There’s something pleasant about an oasis after a long journey.
Kahr spends most of their time traveling in one form or another, zipping across the world to where they are needed. Mostly, they try to avoid mid-journey breaks, but sometimes they are a necessity. This oasis in the middle of the hot, burning desert is one such necessity. Deep, clear water surrounded on all sides by trees with large leaves and some strange, bulbous purple fruit.
The oasis itself is easy to spot from the air – the shimmering waters are a clear giveaway, and if that weren’t enough, caravan traffic here is heavy. Even now, there’s a group of nomadic merchants with their ragtag, patchwork vehicles parked up on the far side of the oasis to Kahr – they seem content to just refill their water supplies and be on their way, and Kahr is inclined to leave them be for now too. There’s other company the Bio-Android is enjoying dealing with.
Kahr was wearing their usual outfit; loose white jacket, white pants, and brightly polished black shoes, though they have also added a wide-brimmed white hat to the ensemble to protect against the desert sun.
In most scenarios, the androgynous Bio-Android can seem quite intense, dashing from one place to the next or focused intently on the task at hand. Perhaps they still are, but now that the ‘task at hand’ was relaxing after a long flight, they were indulging themself with an almost aggressive amount of indolence.
The sky above was bright blue, dominated by the burning orb of the sun beating down relentless rays on the Bio-Android’s prostrate body. Sprawled out next to the oasis, Kahr had got three large, fleshy purple lumps of fruit next to them, and a flask of water which they’d just refilled. A fourth one of the mysterious fruits had been neatly dealt with – half-consumed already, the interior of the fruit is a startling shade of yellow, and it was apparently very, very juicy if the way it ran down Kahr’s chin is any indication.
The other half of the fruit, though, was being shared by that company mentioned earlier. Gathered about Kahr are half a dozen desert rabbits, and Kahr had lazily extended the opened fruit to them – entertained by the way the little fuzzy critters scurried to lay claim to the pulpy interior. A soft smile drew itself on the Bio-Android’s tanned features. Moments like this were, perhaps, what made life worth living.

Kaito reached his small bag on his back, and hoped he'd luckily find anything there, but no result. He rolled his eyes and cursed at his stupidity for eating all the food supplies he had collected. And they were a fruit of blood and sweat, such as completing tasks for the rich or helping those in need. His face was all sweaty, however his eyes looked so prideful for all the work he had done so far, and for the contribution he had given to this world... needless to say, be them good or bad.
This dessert was never ending, until the moment Kaito would stumble upon some faint, almost muted voices. They were loud, considering how they were heard all the way until here, the middle of the dessert, well not anymore. This pumped up Kaito, he had finally come across some place people would take a break. Maybe there was food there, and for this, Kaito started dashing towards the voices were coming from. But it was sure difficult running through the sand, as it always your feet would get stuck around it. Despite this, Kaito decided to think of this the positive way. Let's just consider this as an extra training... for his legs. Yeah! With this mindset, Kaito had no trouble, at least until he arrived at a grand oasis.
The fresh and rainy air that were a product of the small waterfalls of the oasis, were some memorable moments for Kaito, hell, if not the best he had encountered so far. He immediately rushed to the edges of the oasis, passionately drinking the clean and cold water. This created some awkward situation, as everyone was staring at this lunatic little guy who had ignored everyone and went all the way to the water source. But hey, body's needs should not be taken this lightly. Kaito apologized for everyone by lowering his head a little, giving off a slight smile showing his honesty. The waters that he had drank now, were flowing throughout his body, making Kaito feel normal once again. Now, he would look around, while biting on some fruit while also generously giving other species a share of his food.

