Capper tilts his head, eyeing the next match, shaking his head. Shemha is a familiar name, but the saiyan never expected the kind Cipher to be like this. "Major League. Arena Five. Shemha verses Cipher Red. Be there or be square."

The sounds of cheering from the stand wasn't something he was particularly used to. Now the sounds of screaming, now THAT was a familiar tune. He couldn't help but wonder how quickly he could turn those cheers into gasps of horror. The thought brought a small smile to his face.
Quietly, the tall slim figure, wearing a coat of red, stepped out into the ring. The resemblance was uncanny. The pale fave of Cipher 24. There was something different about him. The headpiece was replaced by a set of horns. The streaks on his face were a bright red, almost like blood. And there was something about his eyes. There was something behind them, both controlled and raging at the same time.
Upon seeing his opponent, the majin Shemha, a small smirk appeared on his pale face. "Ah, Commander Shemha," he said, giving her a small bow, "The Queen's right hand Majin, commander of the SSE's forces, and the universe's strongest sentient stress ball." Even the similarity in voices was uncanny. But there was something...off about it. While Cipher's formality was genuinely respectful, this one had an underlying sense of cruel mockery, hidden by a thin veil of fake civility. "I must admit, I wasn't expecting someone like you in the first round. Well, guess it makes for a good warm up."
He cricked his neck as he shifted his shoulders. The blood red coat her wore slipped to the floor, revealing a pale, slender, yet muscled frame. Unlike Cipher 24, Cipher Red only had two arms. "Speaking of stress balls. There's one thing I've been curious about." He brought his arms up in a stance, a blood red aura surrounding him as his eyes, smirk and voice took on a dangerous edge.
"How much damage can one take before it breaks?"

This was…far grander than the Majin imagined when she pictured the arena itself. All around them sat or stood onlookers, some fans or foes of the two warriors. Overall it didn’t bother her, an audience ultimately irrelevant with a set of rules laid down for each and every fight. In this for herself, she held no obligation here, but to do her best and try to see this tournament through. For once in her life, Shemha fought for her own desires and that alone.
Of course even if her reason for partaking in this was selfish, she would not allow herself to be rude in front of so many. Returning the bow her opponent offered, the Commander took another look at her opponent. Grasping the concept that alternate Universes allowed for different version of individuals, the experience presented a small amount of shock. This creature across from her looked like Cipher, but there were difference in both appearance and demeanor. The question remained…how much alike were the two?
His aggressive words and approach left little time for delving into that of course, his rising energy levels an indication of his forthcoming attack. No longer the pushover she once was, Shemha met his words with a smirk. No matter what this version of Cipher truly was, Shemha of Universe 15 was no easy foe. One of the strongest combatants from her own Universe, she planned to take this tournament to the end.
”Well, if I am a stress ball than you must be comparable to a hand grip. From my experience when one applies intense pressure to a stress ball it merely compresses. A grip on the other hand, breaks. Seems I am built to outlast you, no?” Shemha suggested as that smirk remained on her face. This was going to be fun.
Fists clenched at her sides, the Majin’s legs spread slightly, power from within surging as she moved to match his increase. Limited by the powerful creatures that controlled this tournament she did not have full access to her strength, but she knew this Cipher would be limited just the same. This fight and all the others were about strategy and skill, not outright power. For all her life she had focused on strategy due to her inferior strength and with her new found power suppressed it appeared that once more she would rely on her roots to win the day.

Cipher Red gave a sinister chuckle at Shemha's response. "Well, isn't this a little refreshing." he smirked, eyeing her as the dark red energy circled around him. "Makes me wish our universe had someone like you. Would make the war so much fun. After all, we have so much in common."
Suddenly, Cipher Red shot forward, quickly closing the distance between the two of them. It looked like the android was going to make the first move, to unleash the energy he was charging up within him.
But as he closed in, the energy suddenly dropped.
"FURY!""
Suddenly, a burst of unnatural rage flared out from Cipher Red. The energy wouldn't harm Shemha, it wasn't designed to. Instead it should disrupt that energy Shemha was charging, throw the majin off balance. Cipher grinned wildly as red energy formed in his right hand.
"Pale Lance!"
Cipher Red thrust his hand forward, firing the thin piercing beam from a closer range than he needed to be. Instead of aiming for her torso or head though, Cipher Red directed the beam at Shemha's left shoulder.
He hadn't been kidding when he said he wanted to see how much damage Shemha could take.

