Kayle was slowly awakening. He didn't know where he was or how he got there. Something didn't seem right. The last he knew he was slowly crawling across the throne room floor. Now, now he seemed to be floating. He was still half unconscious. Something seemed to be around him. Thicker than air. His eyes burst open as he realized he was in some sort of thick, viscous liquid. As his eyes opened, he immediately shut them again, them burning not being accustomed to the whatever liquid he was in. Good thing was, he realized, was that he could breath. He slowly reopened his eyes, allowing them to grow more accustomed to the liquid. Everything was dyed green. So that was it. Someone had taken him to a rejuvenation chamber. Kayle discerned that he must have healed up by now, at least to the point where he was capable of going it without the tank, if not on his own.
Kayle viewed the room he was in from within the healing tank. He saw no one. Not a doctor or an assistant. Nothing. How was he to get out if not one was around to let him out? Kayle didn't know what time it was, but surely, even if it was late, there would be someone on duty to monitor the people in the tanks. They must be either not paying attention, or on break, or something. It didn't matter why they weren't here, the fact that they were was more than frustrating. He continued to scan the room. Still no one. Where the heck were they? It was like a ghost town out there. What could be going on that there was no one monitoring the tanks? Kayle had to get out. He was starting to fell claustrophobic in here. He hated these tanks. He must have been closer to death than they thought if whomever put him in here thought he needed it. That Vennel, she was a strong one. He didn't think there was a saiyan that was that strong. She had earned the right to rule, at least in his eyes.
Screw this. It was time to leave this place. Kayle lifted one of his hands, preparing to blast through the tank. If no one would let him out, then he would get himself out. As the energy gathered in his hand, a person walked in and saw what Kayle was doing. Shocked the man screamed, "Wait stop, what, what are you doing?! Do blast the healing chamber!" Kayle allowed the energy to dissipate. He couldn't talk submerged like this, but instead gave the man a glare. He wanted out and tried to convey this. "I don't understand what you want. You are here because this tank will speed your healing. Relax and let the tank do its job." the man said to Kayle. This was unacceptable. Kayle must get out of this tank. He began to charge the energy back into his hand slowly, all the while still staring at this man. A stare that said "Let me out or I'll let myself out." "Ok! Ok! If you are that determined to get out I'll let the fluid drain.
The fluid began to drain through a small hole in the bottom of the tank. It was draining slowly, to slowly for Kayle's liking. It seemed to take forever. Kayle was still a little groggy from being blacked out. The fluid finally finished draining and the screen holding it in started to lower. Kayle lifted his hands and arms and removed the breathing apparatus from his face. Kayle stumbled forward out of the tank, almost tripping over the lip of the small sliver of a hole where the glass screen retracted into.
Kayle was completely naked, save for a pair of soaked white shorts. He looked directly into the mans eyes, "Where can I go and get cleaned up?" he managed to speak. "Here is a towel, you can dry off with it." the man replied. "And my armor, where is my armor?" The man merely walked out of the room, not responding. "Hey! I asked you where my armor was!" Kayle demanded. Kayle felt his power spike and he was caught of guard by it. "What the... I couldn't gather such power that fast before?" Kayle quietly mumbled to himself. "Surely that fight allowed me to become stronger, I wonder how much." Kayle contemplated powering up here. Should he do so? No, no he shouldn't. Even with his old power he might damage something, with this new power he surely would. The man walked back in with a suit of combat armor. "Here. The one you were wearing was surely old, and certainly crumbling and barely holding together after your fight with the new Queen. The empire has fashioned a new suit made for you. It looks just like your old suit, but it's brand new." The man said to Kayle.
Kayle took the suit from the man, and pushed him out of his way as he prepared to put it on. He felt the fabric of the pants. It seemed to made out of a different material. Or maybe it was just that it was new and less worn? He slipped them over his legs, and put the boots on over them. They were stiff. Yep, this all was new alright. These boots would need broken in. He put on the armor itself next. It was tight. Tighter than he remembered. Did they make it the wrong size? Wait, there was no size. Saiyan armor was made to stretch and contour to the body, so that it allowed them to use the saiyan warrior's true power, that of the almighty oozaru. Maybe the armor and boots weren't tight and stiff at all, perhaps he spent more time in that tank than he thought and his body had just become unaccustomed to it. Either way, it didn't matter. If it was because it was new, he would break it in. If it was because his body and grown to being used to be with it, he would retrain it. Some flimsy piece of armor wouldn't hold him back from being a true warrior.
After putting on his armor, Kayle looked over to the man who had let him out of the tank, and brought in his armor. "Hey you, where is the knew Queen located currently? I have matters to discuss with her." The man glanced up, "I don't rightly know, but don't think that you'll just be walking up to her. She is the knew Queen after all. I'm sure the elites will prevent you from seeing her again. I mean the last time you were with her, you to did fight, and you did rough her up a bit before she unleashed her true power. Or so the story goes anyway." Kayle smirked and laughed to himself, "Let the elites try and stop me. I don't think they have the power to do so any longer." "So, you are saying you are more powerful than the elites?" The man asked looking perplexed. "I don't know how powerful I am now, but I think I could have taken out the ministry myself now, much less some 'elite'". Kayle mentioned in passing. The man laughed out loud, "Still over confident I see. Well you do what you will, surely you could beat me, I'm not even a warrior, so I'd be no match. I just hope not to see you in here again."
