A month had passed since the birth and the tragedy. Immediately after the funeral of King Shark, the war had become a full on world war across Tayona. Today, however, was a sad, yet momentous day for Tayona, or specifically, Pashifikku. Today, Tourit, Tenshi, and Saba would be crowned the new royal family of this kingdom. Not only that, but they will be living in Pashifikku until further notice. Tenshi stood in front of the mirror, wearing a beautiful spring green dress with a white gold belt around her waist. Her hair was braided, making it all the more elegant. She had gained her original figure back, but one thing changed about her... her demeanor. Since she watched her father-in-law die saving her child, there had not been a single hint of happiness on her face. The smile became a stranger to her. Even when her child smiled for the first time, she couldn't smile back at him. Tabby tried making her smile, her parents tried, and Tourit tried... nothing. It was terrifying to say the least. It was as if... it died that day, and she became almost cold to the world, barely even speaking and spending most of her time alone or taking care of her baby. She stayed there, staring in the mirror, tears starting to form in her eyes until the door was knocked. One of the servants knocked on the door, making Tenshi quickly wipe her eyes dry, putting on the straight face she had displayed for this entire month. "You're highness, Prince Saba is all dressed, and King Tourit is about ready for the ceremony." They said through the door, being answered with only... "Thank you" before she opened the door, taking her child from the servant. She looked down at her little Saba, remembering the happiness she felt the moment he was born... Why couldn't she feel that now? Why did she only feel pain looking at his little dusty blue eyes... Why... Tenshi took a deep breath, composed herself, and headed out with Saba to meet with her husband.

"My love...Please smile for this. I haven't seen your smile for so long and I can't stand it." Tourit pleaded. He had been trying to make his wife smile for what felt like the longest month in history to no avail. "In any case...Are you ready?" He asked, extending his arm.

Tenshi only stared at the ground, listening to her husband... It broke her heart even more, but her body wouldn't allow her to smile, it almost being painful to put a smile on her face. Her attention was brought to her son for a second, him squirming in her arms, and grasping onto her finger. This should make anyone smile from the infant's adorable tiny smile, but his own mother just stared at the child, as if she never saw him before. She grasped her husband's hand, it almost being a formality. A servant opened the curtains for them, the two of them stepping out to a huge crowd of people from both Pashifikku and Atorantikku, witnessing their Prince and Princess officially become King and Queen. Also, many people loved seeing Saba, him being the first infant royal in decades, ever since Tourit was born 20 years ago. Tenshi saw Tunla, Tourit's mother, waiting for them... and she had to fight tears again... her husband was taken from her that day... and the idea it was her fault returned... why... why... She was ready to snap, but had to keep her composure, it being almost agonizing to keep a straight face.

It was odd having a coronation so soon after the king’s death. But in these times of war, the people needed a ruler. Such a hasty crowning would not happen otherwise. Stepping out onto the small deck, letting go of his wife’s hand, Tourit kneeled down. The priest, carrying a small pillow with a decadent yet small crown, which Tourit recognized as his father’s. The holy man walked slowly towards the new king, followed closely by two young children, who spread black rose petals as they went. Their march was accompanied by a choir’s chant. All momentum stopped as soon as the trio reached the young king. “On this day, a new ruler of Pashifikku will be crowned. With him, a new era of prosperity and good will reign.” Tourit had a suspicion that this was the same speech that must have been used for every ruler before him, due to the current wartime circumstances. It made the coronation feel a little less special in his eyes. Still, he stuck to his role. “Tourit Sanichi, are you prepared for the role you were destined for?” Now it was obvious that this was a recycled speech, as his older brother Haddock was next in line before his passing. “I am prepared, father.” The crown placed on his head felt heavy. It felt horribly heavy, almost as if the weight would kill him. He was incredibly tempted to thrust it off his head, due to the shock of its mass. He was certain that the circlet wasn’t nearly this heavy whenever he saw it! Then, it hit him. It wasn’t the physical weight; but the mental. Now he knew. Now he knew what his father had to wear every day. He knew the weight. “Tourit Sanichi, son of Shark Sanichi, rise.” Tourit rose to his feet. “My people, behold your new king.” There was much cheering in the audience, but the new king couldn’t tell if it was authentic. It could very well be the people simply trying to distract themselves from the conflict going on around them. Regardless, it made him feel at ease, if just a little.

