The bell rang finally! Pota had been waiting for this day for a long time. The White Dove High Boxing Championship. The young Saiyan was so excited he almost didn't hear his creative writing teacher call for him as he made for the door. "Mr. Pota a word before you go it won't take long I know about the tournament so I won't take up too much of your time." Pota blinked in confusion as he approached his teacher wondering what the problem could be."Yes Mr. Nep is there a problem?" Asked Pota wondering if he had done something to get him into trouble."Not a big one it's just your latest assignment is a little confusing." He pulled up one of Pota's many writing disasters. The Saiyan loved to write stories he just was terrible at writing them and they often ended up colossal screw ups. But Mr. Nep had taken a particular intrest in helping Pota refine his ability so he was getting...better...? "We were supposed to write our own variation of "Hamlet" Pota and it seems here you actually ended up writing a science fiction short story. This wouldn't be a problem only...Well..." His teacher would sigh and adjust his glasses to read the assignment. "The hero is a Namekian, His mother is a Saiyan, which is biologically impossible. The hero's father is still alive and is for some reason a mime. And the evil uncle turns out to be an evil space dolphin." Pota looked from one side and then to the other before giving a half defeated half innocent smile. After a short silence Mr. Nep gave a small chuckle. "Under normal circumstances I would think you were mocking my assignment but seeing as you actually tried I'll give you a passing grade on it and just pass it off as a satire." Pota would sigh in relief and smile at his teacher."Thanks Mr. Nep I owe you one. Wish me luck in the championship!" His teacher would smile and wave as he sat down to grade more papers. Pota ran down the hallway to the end where Egabbac and Relur were waiting for him."About time you have rocks in your shoes or something-OW!" Relur would exclaim as Egabbac bonked him on the head. "Would you leave my boyfriend alone honestly your so impatient sometimes." Pota would smile and scratch the back of his head bashfully at Egabbac mentioning their relationship he had been dating her for a couple of weeks now. Which was still very new to Pota who had never been in a relationship before. Luckily neither had Egabbac so the awkwardness was mutual and something they actually bonded over."Its alright Gabs Mr. Nep just held me back for a little while to discuss an assignment." Pota had taken to calling Egabbac "Gabs" as a way of shortening her name. And also due to the fact that it drew some unwanted scrutiny from some of the rich girls at their school who made the mistake of making fun of her name. And as Saiyan's tempers calling Egabbac a hot head was understatement of the year, volcano head would do it more justice. Needless to say she ended up in the school newspaper for that stunt. But those girls didn't make fun of her name anymore."Yeah whatever it was probably over one of your Kami awful stories again. I swear I don't know what goes on in your head sometimes." Pota nodded and smiled his usual childish smile. He knew that Relur was just blowing off steam he use to be kind of a bully but after Pota joined the boxing team and summarily whooped up on him. He made peace with him and even started giving him some fighting tips. At a glance one would think Relur disliked Pota but it was just in his nature to be kinda grumpy.
After that Pota looked at his watch and nearly jumped out of his skin. "Oh crap we better get to the locker room and change for the Tournament!" Pota said in a panic as he grabbed Egabbac's hand and nearly dragged her away. Relur following after with an exasperated sigh. They would reach the gym and go quickly change before coming back out and scanning the area for their captain and Pota's own sensei Gira.

