Jingle Village (Six Days until the 9th Centennial Conference)
It was on the day after his night of sleep that the demon Oguma awakened refreshed yet not hungry. He looked around and when he sat up watched a pouch filled with Zeni drop off his chest. He caught it in one hand and noticed Mei resting at the foot of his bed as he rolled out of bed in his underwear an grabbed a black shirt and pants and then slid them on. After doing this he would slide his demon armor on, for the safety of others, and walk out of the shack they had place him in with his spear.
"Damn, that hurt," he muttered as he found himself remembering his fight with Akio the other day. Outside he watched as Choi and Dai swung at each other with their claws, Choi with his red hair flowing behind him and Dai, in a childish form with short black hair flowing down his face, both were putting out tremendous energy and Oguma yawned. He could see Pei Pan nearby on a stone porch in a rocking chair watching from a distance as she curled her black locks in her fingers. She looked sleepy and he could tell because her eyes were half shut and her bra was spilling out of her white shirt even though it looked like she had taken the time to put on clothes properly since she also had on nice thick, tan pants. It was a shoddy job.
The whole family seemed focused on getting stronger or sleeping and although Oguma wanted to as well he knew they could not simply through physical training. They needed human devices so that they could essentially "cheat" and get ripped muscles and power that way. Thus ensuring better chances for himself and the rest of his gaggle of a family to succeed in their two goals, one, conquering the Earth, and two, opening the gate (which Oguma could summon but not open) so that they could go home and tell the rest of their clan and other demons of their exploits. The tournament would be a perfect place to do this at or even start this conquest, but as it stood they would need money to get there probably and it was still a few days before that big day.
In order to relieve his stress Oguma took to walking through the snow over to an old stump and placed some logs on them. He then picked up an axe and hefted it over his head to split them all up. When he was done an hour later he called out to his family of demons, "I'll be leaving, I'm heading into the center part of town to sell wood. We need to start our conquest with money not power."
If there was one thing his fight with Akio had taught him it was that tactics always won and money was one form of tactics they needed now since most of the family were block heads. They waved him off and he tied up the logs with some string. Then he went into Jingle Village and sold the logs. He was fortunate enough to hear that the people there did not fear them nor think them strange, although, they still did not know what happened to a small family on the outskirts of town. They seemed to have disappeared like they had never existed, but what none of them knew was that Oguma's family had eaten them. He did not stay long to listen to rumors though and simply walked back home with a bit more money in his pocket.
