To be honest, Capper was dreading being the one to start this particular match. Somehow he got the feeling this one would be reeeaaalllly feelsy and dramatic.

[Round One - Jican]
The applause could be heard from the viewing area, even from here as the first people were announced. It's was surprising to have so many people excited for minors! This NEVER happened! Pracross was beyond hyped. The first round was up against his best friend and rival, Jican. With the names being called, the two took stage… but not in the way you’d think.
Instead of walking on, a tornado spawned in the center of the arena. It was small and condensed, so nothing was pulled in. With time, it started to glow, some of the wind starting to “tear” as a silhouette appeared in it. The figure pushed the wind away, causing an explosion of wind and revealing the creature inside.
It was Pracross, spirited and powerful.
“Let’s make this good, Jican!” OOC: Yeah, what he said! Tags: large consume
A familiar voice had found it's way through the intercom.
*bzzt* "In the Minor League we have Jican and Pracross battling in Round One!" *bzzt*
It was time.
Jican walked towards the ring showing confidence on the outside, but in reality he was more scared than he had ever been before. He only had one shot; one opportunity to save his friend from the depths of hell. And the only way to do that was through Pracross, which worried him. In the past, the only reason that Pracross couldn't beat Jican was because of the gap between their power. But now that that gap was gone, neither person had an advantage. It was only a 50/50 chance, but it was one that Jican was more than willing to take."Jican of Universe 15. You're late.", said a Vargras as Jican was approaching the arena. "W-Wait, seriously?! I'm sorry!", the Saiyan apologized. The Vargras sighed, pointing towards the direction of the ring he was fighting on. When he flew there, he noticed an extreme lack of Pracross. Of course, that was until he made his dramatic entrance. The Saiyan's expression was unusually deadpan.
"We need to talk."
The first thing Pracross would most likely notice is that Jican's clothing was very different from what he usually wears. Instead of a blue shirt and navy pants, he instead donned none other than the Star School uniform, minus the bandanna which was replaced by his own. In addition, he wore the headband of his fallen friend, Shibo. The next thing he would probably notice is that he didn't immediately get into his fighting stance. The Saiyan sighed. "Look, Pracross. I didn't want it to come to this, but I need you to do me a favor.", he said. He hesitated.
"I need for you to throw the match for me."
Before Pracross would most likely deny him his request, Jican cut him off. "Just please, let me explain. This tournament is the one shot I have at getting one of the most important people in my life back to life. He's my best friend, and he means the world to me. His life was taken unfairly. All I want is for him to be back. We can always just fight back on Earth, but this one time I need you to back off. Please."
"I don't want to fight you over this."
((OOC: 1. let the feels begin 2. for reference of his new appearance just look to the sprite on the right in my sig 3. i'm going off of the assumption that time to get serious has already happened, so pracross in theory would know about shibo idk if that's ok or not but i'm assuming so)) Pracross Yendatta

[Round One - Jican]
Pracross was confused. Jican wanted to talk? Pracross followed the Saiyan who had a serious face on. It was the first time he hadn't seen him smile… Something was up for sure. The boy marched to the blue wonder, who looked at Pracross with painful eyes.
He asked Pracross to throw the match.
“What?! No, I-” He was hushed. Jican started to explain. It was not what Pracross wanted to hear from his pal who had always been so hyper to see him. The teen’s heart was pounding, not because of the fight anymore…
But because he had to decline.
“You know I can't do that.”
The Saiyan crossed his arms and shook his head. “You knew damn well from the beginning that I wasn't going to give up, even if you have me this reason. I know you have friends and family in your life that mean well but… you've just gotta let me have a chance. I promise you.”