She offered a snort in response to his initial words. Unable to say if they were truly alike for she knew little of him, she doubted it to be the case. Multiple individuals compared themselves to her and every time, they were wrong. Why was it that others thought they understood her, understood her motives and longings? She doubted anyone truly understood her, save maybe Habana. Sadly, with the majority of her friends not seen in months, she might very well be alone. In part that was the reason for her dedication to her people, the SSE something she belonged too and something that belonged to her.
Pushing the distracting thoughts from her mind she prepared to counter whatever he had planned, but the wave of energy that washed over her disrupted the Ki gathered within her form and an instant later, it dissipated. Caught off guard by the negative wave of energy she wasn’t fully prepared for his follow up.
Searing pain shot through her shoulder as the thin beam burned right through her rubbery body. A sharp hiss escaped her lips in response, but she was no stranger to pain. Being taken apart particle by particle dwarfed the injury in terms of intensity and with her durable body; it was far from a rehabilitating attack.
”If you seek to test my durability…I suggest you try harder!”
Shemha shouted as her head snapped forward. The long tendril atop it coiled in the process before it snapped forward. Much like an extra appendage, the whip-like extension shot for his face, the end of it glowing with purplish energy. Aimed for his nose, she hoped to at least stagger him back with the blow, her own feet back pedaling to create a little space. Through it all, whether the shot connected or not, that hole in her shoulder vanished with the sound of a wet pop. Holes put into her no doubt took a toll, but they were far less debilitating than they might be against creature of flesh and bone.

Cipher Red had expected a majin to be able to take an attack like that. After all, they were more durable than Arcosians! But still, he made the arcosians regret their durability. Would he be able to do the same for Shemha? Cipher Red really wanted to.
As Shemha retorted with her counter attack, the blow caught Cipher Red right in the face. The android spun backwards, allowing Shemha to put some distance between the pair of them. He quickly caught his footing, one hand over his face. Slowly he brought his hand away, seeing some blood from his nose. An amused grin spread across as he eyed his opponent.
"Not bad. But it will take more than a bop on the nose to stop me," he chuckled, "Just ask all the arcosians who lost their tails thinking it was a good choice for a weapon." He suddenly shot back towards her, moving to close the gap as he lashed out with a flurry of punches and kicks. No sense in giving the enemy a chance to breath and strategize. It had always been a fun tactic during the war with Arcose.

Separated from him as her strike landed, Shemha reset her stance. Blood was now drawn from both sides and there would be more before this was done. Well aware of the rules and that killing was not allowed, she knew that warriors of this caliber could handle extensive amounts of damage before succumbing to their injuries. Holding back was not needed and frankly, not an option against such a powerful foe. As he spoke again she wanted to scoff at his confidence.
Cipher’s words alone spoke of the violence he enjoyed, the Arcosians he mentioned apparent victims in some war in his universe. Perhaps his confidence and desire for inflicting pain on others could be used against him. Clearly an aggressive fighter, Shemha chose to bide her time as he rushed back in.
The majin met him head on, the onslaught of strikes met with strikes in return. Each impact between the warriors sent ripples through the air, shockwaves that reached the crowd around them. Focused more on deflecting his strikes, she looked to find a pattern in his attacks. If she learned that style of combat he preferred, she could employ measures to counter it. Often she let her opponents take the lead, learning their techniques and style until she felt confident enough to counter it.
”You speak as if your merits from your home universe matter here. Regardless of the feats or accomplishments you may boast, in this arena, you are merely an android that stands in my way.” Shemha said with a hint of venom in her voice, the words meant to feed his aggression. While she watched and parried his strikes, she also awaited his reaction, curious to see how he would respond to the prodding.

Cipher Red's smile never faded as the two titan clashed violently. Each blow being parried and deflected, only to be followed by another. The two of them seemed rather well matched. However, Shemha may find his style more difficult to read than she might think. Cipher Red was a monster. A murderous psychopath. But he was also an intelligent psychopath. He knew his opponent was skilled. She wouldn't be the commander of Universe 15's saiyan forces if she was just some strong brute. As such, while he moved to keep the pressure on, he made sure to keep watch for any sign of a counter attack.
As their fists clashed and Shemha gave a retort, denouncing his accomplishments, Cipher Red couldn't help but chuckle. He had heard talk like that before, from the saiyans he had fought in the past. And then an idea struck him.
"That's funny. That's exactly what Habana said...and then she died!"
He kicked himself back, putting some distance between them. "Ah yes. I remember it clearly. Watching that confidence change to frustration , then anger, and then to fear." a giddy smile spread across his face, shuddering in glee. "I think she even cried a bit at the end. Oh, it was brilliant!" he let out a small sigh, calming himself down a little. "I wonder how your Habana will act? Will it be the same? More? Less? I'm excited to find out!"

