rage. There was still a part of him that did not want to be goaded into a fight like this, that was sure that there was more to this alien than a mouth and lack of manners. But his Saiyan blood would have no of it. His pride had been insulted, and he would not take such a blow lying down. This alien obviously wanted a fight, and it was going to get one.
He bellowed in pure anger, his blood singing in his ears, before he took a step forward. Distantly, Tenshi recalled the first fight he had after he had really begun to push beyond the limits of most Earthlings. The boy had been easily a head taller than him back then and had taken to pushing around a weaker kid for fun. He had not had as much control on his temper back then and was quickly brought to a boil. Tenshi had always made it a practice to be efficient in his training; use the minimum amount of force necessary to accomplish a task. So when he snapped out with a kick, he had expected the boy to double over or stumble.
He had not expected the boy to be thrown back bodily more than a dozen feet. It was then that he learned the hard lesson of what he capable of, of the damage that he could cause if he was not careful. It was that caution that sang softly to him at all times, keeping him from ever exerting much effort in his tasks. But there wasn't a reason to hold back here. The farmer and his wife were not present, and there weren't any bystanders to worry about. So in that one step, Tenshi let his restraint down.
Rock crumbled beneath his foot as it dug into the earth for traction. As soon as it found it, he coiled his muscles and lept forward. With restraint, or perhaps in a friendly spar, he would simply use that effort to carry himself forward to his opponent. But Tenshi was well and truly pissed. This alien had goaded him into a fight, and he was going to get blood. So he flooded his body with ki and accelerated well beyond his normal limits for a brief moment. Unless this alien was a good deal stronger than Tenshi believed, he would almost appear to vanish for a heartbeat before reappearing just as abruptly to bring a knee forward and towards the alien's smug grin.

There it was, all that rage, let go in one glorious instant of letting his self control go. Maybe he did bang goats. Boreal didn't care in the slightest, it was none of his business. But it got under the monkeys skin, and that's about all he cared abo- and then the Saiyan was gone. Where did h- "OHSHI-" and then he took a gigantic knee to the armored face and stumbled backward, absolutely frothing with rage.
Pain. Induced. Rage.
"Oh, well then." He retorts, shaking himself out. They were almost even, but that guy was fast. Far too fast for him.
He needed to tip the scales.
His aura returned, great flames of red growing around him before going blindingly bright. Within, the creature shifted, changed. The horns grew longer, thicker, sharper. Muscles expanded, filling him out until he had a physique to put even the Saiyan to shame. Flexing, he found himself growing in height as well, aura shifting to accommodate everything. A new form - one he'd just learned.
One that he would put to the test.
This time, when he spoke, the voice was a baritone rumble. "That was your free hit." Now, almost twice the height of the Saiyan, the alien resumed his smug grinning. This time, said grin was fully visible. Still, the damage to his face lingered, showing just how telling the impact had been. This wasn't going to be easy, speed could still trump brute strength, but that wasn't to say this form was any slower despite its size.

His knee felt that connection. If the alien had been human, or perhaps not had an armored covering, Tenshi could almost hear the sound that would have come from breaking its nose. While he had meant to follow up with a kick to the head, he had inadvertently used too much power and sent himself sailing clear past the alien. The ground cracked as his feet hit the ground and he kept sliding for a short distance before stopping.
As he stood up and prepared to launch himself at the alien again, Tenshi froze. For a moment, he didn't quite comprehend what the alien was doing. However, as the muscles shifted and it began to grow, Tenshi realized it was beginning to transform. Rage began to cool, turning to trepidation before solidifying in perfect sense of dread. Before, he had stood a head taller, or more, than the alien without effort. Now? Now he was easily shorter than the alien. It looked wildly different from before, considerably more imposing. Just that simple difference in visage produced an altogether different response. Before, the alien was a smug prick. Now? Now Tenshi was looking at a terror.
The rage began to return, taking the edge off that anxiety. Doesn't change anything. Just makes him a bigger target. Tenshi jumped backwards, adding a little more distance between the two as the transformation was winding down. Bringing his arms up, he extended his hands forward and together in an almost fan-like pattern. Green light began to gather in the palms of his hands before growing to the size of a small ball. But he wasn't quite done. "Ryooo-kuuuuuuuuu..." The light began to increase in intensity. He had perhaps one shot to make this work. He wasn't sure what now the alien was capable of, but he was going to take any advantage he could get.

The creature stood still, frowning faintly as it folds its arms across its now overly massive chest. "Well, that's no fun." It says as rocks shift to accommodate his opponents feet. Part of him wanted to let the Saiyan charge the attack, see what would happen. But another part of him didn't want to let that happen. For all he knew it was one capable of piercing through even his thick skin, and he was rather fond of not being dead.
Which meant only one thing - he was going to have to respond.
Respond, don't respond... respond... don't respond.
Indecision was killing him.
What would be no fun? Him blasting this guy away immediately. So he stood there, and waited. That's how sure of his victory he was. He was just going to take it.

He had expected a counter attack. Tenshi's muscles were coiled and ready to spring to action to get him out of danger the heartbeat he need to. He was ready to have more insults thrown at him, fists thrown against his gut. He was ready to endure anything he had to in order to gather his energy and hit this bastard with everything he could. It had been a really long time since he had been this enraged, and Tenshi was ready to see it through to the end.
What he had not been expecting was nothing.
The alien did not move. It did not attack. It just stood there, like it was daring him to attack with everything he had. It was so sure of itself, it considered him so insignificant, that it believed that nothing he could do would hurt it now. It thought so little of him... And that just made Tenshi even angrier. He was not some pathetic child. He was not a monkey. It was not weakness to help others. He was not weak.
Something inside him snapped. While still charging his attack, suddenly Tenshi's viridian aura exploded in a display not unlike what the alien's had done just moments before. The ground began to crack, and rocks began to shudder and fly into the air as Tenshi felt his anger boil over into heights he had never felt before. The ball of energy was much larger now, perhaps the size of a basketball. Whereas before its surface had been smooth and calm, now it was beginning to take on a more violent, jagged appearance as his power surged. But still, he did not fire. This alien thought he could take whatever Tenshi had to throw at him. He was going to make it one heck of an attack.

He knew trouble when he saw it - truly he did. The ground cracked, the metaphorical temperature in the kitchen rose, and suddenly not dodging wasn't looking like such an attractive proposition. Frowning a little, eyes widening almost imperceptibly, he cocked his head and tenses his muscles, ready to actually move out of the way now. He wasn't going to go through the trouble of his true form just yet.
After all, he'd barely worked out how to use this one.
His frown deepened. At least with the man charging an attack, he wasn't going to be suddenly appearing behind him to unleash it. Which meant this was going to be easier to get around, hopefully.
"Don't keep me waiting." He goads, lifting a finger to fire a quick-snap of a Death Beam at him (Attack PL; 9597).
