Toma sat ontop a dense tree in Fukurou Forest. It had been a while since he'd slept well. He was tired, so very tired... the nightmares that plauged his mind were too much. The guilt, the self hate... it was tearing him apart. The only time he felt at peace now was when he was awake, sitting on a branch, staring at the morning sunlight. He smiled a bit, as he thought about his past. The warmness of his home, the happy smiles on their faces... a tear started to form in his right eye. Those happy memories now were one of the few things able to keep him going. Hell, he didn't even want to fight much anymore. He wasn't a warrior, or a fighter. Not anymore. He had failed not only in protecting his friends and family, but he had even been forced to transform into the Oozaru and killed them! How could he, a man who couldn't even save his own family, be relied upon to protect Earth?!
That was when he sensed them. Two other powers, not too far from here. One was far stronger than he was and another was almost as strong as him. He sighed, looking over in the direction of the two powers, but he didn't move. He didn't need to. If they wanted, they would find him. He didn't see a point in going to meet them. He wasn't going to risk another friend getting close and dying because of him. Not while he was still unable to fight the ones that were stronger than him.
So, he sat and waited in the tree, staring at the sunrise of the beautiful morning that blanketed the Earth. And he smiled. He felt glad that, at least, if there was a god of some sort, that he had still allowed Toma to witness a beautiful, soothing event such as a sunrise.

The hunter had left those two saiyans a while ago and had gone to his secret place near Fukurou, to sleep and think. Hearing that name, Hirugetsu, was haunting him. He had come to realize he misheard his father, thinking he had stated the name, 'Koregetsu,' when his father actually said, 'Hirugetsu'! Perhaps it had been the kick to the head Pieter needed to sleep, as his dream showed a faint image of Akio, or Tsuyei Hiuren, as he had introduced those few months ago during their spar. In it, he saw Zasho and 'Tsuyei' standing away from each other. He had bowed to Zasho, before stepping away in the infinite plane of white, melding with it to not be seen again. Pieter had called out, raising his hand, but then darkness swarmed once again.
He woke, the sunrise beaming him in the eye. He stood up, yawning and stretching his arms loudly. He looked around, wondering how long he had been asleep for? Ocean water crept up to Pieter's toes, reminding him that the day had just been beginning! With that sensation as well, though, he could feel the presence of another person, not far from he was... Vastly weaker, that he could tell, but the hunter was not one to underestimate. Perhaps this person had been dipping his power, to make it seem false?
"It's probably Waputhi providing a demonstration of power to the kids of the tribe... It's been a while since I last saw him provide a lecture to the young ones. I'll go visit hiiiiiii-hhaaaaaaaaaaaaaoh-im," Pieter stated, yawning loudly. An idea popped into his head, making him grin mischievously! He had just recently figured out how to conceal his power, so it wouldn't be like dinosaur stomping all over dead trees, so now it was the Wolf's time to scare the mighty Eagle!
He lept out of the enclosed beach, and begun travelling quickly on his feet. He controlled his breath, as he sped across the ground, to lower his energy carefully, to the point he seemed like nothing more than a bear's level of might, so that he'd be mistaken for a bear running near by.
The distance between he and whom he thought was Waputhi decreased quickly, but the spirit's force immediately caught his attention. There was not the mighty, wise, and happy emotion behind it. It felt... sad. As if it had been locked away and it believed it wouldn't be seen again. It had been hiding above the trees, whose branches had blooming flowers slowly growing as the days went by. The hunter shot into the air, to look down upon whom had this woesome spirit.
Pieter scanned the tree top with both mind's eye and physical eye, eventually coming across a man in a black with shaggy black hair and pale skin. The jacket, splayed across the leaves, could not hid the brown monkey tail attached the man's side. Pieter floated over, waving over to this gloomy man watching the sun rise. He called out, "Hello there, stranger! What's a man like yourself doing out here, in my people's forest?"