Pracross was already verging tears. It was so cruel to have to say no to someone begging for their friend. It was like stabbing someone in the heart and leaving them to bleed. It was awful. The recent events didn't help at all, either, with Chai’s recovering depression and Kira’s loss of sight… now this? “I can promise you that if I win this whole thing, everyone will be happy. You've just gotta believe me…”
Pracross turned away, looking up to the stars. “It's a full moon tonight. I hope if you choose to fight, you fight with all you got… I only hope you can forgive me, regardless of outcome.” and with that, Pracross walked away, returning to his spot on the pavement. This was going to be painful in one too many ways.
Jican's fears were true: Pracross had declined his request. "You know, if I'm being honest with myself, I kind of expected this. You've got an iron will. And even when you fought battles where the odds weren't in your favor, you still fought to the fullest...". The Saiyan looked to the ground. "But I need for you to understand. Every single second of training since I-... I mean, since he died was for this moment. To be blunt with you, it's one of the only reasons I even considered joining the Star School. Other than you know, meeting Chai and stuff. I wouldn't have gone through all of this if it wasn't for a good reason. Shibo, he... he taught me everything I know about Earth and then some. And for him to give his life just for me to have a second chance...". Jican realized he was fighting back tears. "Listen, it's nothing personal but while you may have an iron will, I have one too. One that's been slowly building up for years now on nothing but hope. Hope that I can't give up on now.". He balled his hand up into a fist.
"Pracross Yendatta." "For the sake of my best friend." "I WILL defeat you!"
As the match began, Jican would gather his energy in an attempt to go full power right from the start. "I won't be as nice as I was before! Here I come!", the Saiyan said as he charged towards his rival. Jican actually ended up overshooting and flying right past Pracross. He had forgotten about the Vargras technology that increased his power dramatically. "This Vargras tech magic stuff is something else, huh? Time to see what it can do!", he said. With the same speed that he had charged at Pracross with, he would try and turn around and kick Pracross in the back in an attempt to catch him off guard. He needed to do everything possible to win.
After all, only one of them could prevail. ((OOC: it's happening))

[Round One - Jican]
Jican kept talking and talking and Pracross’ heart just kept breaking and breaking… If only he understood the depth of what Pracross was up to, but the Saiyan know Jican wouldn’t listen. He was too preoccupied in his own wishes to realize that Pracross wanted the same thing for Jican. If fact, Pracross wanted more. He wanted his mother back. He wanted Capper’s parent’s back. He wanted to give everyone a second chance… But he couldn’t reveal that yet. Jican had dreams and now was not the time to curve then.
Pracross took his countering pose, one Jican had seen before. The Saiyan stared down the blue haired wonder with dark eyes. It was not like him. Pracross always had starry eyes and his mood was always happy to any degree… This was not him anymore. The Super Sonic Saiyan watched as Jican prepared a dash to fly at Pracross, missing as Pracross dodged. When the Blue Haired Wonder turned back around for a kick, Pracross simply stepped out of the way. “I'm not like I was before. I'm not slow and I'm certainly not weak. You'll get the evidence of that soon enough.”
Pracross flew at Jican, a fist aimed for his friends shoulder. After that first strike, he'd spin around and aim an elbow for his nose. With the strike performed, Pracross would make his way to the edge if the floating platform, drawing his sword. “Hope you're ready…” In the blink of an eye, Pracross was behind Jican, using his mastered speed. The sword was thrown down at Jican, using the flat as not to cut him.
"H-He's fast?!", Jican thought to himself in surprise. Somehow, Pracross had managed to dodge an attack that he would've been demolished by just a matter of weeks ago. The Saiyan was both impressed and frightened. In retrospect, this shouldn't have surprised him as much as it did. While it was true the Vargras tech did increase his strength immensely, it's also true that Pracross's strength was increased to be the exact same as his. This wouldn't be a battle of strength like their others were. It was going to be a fight of skill. "Not slow, huh? You're lucky that Vargras tech is on, otherwise you'd be eating your words.", the Saiyan said. Jican would attempt to block Pracross's fist with his arm as his rival tried plunging an arm into his shoulder. Similarly, he would try and block Pracross's elbow attack by tilting his head to the right. The Saiyans were perfectly evenly matched.