The dashing Kaito causes Kahr to get up on their elbows, and the Bio-Android raises an eyebrow at the sight as the blonde man guzzles down water and then sets in on the fruit like a man possessed. Kahr actually laughed, and then immediately felt bad about it. The Bio-Android could empathise with the hunger, that’s for sure. Standing up, and leaving the rabbits to enjoy the fruits of their labour, Kahr wanders in the direction of the newcomer.
“Hello there.”
Kahr's voice, when they announce themself, is surprisingly clear despite its soft nature. Each word is spoken with careful pronunciation giving the impression that the Bio-Android is picking each word with very deliberate care.
A raised hand, and a cheerful smile from the slender, androgynous figure as they take in the blonde. The sight is an interesting one, the poor guy was obviously starved, and it looked like he had seen better days if the state of his clothing was any indication.
“My name is Kahr. Are you alright? It looks like you needed this place even more than I did, and I was not sure that was even possible.”
Kahr smiled after that, dipping their head low, and then gesturing in a loose wave back to the small patch of oasis that they had laid claim to, tucked away from the hubbub of the traders, with the rabbits and the fruit. “Would you care to join me for a rest? Just relaxing in the shade can be a great help. I think there is still quite a lot of desert to get through before we are near anywhere even approaching civilization.”

Kaito had just finished kindly waving a goodbye to the creatures he had given a part of his food to, be them humans or animals, Kaito considers everyone the same. By this time, he heard a fearless, safe to say confident voice which sounded very good to one's ear, so good that despite what they said, you'd be distracted by those tones. What was standing in front of Kaito was a weird looking human. The best part was that Kaito couldn't tell which gender they belonged to, not that it matters anyway. With a tanned skin and their hair resting on their shoulders, they made some serious shadow, which looked like it had conquered the sun's power for a second.
"Hello there!"
Their hand pointed at the very Kaito's being, and their look examining his appearence, about time it reminded Kaito about that. He had cared about anything but that until now. His hairs were all over his face, covering it and also stretching out to his shoulder side. His gi was ripped off but you could still consider it legit. The once soft skin he had before, has transformed into a shell looking one, like a wild animal. This just showed Kaito's determination for survival and training. He couldn't care less about his looks anyway but he felt a little embarrassed. Carefully hearing what the folk said, Kaito replied while scratching his hair slightly.
"Aah, you saw that too. How unfortunate, it sure was embarrassing to say the least, but I was really amazed at my luck for finding such a nice oasis in this terrible dessert. Now I'm alright, enjoying the tropical and all kinds of fruit here, and the few people that are here are nice enough for a positive conversation, that we're having right now. I'm called Kaito Zen, nice to meet you Kahr."
After what he spouted, Kaito followed Kahr to where he was heading to, seemingly to rest under a shade. What a nice decision for an exhausted traveler like Kaito who had walked days to arrive here. "Say, for how long are you here? You seem familiar with this place." Kaito constantly maintained the same steps to have a certain distance between him and Kahr, while tilting his head from left to right, seeing all kinds of creatures jumping and running around, also harassing their kind in their own way. A small bird swifted right in front his Kaito's face, which raised of some of his hair. For the poor bird's bad luck, he was eventually grabbed tightly in the possesion of Kaito, who was curiously staring at him. They finally sat on the ground, not caring about their clothes getting dirty or anything relating that. Kaito was genuinely having fun with the bird who was desperately attempting to escape. "Hierarchy is what made this world this way it is now, Kahr." Fondling the bird kindly, Kaito let go of it, which enthusiastically swinged their wings, leaving off some feathers behind.

“A pleasure to meet you, Kaito.”
As they settle down on the ground, the Bio-Android’s clothing bulges oddly about the stomach, and then seems to reform back – it only lasted for a second or so, it’d be easy to miss it, but it definitely happened. Kahr tries to smooth down their jacket as though it hadn’t, and instead pick up another of the oddly-shaped fruits as their new friend talks.
“That is an interesting perspective.”
Kahr’s eyes drifted to the bird as it struggled in Kaito’s hands, their lips pursing as they consider what they are looking at. It seemed cruel to Kahr, but they weren’t about to make a big deal over it; it was just a bird, after all, nothing worth getting too upset about, unless things got… excessive. Kahr's voice remained quite calm and contemplative as they speak, one hand did drift down to scratch a rabbit behind the ear, though.
“I suppose I can see the logic in it. The world is made of systems, and systems are made of hierarchies. Cause leads to effect, which in turn serves as the cause for another effect, and so on, and so on. Sentient species are unique in their ability to create hierarchies which are not purely dependent on force, but ultimately, all authority is derived from the ability of the enforcing agent to coerce unwilling subjects to bend to their desires.”
The musing goes on for… a while, as Kahr speaks. It is as though they are drawing on something they had memorized rather than something spur of the moment. In truth, they were going back to the pod – where the Doctor’s computer had informed Kahr about the way the world worked – this was one of many ways of understanding relationships… and as an artificial being, even one grown from the cells of other sentient beings, it was important to ensure that there were many different frameworks in place for them to understand how to interact with other sentient beings.
Suddenly, Kahr jerked – as though waking up from a daydream.
“But you asked if I know this oasis. No. I have never been here before.” They smiled, but it didn't quite touch those oddly yellow eyes, “It is pleasant though. I may make a habit of it in future.”