The power was getting closer. But Toma didn't mind. It didn't feel like an evil power. He simply sat, watching the sunrise as he smiled. He thought to his past. His master once told him that in order to protect those one cared about, one had to conquer their demons. Toma hadn't realized what that ment, back then. He didn't know about the Oozaru, what his master had been hinting at. But now, it was too late. He had failed to heed his masters warning and now he had payed the price. Everyone he knew, everyone he loved, they were all gone! And it was his fault!
Toma turned his head as he saw another Saiyan fly up to him. And yet, this Saiyan was different. Calm. Gentle. Like him. The other man asked what Toma was doing here, and Toma turned his head back to the sunrise. "Oh, hello. I'm not doing anything much. Simply watching the sunrise. As for my being here, I live in this forest as well. I was unaware that people lived here." Toma spoke, as he let out a sigh. He was trying to not break down again. He looked over to the man, noticing his tail. "Ah, so you're a Saiyan as well?" He continued, laughing a bit. "I didn't grow up around other Saiyans. I never expected I'd meet so many on this planet. It's a beautiful planet, really." He spoke, the sorrow and sadness prevalent in his voice.

"My kin tend to keep hidden, but we exist. Honestly, we've lived in this forest for many generations, but we originally did not have the saiyan blood in us," Pieter explained, lowering himself on a tree next to where Toma was sitting on. The saiyan seemed very occupied with the sunshine as he spoke. Sadness again trembled in his voice.
Pieter looked at the sun rise as well, nodding at the compliment to the planet's beauty. The hunter gazed at the rising sun, as he explained, "It is indeed beautiful. However, hidden in its beauty, and the metropoli of the world, hide gruesome ants that hurt the sanctity of its family, friends, and home. Some do not intend it and are tricked into it... But then there are those who know fully what they do, with their boundless might and intelligence. Demons hiding in pickled skin of good folk they had murdered or corrupted. Tell me, saiyan. How long have you been on this planet? What have you heard in your time here, and what have you, personally, experienced?"

Toma let out a sigh through his nose as he thought about what Pieter said. It was true, there were people that were tricked into killing, much like Toma was, in away. Then there were others who did it out of boredom or fun, like that Saiyan woman in south city. "I've only been here a few months, but I've seen the people you speak of. There was one I fought, in south city. A saiyan woman. She killed a shopkeeper simply because he asked her to pay for the meal she ate. I couldn't sit by and just let her get away with cold blooded murder like that, so I attempted to kill her. We fought, but she elluded me in the end." He continued, before looking up at the orange-blue sky now. "But, I suppose I'm no different. I was raised on a planet away from the Saiyans. I had a wonderful adoptive family. They loved me, care for me... I'd have done anything for them. I thought I had the strength to protect them, but when an evil force invaded, I was defeated. I had been forced to look at the light of the full moon strictly to survive, but... I'm sure you can imagine what happened next." Toma spoke, his voice shaking as one of his hands dug into the tree branch. "It was my fault, though. I should have been able to control that power. It was my strength that killed those innocent people... Even if I wasn't in control, it was still my fault for being too weak to have control of that power." He continued. The source of his guilt, now out in the open, was there for Pieter to judge if this man was innocent or guilty.
Toma wasn't sure why he was telling this man this, but perhaps, it was right. As an outsider looking in, perhaps this man could judge Toma without bias. Was Toma evil? Perhaps. Was he in denial? Maybe. But right now, Toma just wanted to know what another person, a stranger, thought of him.

