wodsouls.freeforums.net/thread/2225/great-vipoi-crane-sensei-story?page=1&scrollTo=11764
The topic has just been started, but I wanted to provide more insight onto Reikiko's rise as the Crane Sensei.
Story-wise I'll be fleshing out her training under Tamako in a few training episodes, but to explain things a bit further:
The lack of popularity for the Crane School (a bit of a joke on that everyone seems to want to learn the Kamehameha) was explained to be because the latest sensei was essentially a bit of a hermit. Imagine the Turtle Hermit in DBZ, in that instead of training countless students, he tended to be rather picky (or maybe just lazy? =P) in his decision to take on a student. In this case the latest Crane Sensei was known to be a peculiar woman who denied plenty of students before, unknowingly to them because she considered her teachings to be the type that only a certain type of individual can learn from.
As it is revealed in the thread Tamako sought students who had a desire for power, but also a need for it. In Reikiko's case this need for power was in order for her to find a means to justify her existence/find a purpose. At the same time it was also clear that Tamako desired students who genuinely loved martial arts.
However, at the end of Reikiko's training the bio-android's sister murdered the sensei, and in the after-match Reikiko will attempt to carry on her mentor and friend's legacy as the next Crane Sensei. As explained in the thread Reikiko became incredibly fond of her, and also respected her, so it's a role she takes serious.
In essence Reikiko will be open to teaching people... However, her training method will involve having people seek her out icly (This can be done either by learning her status as the sensei directly from her... or by talking to one of the few npc students that the sensei had (you're free to send me a mail for information about that aspect). However, be warned that studying under Reikiko will be a process to be made through an actual story... So don't expect to just walk in, grab a gi and learn them fancy moves. While she will teach all of the moves, each of them will be considered a part of a story arc. Consider it like how Goku and Krillin had to do all those trials in order to be allowed to learn the Kamehameha.
But I'll update this post once the thread is officially done.
