“I will get stronger. I will not stop until I become the strongest Namekian in the world...I can do this. Daiki taught me not to give up. I will do this..” The Namekian muttered to himself, slamming his yellow fist against the frigid mountain side. His hands/forearms were wrapped in heavily weighted iron shackle-like objects, as well as the rest of his new outfit. After taking up numerous jobs in the Eastern Capital, Astro had taken Daiki’s advice to heart. He bought himself some weights in order to assist his training. He had taken a break from training in order to earn the money for them. Actually earning it instead of living off of Sienna and Kaine was actually tasteful. It gave him a newfound sense of confidence and courage. He did something that would greatly aid his training all by himself! “Thank you Daiki Iranos.. Thanks to you, I can get stronger. I can protect Sienna. “ He was grateful to have met such a kind person. One that not only guided him, but helped him along his journey. Though he did not grow a substantial amount in their initial sessions, Daiki helped Astro out more than he knew. His yellow antennas danced from side-to-side as Astro bobbed and weaved, delivering immense punches to the mountain side. Being in the far north, the mountains were graced with some twenty-five foot thick layers of ice, making for a much harder yet more satisfying training dummy. Being raised in the north, the cold was nothing to the young Namekian warrior. He was accustomed to a plethora of hours in the cold training himself. He brought up an occasional knee in order to strike the rigid blocks of ice. The weights definitely slowed him down, a lot more than he could have ever imagined.
The impeding weights just began to aggravate him more and more. Even though he knew they were necessary, he hated the fact that he wasn’t strong enough for them to be useless. The anger only fueled his strikes. Each punch, each kick, each knee, each elbow, lathered in his dedicated sweat, shattered each and every bit of the ice wall before him. His power began rising immensely (For someone of his stature), and his body began bulking to gigantic lengths (About one foot.) Veins pulsated from his lustrous bald head. The vessel popped from his arms and neck, even traveling down towards his pecks. A lime-green aura surrounded his entire body, devastating the earth more with each and every hit. He slammed his pearly white fangs together, forming his hands into a karate-chop like form. He thrust his arms forward, allowing his hands and arms to penetrate the ice. Using his monstrous physical strength, the Namekian sank his keen white nails into the solid form of water. “Hrrrraaaahhh!” Astro leaned back, ripping a gargantuan chunk of blue-tinged ice from the mountain, tossing it backwards like a rag-doll. A small, feminine-like shriek rang out through the wilderness behind him.
Astro turned his now shrinking frame out to see a small, purple alien-looking figure. Obviously he had some sentient intelligence, and wasn’t a mindless creature like the Saibamen he encountered, seeing as he sported clothing and even.. a scouter. Astro swished the saliva in his mouth to one cheek before finally spitting it out in one big glob on the icy floor below next to him. He held his teal cape tightly wrapped around his flabby little body, shivering to the bone. To put it lightly, he looked absolutely frightened. He scurried from one side of Astro to the other, deliberately trying to avoid eye contact. “What the hell do you want?” The sudden break in silence heavily startled the little man, causing him to jump about ten feet in the air, all the while emitting a very heavy, exasperated toot. Just from his interaction, Astro could tell this guy could barely take down a small child, let alone a full grown Namekian Warrior. Hell, this guy was probably even scared of wiping his own arse. But that was besides the point. (No pun intended.) After making a complete fool of himself, the minusculealien made his way to his feet, holding a small metal disc out in front of him. “I-I-... I am here to deliver a message from the g-g-great Saiyan King G-G-Gurki!” Astro stretched his muscular arms behind his back, groaning. “Who?” The messenger seemed flabbergasted at the fact that Astro had no idea who this Saiyan was. "Y-Y… You don’t know who K-King Gurki is?!” The Namekian warrior shook his head, crossing his arms across his chest. “Should I?” “Yes! He is the gr-gr-greatest Saiyan King to ever l-live! “ Astro squinted his eyes towards the little henchman. How did he even find him? Though, Astro wasn’t necessarily lying low.. so it probably was possible, especially with a scouter. “I’m ready.” Astro wasn’t scared of this Gurki, but at the same time he wasn’t going to be stupid enough to underestimate whoever this was. He had done that before and almost got himself killed. The purple alien set the metal disc down, backing away to allow a hologram to project itself into the sky..