"A saiyan woman... Strange. I remember coming across one early, who called herself Lady De-"
Pieter's mind quickly ran back to the two female saiyans in the past! One had been dishonorable, taking Pieter after his brawl with bald Saiyan when he met Nai-Ran, Naroka, and that dangerous wild man, Emer. The other had been Zucceta, a saiyan warrior who had been travelling with that Hirugetsu saiyan. Pieter's thoughts of worry, though, shifted from that woman Toma encountered to those of concern about Toma, in addition with his fear of losing control as an Oozaru! Memories flooding through him, as he rampaged through the Tournament grounds all those months ago as he tried to wrest control of his body from his instincts! It was a madness, this side that he shared with the saiyans... And Toma, it seemed as well.
The hunter stood up from his perch and floated in front of Toma, blocking out part of the sun as he did. Criticism came out, as sternness cracked into his face, "That is not a reason to become what you are as of now...! You lost control to survive! If your family and friends were in the same position as you were, they would have done the same..."
He paused for a moment, as he cracked his neck and brought his large hands up to crack the joints and knuckles. As he did this, he explained, "I was in this same position as yourself, though I did not take it to the extent you have, I have fought the beast inside of me, and wrested it into a cage to be tapped into whenever the moon shines above. However, I did not do so in time myself, as I had killed many in my own beast's wake... I am the unfortunate cause of this world's chaos, saiyan. My head still sits plastered on the boards of many a bounty hunter, but none for months have tried to hunt me down. The last barely escaped with their lives, which may be the reason for the attempts not coming, but that is another story in itself. For now, I must introduce myself to you: I am known as Pieter Wolfbane, and I will teach you to restrain your saiyan spirit, my melancholy friend!"

OOC: Sorry I kept you waiting this long.
Imagine you’re an spectator in a movie theater. You face the big screen, but the entire room is dark and mute. You see nothing, you hear nothing. Then suddenly, fragments of images and disconnected noises capture your senses, coming and going away. You see a building; you see people screaming; you see giant monkeys; you see a laughing mad man and a screaming girl. – “TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAO!” –
Suddenly, the scenery and your point of view change. You see eyelids opening abruptly, revealing hazel-green eyes with a reddish sclera invaded by veins, indicating tiredness. The face of a young man is revealed, illuminated by the first sunrays of the dawn. Birds are heard singing; as you become more distant from your object of interest, you see the youngster laid down in the grass, slowly moving his torso up so he can sit down. Shadows under his eyes show he haven’t been sleeping very well; actually, he wasn’t even expecting to sleep. Perhaps the good spirits of Fukurou Forest sympathize with that poor boy’s contorting soul and soothed his mind so he could get at least a bit of rest.
The young adult didn’t know how long he has been asleep. He has been wandering the forest for a while, without a proper destination, lost in his own thoughts and guilty. Guilty for being weak; the thought has been haunting him for a while now. He slowly stands up on his feet and scans his surroundings. He sees trees and green. His feet start moving on their own and he resumes his walk. If he was going home, if he would continue diving into the bowels of the forest, he didn’t think about it. He just went with the wind, wherever it would take him. Then suddenly, the wind started to speak. That’s where you start to question your sanity. Tao did. He cogitated interrogating it, but soon realizes the murmuring didn’t seem to be targeted at him. He followed the unintelligible whispers until he takes notice of two man conversing a few meters away from him. Hiding behind a bush, he crouches to take a peek at the figures. A strong, native-looking man and a tall black-haired dude in a leather jacket. He remains hidden, unsure of the duo’s intentions and reasons. Too bad for Tao that he can’t control his ki and suppress it to hide his presence as well…