"Swords? Oh, COME on!", Jican said to Pracross. The speedy Saiyan wasn't making this fight any easier for Jican. Before he could react, Pracross had already started his assault once again. He charged straight at Jican, only to reappear behind him prepared to use his sword to attack him from the rear. "Dang it! Where'd he-". He felt the flat end of the sword hit him clean on the back of the head. He took a couple steps foward, rubbing the bruise. "Pracross, I need you to stop this. Now.", the Saiyan said. For some reason, he was still hanging on to the false hope that he could persuade Pracross to stop. "Heh. Chai's rubbing off on me...", the Saiyan said. Assuming that Pracross said 'no' as he most likely would, Jican would shrug. "Welp. There's no way around it, I guess.". With that, Jican would fly at his rival with anger his eyes, delivering an endless onslaught of punches and kicks, ended with a spray of ki blasts at close range.

[Round One - Jican]
Jican seemed to think that the Vargas technology was the thing boosting Pracross’ effort. It was true that it was supporting it, but it was false that it would be just that. The initial punch and elbow strike had failed, making Pracross swallow in doubt. When he vanished with the sword, though, the strike had landed quite well. At the response to it, Jican seemed to get sorrowful and asked Pracross once more to stop… Well, it was more of a demand.
“Jican, I know you want your friend back, and so do I! My wish will bring him back, too! So just LISTEN!” But as expected, he wouldn’t pay attention and would attack with an attack Pracross had seen before. A pure barrage of anger with a resulted ki blast. The Super Sonic Saiyan was ready, though. He dodged, going left, right, left, right, down, left, all at, believe it or not, supersonic speeds. When the ki blast came, Pracross jumped to the side and looked at Jicsn
At the end of the blast, Pracross threw his leg up in a kick, aimed for Jican’s jaw. Then, he’d barrage the boy with a flight of kicks, ending with a sudden headbutt to the other Saiyan’s neck, which if landed, would most likely disorient him, leaving Pracross enough time to jump down and summon an orb of purple, spacey ki in is hand.
Jican's attempts to turn the tables had failed. Pracross had somehow managed to dodge every single one of his strikes. The Saiyan was beginning to get frustrated. He hadn't landed even a single hit on Pracross, and after the barrage he received Jican's energy was beginning to run low. If he was going to win, he would have to wait to get his energy back. Cross had mentioned something about bringing Shibo back with his wish. Jican hesitated, thought for a second, and responded. "Sorry 'cross, but I have to be the one to do it.". He realized that his chances of winning were thinning. Quickly. He'd only have a couple more chances to persuade Pracross to forfeit.
It was time for him to tell the truth. "Listen to me." ((BGM: Wind))
"I haven't been telling you the complete truth. About my past, that is. The truth is...". He hesitated.
"It started in South Capitol."
"Shibo and I were hanging out in the area when we heard an explosion. Some god of a brat had attacked a nearby Capsule Corp building, burning it down to the ground. The two of us saved some people's lives. It was an epic clash, me, Shibo, one of my old friends Conan, and a stranger named Ichiba versus a group of freak shows and the aforementioned kid. You would think that we would have won, right? The good guys always win, right?", he said. Jican didn't even realize he was crying. "Conan died. Shibo died.". The Saiyan lifted part of his shirt, revealing the scars of a fatal wound.
"Do you know how pathetic that makes you feel? To watch your best friend die to save you, only to let him down and die too?! This is the only chance I have to make it up to him. Two years, Pracross. Two years we spent in the afterlife. And when the day came that we tried to escape hell? He gave up his chance at another life for me. I could never thank him enough for that. I'm not stupid, Pracross. I know I'm weak. I know I can't make a difference. But I have to keep acting like I can. For his sake."
