[Medium Weights on]
It was good to be back on Earth. Though Cipher had found some interest in Vegeta, there's was nothing like being back under Earth's nice blue sky, and not having to deal with glory seeking morons wherever he went. Good thing Counselor Yamm had kept people off their backs while on Vegeta, or Cipher may have had to fight a lot more than just his son.
He had taken some time to rest before heading out. He had been curious to see how the reconstruction of the Western Capitol had been going in his absence. Needless to say, he was pleased with the progress. Most of the damage had been repaired, and only a few buildings were still in the process of finishing up (including the Turtle School dojo, which he had made a mental note to find its master and let her know). However, there was one thing he hadn't expected.
"You found something?" The android had been checking up on the progress when one of his soldiers brought this matter up.
"That's correct sir," the soldier in question spoke up, "We found it in the wreckage of the Capsule Corp facility. We thought we should bring it to your attention." Cipher nodded, remembering his comrade having blown up the building during Operation Downfall. "But why to me? Why not to the administrator?" The soldier paused for a moment. "You'll understand when you see it sir." He gestured for his commander to follow. Cipher followed him quietly as he was lead to where the construction team had set up shop. Along the far wall seemed to be a tall cylinder, covered by a sheet.
"Is that it?" Cipher asked as he approached the hidden object. The soldier nodded as he reached and pulled the sheet away. Cipher's eyes widened at the sight. Inside the container was a woman, pale skinned with long platinum blonde hair, dressed in what could almost be described as a Victorian style dress.
"You found her beneath the Capsule Corp facility?" Cipher murmured, though he already knew the answer. The soldier nodded. "Yes we did sir. Erm, what shall we do with her?"
Cipher turned to the soldier without missing a beat. "We'll bring her back to the Big Blu. I wish to know more about her."
Cipher looked down from the observation post, looking down on the android as she laid on the table. Numerous scientists were looking over her, inspecting her. As he watched, one of them, a tanned man called Doctor Majar, approached his android superior.
"What can you tell me about her?" Cipher asked, not even turning to look at him. The scientist cleared his throat before looking at the papers in his hand.
"Well, I must say, she certainly is an extraordinary piece of work. The scientists at Capsule Corp did everything. Artificial organs, bone structure, even synthetic muscle. It wasn't even so much they were creating an android, and more an artificial person. The only thing missing is a blood substitute. Though they never really intended to activate her," he explained in an accented voice.
Cipher turned to the scientist. "She was never to be activated? Then why was she built?" Doctor Majar looked down at his notes. "Well, we found the reason in the data you recovered. Years ago they were working on a project for artificial organs and body tissue, for organ transplants and grafts and such. It seems our dear guest here was just the results of those tests. They built her, simply because they could, and then stuck her in storage. The information says that they made a male as well, but from our reports, 'he' was most likely destroyed when the building came down. Our lovely lady here is very luck to be intact."
Cipher nodded, though there was still one question. "And her clothes?" The scientist shrugged. "No idea. Guess one of the scientists decided to dress her up. Pretty good quality too, though I'll admit its a little creepy." Cipher nodded. He had to admit, he liked the clothes. Added a degree of class to her.
"Can she be activated?" Majar nodded. "We figured you'd ask that and the answer is yes. Like I said, all we needed was something to act as blood. We're currently putting some in her now. We're also working to put in a basic personality as well as some knowledge into her artificial brain, just to save time in teaching her the basics when she awakens. If you want, you can be present when she wakes up."
The android nodded. "I'll be here until she awakens."
The hour had seemed to go on forever, but the scientists had assured Cipher that it was time to wake their sleeping beauty up. Cipher stood beside the table as the scientists worked, looking down at the android's face. Cipher couldn't help but find the beauty in her, mentally thanking Capsule Corp for putting such effort into her.
"We're ready when you are," Doctor Majar spoke up. Cipher nodded. "Very well. Begin the procedure." The scientists worked at their panels, and suddenly electricity coursed through the wires connected to the sleeping android. Her body jolted as the power when through her, jump-starting her internal systems, causing her artificial art to pump. After a moment, the current stopped and she laid still. Even Cipher was holding his breath as he looked down at the 'sleeping' woman.
Then, very slowly, the android's eyes fluttered open, revealing a pair of golden eyes. The first sight she would see was Cipher looking down at her. Cipher felt himself relax. It hard worked.
"Welcome," he said softly, not exactly the best greeting ever, but it was all he could think up on short notice.
"Wh-Where...?" she murmured softly, slowly trying to lift herself up. Cipher carefully helped her to sit up, the woman looking over herself and her dress curiously.\
"You're aboard the Big Blu, flag ship of the Blue Banner Army," he explained, looking over at Doctor Majar. "We gave her a very basic personality. She has the basic knowledge an adult human would know, but basics, such as who we are, need to be taught. Her likes and dislikes are also hers to decide. We wanted it to be as natural as possible." Cipher nodded, approving of the fact that she was allowed to be her own person.
Unlike myself, who was expected to be someone else.
He turned to the woman. "What's your name?" he asked before he could stop himself. Of course she didn't have a name, this was the first time she was activated! Well, perhaps Doctor Majar had given her a name.
"My name...?"[/color] she tilted her head, pondering for a moment before a small smile appeared on her delicate features, "My name is Porsalynne." Cipher turned a curious glance to Majar, who chuckled.
"Well, she is a bit like a human sized porcelain doll. Seemed fitting." Cipher wasn't too sure how to take her being referred to as a 'doll', but Porsalynne gave a soft chuckle, clearly taking it as a compliment. "I like it," she replied, "Sounds sort of refined."
She began to try and climb off of the table, only for her legs to give out under her. Cipher moved like a flash, catching her before she fell to the floor. "I'm sorry!" Porsalynne said, before giving an embarrassed chuckle, "I guess I'm not used to walking just yet." "That's quite alright," Cipher replied, helping her stand up, but still holding her gently for support. Doctor Majar gave a pleasant smile.
"Cipher, why don't you bring Porsalynne to a room to get her settled in? I believe Jettasin's is available after he left." Cipher blinked and nodded in response. Though he got the feeling that Porsalynne would want to do some serious redecorating when she got there. He couldn't picture her as the type to like training equipment and such he would expect to find in the Saiyen's room. Porsalynne smiled. "That sounds like a lovely idea. Lead the way."
Still holding her hand gently, Cipher guided the young woman out of the lab. As they began to walk down the corridor, Porsalynne looked up at him. "I never did get your name. Cipher was it?"
"Cipher 24, Miss Porsalynne." he replied cooly. Porsalynne smiled warmly. "Cipher 24...I like it."
Cipher couldn't help the feint blush on his cheeks, but it did seem to amuse Porsalynne.
