I know I'm new here, but something has always confused me based on the Majin gender differences in recient DBZ games. I've always found it odd that games, and now this site, say that male Majin are all fat and all female majin are all lean. This makes no sense to me what so ever, especially given that the original Majin Buu was a male, and so small he was nick named "Kid Buu". The fat Buu doesn't even come to be until he absorbs that fat kai dude. I guess people could say that since when Majin Buu separated into Good Buu and Evil Buu, then the Good Buus are all fat, but then to me that would mean the females would be fat too. Both DBO and XV have this as well. So, I guess my question is this, why does this site use that stereotype? Is there any reason other than the video games giving reference to it?
To me personally, since you already make Majin choose between a magic attack or the ability to absorb, at least according to your racial profile of them, it would make FAR more sense to me if the "Magic" Majin were fat, and the "Lean" Majin were the absorb type, rather than having it based on the gender. This seems far more supported by the series. I mean the fat Majin Buu turned people into candy and chocolate like all the time, and while the lean Majin Buu -could- do so as well, he did it FAR less often, with the absorbing people directly into himself and morphing to look somewhat like them being a far more seen in this form. This was probably learned from reabsorbing Good Buu into himself, and not an ability that Evil Buu did on his own. In fact, Majin Buu would not have even had a fat form if it wasn't for him absorbing that fat kai dude. He also, to my knowledge(Which admittedly could be wrong so feel free to correct), didn't even have the chocolate/candy beamification technique until he was fat Majin Buu.
Doing this might actually allow people who want a fat female Majin, or a lean male Majin, to do so with out being a "transvestite" type character if you will. Anyway, this was just my own musings. Something I've been trying to make sense of before I even knew this site existed. Perhaps someone can help me out with this?

All Majins here are descended from Fat Buu and Mrs Buu. they're directly based on that pair. The reason Mrs Buu is more slender is because Buu created her based on a book Mr. Satan had lying around. Fat Buu designed her to look more like a regular human than him. All their offspring were based on the dimorphism between that original pair. Mr and Mrs Buu are pretty much the Adam and Eve of the current Majin race. There is slight variation, of course. Male Majins can be somewhat skinnier than the original, but they still have the overall pear-shape and round faces.
This is supported by the games with playable Majins, where all Majins are either the more Super-Buu-esque females, or the Fat Buu-type males.

I personally don't adhere to the view that Majins have genders, and nor to they necessarily, on this site's canon, have to be directly descended from Majin Buu, as was not the case on the previous site. However, they -can- be an 'Earth' Majin, or an entirely separate evil creation (this logic was from back when Buu was 'created' and not an entity from the beginning of the universe).

Well, Buu was a unique creation, so I don't really go in for the implausibility of loads of magic monster creatures running around who just so happen to be very similar to Buu. But in regards to genders, it doesn't really matter. New Majins are created from pieces of their parent/s' bodies, which are torn off and then blasted with magic that gives them life of their own. They don't -need- males or females.

Sure, but as a continuation of the last site, which had 'original' Majins of separate origin from Buu, it wouldn't make sense to not allow them here as well. I mean, a retcon wouldn't hurt, but meh.

In this case, I would prefer a retcon.
But then, I have no sentimental attachment to Resurrection. I kind of view it as the awkward teen phase that I've only seen a few photos of.