The break they had when no one was talking, severely punctuated the overall atmosphere they were setting on. Some murmurs from the caravans were heard, hardly, but definitely. The water springs everywhere, making a nice combo with the killing sun which its light is mirrored in the waters. The birds were flying away and some were coming, meanwhile the rabbits which had escourted them all their way here, as if they had this land in possession and couldn't take their eyes for a second off them. Kaito was really enjoying this atmosphere, whilst hearing Kahr's talkings.
"That's pretty interesting, that view of yours. I think we both know idealism in this current system is in vain. This miracleous power we posses, Ki, can be pretty power corrupting. All the beefs now are dealt with fist, and we both apparently have adapted to this really nicely. The scholars' time is long gone. Now, we all crawl for our survival."
The blond haired young man tilted his head several times to the sides as to refresh his thoughts again."I have always liked these concepts, but I think it's ridiculous, those words coming from me. My appearence says otherwise." Kaito carefully observed Kahr's face expressions as he was talking about his idealism, and took important notes of it. This rare folk was... well, rare.

“Oh, I would not say that.”
Kahr smiled faintly, and beneath their clothes, their tentacles shifted once more, making the ‘human’s’ stomach twist oddly under the outfit. The rabbit Kahr had been petting is suddenly seized - in order to hide its attempt to scurry away - and is instead lifted up, brought into the Bio-Android’s lap so it can be more thoroughly stroked.
It does not seem nearly as comfortable as it had mere moments before.
“My… father.” That word, father, is the first that the Bio-Android spoke without absolute certainty; a momentary hesitation which is only really noticeable because of how confidently every other word had been enunciated. “Had great faith in the system. In the end, I can not say it served him well, but I believe there is room for hope.”
Leaning back, Kahr turned on their side so they could view Kaito more freely. “Tell me. Have you heard of a group called the Blue Banner Army?”
Whether Kaito has or not, Kahr feels compelled to continue. “I work with them. Together, we strive to use our power to help the ordinary men and women of this world remain safe and protected. More than that, we wish to make sure that they are not dominated by those who would claim that power alone is important.”
Their head tilted back, and Kahr’s eyes gleamed as they looked towards the burning desert sun. It was a beautiful sight, no doubt. This whole place was a haven of peace and beauty in a harsh and unforgiving landscape. Perhaps it was just that the journey to get here had been so terrible, simple pleasures like water and shade seemed that much more enticing. Whatever the cases behind it may have been, it would probably do Kahr well to remember the importance of these lessons in the future.
“My father.” Now the word came more easily, without the weight of uncertainty behind it, “Believed that knowledge was the most important thing. He believed that when people understood how the world worked, they would unify in order to make it a world worth living in, and that there would be no force – martial or otherwise – that could prevent such a glorious rise. That was what led him to…”
Another hesitation followed, another moment of uncertainty; how best could it be explained? This is interesting. Kahr had not had the opportunity to speak with many other individuals with the ability to manipulate Ki who weren't already part of the Blue Banner Army. They didn't want to take it too quickly; after all, the man might react poorly to the discovery he has been talking pleasantly with a being that ate others on a regular basis. How much did he know about such things? “Educate me in the way that he did. I do not know if his dream can be made a reality, but I know that there is more to life than survival, and that I am at my happiest when working with others.”

