An amazing day. The sun shining, birds chirping and the sound of neighing horse in the distance, within the forest. It was something you truly could never really put a price on, regardless of how much you owned in monetary value. And that was something that the young, redheaded Mohawk Konatsian thought of, as he awaken from his rest. The young man sitting up from his bed and raising his right hand, wrist against his eye as he rub the crust from his tear ducts. That was something weird, whenever he slept and awoke, he'd need to clear of the stuff.
His pale skin differing from the inner caramel of the tree he live in. His crimson hawk going over his eyes and spiking down his neck into a wolf's tail and draping over his shoulder. The navy blue snakes that line his eyebrow area lining down his cheeks. Emerald eyes looking about as his eyes narrowed from the sleeping close they had been in times before. His wrist was returned down, his feet apart and his knees pointing in the opposite directions, hands joined together as they intertwine and the male averted gaze into the other reaches of his home.
A table in the center of his tree house, shelves above his bed and the pots lining the sides of his home filling a small square of the home. A spiraling red line on his ceiling. The yellow drapes of his window blowing with a slight ease in the wind. Something truly nice and gave off a serene feeling in the earth. His bed itself being one with his home, as the shreds were blue and white, pillow a comfy and marshmallowy white as well. The bed frame itself being thick, wood devised and created by the Konatsian boy.
The feeling of being in a warm home something nice. Something he couldn't pass up, regardless of anything else, at truth. Nothing short of a peaceful feel. He could hear the sounds of his fellow forest dwellers outside, playing with one another and having one with the other. The sounds o the adult population shouting to the child and adolescent portions of the forest. He had known the sound, when he lived among the Saiyajin elsewhere in the world. That someone, some people could care for something that was not of their own. Something he could pass onto people of his own.
He gaze out at the outside world, seeing many of his friends and guardians speaking aloud, telling tales of olde and even having some fun with the young ones of the village. The Konatsian male rising off of his bed and stretching his arms out. A exasperated yawn and groan following as he trudge towards his clothing. His "Primitive" Saiyan cloth hanging from a branch and his sword, piccolo and scarf beside it on separate hangers. His pale hand grabbing the clothing and draping it over his body, covering a portion of his chest and boxers. Sword strapped onto his back, scarf wrapped around his neck and over his mouth with his piccolo tucked into his sheath.
“....?”
The Konat rubbed his eyes once more, his wrist against eye and lowered once more. His left hand raised to the draping cover that led to the outside world before him, tossing it aside so that he may pass through and view what at led to before him. The world being much too bright and casting a white glint in his eyes before he could truly get used to having it. However, once it all dispelled, he could view the beauty before him, for what it truly was. His raised hand brought up to his eyes to act as shade before slowly brought to his exposed pectorals.
The world was something far from ugly. The sprites and fairies dancing about in the air, without care or worry. Elves, Dwarves, Zoanthrope playing about with the same ideals. The elderly, sitting atop their balcony and sharing the idea of nostalgia together. Some reminiscing of when they were young and when they had their loved ones beside them.
This apparent, as the nicest of the elder, sat by himself. His oak cane in hand as he hunch forward and frown with the utmost care at the citizen below. His ears pointed, yes, but drooping somewhat. His grayed hair draping down his back and shoulders, the wrinkle of his forehead visible. The crows feet and aging something that told of his old age. His face stern and ultimately scary, but all knew that he care for the forest in which all his young'uns reside and live with. The elderly man's attire quite elegant, his crimson red tunic lined in gold, his shoulder pads outright and pointed, even his cane was something to behold, as it was oak and the orb atop of it glow with a luminous green light. And he sat alone, poor guy.
The people below him differing. As children, all similar had appeared different. One young man named "Omido", had bluish skin. His head somewhat square and his ears round, with the tips point up. His hair blonde, sun yellow and spiked in few directions forward, as he bore a hat that cover most of the back. His entire frame round, as he was a chunky fellow. His tunic green, purple lining his and even his shield, made of wood bore the same red spiral Nami Toh had in his house. It was something of an emblem to his village. A crest of honor.
Beside him another two children. Liku and Rekkoha. Liku being lean and more athletically built, as he bore some muscle and the like. His skin pinkish while having a hint of beige, his hair the color of purple and violet together. His tunic of blue and orange lining. The girl beside him differing greatly. As her skin was much more yellowish, hair sporting the color of emerald and her tunic being green as well having the lining of brown. Her ears thin and long, pointed backward as opposed to the outright that Liku and Omido. Her cheeks having a bit of a blush on them.
“Hey!! Nam'!”