He touched his face. Tears had been running down his cheeks since he began his confession. He grinned. "You know I can still win this, right? It's not over until I say it is. Of course, that doesn't mean I want to fight you. So I'm going to ask you one last time..."

[Round One - Jican]
Jican seemed to consider the wish, but the thoughts in his head lead to a negative answer. The saiyan refused, his pride taking up his choices. Pracross wanted to slap some sense into him, which considering the situation, he could've. Pracross' opponent seemed to be beyond that of just sad anymore. He was getting angry. Frustrated. Depressed.
And with that, it all came spilling out.
The events that happened that lead up to Jican's death. His voice always stern and angry, like a dad trying to get a child to understand something. The sarcasm over the heroes line, like Pracross was the stubborn child, refusing to give up his toy. It was disgusting. Pracross was becoming more infuriated than sad. Jican's constant push of wanting him to give up, even after giving him a solution for both if their problems.
Finally, Jican got sympathetic. He started to preach about his loss, how if he didn't do this, he could never forgive himself. Pracross scowled and looked down, his eyes hidden by his hair. “You're acting like you're the only one who has felt loss. The only one who's felt pain.” Pracross looked up from his desperate stare. His eyes were angry and unforgiving. He was tired of hearing all this “I'm so alone” crap. “Your Saiyan pride is hiding you from an easy solution. Earlier I was considering letting you win, but now I'm just annoyed. I'm not letting you or anyone else win this thing anymore.” The boy held up his orb and stared down Jican.
“I'm sorry you suffered death and back. I'm sorry you've lost someone close to you. But what you're doing is more selfish than anything. Are you even listening to yourself? You're treating me like a kid over your friend who died and now your chance is here so you're going to be a baby about it when you can't get that dream? I'm offering a wish that will make millions of people happy, including you, so why won't you just let me?”
Pracross did not smile back as his rival made a remark about how he didn't want to fight Pracross anymore, so he gave him one last chance. The teen sighed and looked at his orb as the stars started to appear in it.
[Cosmic Cannon - 133% - 133,000 - Charging]
OOC: Nice job changing your tech last second. You're still screwed.
Not only had Pracross denied Jican's final attempt at pacifism, but the Saiyan also mocked him for what he was fighting for. Selfish. That was the word that stung the most. What would he know about selfish? The Saiyan remained silent as Pracross went about his rant. Jican balled his hands into fists and looked up at the super sonic Saiyan. He was mad as hell. "...I get it. It's a real fight you want.", Jican said. He was eerily calm about it, despite being visibly angry. "Alright. I can do that.". The fluctuating aura around him dispersed. "Ok, Jican. Just like you practiced.", the Saiyan thought to himself.
The blue-haired Saiyan began to charge up. Quickly. Just like their previous fight, in a mere matter of moments a blazing blue aura had surrounded Jican. This was usually the maximum he could go. But he needed to go further. For Shibo's sake."For Shibo... for Shibo... for Shibo...", Jican kept telling himself. After a couple of seconds, sparks of lightning began to whizz around the Saiyan. The ground began to shake. "For Shibo... For Shibo....". His hair began to spike up, turning a dark, but glowing shade of aquamarine. His pupils vanished, leaving only the whiteness behind them visible. He let out a scream as his transformation completed. He was a False Super Saiyan. "Well? You wanted a battle."
Jican charged at Pracross with all of his might, confident in his skills. Was it a stupid plan? Yes. Did he care? No. He was going to get his friend back, no matter what. If Pracross made the decision to not launch his Cosmic Cannon when approached, the False Super Saiyan would punch him clean in the gut in an attempt to stun him. If the hit connected, he would grab Pracross by the face and push it into the ground.

[Round One - Jican]
Pracross’ final words brought Jican to silence. After saying those thing, Pracross felt a little bad. He let his anger overcome him, but he didn’t feel the need to care right now. Jican was closing in with a new sense of strange eeriness. His anger seemed to become visible and Pracross couldn't help but feel like something was about to go terribly wrong. He wanted to apologize so badly but… it was far too late for that.