Kaito noticed some abnormality in Kahr's clothes, but as everyone would do, he didn't put much importance to it, he simply took it as the work of a natural occurrence. Not to mention he was distracted by what Kahr was citing, about time he'd reveal a little about his past and relations. Kaito ran his hands through his hair to set them in the right order and shifted his look back to the flowing waters that were beside them. "Blue Banner Army? Well, sorry but I haven't heard of such affilation. The name sounds like a ill-craving group, however your describings about it seem completely different. And, the man standing behind this group is your father... Hmm."
Kaito gathered his legs together, and put his chin against his knees, whilst he looked away with all his nsotalgia about his former homeplace. The happy moments flashed right in front of his eyes, and smiling briefly over the fact the fact that he had to leave that place, Kaito continued. "I come from a small village called Tiger Village. It was such a good place to grow up, really. I had good relations with everyone and overall lived a satisfying life. However to continue my lineage's tradition, I had to live a life, not resembling to everyone's. I was bound to leave that place sooner or later, because my blood flowing in my veins is made to cross fists. I realize your father has been a firm and respectable man, who stayed loyal to his ideas until...
What I'm saying is, this so called power we are... abusing right now, has its roots deep milleniums ago, it's impossible for knowledge and co to prevail against this. It is indeed true, at least I'm sure of it, that survival is not the only thing life can offer. But what other things it can, that I'm not sure. I am not the man you need if you seek education.." Kaito finished what he had to say, but he was unsure how the folk would react to it, maybe a soft agreement or a violent disagreement. "If you don't take it too personal, what happened to your father? And what do you still maintain stable connections with your group?"

Kahr's brow twitched just a little bit when Kaito referred to the Blue Banner Army as an 'ill-craving group'. "You really have not heard of them?" The Bio-Android asked, "I am... surprised." Then again, as Kahr listened to the rest of what Kaito had to say, it makes a little more sense. This man is from a very small village, by the sound of it; despite their best efforts, the Blue Banner Army hadn't yet spread to every place in the world. Still, the phrasing of the blonde man is quite ... odd.
"You feel bound to your fate by your heritage." Kahr said, softly. Looking out over the still waters, Kahr's hand stopped stroking over the rabbit in their lap, and they nodded their head slowly. "I can relate to that. But I do not believe that we are abusing this power. At least, I am not - perhaps you are. We have only just met, after all."
The Bio-Android gave a lazy shrug of their shoulders. "My father died. He was an old man, these things... happen." They sighed, turning their attention back towards the blonde man next to them. There's no hint of violence in the Bio-Android. Really, they seem almost terminally laid-back, despite the fact that Kaito just told them that he has a lust for battle in his blood.
"I believe that the Blue Banner Army are the best hope this world has for peace and protection. I enjoy the relationships I have built there, too. It gives me a purpose to fight for."
Kahr didn't seem concerned at all that they might provoke some violent response from Kaito as they continued, one eyebrow raised slowly along with their words. "Do you fight only to get strong? Is there nothing that you hope to use that strength for? Without purpose, I find it hard to imagine what would drive a man towards power. If I only fought for my own survival... how would I be different to any other animal?"

The question Kahr addressed to Kaito, made the latter sink deep in his thoughts while listening to what he'd fully say, simultaneously gazing around the oasis. He closed his eyes slowly and in one quick moment, Kaito'd stood up, leaving off some puff of smoke as he did so. He wiped the grains of sand off his robes and started doing strange body gestures to refresh his thoughts, even if a little bit.
"Listen, Kahr." That seemed weird, cause Kaito felt utmost comfortable with saying his name, as if they had known each other for too damn long. "First off, I'm sorry for your father. He sounds like a great man who fought for his ideas until his bitter end. I strongly have the tedency that, if more men like him would have existed, this place would be different... by a lot. And you're doing good continuing his legacy, by helping and caring for the good, while fighting the bad. Sounds like a superhero tale right? Well I loved them as a kid. But I say you this, it is extremely difficult, for your intents to get fully satisfied. There are many stronger beings than you, me and everyone in here."
Kaito felt a little hungry again and chewed on some fruits again, this time consuming it in a more regular manner, whilst remembering his lunatic moments slightly before. He simply gave a noticeable smile towards Kahr's question, which seemed somewhat intriguing and curious. This question was done to Kaito many times, and he still hadn't found a right answer for it. As he finished the fruit, and hurling the remainings away for some birds that happened to be there. "Me, huh? Well let's see... I seek the ultimate power which exists in this dimension, and by putting good use of it, I think I can make something, great." Kaito had proudly said those lines, having a stable smile on his face as his wind ran through his hairs.
"How about we walk, Kahr"?