The gymnasium. Gira remembered her first time setting foot here, looking to join the boxing team. She was a much different person back then. She didn't have the cares or the experiences she had now. Part of her wished she could go back in time and just live in that day forever. Then again, another part of her was happy about the person she became. The hybrid had been through a lot this past year. Met plenty of new friends, experienced other planets, and grew in power more than she thought possible. Speaking of new friends, She noticed Pota entering the gym, presumably after getting changed. Gira had gotten changed awhile ago.
"Reminiscing?" Came a voice from behind the hybrid. Gira jumped slightly and turned to the source of the voice, noticing Pence, former Captain of the boxing team and one of her best friends. He laughed at Gira's surprise before clapping her on the shoulder. "Sorry I frightened you. You just looked like you were pretty deep in thought."
"Hm, yeah. I was just thinking about how this is going to be my last time in the ring here. It just makes me... I dunno, sad, I guess?" Gira chuckled uncomfortably.
"Yeah, I guess it is a little sad. I guess we just gotta give it our all. Go out with a bang, right?" He smiled at the hybrid. "Don't get too teary-eyed on me now. If you're like this at our last competition, I don't wanna see what you're like at graduation next month." Gira pushed him playfully.
"Hey, who said I was getting teary-eyed? You're right, though. We gotta bring out our A-game and bring home the gold." She gave Pence an enthusiastic thumbs up. The boy chuckled.
"That's the spirit. Well, i'm gonna go get changed. Our opponents should be arriving soon. Hopefully Kaci can make it. I heard she has detention, but she's gonna try to get out of it before the championship starts." Pence and Gira gave their farewells before the former walked off to the locker room. At that point, Gira finally walked over to Pota, giving him a wave.
"Yo! You all set for the championships? I hear Greenwood High has a really good team this year. They might even provide a challenge for us." Gira grinned at her friend. She was very clearly excited for her last time in the ring. She was determined to lead the team to victory and truly go out with a bang.

Pota finally spotted Gira and waved back. She was probably just as excited about this as he was maybe even more. Gira then mentioned that their opponents ,Greenwood High had a good team and would probably even present a worthwhile fight. This got Pota pretty excited as well which reminded him of something he wanted to bring up to Gira. "That reminds me..." Pota pulled out his cell and went to BoaTube. He typed in a name to the search bar then played the video. "Take a look at this I did some research on their team in preparation for today like coach asked me to. I didn't think I was gonna find anything other than the usual until I came across this." Pota turned the screen towards Gira for her to watch. The video showed a human in yellow shorts going up against a goliath of a man.
"Peppre gives him a hook and jab to the midsection! And another hook to the face! Dear Kami folks this is one brutal match up! Another jab and another and another!! Thank heavens the coach is throwing in the towel! WAIT Peppre is still hitting this poor lad! And there's referee finally intervening! Folks I don't think I've seen such a brutal match up in my life it looks like this kid is going to need medical treatmen-" Pota paused the video as the large opponent turned his back on the camera.
"Look..." Pota said pointing at the one known as Peppre's lower back. Upon a first glance no one would notice anything. But looking closer one would see the arc of a brownish tail peeking up from the boxer's shorts. "That's their team Captain Peppre. That kid got a severe concussion, a broken jaw, 6 broken ribs along with 3 cracked ones. Now I think me and you can handle him. But then again its no guarantee we'll be matched up with him. What do you think? You're team captain so it's your call. But personally I don't think its safe for any humans to be in the ring with this guy. He doesn't seem to care about disqualification. He just seems to like hurting his opponents."

Gira leaned over and watched as Pota pulled up a video on BaoTube, saying something about doing research on their opponents in preparation for today. Gira admittedly had been slacking in the research department. Nowadays, with her great increases in power, planet-busting villains were about the only things that could threaten her now. Still, the video that Pota showed her was concerning. The brutality of it all sickened her. She had a special sort of rage for those who enjoyed bringing harm to others. He was a Saiyan too, one of their own kind. The brutality in that case was understandable. Gira frowned after the video ended, looking Pota in the eye seriously.
"I agree. None on this team should have to face him. They will get hurt for sure. Leave him to me. A captain should face a captain after all, and with how brutal he appears to be, it would be best if we didn't take any chances. I'll end it in one punch, man." Gira clapped Pota on the shoulder. After that, the audience for the championships began filing into the gym, taking their seats. The hybrid scanned the crowd for Kaci, noticing the blond as one of the first people to enter. The two waved to one another, Pence showing up shortly thereafter with the coach.
"Okay, kids, to the stands. Matches start in five minutes, so don't wander off!" After the coach took his position and began jotting down notes on his clipboard, Greenwood High's team came in from the other side of the gym, taking a seat with their coach on the opposite side of the gym. Gira sighed and sat down in the stands. The referee came in a couple of minutes later, gesturing both of the captains over to the ring, telling them to give him the lineup. Once the first match was determined, the referee called both of the fighters up. Gira selected Pence to go first. He was going up against Sharptner, the third best fighter on the team if memory served the hybrid.
It was third best against third best, but Pence still had experience on his opponent, seeing as how he was a second year while Pence was a third year. The victory was a rather easy one, and soon, White Dove High had their first win on the board. A strong start. Then came the second match; Pota vs Erasr. Pota's opponent was kind of a scrawny boy, but he was known as the Lightning by his team. What he lacked in physical strength, he made up for in quickness. The boy entered the ring, pointing to Pota and smirking, giving him a thumbs down.
"I'm going to take you down, kiddo!"