Pracross was focused, he needed to use this attack if he were ever to be Jican. If all else failed then… Well, he could always try again and hope. The Saiyan licked his lips as the ball of energy turned into the shape of the galaxy, carrying infinite power behind it’s small power. This was his last hope against Jican. Pracross looked up from the ball to see Jican trying to… power up?
Suddenly, a new energy emerged from Jican, one that felt like pure rage. It was… terrifying. Had it not been for the Varga tech, Jican’s aura itself probably would have hurt Pracross, but the boy managed his own against its force. The Blue Haired Wonder was now taking up a sea green look as it seemed he was not yet fully a Super Saiyan, but he was almost there. Seeming someone transform so close to a form like this. It left Pracross in awe…
That was a mistake.
Jican launched for Pracross, punching him in the gut with heavy force before grabbing his skull and launching him into the ground. Pracross let out a muffled scream before grabbing Jican’s arm and slipping out to a new side of the ring, barely holding on to the ball of energy into his hand. “There you go! About time you start showing your will to fight.” Pracross reared his hand back, feeling some blood trickling from his forehead as he prepared to throw. “Now let’s test it.” Pracross launched the beam forward, a powerful glow emitting from it.
Yelled out the Saiyan, the energy so powerful that the starry, purple glow that it seemed to break hidden barriers, causing large purple rings to follow along the beam. If Jican made no effort to block or dodge, it’d most likely knock him out instantly, but Pracross knew that Jican had a plan.
Pracross looked over at Jican, eyes dark. “I’m hoping to doesn’t hurt our friendship” he muttered, feeling more than guilty as he looked at Jican. The boy stared, vision blurry from the force. It didn’t take him long to recover with a few blinks. Jican would most likely take the initiative if he got the chance, so he didn’t let him.
Pracross’ aura flared, appearing as purple flame and lightning as he started to become a blur. The boy seemed to be moving in a very violent fragment of time itself as his body was in a constant state of shaking. This state he called Speed Demon. It did not affect him at all in strength, but it would influence his speed to great heights, though after using it, he’d probably be very weak after a while. That only meant that this battle had to end soon.
And so it began… The Turquoise Super Saiyan versus The Super Sonic Saiyan.
After the stare down of the two, Pracross lunged forward, speed forcing his power forward into a wild barrage of endless kicks, punches, headbutts, elbows, knees, and jabs. It was insanity, but it was what he could muster, all with ease now.
This was no longer a fight between friends. This was something more.
Used [UT] Speed Manipulation to enter a state of hyper speed, increasing his speed drastically with a powerful and violent purple aura. This is purely for flavor and does not affect stats (especially in the tourney).
Pracross attacks Jican with extreme soeeds, attempting to KO him. KP 0/3
((OOC Note: Multi-post use of FSSJ allowed by Pracross.))
((BGM: still bit-smash))
The turquoise False Super Saiyan's attacks had been... half successful. True, he had managed to land the blow to the chest and the face slam, but Pracross still held onto that orb that he had been charging for quite some time now. After his onslaught, Jican's rival retreated to another part of the ring. He turned his head towards him. Pracross mentioned something about his will to fight. "SHUT UP!", the angry Saiyan replied. Jican charged at Pracross with all of his might yet again, screaming in anger.
That was nearly a lethal mistake.
Pracross yelled the name of his attack: the Cosmic Cannon as a huge purple energy wave was launched at the charging Jican. "YOU THINK THAT WILL STOP ME?!", the Saiyan yelled in rage. While flying, he put of the palms of his hands forward, the skin glowing a strange rainbow color. When the beam came in contact with Jican's hand, it engulfed the False Super Saiyan's entire body. Almost. Thanks to the Force Palm, Jican continued charging at Pracross, however the beam split around him as he pressed forward. From an outside perspective, it might have even looked like Jican had been carried away with the wave. But the turquoise-haired Super Saiyan wasn't going to be ended like that. While Pracross was still firing the blast, Jican would emerge from the Cosmic Cannon and appear from right in front of him. The Saiyan looked Pracross right in the eyes with an expression of rage. The False Super Saiyan would aim for a punch straight to the face...