Toma listened to the mans words as he spoke about a similar experience to Toma’s. How he had turned into a raging Oozaru, yet he had some how come back from the brink of madness to reclaim his mind from the beast. He also considered himself to be the cause of the world’s plight. Toma didn’t quite believe that bit. How was it his fault that evil saiyans were attacking? Or that a power of over one million had emerged? It didn’t matter, though. The man introduced himself as Pieter Wolfbane. A unique name, easy to remember. He smiled some as the man offered to teach him how to control the Oozaru, and Toma stood up on his branch, holding out a hand to the man.
“My name is Toma. It’s nice to meet you, Pieter.” He spoke, and he’d shake Pieters hand if Pieter decided to return the greeting. “However, controlling the Oozaru isn’t the issue…” Toma would continue onwards, as he looked up to the sky, in the general direction of where what remained of Sylor was. “It’s the fact that I don’t want to ever have to use that power. I want to be strong enough to defeat my foes without having to transform in the first place.” He spoke, as he clenched his right hand.
“The power that resides in our tails is something of mass destruction. That kind of power… I don’t want to have to rely on it. I don’t want to have to cause harm to more innocent people!” He shouted, before he sensed something. Another, smaller energy. Smaller than Tomas power, anyways. He turned, looking down at the bush where Tao resided. “You know, you don’t have to spy on us. We’re not going to hurt you. Come on out.”

Another presence came to them, another that was far weaker than Pieter. However, it wasn't the matter at hand, even if Toma had acknowledged the near by presence. At the moment, the ignorance this man had needed to be expressed and eliminated. Pieter retorted, "Understand this, Toma. This is forever a part of you. From the moment we are born, we are given these aspects because, regardless of the events that have happened in our lives, they are forever part of us. Whether you rip off your tail or not, the memory and the ghosts of the past will linger, trying to fix you, yet to only twist you up even more. Tail or not, you are a saiyan. Transformed or not, you have killed. That, though, is not what makes you whom you are. Your actions and thoughts together are whom you are...!"
He paused for a moment, letting out a calming sigh, before looking down at the person near by. It was a man with pale blonde hair, with a hideous scar across his face! How he earned that, the hunter had no idea, but he didn't ask about it. He stated, "My apologies for having ignored you there. I'm trying to give this man a reason to learn to control his saiyan instincts... Wait, you seem familiar... Have we met once before? Perhaps in one of the towns further east of here?"
Pieter hopped down from the branches to the ground. He stood straight and put his hands on his hips, leaning forward to get a better look at this person. Had he and this person met before or was he imagining it?

The scarred boy didn’t have any idea of what the duo was talking about. He arrived in the middle of their conversation and took a few seconds until his eardrums adapt to allow him to discern their words. The man in the leather jacket was mentioned something about tails and mass destruction. That sentence drew Tao’s attention to their tails; these two were saiyans… or at least had saiyan inheritance. The strong native replied with a bit of philosophy and by the looks of it, the man in the leather jacket had killed someone. That last part wasn’t good. But since nothing is so bad that it cannot get even worse, Tao would get an extra dose of bad luck: he has been found out. First, the warrior with the spiked hair called Tao out, affirming they wouldn’t hurt him. Not very easy to buy, since the shirtless fellow just let out this man killed someone. The tribal also notices their uninvited guest and provides a bit of explanation regarding his dialogue with the spiky haired man. Once he realizes there would be no point in trying to maintain his disguise, the blonde boy stands up scratching the back of his head in timidity to fully reveal himself to his new acquaintances. – “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to spy on you. I was just nearby and I thought I heard voices, so I came here to check it… Can’t blame a man for being cautious hahaha” – The youngster justifies, still a little embarrassed. The bronze skinned saiyan then brought up the possibility of Tao and him meeting at some point. Well… Tao’s singular looks would hardly have him confused with someone and upon a close look, he also had the impression that he has seen this man somewhere else before. – “Well… I’m actually from Ginger Town. I’m Tao Lung by the way” – The scarred man bows to the duo in a sign of respect.