"A... superhero story?"
Kahr looked a little surprised at the description. A soft growl issued from beneath the Bio-Android's jacket, and they raised themselves up from the ground, stretching lightly as they did. "I am sorry, my stomach." They said, as though this were an explanation before looking, intently, at the rabbit in their hand.
But that would probably put a dampener on thing, so the fuzzy little critter is released as they stand and tuck their hands in their pockets, wrapping the coat tight about them. "There are many strong people in the world." Kahr agreed, easily enough. "There are stronger beings still in the galaxy. Saiyans. Arcosians. A thousand other alien races which might have the potential to destroy our little blue planet."
Falling into step beside their newfound friend, Kahr continued to speak- it was nice to have a relaxed conversation for once. "But as I said, I have faith in brains over brawn. All these beings, great as they may be, are scarcely a unified force. The saiyans fight amongst themselves almost as much as they fight everyone else, and the Arcosians ... well, they say that the only person an Arcosian is truly loyal to is themself. They are not unified. That is what I hope will keep the Earth safe. Not any one of us individually, but all of us, working together to bring peace and stability to the galaxy."
Kahr paused, realizing that - really - towards the end of that little speech it was far less a 'casual conversation' and far more a 'proselytizing rant'. The Bio-Android smiled bashfully, looking a touch embarrassed at their little outburst. "You must think that terribly naive, Kaito. Perhaps I am. But... I am also, younger than I look. We are all meant to be a little naive before we become..."
Another hesitation, picking the words very carefully indeed. When spoken, they contained within them a hunger. Deep, burning, gnawing intently within the seemingly-peaceful young 'human'. It might have been a bit disturbing, depending on how closely Kaito had been paying attention, because the sharp, predatory beast within is - ever so briefly - visible in Kahr's eyes.
"Fully formed."
And then the moment has passed, and Kahr is all smiles and good nature again, laughing a gentle laugh at their own silliness, as though nothing had happened at all. "Is that not right, my friend?"

What Kahr said put Kaito to some thoughts, which he was unable to reproduce them any futher and simply discarded most of them by regretting he had gotten this far with all this philosophical talk. Ironically, though, what Kahr was saying had some truth traits, but Kaito subconsciously denied such statements, in his mind. The blone haired boy sighed depressed and put his palm in his forehead, he was all warmed up and his blood was boiling inside. Looks like his cells finally got to their true nature. Lowering his head as he'd strengthen both his fists, you could clearly see all his veins all over his body. A wild and violent white aura would emerge from his very body, as it'd coat him. This would create a little sandstorm around Kaito. That once peaceful young boy, who had a carefree and innocent smile, would strongly give the vibes of a demon-like creature who only lusted for blood. Awkwardly, in an instant, all this intense situation that was created would be simply trashed away by sudden power suppression from Kaito. His face was returned to normal, however he still had that serious look.
"I apologize for my barbaric response. This has simply flushed away all we did now, but this is what I'm best at. We are getting no where with this talk, watcha think?"
He still had his fists clenched like that, as he had his worst enemy right in front of him. "I want us to have a friendly, harmless spar right here, right now before you lots are ready to unfold your beliefs acorss the galaxies later." This, of course was what Kaito truly believed. This time, he had full determination.

