"Hmm.. This is my last day in this place. I'm gonna miss it, but my goal is important." Eliott said, looking in the mirror of his bathroom. He is in the apartment his parents used to own, which he pays for by taking on different cases such as murder. " I'm gonna meet the rest of the children, then depart. I kinda feel bad, but I have to go. They will understand." Then he left to go meet the children.
On his way to the meet up, he glanced felt, and saw a lady and a man struggling over something. Eliott approached, then realized what was going on. The lady was trying to murder this man, swinging around a large knife. Eliott rushed over there, set up his barrier around the man, then kick the knife out of the ladies hand. "What the hell are you trying to do lady?" Eliott yelled at her as he dove to recover the knife.
"This bastard! He kidnapped my baby! I want my baby back!" She was on her knees crying. Eliott walked over to the lady, and tried to comfort her. She took this opportunity to try and snatch the knife, which she didn't succeed in doing.
"You're way to slow for that. I'm gonna say he was probably your boyfriend, but broke up with you a few days ago. You asked him to meet you here, then attacked him. He broke up with you because you are controlling, and would occasionally steal his money for parties. Am I correct?" Eliott was an amazing detective. He looked at her and determined all of this.
"How the hell did you figure that?" the man in the barrier said to Eliott, confirming his deduction. Eliott walked over to him, removed the barrier, then walked back to the lady and tied her hands up with a spare rope he had on his belt.
"I've seen this lady before around town. There isn't a time that she isn't wearing make-up, unless she was going to be locked up in her room all day, say, after being broken up with. She also has a wallet in her pocket, which looks like it was just shoved in there, meaning she did it during the struggle. This shows she was also after your money, which isn't usual for someone who is after revenge for being broken up with. I had to guess a little on the last part, but it appears to be correct." Eliott then told the man to stay safe, then walked the lady to the police office. " Hey guys, I caught another one. This one was attempting to murder her ex-boyfriend, because he broke up with her." Eliott was caught many thugs, thieves, and even murderers for the local police, so they are acquainted.
"Good job kid! I heard you were leaving town? I wish you the best of luck little man!" The lead officer said to Eliott, who waved, said goodbye, then left.
Eliott started walking again, hoping no more crime would happen. Much to his delight, he arrived to the meeting spot with no more distractions. All 26 kids, ages 6-14 came to see Eliott off. He was very famous in this place, Silver town, population 2,734, 400 square miles of mostly living and business areas. It's pretty small on the map, so not many people but the relative area around it have heard of it.
"Hey, am I late?" Eliott walked into the place they are meeting, a park bench. Eliott loves the place, because his parents used to take him here all the time. It's also where Eliott caught his first criminal, a 7, now 9, year old kid who would steal milk and take it to the kittens in this park. Eliott is now good friends with this kid, Kyle.
" Hey Eli, you are in fact very late! What were you doing?" Kyle scolded him.
"Sorry man. This women was trying to stab her ex, so I had to deal with it. Wouldn't want someone dying, would we?" Eliott sat down in the spot that he always sat in, in the corner. All of the kids walked up to him, and did what they usually do, ask about the case. " Oh, this one isn't as exciting as my usual case. Her boyfriend broke up with her, and as revenge she was gonna steal his money and kill him. I caught her before she caused any harm though." And as he finished, the kids sitting in awe over Eliott's story, a man walked up to the bench.
"So it was the famous Eli that saved my life. Pshh, If that's the case, I wish she would have just stabbed me. Saved by a spoiled 8 year old with some talent? You're just a big headed kid, who his parents abandon." The man from earlier walked up and got in Eliott's face.
All of the kids tried to form a wall, but he just pushed past them, but they just kept pulling telling him to mind his own business. "I knew I recognized you. 3 months, 2 days, and 1 hour ago, I caught you for breaking and entering. You changed your hair, so I didn't recognize you at first. Why don't you just leave? I mean, why should you soil your perfect image with such spoiled child?" And with that, the man turned and left.
"Why do you let people push you around like that Eli? You could have taken him no problem!" Kyle was born on the streets, so his life usually involved push or get pushed.
"He isn't worth wasting my time. Such criminals don't deserve my time. Anyways, I heard we had ice cream cake? I love ice cream cake!" And with that, the goodbye party continued for another hour. They had fun, ate cake, then the time came for Eliott to leave.
"Remember, I will always be your friend, even when I'm not here. I'm counting on all of you to become great people! See'ya!" Eliott turned and ran. He looked back, and everyone yelled good byes and wishes of safe travel, and he waved. He was finally on his way to finding his parents who disappeared around a year ago.
Eliott had only a few clues to go on. The man said one sentence and his parents looked scared, so it was obviously important, they even left their only child alone to go with him, the man was wearing a white suit, with a logo on the front, but he couldn't see the logo. The man was about 180 cm tall, face was covered, and he slouched very slightly. He had muscles, meaning he had done work involving strength, such as martial arts, which his walk suggested. When Eliott asked around about it, no one knew anything. He had a lead once, but it turned out the person they thought he was talking about was a milk man. No matter how many times Eli thought about, he couldn't even think of one possibility that was probable. Another thing, is that they went out the east gate, meaning they might be going to somewhere like Satan city. Eli figured he would ask around, with such a big place, he figured he would be able to find some clue. Eli wasn't sure how long it was gonna take to get there, but he guessed around 5-7 days by walking, 1-2 days if he ran the entire way, but he decided to take in the scenery.
Eli realized just how little there was to do during travel, so he decided to make it into a training session, so he put a huge boulder on his back, then walked on his hands, which he did for a couple hours until he got hungry. All he brought to eat was rice, and tons of it. He lit a fire, and made a bed out of leaves and straw he found laying around. It was about 9 pm, so he was tired, considering he only slept 2 hours, because he was too excited about his new adventure. He ate his rice and then went to sleep.