Toma listened to Pieters words. Toma was a Saiyan. That was a fact. He could transform into the Oozaru. That was a fact. There was nothing he could do about any of that, except for maybe remove his tail. But he didn’t want to remove his tail. It was a part of him, part of his natural abilities that his parents had praised so much when he was young. To remove it… he felt that would be a dishonor to his family, despite it’s terrible power.
He looked back over to Pieter shortly after he had addressed the other man in the area, and he nodded. “Right. You’re right.” He spoke, before his tail wagged left and right behind him lazily. “I do need to learn to control the Oozaru, but…” He said, before looking Pieter dead in the eye. “If I transform, and I can’t control it… if I start raging out and harming innocent people again. You have to promise me one thing.” Toma spoke. If Pieter agreed to this, he would then speak what the promise was.
“You have to kill me. Right then and there. Got it?”
After that, he turned back to Tao Lung, and examined him. The boy appeared to have burn scars on his face… that must have hurt. Probably still did hurt to this day, Toma imagined. He knew enough about medical issues that he knew that burn pains never truely went away. Despite all of this, though, the boy seemed to be getting along fairly well. “I can’t blame you for that. Though, come tonight, I’m not so sure it’ll be safe around here anymore. As for Ginger Town… I’ve never heard of it. Forgive me, I’m still new to Earth.”

Tao Lung, was the name of the man... Strange. It sounded very familiar to Pieter. He scratched his chin and cheek, as he looked at Tao Lung closely. There was a resemblance... Someone that Pieter had met in the past. Scratching his blue and red tattooed face, whilst looking at this younger adult had Pieter's mind become achy. It was bugging him, as he stared at the dark eyes of this bleach blonde human, until he recalled the event altogether!
"Tao.. Tao! OF COURSE! You share your father's eyes and mother's nose," Pieter blurted out, "You must be the son of the Tao scientists that were near this very forest tw- No, three years ago! They were out here, to collect information about my Kin's Great Spirits, in the form of bones and fossils! The hungry Earth Shaper, Tyrannosaurus, had spotted their encampment and started chasing them. They were fleeing in their vehicles, while one of my kin, who were with your family, made their way over to us as fast as they could. We quickly chased, and in one mighty blow, I struck the beast down! We made sure your parents and the two others from Ginger Town and Cinna-Village were alright, before trying to continue our hunt. But, they insisted to have us come and celebrate with them. We hit the Ho-Den bar, on 12th ave. and 2nd street and found ourselves getting awfully drunk that night... I think your father and I ended up playing coin game where we shot yen into cut open bottles of sake. He ended drinking as much as I did, and he told me a bit about this responsible son of his, that had decent grades in school, decided that he wanted to become a martial arts fighter and went off to East City. Meanwhile, your mother had been with one of lady hunters, snickering in a corner about something that I didn't hear... Yes, aside from the scar across your face, you most certa-"
Pieter paused for a moment, a massive headache, it felt as if his head was being split open, shot into existence! Three powers, higher than his own, including that one rage-filled aura, flared into existence. He glared in the direction it came from, gloom and horror on his face. The mighty powers were over one of the great cities on the planet, past Ginger Town! It was chaotic- dangerous at that!
His mouth went agape, shivering slightly as he asked, "I'm... I'm sorry, but I must ask you two something. Have you any family or friends in the great capitol east of here...? I sense three great powers looming over it, as well as hundreds... No, thousands of strong forces coming from there and I'm fearful of that chaos happening there...!"

Toma laughed inwardly at the fact that Tao and Pieter seemed to know eachother. He found the idea funny, that this large, beautiful world also seemed to so very small at the same time. He didn’t bother much with what they were saying. He didn’t see a point in intervening in their conversation. After all, that was a private matter between the two of them.
Of course, Toma could feel the two powers in West City. He felt two other familiar powers, too. Ninjin and Daiki. Though, they seemed to have left the battle at West City. Their powers were stable and not fluctuating at all, and the fight seemed to have died down as the biggest of the two powers was suddenly wiped off the face of the map.
Should Toma have gone to help in West City? Perhaps. But it wasn’t his place. He knew of the Blue Banner Army and their goal, but it wasn’t his place to step in like a dictator and stop them from reforming their government. After all, what kind of person would that make him? This was a human war between two earth factions. He didn’t consider himself earthing-enough to get involved in those kind of political games.
Though, Toma’s interested was piqued once more when Pieter mentioned the fact that there were people in West City, and Toma spoke. “No. There’s nobody in West City besides, it seems what happened there has died down. We best focus on getting stronger if you want to go oppose that power.”