With a kick Cipher pulled himself from close combat, disengaging from her. Not surprisingly, he ran his mouth again. Clearly one of his greatest talents, the android spoke of the Habana he defeated in his Universe. The Saiyan Queen was the sole individual Shemha was close to these days, perhaps her only friend. To hear of her death, something Shemha personally fought to prevent on multiple occasions might have unsettled her she he have limited the details or lies, whichever they truly were.
”Surely you jest.” Shemha started before a small chuckle escaped her. ”This Habana you defeated was so weak that defeat reduced her to tears? It’s sad to hear that the Saiyans of your Universe are so pathetic. The Habana I know is a superior warrior and indomitable force, but sadly, you won’t get the chance to face her in this tournament. Maybe you can challenge her to an exhibition match and then you can see how lucky you are she was not the Queen you faced!” Shemha roared as her energy spiked.
Arms thrown out to her sides, fingers splayed a playful grin crept onto her face. Energy surged within and around her, the Majin Commander summoning forth power. His words were telling, this version of Cipher far lessor a creature than the warrior she knew.
”Since you won’t have the privilege of taking her on let me give you a sample of her power, the strength of our empire in Universe 15. When you wake up, I will be interested to hear your take on a comparison.” Shemha threatened as she prepared to show him the unbridled power of the SSE. This specific technique was honestly, her pride and joy, a symbol that she belonged as the Commander of the empire. In her perspective power was earned, and the Final Flash was her badge of honor.

The twisted android's smirk stretched across his face. At first, his words had no effect, her retort being a scoff and a laugh. But then her voice devolved into an angry roar. It seems he had hit a sensitive nerve. And that was Cipher's intention.
And it paid off big time. He felt the majin's power surge as she splayed out her arms, charging up incredible power. Cipher's eyes widened. He. didn't recognized this technique. He had never seen the Zucceta of his universe use it. Was this the true power of the saiyans? A powerful technique that could destroy armies.
But instead of panic or concern, his face spread into a manic grin.
"Yes!" he yelled out triumphantly, spreading out his arms similar to Shemha, "This is what I'm talking about!" Red energy surged through his body. "Show it to me! Show me the true power of the saiyans! The power that destroyed and enslaved countless worlds! The true power of a conquerer! " Cipher wasn't frightened at all! He was ecstatic!

Shemha maintained her stance as Cipher shouted. Whatever it was he hoped to gain through witnessing the Final Flash and being on the receiving end of it was beyond her, but she was just fine with delivering it. Whether he was a fool, overconfident or somehow strong enough to withstand the mighty attack, he remained the target of it just the same. As the android gathered his own energy, power swelled within the Majin.
She remembered how good it felt to gather the required energy for the technique, that flow of raw power through her veins. Not usually one to win through brute strength, but finesse, the Saiyan bred Final Flash was an oddball in her arsenal, yet one she took great satisfaction in using. Arms outstretched, her red skin bulged as power flowed into it. While her kind processed no muscles like the warriors she swore allegiance to, her form still felt the stress of the gathering storm. However, it was nothing compared to what her opponent was about to feel…the undisputable disappointment of defeat.
”FINAL…”
Shemha shouted as golden energy crackled around her. Normally the majority of her Ki blasts and techniques sported a red hue, but this was again an exception. Brought back to the Empire by Habana herself, the technique was alien to the Commander, one mastered as her newest position demanded. Arcs of energy leapt across her frame, dancing their way down her appendages. As the second syllable of the word left her mouth, the majin’s arms swung inward. They met at the wrist and there her fingers curled, forming a bowlike shape between them. In that small pocket a golden sphere flickered to life. Radiating raw power, the ball flashed for an instant before it exploded into a beam of intense energy, the attack headed straight for Cipher.
”…FLASH!”

