It had been about a week since Tomare "moved in" with Toma. Or rather, forced herself in. By now, Toma knew the instincts of a Saiyan were to fight and he'd also fought Zucceta. He was suddenly very happy that Tomare had decided to stay with him, rather than go out wreaking havoc and causing destruction. He was thankful for that. Perhaps she wasn't too bad after all. She was strong, attractive, and kind in her own way. Toma was growing a bit fond of her, even if he didn't want to admit it.
But today was shopping day. The arrival of Tomare had shortened Toma's food supply much quicker than he'd expected, but he shouldn't be surprised. As it turns out, Tomare could eat as much as he could! He suspected that that was a Saiyan trait. Normally he'd go out and kill his own food, typically large fish or wildlife, but even he had to go get things he couldn't find out in the wild. Things like salt and condiments and other things. Despite Toma's Saiyan heritage, he was actually quite the cook.
Toma descended down into West City. He thought back to when he'd first arrived on Earth. The first other Saiyan he'd met was Athren, a grumpy man living with a woman named Kaiyo. He chuckled at the thought of how he was now in a similar situation to Kaiyo, only reversed. He looked up, scanning the skies for Tomare. He had asked her to come with him, so he could show her a bit more of the planet.