(Moving the thread along so it doesn't become lost.)
The powers suddenly shifted, the greatest of the three he could feel becoming lost... But as it happened, one of the three stronger powers rose beyond even that! The sensation was quaking Pieter's core... What had just occurred in the Western Capitol?!
"You are sure your friends are alright, Toma," Pieter asked, his body twitching a bit from fright... And excitement. His saiyan side was boiling in his blood, wanting to get at the beast that was at the Western Capitol. However, his human portion was playing more to reason in his body currently.
The hunter spoke, alerting, "I'm afraid that worrying about your own power is not something permitted anymore, Tom. Whatever that force is, it is massive and dangerous to not just this world, but I fear many others whether it is kind or not..."
He struggled to keep his power down and hidden from the eyes and spirit sense of possible hunters. Pieter looked to Tao Lung, telling him, "I'm afraid this meeting is being cut short, Tao Lung. However, I would love to meet with you and your parents later on, to catch up on things. Right now, I must take Toma here to the desert land of Fortune within the next few days, when the moon shines fully, so that I may teach him to control his power and use it to protect..."
Pieter looked to Toma, demanding, "Is that clear? We can not waver on our quest to get stronger. I am putting aside my vendettas against the demons of the tournament to watch over my home... No, our home. It is time you put your worries down. Consult with any friends you have around for future plans, then come meet me in Fortuneteller's Desert... I will be preparing for the harsh training in the next few days, and you will have my word that you will command the power to protect."
(I will be taking my leave now, to prepare the thread.)

OOC: Wow... Didn't realize it's been THIS long since I last replied. I'm really sorry guys. This semester started pretty heavy for me. I apologized for holding this thread and your personal plots back... Hopefully next time we get the chance to rp, I'll have already untied this knot on my schedule...
The blonde boy was struck with a bit of surprise when Pieter acknowledge Tao’s resemblance to his parents, that according to the native warrior, he had met about three years ago in the forest near his tribe. – “Yes, my parents are anthropologists! Small world, eh? I guess we never met personally, though” – Tao responded. The tribal went on to explain on more details how he met the scarred boy’s mother and father. They were carrying on researches on Pieter’s tribe when they were attacked by a tyrannosaurus and luckily for then, Pieter came to their rescue. They then ended up in a bar in Ginger Town, after being escorted there and got wasted. Tao recalled being told that story by his father, but he could never imagine meeting his parent’s hero by chance like this. Tao smiles timidly, scratching the back of his head in anxiety as he hears from Pieter how his father proudly talked about himself. Then, suddenly, Pieter seems to have a headache, cutting his sentence midway as his facial expression seem to contort in pain. – “Are you alright?” – Tao asks. Unlike his new acquaintances, the boy was unable to detect the powerful energies coming from the West Capitol. – “No… I don’t think I am familiar with anyone in West City… What’s going on” – Tao responds to Pieter’s questioning of their possible ties to people from the Capitol. Pieter provides some detail as noticing powerful energy signatures towards the city but Toma complements saying whatever happened, was already over. Tao was completely oblivious to what was happening. Specially considering Toma’s request to be killed in the spot for whatever reason if he couldn’t control his powersand his warning that things would get dangerous by night time. – “I’m not sure about what’s going on here” – Tao reveals confusion. Pieter then states he has to leave in order to prepare for a personal quest with Toma. He also reveals that he was also present in the tournament when all the madness with demons and giant apes started. That was indeed a subject Tao would like to talk about and would look forward to the “catching up” Pieter mentioned before taking his leave. – “I see… I’ll be looking forward for that. Nice to meet you, Pieter, Toma… I wish you guys success with all the power control thing. See you later!” –