Rekkoha grinned, scampering up toward the teenager's treehome. Stopping before the ladder and waving her right hand, the left behind her back. Where she went to greet the coming Nami, Omido and Liku stood beside one another, conversing over who and how they could both become the heroes of the forest, through defense or becoming some kind of important patriotic landmark. Obviously they were simply babbling, as they knew not of what they even spoke of or how they would possibly achieve the set out goals they did for themselves. Alas, it was best to allow them imagination.
“Hiya!! Hurry up, Omi and Li are waiting on you!” Rekkoha shouted, giggling as she did and put her right hand behind her back, joining it with her right. She was nice person, truly. Differing from the harsh and overachieving ways that Omido and Liku had. It was something that really made her shine as a person. Something, Nami Toh really liked about her. She began swaying from right to left, her smile holding up and emerald eyes gandering upon the pale Konatsian boy who emerge from his home. Omido having his arms crossed, his tubby body held forward and his chin up to seem tough. Like having leaned back and hands by his side.
Nami blinked some, walking two steps forward before jumping down onto the ground before his ladder. At the same time, before Rekkoha. The young girl blinking as her friend hop from his keep. His Saiyan rags being lifted from the sudden air and lowing back down to over his knees. His blade and woodwind instrument rattling as they rustle together. All the while, after he recover from the drop, Nami smiling at his friend. Doing as she did a minute before and waving his hand.
“...!”
“Oh? Really! That's nice of you, to ask. I'm okay, well Omido has been really gorging himself and Liku hopping from stone to stone by the shop over there. I tell ya, Nam', those two are a handful. Always bickering on who is the most tough and how they could make the outside world become more knowing of us. Between you and me, I like it that our village is quiet.”
“...! ..? ...”
“Well, that's the thing Nami. Those two just wont stop talking about it. It's like, if one of them doesn't do it, the other wont him live it down!”
”.... ....... ... ... ... ... ... .... .. .......?”
Nami put a hand to his waist, his other waving about. He figured, that he could be the one would resolve that little argument through venturing out into the world and finding a way to get the village name out and at least attracting one or two outsiders. He'd be damned if he allowed a bunch of disgusting, dirty mongrel into his village. As he speak to Rekkoha, he had to look over to Omido and Liku. The two boys seeming to speak about their plans.
“Pal, I'm telling you. We go out, do that commercial stuff and bam, we have the village out. Benefits and all, man!”
“No! That's an awful way; I suggest I go out, enter a eating contest and boom, we're out there. Huh? Hows that?”
“.... ..... ... ... ...... ..... .. .. ...?”
“Yeah, they are. Hahaha!” Rekkoha laughed a little bit as Nami spoke of how they both seemed to go at it without end. It was true, as Liku and the gluttonous Omido argued on how they could spread word of their village. Oh well, it seemed it was on him to truly spread word over how the world could be knowing of their town.
He didn't think of how, he'd do it though. The male swallowed as Rekkoha grab his shoulders. She seemed to think it was a good idea..and if she thought it was a fine thing, he did too. She had this kind of effect on him like that. Nami Toh felt his cheeks flush a slight crimson as the emerald green girl placed a gentle kiss along his cheeks, her pulling back and issuing a adorable giggle. Rekkoha turning away and scampering back to the two males across the lands. Omido and Liku returning to Omido's own hut across way.
That left him to, well, him. He crossed his arms, thinking of what he was to do. The Mohawk Konatsian nodding his head, the first spike of his do bobbing some before his eyes and his gaze put to the ground below. Maybe..maybe he could saddle up on one of the neighboring horse that live near the settlement. Yeah, that one definitely a option. The redheaded male lowering his arms to his sides and his gaze returned back forward, a smile replacing his one confused mug. Time to follow through. Nami ran forward, his arms swinging from front to back as he rush toward the crossing between his tree house and the path to the shops.
He thought to himself, considering which way would be a smarter way to go. Scrunching up his nose, he figured that if he went right, he could get himself a shield of some kind. If he went left, he'd end up outside the village way and instead by the planes of the Western Frontier. He nodded to himself again, going left and actually leaving the forest. Through the huge tunnel made of a tree trunk and crossing the wood bridge that connect them.
He looked around, his eyes searching for a good steed. Narrowed in the search, it took a few moments before he could finally see his horse: Marryl. The Konat retrieved his piccolo from his sheath, putting his lips around the reed and placing his fingertips atop the note holes. His cheeks inflating and slowly ceasing as he begin playing a series of notes. Each finger lifted and another put atop a different note place. His eyes closed to truly feel the rhythmic pattern. Before long, Marryl picked up her head, looking to Nami. The beautiful chestnut Mare galloping to his side and whinnying. Alerting the male to her presence and allowing to put the instrument away.
“!”