The hologram portrayed an unidentifiable body, though it was obvious someone was standing there. Their body was shaded out by darkness, so Astro really couldn’t tell who it was. Before he could make sense of any of this, the hologram spoke.. “Astropo.. or better known as ‘Astro’.. You don’t know me, but I know you. I’ve been watching you for quite some time. Especially your training with the Saiyan.. Daiki Iranos. An adequate fighter I must say, though he pales in comparison to I. You may remember a Saiyan arriving on your planet a few months ago.. you even engaged in battle with him alongside the human, Gochen. He went by the name.. Kassava, Noble Son of King Gurki.” The tone in the man’s voice went from confident and analytical.. to full of hatred and loathing ness.. “You and your human friend murdered my son. That’s not to say he wasn’t foolish for being absolutely generous to the both of you, but you killed my blood. And when you kill a King’s blood… he spills yours across his chest. You brought shame to my family.. and for that, I will kill you.” Astro gripped his fists tightly, advancing towards the projection. He was halted as the man, presumably King Gurki, continued on. “Now, I am not an unreasonable man, Astropo. I am giving you approximately eighteen months to prepare for my arrival. I will be approaching Namek in that time, I suspect you’ll find a way to the wretched planet. If you’re not there, well.. you’ll just be making it harder on yourself. If you do not show up on Namek in the designated time-frame.. I will destroy it. And when I finish with the garbage, I will come to Earth.. and I will hunt.. you.. down. You’ve been given a choice, and might I say, gracious gift. Choose wisely Namekian, because your choice depends on your race’s survival.” The hologram sucked itself back into the disc. The small purple alien was sweating buckets as he scrambled to grab the little disc. He nodded to Astro, before scurrying away. “Remember, eighteen mooooooonths!”
This was a little much right now. He had been given the choice of going to Namek and confronting this mad King head on, or waiting it out and letting him wreak havoc on Earth, the planet he loved so much. Earth had done everything for him, to keep him healthy, to keep him alive. The choice was obvious, but it was hard to say it out loud. He had to go to Namek. He couldn’t risk staying on Earth and having this guy possibly destroy it. There was only one problem with this decision; Sienna. Did he want to leave her behind? His friends here on Earth, namely Daiki and Gochen would probably understand his circumstances.. but Sienna. She thought her biological brother was stuck in a hospital when he was really dead, and her other sibling (Astro) was leaving the planet. Did he want to risk taking her and having her die from the future battle with the Saiyan King? So much weight on him in such a little time limit.. it killed him inside. He had to leave her here, even if the only way they could communicate was through a scouter, he’d fuckin’ buy one. But he honestly loved Sienna like family. If he could stop this Saiyan King from reaching Earth, which meant saving his friends and family, he would do it. Even if it cost him his life. He surged his orange energy around his yellow body, flying into the air. He was heading towards Sienna in order to finally tell her what has been going on, and about the events to come.
