Oguma's Human Form
True Demon Form
History: Long ago there lived a warrior who lived on the land near present day Central City. He was a man with a name of little importance but was known for his violent ways. He killed people for pleasure and stuck them on pikes for fun on a daily basis just to show off his strength, and whenever anyone asked him to help with a bad situation he would make them pay an exorbitant fee to as his reward for defending them against other warriors. One day, he decided to go on a journey and headed west until he came upon a kingdom with great wealth and a big castle. He figured if he stayed in the area that he would be able to milk cash from the area just as he had in the past.
That though would not work for him, the people in the area were kind and gentle folk but they knew of this man if only by nickname as the "Dogma of Destruction". His strong belief in killing was not something they wanted to witness in their area so they asked their queen Mei to put a stop to him. So she did as her people asked and invited him to her castle.
Mei's Kingdom
While he was inside the castle she was polite to him and tried to convince him to change his ways. He called her words, "Simple prattle," in response to this and continued to act bad by eating an entire feast on her table by himself. Then he got up from her fine chairs and told her, "I shall give you one week to find a champion to defend yourself and your kingdom with. If you do not then I will kill you and place myself on your throne." Mei decided to agree to this promise and the mysterious, evil warrior left. Once he had she spent all her resources on finding a person who would stand up to this man. Unfortunately, no one would step forth.
Princess Mei's Human Form
Instead of standby and whimper for the lose of her castle and kingdom Mei trained herself to become stronger than ever before. Her retainers thought it crazy of her to face the warrior who had come to her castle yet she simply brushed them. "If no one is willing to step forward then I will have to kill him myself." And she was right to think this because the man did not sit around and wait for the day of the fight to come. He trained for the battle by attacking her citizens every day, three times times a day up until the day of the promised fight.
When he found Mei standing in front of her castle though carrying swords on her person he could only laugh and say, "Fate must really hate me if it sends a woman to fight me!" which Mei could only respond to by raising her power level far beyond her limit to activate her true power and training as a human being. No, she was not human anymore. She was a goddess of victory she told herself. It was after this that each of the warriors drew their weapons the fight began, a fight which raged three days until Mei finally found an opening and gutted him through the stomach with her katana. The warrior slumped forward and began to slowly die on the edge of her weapon.
While he did Mei bent over in one final act of kindness and asked, "Tell me warrior, why have you attacked so many people in your life time?"
The man responded, "It was to honor my name. I have hated my name Oguma. It is a name without meaning and people around me always used to make fun of it as a child."
"That's too bad," Mei answered with giggle as she pet his forehead. "Your soul can probably not be forgiven for hatred like that.
The man nodded, but as he faced death's door he grabbed a washikazi she was still holding in her hand and stabbed her with it in the heart. Mei thus fell on the same day as him seconds after he died and had dropped his tool of vengeance. The last thing Mei ever heard from his mouth was, "Nobody makes fun of my name."
After this both of them departed for the spiritual world and Mei's kingdom fell into ruin; never to be seen again. They made their way to the Check-In Station where King Yemma resided but when they got there both of them were immediately dropped into the Home of Infinite Losers. Oguma, for killing people on a daily basis, and Mei for making fun of a dying man's name even if the man was evil. They both lived together in Hell for five hundred years, mourning over their deaths and fighting each other on regular basis, until King Yemma could not stand watching them. He brought their souls up from the Home of Infinite Losers, morphed them from their original forms into demons, and then dropped them back into Hell so that they would be forced to live their new lives as demonic siblings without so many memories of their prior past.
Princess Mei/Mei Inugami/Marama
This helped keep things quiet in the Home of Infinite Loser for a long while and he gave them parents to keep them under control. These two parents were Akatsuki Inugami and Yuna Inugami and together they helped raise the new Oguma Inugami and Mei Inugami into terrible beings of destruction. Yet, with all good things these times ended, Oguma grew curious about what lay outside of Other World in the Living World. So he asked his parents if he could go out there they refused to let him go anywhere near that place fearing he might remember what he did in the past, not that it mattered now really, but they figured he would not understand. So they decided to wait and when he grew old enough in demon years, and was seen as a fine young adult one thousand nine hundred years later they let him leave.
Akatsuki Inugami
As a parting gift though, they asked that he wear something nice and take a human form. So he turned himself back into his original shape and departed for the living world. Mei, of course, watched him go and said her good byes but she felt in her heart that letting him go again to the human world would only bring about bad times again for the living as well as his mother. This time though, unlike in her past, Mei felt a great sense of pride well up inside of her for her brother. Both the old Oguma and Mei were lost to the throes of time and along with them the world had greatly changed but now that Oguma was ready to step out into the living world again things were about to change starting with his participation in a world event called a "tournament".
Yuna Inugami/Yabun
This was a tournament that would likely help decide the fate of Earth. Oguma was an invader and he was going to make his name known to the world. Even though he had already done so in the past without knowing it. What he had yet to learn was that Mei had followed him to the world of the living to keep him in line. Not for mother or father, but for herself. She did not want him killing people left and right so she has now taken on the form of a strong martial artist in order to challenge maybe just for this tournament, but possibly or all right over the Living and Other World. It goes without saying that Oguma's family's demon blood attracts quite the attention, even in their human forms.
