In round two, it was indicated that Akkuman was someone that Oguma hoped to fight then. Then it was Azurai Oguma hoped to fight, but being the demon he was Oguma was a forgetful, stupid creature oftentimes and had not realized that the guy known as Akkuman, the demon he had wanted to fight, was already in a hospital from a brief fight with him in the arena. You see, even though Akkuman did appear during round one it was one of the shortest fights in Budokai history. Not much can be said of it or really round two since Oguma found his second foe Azurai may have chickened out or been too busy to come. But that said, round two somehow concluded for him after round one with victory in both. Even though in round one he had to go as far as to nearly break every bone in his fellow demons body, and then had to go out of his way to turn five monks substituted for Azurai in round two into a pile of groaning bodies.
There just was no challenge for him yet at this tournament. But now that Oguma thought about it. He was certain he did have a round one match at some point in the near past. It just took him nearly an hour or more to remember what happened.
--
First, Oguma remembered stepping into his spot on the other side of the arena. His opponent Akkuman did the same and tried to spread his large wings to scare him. It did not scare the young demon though as the crowd cheered their names. They by watching each other for nearly five minutes after that and when the gong rung for the match to start both demons charged. Their hands clasped together in the center of the arena and both used the force of their bodies to push against one another.
Oguma, being the demon he was though, simply was not using his full power. He did not respect Akkuman at all since fighting spirit was something the old geezer could not have anymore in his opinion. The demon Akkuman shoved Oguma with his great strength slowly towards the edge of the arena, but about half way there Oguma broke free of his grip and kneed him in the stomach three times. Then he grappled the back of the poor guy's head, took a step back and slammed his face into the floor. When he was done with this, he simply dragged him around the arena while Akkuman tried to resist by digging his fingers into the arena floor. This left large scratch marks in the floor and the normal human gathering that existed in the arena watched in awe as Oguma, someone who looked human but was actually demonic, tore apart the pride of a clearly demon looking guy.
Oguma bared his fangs and when he did whirled Akkuman around like a club till he was ready to throw him. The poor demon opened up his wing flaps as he was sent hurling towards the arena's edge though. Oguma, seeing this, jumped up into the air and grabbed his back punching the back of his knee until Akkuman dropped like a rock in the center of the arena. There was going to be no use of technique in this match just pure strength. The reason was demons were so strong with their techniques most of the time that they would often be inappropriate for use in such a small area. Oguma, if he wanted to, could use them, but there was a chance he would break the arena and witness the gall of his fans and others. So rather then mess up the tourney he decided to play by the rules for now and used his feet to kick the tired, old Akkuman out of the ring.
The match was called after he did this and the winner was Oguma. He pumped his fists into the air and cried, "This is round one! Round two will be even worse bring on whatever you've got fighters!"
Unfortunately for him, the crowd found that his match was not as fun as they wanted so they started throwing things at him. One such thing was a paper bag of popcorn with a rock in it. And this item is what struck him in the side of the head. This is why Oguma lost all memories of round one until the end of round two. Luckily, there was barely any damage to his skull, just memory loss, so the tourney considered him fit for round two just as long as he did not forget important things like his name.
And that my friends... Is how Oguma got to round two of this great battle. Do we expect him to come back with a vengeance? Probably... His desire to fight within this tourney is strong, but without tough opponents things just seem wrong for him. Perhaps future rounds can provide more foes. Only time will tell.