Tenshi stood at her husband's side, each step down that aisle made her feel closer to collapsing. Her ears rang, her staring at the ground the entire time, slightly shaking as she used everything to fight the tears. Some people in the crowd clearly saw the princess's changes since the death, and there was talking going around about her, some saying she was losing it. But... was it true? Tenshi cradled her squirming baby, him giggling as he grasped his tiny fingers on her royal jewels around her neck. She jumped when the cheering happened for Tourit. It was her time. "Now, with the crowning of the new king, his wife, Princess Tenshira Sanichi shall be crowned the new queen, the power being passed down from Queen Tunla Sanichi." Tenshi handed Saba to her husband, and slowly stepped forward. The crown noticed how it looked like she was in agony with each step, the talking becoming more widespread through the people. Tenshi kneeled, her face filled with nothing but sadness. She looked up when Tunla touched her shoulder. "Princess Tenshira, today, I am passing the power I have held in this kingdom to you. As of this moment, you shall become the new Queen of this kingdom. You shall stand by your husband's side, and your own child shall be raised to become the king of this kingdom, one day. Let you rule along side the King, being a beloved part of this kingdom, known for many generations to come!" With that, Tunla removed her crown, and placed it on Tenshi's head... and tears began falling from the new Queen's eyes. She stood, the tears running down her face as the crowd tried to clap. It was more quiet than Tourit's, but she didn't care... she wanted to throw the crown away immediately, but had to be strong. "And, last but not least, with his parents now being the rulers of our beloved kingdom, the newest member of the royal family, Prince Saba Sanichi shall officially be crowned prince of both Pashifikku and Atorantikku, ruling both kingdoms. Let his rule be fair and just for both kingdoms!" The priest placed a small crown on the baby's head, taking him from Tourit and presenting the baby to the crowd, another round of cheering being let out. The priest tried to hand him to Tenshi... but she didn't move to take her son... She was frozen... The priest gave up, handing him to Tourit. "Now, my dear people, behold the new royal family of Pashifikku!" The cheering was louder than the others now, making it official to all kingdoms... and Tenshi hated it... so much... each clap was deafening to her, but she stood strong, though the tears still rolled down her face.

Shortly after the ceremony ended, the newly crowned royals retired to their rooms. Normally a banquet would be held, but in these circumstances, many would find a grandiose feast a bit out of taste. "My love...Are you alright? I know that this weight is a lot to bear, I feel it too, but please...You haven't even held Saba since we left." Tourit pointed out as he held their son.

Tenshi just stared out the window, not looking at her husband. The crown on her head felt like it was made of needles, stabbing her and making her feel like she was in agony. "No... I'm not alright... I haven't been alright... And... I don't think I'll never be alright ever again!" The pain and anger kept building up... and it finally was coming out. "It's MY FAULT! I have these powers that could've stopped that blade! No one would've died!!! NO ONE! IT'S MY FAULT!" Objects began floating around the room from her pain and fury, before Tenshi sent a fist into the stone walls of the castle, going to her knees, her hand bleeding. Saba began crying from her yelling. "...Why couldn't they just have killed me... Your father would be alive and ruling along with your mother... you would have an heir... no one in our kingdom would miss me..." She just stayed there, holding her bleeding hand, crying. She used her powers, taking the crown off of her head, and putting it back on the ground. "This kingdom doesn't deserve someone like me as their queen... they deserve someone stronger..." The baby kept crying, but Tenshi's cries were silent ones. "Saba doesn't need a mother like me..." She just wanted to run away... let one of Salmo's assassins find her and slaughter her...

"Tenshi..." The only thing Tourit could think to do was clutch his wife and grab her close, child still in his open arm. "Tenshi, my love...There was nothing you could have done about it. My father...He jumped in the way of the blade. He gave his life to Saba. My father wanted us to have a full family...He wanted us to be happy..." Tourit felt hot tears going down his face. Now all three of them were crying together. "Please...My people will love you as queen. You are the most caring and loving woman I have ever met...They will see that too I swear it." He hugged his child and his wife tight. "I swear, everything will be alright."
His head hurt. It throbbed in pain, but still, he stayed strong. “What are you trying to prove to her? You know you’re far too weak to protect her. You’re too weak to do anything. Let me in control.”
“No…I can’t…I won’t….”
“Let me take control. If you don’t your child and wife will die.”
“I WON’T! STOP!”
“Look at you. Only minutes as king, and you’re already failing.”
“Shut up! Go away and stay gone forever! GO AWAY!”
“Heh heh…I’ll always be here…One day you will realize I should be in control. One day.”

Teshi grasped tightly onto her husband, needed this comfort. She was fighting her own feelings, but she as hurting her love, and her baby. They needed her in this life... but it still hurt. "But now... you're without your father... you've already lost your brother... and now you lost him..." She kept crying, but she had to slow them down. Her hand was still bleeding, but she took her son from her husband, trying to calm him down. He didn't deserve to cry because of his mother. It hurt staring at his little face and thinking that he will never meet one of his grandfathers... but it was better that he had his mother... and his own life... Saba calmed down and grabbed the necklace around her neck again and giggled. Tenshi looked at her husband, who looked like he was in pain... she touched his cheek, as if showing their child smiling and giggling... and for the first time in what felt like forever... smiled, looking at her family. "Thank you... for being strong for our family... for our son..." She kissed him, smiling now, thinking about them living together... being the best rulers of this kingdom... and the best parents for Saba, for many years to come. Who knows what the future of Tayona would be... but Tenshi knew that with her love and child by her side... life would be beautiful.