Kayle blew past the man without even bothering to reply to him, heading toward the exit. He had to find Vennel. He had to know how she had amassed such power so fast, and what that special liquid was that allowed her to power back up to full strength. The only way to find out was to find her and ask her, and hope that she would be forth coming with her answers. He knew that he couldn't force it out of her from their last fight. She was likely even stronger now than she was before.
Kayle headed for the exit to the room he was in. It emptied into a hallway, with bland and bare walls. The best place to start looking was to check the last place he saw her, he supposed. Problem was, he had no idea how to get back there. Kayle, being a 'mongrel that lived in the slums' had never been in the ministry building before. Was it still called the ministry building? Surely not. What would it be called now? The capital building? The royal building? Who knew what Vennel would have it called. All he knew is that he had many, many questions, and he had to get answers. Even if he couldn't find Vennel herself, maybe one of her entourage had an answer. Perhaps they didn't, but if he found them maybe they would know where she was? While thinking about all this, Kayle walked along turning down this way and that way.
Amongst all of this, Kayle realized something. He had forgotten his scouter! That had cost him 500 hard earned zeni! Kayle raced back to the room. Wait, was it this way or that way? Kayle was completely lost. He would have to find someone and ask for directions. Kayle continued down the hallway he was in. Soon he passed another saiyan male in his own armor. "Hey, you how do I get back to the healing chambers?" Kayle asked the saiyan, rather bluntly. He looked over and sized Kayle up. "Well, well the half-breed finally makes it out of his rejuvenation tank, and seeks to get back in? Already need more healing?" the saiyan man taunted. "Just tell me where the damn chamber is, damn it!" Kayle demanded of the man. "You had best watch who you are talking to, half-breed. The Queen may have taken it easy on you but I will not. Keep that tone with me, and I'll make sure that you never see a healing tank again." The saiyan sneered. "Just tell me where it is. Don't start something that you can't finish." Kayle simply stated. Without his scouter, he had no idea what the mans power level was, but then again he really didn't care either. He just wanted his scouter, which to him was expensive, so that he could be on with his search. "I'll teach you! You don't know who you are dealing with!" The saiyan man would yelled. He went in to punch Kayle in the gut, which Kayle dodged effortlessly. "Why must we do this, just tell me what I want to know. There is no reason for you to get hurt here. I'll give you one more chance." Kayle stated matte of factly. "RAGH! Half-breed I will beat you to the ground!" The saiyan began an assault that most assuredly would have beaten Kayle before. Now, however, Kayle was able to dodge, block, or misdirect all of this mans blows. "Hmmmm....... Impressive. Now it's my turn." Kayle began to assail the man with such blinding speed that the man couldn't keep up. He didn't stop. Kayle just kept beating the man. Over and over and over again until the man was barely conscious. "Now, before you pass out, tell me where the rejuvenation tanks are, and I just may take you there so that you may recover faster.
"O.. Ov... Over... there! Down the hallway, take two rights, then a left, and walk through the door in at the right of the hallway." The saiyan managed to answer. "Well, it looks like I have to lug this guy with me to the chambers. I can't make myself a liar no can I?" Kayle stated allowed.
Kayle followed the directions of the saiyan he had easily beaten. He took two rights, and left, just as instructed, however he didn't recognize this area. He walked to the end of the hallway. There were two doors on the right. "Useless elite wanna be." Kayle sighed. He began to open the door closest to the end of the hallway. As he entered he noticed the same man that had given him his armor and let him out of the tank. Kayle dropped the saiyan he was carrying to the floor. "You there. You forgot my scouter, hand it over." Kayle said to the man. The man ignored Kayle and ran to the man that Kayle had plopped on the floor. "What happened to this man?!" the man demanded. "Oh him? He was foolish enough to attack me. I warned him not to." Kayle answered. "Now, how about my scouter?" The man was shocked, "This man was an elite, and you beat him?! It looks like he didn't even hit you!" Kayle looked rather unimpressed. "Some elite, huh? He didn't even last 2 minutes. Now, my scouter, before I get mad, and do to you what I did to him." Kayle claimed, not in the least bit kidding. "But this man needs help!" The man exclaimed. "I don't give a damn about this saiyan elite wanna be! He should have just told me where this place was and I would have been on my way." Kayle retorted. "You attacked him because he wou-" The man was cut off. "My scouter, NOW! I don't have time for this!" Kayle demanded. The man quickly ran off and retrieved the scouter and threw it at Kayle. "There, now just let me do my job." He said. After reattaching his scouter to his head, Kayle headed toward the exit again, but stopped just short of leaving and looked back. "Oh and to answer your question, no I didn't attack him because he wouldn't give me directions. I didn't attack him at all. He attacked me. I merely finished it." With this, Kayle exited the room, beginning his search for his new Queen and her crew once more.