Kahr stepped backwards when Kaito’s aura explodes about him, their hair whipped up and eyes widening in a show of genuine shock. The Bio-Android can’t sense energy, but they don’t need to in order to know that there’s an incredible… pressure surging from within their casual companion. Something dark, perhaps even malevolent, and most certainly violent. Kahr would never have believed it if they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes; the young man had seemed so casual and laid back until that instant, and suddenly…
Thankfully, it didn’t last long before the more relaxed attitude reasserts itself, but the moment was still worrying. In fact, as Kahr brushed their hair back into place carefully, a shiver ran down the spooked Bio-Android’s spine. An apologetic expression settled over their features instead.
“If… you truly insist, then I suppose I could spar you.” Kahr says, slowly, “But if I am honest, I am not sure such would be a wise thing, my friend. It seems we both have inner demons we must conquer. It, may not be the best thing in the world to tempt fate by crossing fists.”
Their tone was very measured, but Kahr’s body language told a different story – as Kaito continued to raise their fists, Kahr turned their body to the side, presenting as small a target as they could. Their front foot dug in to the sandy ground, and their back raised lightly, prepared to come up in defence should the apparent enemy decide to make good on the tentative offer of a spar…
… But it was clear that Kahr had been utterly rattled by the dramatic display in front of them. They’re no longer confident they know precisely what it is they are dealing with, or what condition they might be left in after even a ‘friendly, harmless’ bout!

A very interesting reply. This guy knew what he was talking about. But no turning back. After all that trouble to raise his power in front of Kahr, and then shamelessly accepting their suggestion to halt any violent movement wouldn't be so wise too. All you could see now in Kaito's face was a clear eye catching grin. And it wasn't because he lusted to see the person in front of him screaming in agony because of severe injurings, bone crushing, or anything inflicting pain. It was, Kaito hadn't felt this enthusiastic in a very long time. He was about to fight a promising and confident looking person. A weird one who has weird beliefs, well at least they are weird to the young blonde haired man.
"Well then, let's start our quest... of taming our inner little demons!"
That said, Kaito now entered a different state of mind. He could feel no longer what was surrounding him, or any feelings at all. All his might was concentrated on what would be one of the better moves. The foe had a admirable stance, after observing it, it was clear he was expecting a sudden attack which he would defend from. Well then, how about we give it a try? Crouching his knees softly, Kaito's mind focused on their stomach, but his eyes on their face. This could work as a good distraction and bait for him. Lanuching in a fierce dash, Kaito tilts his upper body somewhat to the right, simultaneously raising his right elbow. The enormous and well trained limbs of Kaito would completely covering what was behind the elbow, which was a supporting hand, giving even more momentum to the attack. Having this stance as Kaito entered the CQC range, he used his legs to slightly jump, in order to have a better form to attack. The elbow landed violently on their stomach, should it hit, they would be sent away flying. Kaito, as he landed from the small jump, struggled in inside. "Whoa, I actually did manage to hold back in this one!" This attack sequence raised off some dust, so Kaito stept back few centimeters and focusing on enemy's whereabouts.

"I really do not think this will help me tame--"
That's about as far as Kahr gets before Kaito's elbow is coming in for them. The Bio-Android yelped with surprise, and brought their arm down to block - the all-out nature of the leaping thrust is still enough to send Kahr hurtling back through the air, twisting as they do to try and regain some sort of vague control over their momentum. They are just inches away from colliding with a tree when they manage to reassert their energy and halt their flight. Kahr's eyes narrow at Kaito, and their lips curl upwards in something caught halfway between a snarl and a grin. In fact, if the noises coming from the Bio-Android's general direction are any indication, they are snarling.
They drop instantly back down to the ground, crouched low in the dusty terrain. Their fingers flex, and they pop their shoulder back forwards - the power in that opening blow had been... painful to deal with. Very well, if Kaito wanted to see what they were capable of...
The Bio-Android dashes back across the intervening distance, legs moving in a blur that kicks up sand and dust all around. Their style is... well, untrained. Kahr didn't attempt any fancy techniques, despite their ornate words. They simply lunged out of the obscuring dust, bringing both hands up and over their head in a crushing hammerblow, intent on dropping their opponent to the ground. For a 'friendly' spar, they're certainly opening up with a pretty hefty move - no intent at all to test or probe Kaito's style, just... smash through it like a juggernaut.