Pota would nod in response to Gira before hearing their coach call for the five minute mark to the start of the tournament. Before he could head over Egabbac snuck up behind him and covered his eyes up giggling mischievously. "Good luck out the I'll be cheering for you." She said before planting a light kiss on Pota's cheek making him go completely red. Egabbac had already made her way into the bleachers by the time Pence had been called to the stage. Needless to say it was a pretty quick bout Pence had grown pretty strong over the months now having two Saiyans to compete with on his team. Though Pota would always let him win the spars due to the fact that he didn't want the team's morale to drop.
Pota was stronger obviously but Pence was a great leader certainly better than he was. He knew the team better and everyone admired him even Relur even though you wouldn't be able to get him to say it. That's not to say they didn't like Pota they just liked Pence better which Pota was okay with. Another reason for Pota not taking the position of second seat on the team was Gira she had already left Pence in the dust in strength and she could lead the team just as well as he could. Pota knew if he took his position it very well might crush his spirit and he wasn't about to do that to Pence on a mere whim. As the two fighter's exited the ring Pota was finally up. He would be facing someone called Erasr who was the fastest on their team.
Pota remembered during his research for coach that he noticed this one would sacrifice strength for speed. However he had one major weakness he was quick but when he jabbed he leaned too far into his punch causing his momentum to take too much control of his balance that's where Pota would find his victory. After all he couldn't just go all out with this guy he'd end up hurting him real bad and he wasn't gonna become Peppre anytime soon. Erasr pointed at Pota and declared he was going down. The young Saiyan simply smile confidently at him and put his hands up guarding his midsection and face. "You could try for a hundred years and still not beat me." Pota glanced over at where Peppre sat on the opposite side of the ring from White Dove High. "But after we're done here I'd like to have a swing at your captain." Pota would say gesturing towards Peppre plainly so the man himself could see it.
Peppre would give a wicked smile and stare down Pota intensely. "Can't wait kid." He would say with a slight growl to his voice.

Gira simply watched as Pota faced down his first opponent. She wasn't too worried. Reaching out and feeling the power of the so-called "fastest in Greenwood High", that became even more evident. He was strong for the average human. Clearly he had developed a decent skill in using ki. Still, Gira and Pota were much better at it. This would be clear even to those who couldn't sense energy very shortly. As Pota put his guard up, the referee would call for the two fighters to touch gloves. Once they did so, Pota's opponent would put his mouth guard in. Then, their battle would begin at the ring of the bell.
The man put his guard up and rushed Pota. The boxer aimed to take his opponent down quickly, so he was sure to hold nothing back, bringing both fists up to be level with his face, he struck at Pota with a series of quick jabs, following up with a right hook aimed at The Saiyan's cheek. The right hook left the "fastest in Greenwood High" quite open, however. His entire left side was susceptible to an ambush. Pota could end it right now if he wished. The man was indeed very squishy and while he was indeed fast for a human of his caliber, he wasn't near fast enough to hit Pota if Pota didn't want to be hit.