And there she was. The Konatsian opened his eyes as he tuck his piccolo back into his scabbard, then patting the mare's powerful neck with his palm. A smile across his face as furrow his eyebrows before kissing her neck ever do gently. He and Marryl had been the greatest of friends since his days among the Saiyajin tribe. Capturing and nurturing her since days of being a calf. Their bond being cultivated through years of spending time together, Marryl whinnying and neighing to the rhythm of his piccolo and in return, allowing him travel upon her back. Bond strengthened through the years.
“..! ..?”
Nami smiled, patting her back gently to ask her if he was allowed to mount and straddle her. The mare lowering herself enough for the teenage Konatsian to climb aboard her broad, chestnut brown back. His grunts and sounds asking of her well being and greeting her. The beautiful animal giving a powerful neigh in response to tell of her being. Somehow, he knew she was telling him of her life since she had last dropped him off by the forest of Fukurou. She whinnied again, foretelling of her own little calves and her own herd of kin.
“...! ..? ...! ... .... .. ..........! .. ..... ... ..!”
Nami Toh's smile remained. His sounds indicating that of along the lines of, “Ohh! Really? Wow that is incredible! I'm happy for ya'!” The Konat leaned forward and nuzzled the creature gently. Sitting back up to look around. Twisting his head from side to side to gain an idea of where exactly he was. From his perspective, he could see what was important- The Desert, West City and a small town over the horizon, across the waters. Through Marryl, he doubted it would be a ling trek toward the town and then for the Desert. The boy figuring,
“If I go to town, I can find something about the desert and then find something cool. Find something cool, and I'll be able to call it a Koseijin treasure. Treasure means recognition, recognition means addenda to our town. And only those of peaceful nature will come..erm..okay. Hehe..”
“...!!!” Was what came out of his mouth as a whole.
The Konatsian nodded to his steed, grabbing onto her mane gently. He hated doing it, but she was the speediest of the equine; He kicked her ribs as gently as he could, the mighty mare kicking onto her back legs and flailing her front in a iconic style. Her powerful legs moving in conjunction to burst off out of the Fukurou district and into the main plains of the Western Frontiers. The Konatsian sitting upon her back leaning forward like a jockey whom sat upon a racing equine for the spoils of Zeni and the such. Only, he was riding the mighty creature for the sake of treasure and spreading word of his peaceful village of Elves, Dwarves and the like.
He couldn't help but smile, though. Feeling some kind of way over the feeling of the wind whipping against his cheeks!
After kicking the beautiful beasts ribs and her iconic pose, she had bursted off. Galopping along the plains of the earth and crossing over the grasslands quickly. A smile along the Konat, growing larger and larger! He could..feel, the beast he rode upon and her energy. A positive force behind her as he add his weight forward. The equestrian creature was trained by him to give her best, one hundred percent. It was simply something he felt that could help her once they had parted last time. From the corners of his eyes, he could view the world.
The sights of other animals and even few people whom had ventured out of the neighboring districts. Nami saw faces of elderly and children, bonding with one another. Some kids messing with the wildlife and the older men and women sitting along the streams of rivers to relax their stressed bones and limbs. The toll of aging being quite visible, in some ways the like of the elderly in Fukurou Forest. Aside from the humans, the wildlife was just as apparent. The squirrels sitting inside of the thick patches of grass and the other equine animals nibbling along field grass. Zebronkey, Man-eater Crabs, the works.
As he gain way through the plains of Earth, he leaned forward and urged Marryl to zoom toward Ginger Town. Ger speed something fierce, as she took his hint and galloped forward without hesitation, hopping over several fences and walls that would normally obstruct his path. His mare avoiding each and every turn that could gave stopped her, the male riding upon her back fisting the heavens above with all his might the excitement of riding the trusty steed getting to him!
He couldn't make any mistakes, though. As Marryl entered Ginger Town, she slowed and trotted through the streets. The Konatsian listening for any hints to further his quest. Little to nothing had been derived, though- As he had gone through every street without stop. His pointed ears picking up most sound through every turn. Even Marryl, with all the attention she attracted had allowed him to gain answers. An hour of listening had passed, though: Nami Toh learning that deep, deep within Fortunetellers' Desert, there reside a dark temple with a mystic treasure.
“...!! ..?! ..!!!”
Marryl allowed several children to pet and touch her, though once Nami kicked her ribs once she knew what time it had been and what to do. She neighed powerfully, bursting out of the town through the west exit and galloped across each and every acre of land. As the two cross several strips of land, the Konat noted how the world changed. The once green grass gad become increasingly yellowish and grainy rather than luscious and full of healthy greenish color. The once clear air had been replaced by small drafts of sand. He was nearing, practically inside of the Desert.
“..! ...”
Nami grunted, Marryl taking him deeper into the depths of the desert. What felt like minutes became hours as he wander into the maze of what the land was. The time that had passed had changed into..aha! The temple! A pyramid, the opening a large, rectangular door.
