Helix’s foot step down on the edge of the ledge, and his step echoed out, bouncing down the massive cavern, deeper and deeper into the ravine. The whole slice in the surface of planet namek was less than five yards in diameter, but it seemed to go very very deep. Helix looked down at the dragon radar, turning to face Lusca, his companion and former guardian. “I believe it is somewhere in here—“ He said, lifting his palm into the air. The guru’s forehead began to glow, and then his eyes subsided to a pure pupilless white. In the cup of his hand, energy pooled into a silvery liquid, and then sprung into a distinct shape: a dove. The glowing dove leapt from Helix’s hand, spiraling around his head once before sailing down into the ravine, lighting up the crevice as it got deeper and deeper. Helix carefully braced himself at the edge, watching the animal of light until he finally spotted a glisten of orange. The dove splashed into a liquid light, pooling beneath the dragon ball and surrounding it in a glow. Controlling his magical energy manually now, Helix lifted the orb the long way out of the ravine and clasped his palms around it. A grin of disbelief was plastered across his face. “With the dragon ball that the demon is holding on to,” Helix whispered, turning to Lusca, “This is all seven.”The guru kept his glowing eyes for one more moment, just to cast off two telepathic messages. The first was to Grail Brisk “Greetings, companion,” his echoing voice would reach the demon’s mind. “I have gathered the rest of the artifacts. Would you prefer to come to me, or shall we come to you?”
He telepathically projected his location to the demon. The next was to his brother Lord Xylo “I assume you saw my creation of the dragon balls earlier—“ An expression of determination and stoic readiness crossed his face. “All that is taken care of now. We are summoning father momentarily. We are prepared for any and all are support in Namekian defense.” Helix stopped for a minute. Sure, he had sensed dangerous saiyan energy signatures on the planet, but he hadn’t felt any spikes in power, no tangible combat...

The woving thread of enhanced thought that the Guru spun out into the endless fields of Namek would reach its mark in short order, and a dark soul would turn its attention away from the task it had bent itself towards in order to give a short response. The thought would piggy-back upon the energies that Helix had extended, and the Namekian would hear a polite, ”I shall be there...momentarily.” before the link was forcibly severed, the shadowy mage shielding his mind.
True to his word Helix would be able to observe the Dragonball that Grail had in his possession would begin to move... rapidly. The shadowy mage was nearly on the other side of the planet from Helix, but his radar would act...strangely. The signal would seemingly sit in one spot for several moments only to suddenly jump hundreds of miles closer to Helix, then in the next moment moving out several dozen miles before coming to an apparent stop. The radars only showed an image in two dimensions, while Grail had decided to arrive by traveling in three. Deep below the rocks and crust of the planet were the darkened core of the planet, filled to the brim with nothing but magma and molten rock swirling in a vast fiery ocean. Yet still a source of shadow and darkness, a perfect medium for a Shadow mage to travel through, and so much shorter than attempting to travel around the surface of the planet. In short order the mage would appear to ooze up out of the earth nearby Helix, a stain of darkness welling up, filling the area with its presence.
Once enough of him had ascended above the edge of the earth Grail would shift out of his darkened form, returning to his normal appearance. Leaning on his stone staff Grail would address Helix once more, ”Will you now tell me the purpose of this ritual, Guru? My curiosity is certainly piqued.”

The feminine Namekian laid to rest the two Dragon Balls that she had managed to acquire whilst Helix collected the seventh from under the ground using his magic. Then a shadowy form began to form nearby, Lusca shifting into a combative stance before she recalled the Guru mentioning a demon with one of the Dragon Balls. She lowered her guard, but only slightly just in case of any treachery. The last time a non-Namekian had anything to do with the Dragon Balls here on Namek... it had not ended well for anyone. All she could do now was wait, watch and see what happens... as well as figure out her exact wording for her wish for the Great Dragon. The feminine Namekian didn't want there to be any confusion as to what it was that she desired, nor any loopholes that could be manipulated by anyone else present. She turned her focus back towards Helix and nodded slightly. "Let's do this and quick."