Pota would dodge the first set of jabs easily as the human youth tried desperately to end the fight quickly. As Erasr left a very obvious opening for Pota he would go in for a ever so light love tap however nothing that would end the fight immediately. Pota was a good sportsman if anything and he wanted to have at least a little fun if not just warm up for the coming rounds. As Pota's light punch made contact with Erasr's gut it would merely knock the wind out of him where as Pota could have easily knocked him out of the ring. "No no man your stance is all wrong you put too much weight into your swings and no offense you don't have much weight in the first place. You should focus more on your agility, speed, and balance before trying to put so much power into your punches or else people who are faster will just get out of your way and counter. Kinda like I just did. Now try again but this time keep your footing."
Pota would put up his hands and wait for Erasr to come at him with his next assault. However if Greenwood's seat three didn't pick up the pace the Saiyan youth would just get bored and end this. After all he didn't want to keep Gira waiting on her match.

Erasr was shocked at Pota's ability to dodge his strikes so quickly. He went at him at full speed! Yet, Pota was able to get out of the way as if he was punching in slow motion! Then he had the balls to give him advice! Erasr smirked at his opponent. "Heh, not bad, kid. You've got guts, i'll give you that much." He took up his stance again, throwing several quick punches at Pota's left and right flanks. They were incredibly quick and it seemed he was taking some of Pota's advice to heart. His footing was much better and he appeared much more on balance than before. Still, to someone like Pota, his punches could be easily dodged or blocked with little to no consequence. Erasr was a simple human with very little ki training if any at all.
Gira watched Pota's fight, sighing a little bit. Her friend would try to find a good fight anywhere, even when the opponent was significantly weaker than him. In comparison, Pota was a dinosaur and Erasr was an ant. She hoped he would just end the fight soon. She had a match of her own she wanted to get to. Still, she wouldn't pressure Pota to finish it now. Gira would let him have his fun for the time being.

Pota would dodge one punch after another as Erasr came at him with a little more skill than he had shown earlier. Pota smiled as he bobbed and weaved out of the way of each blow easily as if he was sparring with a child that had just learned to fight. "Alright that's alot better Erasr however I can feel my captain getting antsy over on the sidelines she isn't much of one for waiting so..." Pota would deliver a swift yet light jab with one knuckle out stretched to the human's forehead then moved to ease his opponent's fall onto the ring floor. No need to cause anymore damage to the poor guy than had already been inflicted. It was unfortunate enough that he had to face Pota in his first match. As he set his inevitably unconscious opponent onto the ring floor he would turn and give Gira a thumbs up and a huge childish grin.
"Your Turn Gira sorry for the wait I didn't want it to end too quickly." Pota would put his hands behind his head in a relaxed position as he walked out of the ring holding his hand out to Gira as he passed her for a high five. "Go easy on whoever you have to face eh?" He would say teasingly before walking over to the bench and sitting next to Relur.
"Between you, Pence, and Gira all of our matches are pretty much just half time shows. Seriously how am I gonna follow you guys my opponent is a Senior but he's never even won a match in his entire career. You guys get to have all the fun at these tournaments." Relur sighed seeming not too anxious for his fight which was up next his opponent being a small Senior named Calcu. Pota remembered him from his research and Relur was right he had never won one match in fact he was only on the team because his father forced him. His father being Greenwood's Coach Lator. It was gonna be a short match indeed but for now Gira was up against their seat two boxer Koob. He was the second largest on Greenwood's team only dwarfed by Peppre himself and almost as cruel if Pota remembered right. However Gira wouldn't have any trouble with him he was a brute and slow as hell relying almost completely on strength.
"You ready Girly I'm gonna knock you so hard into this stage people will mistake you for a floor design." He would laugh at his poorly designed joke and stomp one foot in front of him and the other behind him making the stage shake with the force and put his hands up in front of him gesturing Gira to come at him with one glove.