Will he be able to stand up to his big sister? Or will he get a nose bleed when she attempts to crush his soul with her fiery and passionate female spirit. Only a proper confrontation will tell. For now, he lives in the house of a fellow demoness who intends to train him for his upcoming goal of conquering the world. Her name is Pei Pan, the "Howling Queen", a demoness who wished to conquer the world with an army of minions but whose goal fell short when she could not open the Demon's Gate. Legend says she cursed her own inabilities as a demon and set off to kill millions of insignificant humans over a thousand five hundred years ago, but failed miserably. Anyway the skill she wished to use was a basic necessity for demonic conquerors for if one can open said gate it is very possible to bring forth hordes of demons and other disasters. Without the gate demons who belong in Oguma's group cannot return to Other World if they cannot open it, even if they are able to summon it.
Mei, like her brother though, since she followed him is now trapped in the human world. Both she, and more importantly, her brother have yet to master the skill and the only one with the gate key is Izumi herself. Unfortunately, Izumi is unwilling to part with it even though she cannot use it. It is really on her suggestion he go to the hosted fighting tournament because without doing so she knows Oguma will not get stronger, something he needs to do in order to come and go from the Earth as he pleases. In the years since she has known humans she has come to realize that she is quite weak against them, equaling only to a mid level demon of one thousand points in power. Clearly stronger than most basic humans, however, not a true threat.
She feels Oguma, Mei, and other demons they associate with may be weak demons like herself as well since she has never seen nor heard of many in the last hundred years who have done great things. As a demoness who has lived for twenty thousand years, she finds though her younger kin are far too eager to make their moves on Planet Earth when she knows that they and she will live for hundreds of thousands of years if left undisturbed. The thing is she can sense their desire for glory and definitely finds this to be true in the hearts of Oguma and Mei. In fact, she has come to believe the only one who stands a chance of living on Earth and taking over it is the "Ice Queen", a demoness who came after her as a possible ruler of the demon world, but is someone Pei Pan knows little about.
Oguma, as her pupil is hard wrought by these stories. And Mei, who sneaks in on this conversation is in disbelief. Yet both do not intend to lose to such a person if they ever show up. The world is filled with darkness but their can only be one Demon Ruler.
That said, the Inugami are not weak. Their true power lies in their ability to harness the flames of the sun itself, to break apart the earth, and create lava in their wake. All who stand before the Inugami tend to get incinerated but the only people among the Inugami clan who hold this power are Akatsuki and Yuna. Oguma though and Mei have yet to master this. Yet their older brother Dai Inugami is someone who knows the basics of the Inugami fire techniques. He hides though in a human form is unwilling to help train his younger siblings in combat.
With him though he carries the family sword Asharen, a family sword made from volcanic material that Oguma would like to possess after he proves himself in the Living World. He vies with his brother for the throne, but as it stands all three demons are in a truce until they can find out who among the is strong enough to stand above all humans. These fights have been breaking out between the two brothers and the first of these most recent fights occurred twelve months before the announced intergalactic arena battle. Both brothers had to be put down by Pei Pan and their sister Mei and since then Pei Pan has wrangled all three siblings into training for the big fights at the tournament where she is sure they will fight strong opponents. In order to keep them under control she has used her shrill, nails-on-a-chalkboard voice and her true demonic voice to irritate them to the nth degree. Her tests and quizzes have been vicious and as a result being blasted by a breath of flames from her quick tongued mouth has not been uncommon in their sessions.
Dai Inugami/De-Mon
In between training sessions, to also keep them under control, Pei Pan has led them into small, yet easy battles in order to retain their demon psyche psyche and get them their fill of living souls. Fortunately for her, Pei Pan has calculated it down to a small bit of science and found that every one of the Inugami children involved in her training eat about fifty souls per every two months they stay in the living world. Thankfully, a well run small village has enough people to go around so she sends them out at random to wipe out a few people in a couple random villages if their hunger gets to be too much. That way humans, if they do get wise, cannot catch them which for them has been a good prospect since they have not caught on just yet. This too may only be a matter of time.
If one were to think of Oguma and his family in the living world they would equate to the chicks in a bird's nest and have been loyal thus far to their master. The woman is a good demoness, but Oguma ponders at times if this will change if he and his siblings get stronger. Oguma, Mei, and Dai are all on equal level, but there sure are to be changes in their young futures.
Pei Pan/"The Howling Queen"
It goes without saying though that with each change in Oguma and his siblings' power over this twelve time that someone is bound to notice and demand they be kept under more control. And who better to notice than Pei Pan's husband Choi Pan. He is a demon known for his skill with his claws and has come and gone from Pei Pan's house for years letting her train demons and do as she pleases for the most part unless something interests him. And that interest lies in Oguma's massive eating habits, despite his human form. The reason being that Oguma never feels full after Pei Pan and his siblings hunt and thus sneaks out for more souls and food to consume.
Choi Pan
For the most part, he leaves Pei Pan, Oguma, and his siblings alone but when he hears of Oguma's insatiable appetite he cannot turn away from him. He knows the Inugami demon clan well and the basic desire for them to consume evil souls or use them at a massive rate for their ki is something that lures him to the young man. He personally begins to kill off villages in secret for him every once and while and collects him souls since he knows by having the young man eat more he will only get stronger. He advises Oguma to hide his power though and for the time being everyone believes the three siblings are on the same basic level of power. This is all for his potential future and the preparation for the coming tournament.