Helix watched as the demon oozed up from the earth, willing himself into appearance in front of the guru. Immediately, the demon wanted to know exactly what the purpose of the ritual was. Helix simply couldn’t fathom why the demon was so set on being involved.
“The ritual,” Helix began, “Is an old dragon caste custom.”
“By using all seven of the dragon balls, we can summon the eternal dragon, the god of this planet and my father.” Helix’s tone remained even, despite the doubts others would have him believe. It was not his place to decide. “He is a creature of great power, and can singlehandedly protect our planet from destruction.”
Helix pulled out each of his dragon balls, setting them down one by one. The glistening one star ball. Then, the still wet third star. Next came the slightly dirtied seven star. And finally, the five star dragon ball was nestled into the rough soil of the scar.
“If you would,” the prophet nodded, turning to each of his companions.
Helix's palms were sweaty. His mind was racing. If Xylo didn’t get back to him soon, he would simply have to work off of what he thought was best for the planet.

Grail listened silently as Helix went into a very... vague description of what the ritual was going to be. Summoning up a Dragon? Who was apparently also the Guru's father. Oh and also a god as well? Grail couldn't help but narrow his eyes in suspicion, thinking for a moment that Helix was simply mocking him. To his ears such information made absolutely no sense, being contradictory to itself. There were no gods, not truly, or if there was a god it was a singular being, untouchable and unbendable by any force. Incapable of being manipulated by anyone; they surely could not be “summoned” by any ritual, no matter its power. That was a god, a being of absolute power that would be worshiped on every world in the universe if it made itself known to them. The fact that the Konatsians did not have a Dragon god as their primary religious figure said that the god that Helix referred to was not a true deity.
Rather than get into what would no doubt be a heated discussion about the nature of divinity, Grail decided to focus on the single look that Helix had given him earlier. Why did Grail wish to even be here? ”You have the look of someone who does not understand the motive of another, Guru. My motive for desiring to be here is simple, as it would be one a Namekian would have I presume.
“I wish to gain knowledge. If this ritual is going to be such a momentous occasion as you describe, capable of defending a planet from an entire empire of warmongering Saiyans; there will be much to learn by being here.” Grail felt himself smiling almost against his will, although any malicious intent was not aimed at Helix or Lusca. For the idea of learning something to use against the Saiyans was truly a wonderful thought to the Mage. He had heard so much about the Saiyans, none of it good, it was as if the SSE had managed to gain near universal hatred from the entire galaxy full of sapients. They surely had to be...removed. Watching this ritual might very well see it done, or at least give Grail some clues as to how he might do it himself.
So when Helix asked for the orb that he possessed, which he had named a “Dragonball”, Grail obliged. His torso would turn dead-black once more, and his right hand would sink into his own chest, pulling forth the perfect orange orb from within, and when it was free of his chest Grail's hand would turn black next. Growing into an elongated black claw of pure darkness Grail would gently place the Four-Star ball that he had in its proper place among the others, tiny wisps of shadow evaporating in the sunlight as his hand returned to normal.
”Speaking of learning, would you be willing to teach me of your magics once the ritual is done? I think learning magic so attuned to light may help to lessen the negative effects of the shadow demon sealed within me, and might grant me the method to help pay back Rhytid as well.” Grail would posit this question once he had already returned to normal, his Dragonball already added to the others, his eyes turning away from the grouping to Helix.

Lusca narrowed her eyes towards the demon when he said what it was that he desired, albeit vaguely so. <I don't trust him Helix. He seeks knowledge or so he claims, but won't say what knowledge he desires, and so he collected one of the Dragon Balls purely out of curiosity? No, there's something else at work here.> the feminine Namekian telepathically communicated to the Guru even as she rested her two Dragon Balls, the two star and the five star, beside the others and thus completing the set. She stepped back a few steps, in preparation for Porunga's summoning, spreading her senses wide as she scanned for any power levels higher than her own. When this started, there would be no hiding what they were doing... No doubt the Saiyans will take notice and seek to interfere, among others. Helix Crust