Gira watched as Pota easily dodged and blocked his opponent's attacks. The fight was going about how the captain envisioned, though she didn't take into account Pota wanting to have a good fight. She just gave up on any hope of that here. She never really got a good fight in championships past, and now she was leaps and bounds stronger than ever before. If someone actually managed to give her a good, fun fight, she would be pleasantly surprised. Turning her attention back to the ring, Pota finished his match with a gentle knockout. The White Dove section of the crowd cheered and applauded along with their team as Pota came down from the ring, paramedics taking his opponent to examine him and give him proper medical attention.
When the Saiyan held out his hand for a high five, Gira grinned and gave him one. "Not bad at all. But don't worry, i'll go easy on them. I'll let them throw a few punches so they don't feel too bad when I finally end it." The hybrid chuckled. "Well, guess i'm up." Leaping into the ring, Gira came face-to-face with her opponent, Koob. He was a large brute of a man, but that didn't mean much to her. Lots of people were big and strong and a lot weaker than she was. The teen wasn't herself what one would call "big and strong." She definitely had some lean muscle on her. When someone worked out like she did, of course they would get that. Gira's true strength, however, came from her mastery of ki.
Even someone who was physically weak could become incredibly strong when they use ki to augment their physical attributes. The teen was so busy analyzing her opponent, she didn't even hear his pre-fight trash talk. Turning her head to the side slightly, she spoke to him. "Sorry, did you say something?" Upon seeing him gesture for the captain to come at him, she blinked a few times. "Are you sure you don't wanna come at me first? I'm a lot stronger than I look you know." Eventually, Gira just shrugged. "Oh. 'Kay then. Guess i'll just end it in one blow." Gira grinned confidently before getting in a ready position. "You wanna know your weakness? You're big, yeah. But your bulky muscles make you slow. For example..."
Gira hesitated for a moment. She wanted to give her friends an idea of how strong she was in this tournament, but now that she had her chance, she began to realize that it wasn't as easy as she originally thought it would be. Closing her eyes briefly, Gira took a deep breath to calm herself. In an instant, the hybrid vanished from her position, reappearing in the same second behind Koob in the air, even with the top of her opponent's head. She wasted no time, giving Koob a light flick to the back of the head with her middle finger, aiming to knock him out and send him flying out of the ring. Seeing this display, Pence's mouth opened wide in surprise.
If it could, it would have dropped to the floor. Just what kind of training did she do!? If Koob was indeed out of commission, Gira would whistle innocently and hop out of the ring, joining back up with her team, the teen sat down on the bench. Looking at the shocked expressions around her, Gira chuckled nervously and averted her gaze. She'd owe them an explanation later.

As Koob went flying out of the arena it looked as if he would crash into his own team's seating area. However in a blink of an eye a massive form would appear just before he collided with his fellow team members. This was none other than Peppre standing there just holding Koob up by his two arms. Koob looked at Peppre in surprise. "Uuuuuh. T-thanks Captain I thought I was gonna get seriously hurt there for a moment." At Koob's remark the captain would set him down on his feet with the Saiyan towering over the large human who was giving Peppre a nervous smile. Peppre would smile back and then suddenly strike Koob in the gut sending him into the gym wall with a loud crash.
"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF EVERYONE HERE EMBARRASSING THIS TEAM!!" Peppre yelled in disgust as he directed his look to Calcu who was getting ready to walk up to the stage to face Relur. "Sit down Calcu we've had enough embarrassments today and you would ruin this team's reputation with you incapability." Calcu looked up at Peppre with a sort of hurt puppy dog look in his eyes.
"But I've been training so hard to be part of this please captain just let m-"
"Sit down son! Peppre is right you would only make things worse let the captain take it from here!" Commanded the coach as Calcu surrendered to his father's judgement and sat back down sadly. The coach then held up a white card signaling to the ref that this match was forfeited. The score board would ding as Relur's match showed a victory by forfeit.
"OH COME ON!" Relur sank back into his chair as the ref called out the next opponents. Pota's gut turned as he heard Pence being matched up against Peppre. Pota looked at Gira with a pleading look to throw in the towel before anyone got hurt. But when he turned to keep Pence from the ring he was already up there facing down the colossal Saiyan.
"Not good really not good!!" Thought Pota as he anxiously watched for what would happen next.