As Shemha's energy climbed, so did Cipher Red's, the android grinning wildly at the sight of suck a powerful attack. As her body bulged and rippled from the arcs of golden energy, Cipher Red's own body was surrounded by a swirled red vortex of madness and bloodlust. It was like a clash between good and evil. Or in this case, evil versus much much less evil.
But then, through the maelstrom of energy, Cipher Red noticed something. Was Shemha's energy...dropping? It certainly wasn't getting higher than that massive spike from earlier. It definitely seemed to be dropping, more to match his own rising energy. Cipher Red's manic smile slowly faded. What was this?
And then Shemha fired. The mighty blast of the Final Flash rocketed towards the mad android. Through the chaotic energy, one could almost see Cipher's face take on a sharp glare.
And then, that evil energy which had been building up, vanished.
The blast tore through the ring, shooting past and over the heads of the audience, what watched on in amazement. As the attack finally cleared, there was no sign of the android, only the deep gouge her attack tore in the arena. Had she knocked him out of the ring? There wasn't any sign of him outside. Had the majin perhaps gone overboard and possibly killed her opponent? That couldn't be.
"Disappointing."
It was much worse. Not only had the mad android somehow managed to avoid the attack, but had gotten right behind her! A blood red dagger of malevolent energy formed in his pale hand, as he moved to drive right into the Majin's back. There was no smile on his face now. Just a glare of pure contempt.
"Such power is wasted on you." He said, his voice dripping with disgust. Was this the power of Universe 15's SSE? Was this really who their queen selected to lead their armies? It was all one giant disappointment to him now.

Shemha savored the feeling of the energy leaving her, yet…it felt off when the attack actually released. When her attack cleared, she looked to see the outcome, still expecting to see Cipher taken out of the fight. Unfortunately for her, whatever it was that dampened her power also dampened the strength of her best technique. Unsure of where the android had gone, she was unlucky enough to be the victim of the strange rules of the tournament and one foolish enough to not adjust for them. As her eye scanned for the android, her search was interrupted by a searing pain in the center of her back.
Cipher’s dagger drove between her shoulder blades before unleashing a violent shock within her. The majin stumbled as the shock racked her body, but she did maintain her footing. Staggering away from the cowardly android, she felt she now understood what sort of creature he was.
Several long strides away from him now, she rolled her neck as the wound in her back began to close, magical tissue knitting itself back together.
”Disappointing indeed.” Pain evident in her voice as the effects of the backstab dissipated. ”Perhaps luck follows you from your Universe, Cipher. My technique was limited in some way by whatever it is that restrains our energy levels so keep that disgust in your voice, but know you have only felt some of the power of the Empire.” Frustrated with herself more than anything, Shemha rolled her neck once more. The Saiyan influence in her life wasn’t always to her benefit, her desire to sometimes take a headstrong approach occasionally for the worse.
Confidence unwavering she looked back to him with a smirk and simply stood her ground.

Normally he would have derived satisfaction from inflicting pain on an enemy. But this time, this time was just disappointing. She had really gotten his hopes up with that Final Flash. As she gave her excuse, how the rules of the tournament somehow dampened her attack, it just seemed to make things worse. So the attack WAS capable of something, but he wouldn't get to see it. Not here at least.
"Perhaps you should have looked into the rules more carefully, before you got my hopes up and ruined my fun." Cipher Red sent her a sharp glare. "You know, I expected more from you. An unstoppable warrior, all that evil bouncing around inside you from your victims, second in command to a conquerer. Hell, you're even red! Just like me. But now all I see is a gumball saiyan. I can't even have the pleasure of throttling you with your own tail."
He suddenly shot forward, fists flying to punch at the injured Majin. "Now get out of my ring you disappointment!"

Arms at her sides, an almost casual stance about her, Shemha allowed him to run his mouth once more. Full of self-promotions and over confidence in himself, she figured it only a matter of time before the off balanced android rushed at her. In her day she never met Realigner Red, the altered version of Vi-Poi. From what she heard he was violent and powerful, capable of destruction at a level impressive enough to destroy planet Namek. From what she understood of Cipher’s universe, that Vi-Poi was the only version that existed. Funny thing was, Shemha would likely trust the murderous robot more than she trusted Vi-Poi himself.
At least with a violent warrior, one that took pleasure in the suffering of others like Cipher, they were usually brutally honest about what they wanted. It did not make them right of course, but Cipher’s desire to throttle her was likely the true extent of his feelings. Of course the android would not get the choice if she could help it. Hurting from the two solid blows he had landed thus far to her one, she was far from out. Power dampened or not, the both of them were some of the strongest warriors from their realms and both capable of tanking more than a few hits.
As he closed on her with another aggressive flurry of blows she met them with gusto, but back to that natural reserved state she exhibited when she landed her first strike. In rhythm she blocked and parried the majority, but when one right snuck by her guard to catch her in the jaw, she chose to lash out.
A quick reshape of her body, allowed her torso to extend, twisting around him slightly before the rest of her body followed. Behind him now as she snapped back to her normal shape, both of Shemha’s arms lifted, slender fingers clasped together. With as much force as she could muster she let the hammer drop, interlocked hands on a direct line for the center of his upper back. To those watching the intentions were clear, she wanted to level him.
”You’re wrong. This is my ring.”