And that's when the real fight began.
Jican's rival seemed to have unlocked a pseudo-transformation of his own. A "form" called the Speed Demon. As the Saiyan punched at Pracross, his enhanced speed would most likely let him dodge the attack. The False Super Saiyan grinned at Pracross right before he launched a barrage of high-speed strikes. Jican retaliated with attacks of his own. The two started to exchange blows, with Jican taking a couple hits and hoping to land a few on Pracross. If given the opportunity, Jican would try and land a heavy blow on Pracross's chest, sending him flying. His goal was to ring the Saiyan out, and although that punch wouldn't be strong enough to actually have 'Cross hit the walls, it would theoretically get him a lot closer.

[Round One - Jican]
Form: Speed Demon (x1)
The beam pierced it’s way through the skies as it was fired, forcing it’s way through layers of what knows what in the air. The beam was supposed to hurt Jican in any way, shape, or form but as the beam was soaring, a figure rushed through the large shape. A voice rang out from it. It was Jican’s, still full of anger. He came out for the blast, a hand glowing if rainbow light… A Star School move. A fist met Pracross face, causing the beam to lose it’s light and for the Saiyan to grab his cheek. The teen spit out some blood at the ground and rolled his jaw.
“Okay, 1, ow, 2, OW” And with this line, the boy jumped to another edge and took his form. He jumped at Jican with his new power, barraging the False Super Saiyan. To Pracross’ surprise, Jican fought back with his own barrage, finding slips in areas to hit the boy in purple. The two traded quite a few hits, revealing that even with the added bonuses, they were still even in strength. Out of the barrage, Jican reared a fist back and slugged at the other Saiyan, hitting him in the chest. It was obvious the force was supposed to send him flying, but the Saiyan stood his ground, or at least the amount that he could.
Pracross jumped back and looked around, examining, thinking… plotting. Jican was in a state of rage, so there had to be a weak point in him somewhere. Best to not wait and let him come to me... Thought the Super Sonic Saiyan, body still shaking violently. A flashback of his most recent fight with Gira came to mind. The fight between him in his newest state and her Super Saiyan form. She taught him that staying offensive was the best plan against a strong enemy… time to prove that.
Pracross took a deep breath and launched for Jican, fist at the ready. The fist was heavy and aimed at form Jican’s face. Whether the out come, the Saiyan would disappear, then reappear at a different location around Jican, then he’d do it again and again. In between these bursts of speed, he’d aim a kick or a punch at Jican. The goal was to keep him disoriented while dealing some damage.

Time was running out.
For several things actually. For starters, his round only had about three minutes left, and Jican wasn't completely sure if he could hold his False Super Saiyan transformation for much longer. He only had two options: Outlast Pracross's Speed Demon transformation, or somehow manage to end the fight before his rage ended. And he didn't think he could do the first one. After attempting to hit Pracross across the stage, the supersonic Saiyan managed to stand his ground. He then went on an onslaught, attacking Jican from random angles, only to disappear and re-appear at a different place and strike again. The blue-haired Saiyan was able to block a couple hits, but he took a majority of them.
"STOP THAT!", the Saiyan yelled. He would attempt to use a kiai wave around him, the aim being to push Pracross back far enough for him to get an opening. If given the opportunity to do so, Jican would attack by rapidly punching at Pracross's chest. The Saiyan knew he would try and block, but his intentions were to fly fowards while punching so that hopefully the supersonic Saiyan would be inching closer and closer towards the walls. Jican would end this onslaught by strafing around Pracross while he was halfway through one of his punches, and kick him in the back with the intent of catching him off guard.