Astro lightly tapped his yellow knuckles against the wooden door. He had no idea how he was going to tell Sienna what all had went down, but he knew he had to do it. Secluded in the middle of the frigid mountains, it was rare for anyone to ever stumble upon this area. Save for a few elders that normally visited them from a resident village, it was quiet out here. The door slowly opened, revealing Sienna’s bubbly face. Astro immediately braced himself. He was expecting a full blown beat down. He clenched his fists and squeezed his eyes shut, only to feel her tiny arms wrap around his waist. She snuggled her face into his chest, mumbling. “Welcome home…” That was a relief. He honestly expected an earful. And really, he still did.. but for the time being, he would enjoy the serenity. He hugged her back for a short time before softly pushing his way into their cabin. She rubbed her eyes, looking past Astro for any sign of her brother, Kaine. “Where is Kaine..?” Just hearing his name almost forced the Namekian to his knees. He didn’t know what the hell to say. What was there TOO say? That her brother had died some months ago and he was now leaving to go fight an intergalactic battle against a Saiyan King and that he probably wouldn’t be back? “Sienna..” She closed the door lightly, cutting him off. Her petite fingers brushed the long brown mane from her eyes as they brimmed with tears. “He’s dead, isn’t he..?” Astro closed his eyes, slowly allowing his gaze to fall to the wooden floor. He just wanted to break down. This was way too much to bear. Seeing Sienna cry only made it worse. “Sienna, I’m sorry…” She had cut him off again with her warm embrace. She had a knack for doing that. Purple flushed through Astro’s cheeks as he fought to hold back the tears he’s been hiding for so long. “It’s ok Astro.. I know you did your best. He was always a knuckle-head… trying to take on anyone and everyone he saw. We both knew sooner or later this would happen.. And it would have happened way sooner if you hadn’t come along. Thank you Astro.. for protecting us all this time. For being with us.. Thank you so much.” Astro held her tighter. It might have looked a little awkward due to his overwhelming size compared to her small frame, but he didn’t care. The first part was out of the way. Now comes the hard one.. “Sienna… there is something else.” She pulled her round little face out of his torso, glancing up at him. “I have to leave Earth. I have to go to my people. Namek.” Although she didn’t seem too taken aback by this, she certainly wasn’t happy. “Why..?” They let each other go, allowing Sienna to put her hands on her hips with some sass. “I clashed with another enemy after Kaine’s passing. The man who sent the green monsters after us. Turns out he was a royal Saiyan, and his father is not happy about his death. He gave me two choices; Meet him on Namek in eighteen months to settle things… or he is coming to Earth. I don’t want to risk anyone here, especially you. So I’m going to meet him there.” She squinted towards her Namekian brother with a questionable look upon her face. “You have eighteen months! You can stay here until then!” Astro shook his head. That’s what he wanted, but it’s not what he could do. “And let my people die? I have to go warn them. “ “YOUR people? What the hell do you mean YOUR people? I am your people! Earth holds YOUR people! You belong here, Astro!” “Sienna, I’m sorry. I made up my mind. I’m going to Namek to fight. This isn’t only for them, but for you. I’d rather fight him there than risk battling around you and losing you.” It was easy to tell that she was fuming. Her eyes seethed with rage at Astro’s decision, but ultimately she knew him very well. She knew there was nothing she could do to change his mind. She squeezed him tightly in her arms. “Ok… but you better come back safe to me, do you understand?” Astro placed his giant yellow hand upon her head, lifting his eyes up to glare at the door. “I will.”
The next morning, the yellow Namekian had set out. The spacepod he had landed on earth in had only one journey left in it, so he had to make it count. He crawled inside, looking towards Sienna from the small, circular window. The inside was filled with cobwebs, but that would fix itself once he got going. Sienna walked towards the pod, and gave the window a quick kiss before returning to their large cabin. He wrapped the flabby seat belts around his hulking frame, barely able to actually wrap them around his torso. He was squished inside of the small pod, but he had to make it work. Astro had no idea what he was doing, so beforehand he acquired lessons from none other than Sienna. He pressed an assortment of buttons and levers, managing to turn the pod on. Fire burst from underneath, launching him into the air. He pressed his face against the glass, watching as the Earth basically fell from below.. 100 feet.. 200 feet… 300 feet… 800 feet… 2500 feet.. Before he knew it, he was in space. What was Sienna going to do while he was gone? Was she going to be ok? Could she defend herself? Would she try to come after him..? Would she even remember him? All of these thoughts flooded through his mind. She was all that was on his mind at the moment. He couldn’t get the image of her face from his cranium.. she had sent him off with a loving kiss on his pod. This might have been one of the hardest, if not THE most difficult task he’s ever had to overcome. Watching her beautiful feminine face fade away between the clouds and distance, he could only help but think how she really felt about all of this. This was mainly all to protect her. He wanted Sienna to be safe no matter what the consequences, even if he died upon the planet. At least she would be safe. The yellow Namekian wrapped his hands around the metal steering bars, gripping them so tighty that the finger indentations meant for someone’s hand actually imploded further. He didn’t know how Sienna felt about all this, but he knew one thing for sure; He was going to put an end to this King Gurki. He glowered at his reflection in the tinted glass pane, his eyes stabbing into it like rigid daggers. “I’m ready.”
The impeding weights just began to aggravate him more and more. Even though he knew they were necessary, he hated the fact that he wasn’t strong enough for them to be useless.