Gira narrowed her eyes from the stand towards Peppre. What kind of captain treated their teammates like that? The coach wasn't much better, doing nothing about Peppre's savage treatment of Koob by slamming him into a wall. On the bright side, Relur's match was won by forfeit, but the hybrid couldn't help but think that something terrible was going to happen. Her suspicions were confirmed when the next match was called; Pence versus Peppre. 'No, I can't let him face that monster.' Turning to Pence she began to suggest to him that he forfeit when the former captain turned and gave her a confident smile, a thumbs up soon following. He stood up, putting in his gloves and mouth guard as he stepped up into the ring.
Gira silently prayed that he would be alright, though she feared that the worst was going to happen. As Pence took his place in the ring, he looked over at Peppre. "Some captain you are." He raised his fists. "I'm gonna show you what a honorable fighter looks like." Taking a lunge forward, Pence threw a quick, heavy jab at Peppre's left and right. His movements were quick and precise, though he lacked the augmented physical capabilities of someone who had mastery over ki.

Peppre may have been the size of a freight train but he could move faster than one as unexpected as it would seem. As Pence lunged at him he simply pivoted his body out of the way letting the blow pass by him hitting nothing but air. "Honorable?" Peppre would say as he pivoted back into Pence and gut punched him in an attempt to break ribs and force the wind from the significantly smaller human's body. "Honor is an excuse for the weak to seem strong you've obviously never been on a true battlefield boy!" Peppre would then pepper the White Dove's co-captain with a ferocious series of body and face punches not letting up for a second for Pence to get his guard back up. Everyone watched in horror as Pence got hit with what seemed like wrecking balls for fists Pota at that point pushed passed all his teammates to Gira.

Pence was shocked as Peppre moved out of the way of his jab so easily. Before he could even regain his footing and prepare a defense, he felt a massive fist slam into his gut with the force of a freight train. His ribs snapped like twigs against the force, blood flying from his mouth as it was forced out from his lungs being struck with so much power, all of the air was being forced out of them. He gasped desperately and began to fall. The co-Captain would get no time to rest. Before he could even fall to the ground, his body was forced up to its feet again by his opponent's punches. He stepped further and further backwards as he was pummeled to a bloody pulp. Gira held her knees firmly, watching with concern as one of her oldest friends was beaten mercilessly by this Saiyan.
Pota wanted to join in and stop this, but Gira shook her head reluctantly. "This is his fight. If you join, he'll be disqualified. He can still win this!" She watched on the edge of her seat. 'Come on... come on, Pence...' The hybrid kept her eyes on the battle, but at this point, her friend had no chance. Finally, she couldn't just sit and watch this veritable massacre anymore. With a frustrated growl, she finally cried out. "STOP!" In an instant, she moved from her seat into the ring as Peppre threw another punch, catching it in her left hand. She held his fist firmly, hopefully making sure he couldn't move it. Finally given a break from the onslaught, Pence's body fell onto the ring.
He had clearly gone unconscious some time ago, only kept up by the force form his opponent's blows. Looking down at the unconscious Pence, tears formed in her eyes. Her grip on Peppre's fist tightened even further as she turned her head to look the big Saiyan brute in the eye. The hybrid could hardly maintain her composure, as evidenced by the color of her eyes turning to a bright teal, signaling that she was on the cusp of taking on the golden glow of her Super Saiyan state. She looked back at Pence, then back again at Peppre. Gira spoke in a frighteningly quiet, soft tone. "If you even breathe, i'm going to punt you into orbit." She gave the Saiyan's fist one final squeeze, narrowing her eyes at him before hurrying to Pence's side, kneeling down to make sure he was alive.
She could still feel a faint energy coming from him. He was indeed alive, but just barely. "Can I get some help over here!?" Gira called out to the paramedics, trying to hide the panic in her voice unsuccessfully. The two men snapped out of their shock and rushed over to load Pence onto a stretcher. Gira ignored the referee declaring Peppre the winner and hopped down to see her friend, taking his hand and squeezing it lightly. Pence groaned and opened his eyes, though one remained closed because it was beginning to swell shut.
"S-Sorry, Cap. He was just... too strong." Gira shushed him.
"Don't even worry about it. Just rest. We're still gonna win this, I promise." Gira squeezed his hand a little tighter. Pence let out a weak laugh.
"Oddly enough, I feel a lot better." He went limp, deciding to take Gira up on her advice and rest. Gira turned towards Peppre and gave him a murderous glare one last time before release Pence's hand and heading back to her seat, the paramedics taking the injured fighter away to a hospital.
