Pota's PL:27,931 Heavyweights Active Heavyweights PL:6,983
It was a bright day out on the outskirts of West Capitol and Pota was doing renovations on his hero hideout he had affectionately named the Monkey's Grove. It wasn't a extravagant hideout consisting of a small clearing with a tiny one room shack built from lumber and his newly acquired roofing supplies his employer Sora had let him use. As well as a crudely fenced off sparring circle. But what Pota liked the most was the small lake that was right outside his shack, where he could catch all the giant trout he could eat. It was all he could muster when he had landed on Earth for the first time which made him appreciate the Graves family for taking him in like they did. He stood up from his roofing work and smiled admiring his finished work. Now the rain would keep getting in his cozy little hut like it had up until now.
"Alright time for some training!" He said to himself as he hoped down and flew over to his sparring area. As he landed he jabbed at the air furiously jumped and spun around throwing as many kicks as he could deliver before allowing gravity to bring him to his feet again. After about fifteen minutes of activity similar to this he felt warmed up enough to start his usual training regimen. He walked over to his lake and grabbed a pebble throwing into the middle of it. "Hey old George wake up its training time maybe today's the day you catch m-!" Pota was abruptly cut off when a large 30 ft crocodile shot from the surface of the water snapping at him hungrily.
He had discovered who he called "Old George" while fishing one day. Up until now he was the strongest thing in the lake. But upon meeting him Pota taught him otherwise and he held a terrible grudge against him. Unlike the usual predator that made an attempt on Pota's life he couldn't bring himself to put down the over grown lizard. One might even say Pota thought of him as a pet if you're pet tried to kill you on a daily basis. Besides he was a way too convenient training partner for Pota when no one else was around. As Pota dodged old George's snap he laughed happily. "Damn big guy almost got me you're getting pretty strong aren't you!?"
The predator would let out a noise between a growl and a hiss before trying to use his giant tail to pummel the young Saiyan. However Pota didn't try to dodge this attack he blocked it with his right forearm and smirked at his scaly companion. "Come on old timer you gotta want it I know you got more in you than that!" This continued for about an hour before Pota's wrist watch timer went off signaling lunch time. At that point he simply blinked to the crocodile's flank and lifted him up by his midsection tossing him back into the lake calling after him as he flew. "Good job buddy see you after lunch!!" Pota then went and grabbed some dinosaur meat from his new freezer and started a campfire with all his favorite spices in place to season his steaks with.

Callion's PL: 65,630 Weighted PL(HW):16,407 Pota You're up Another rumble. The young Saiyan known as Callion let out another groan of agony. He stumbled, barely able to stay on his feet. His black boots awkwardly stomped forward, the red laces bouncing with each unsteady step. One of his scarred hands gripped his abdomen, as another rumble shook him to his core.
He trudged forward, his trusty black gym bag slung over his shoulder. Said bag looked empty save for a long solid shape protruding out from the unzipped opening.
Another rumble. This one brought Callion to one knee, his triangular spectacles falling to the hard cement sidewalk with a crack. The random pedestrians around Callion continued walking around the strange man.
Callion panted from fatigue, that last rumble having been particularly more devastating than the previous ones. Sweat covered his face, and his gelled hair bean to return to its naturally spiked state. Callion, his vision swimming a bit, reached out and grabbed his glasses. As he brought them closer he noticed the large spider web-like crack in the right lens.
“Damn,” the Saiyan breathlessly muttered, before another rumble caused him to shut his eyes and clench his abdomen once again. His black sleeveless gi and red undershirt would be wrinkled badly from all of the Saiyan's hard gripping, but that was hardly the worst of Callion’s concerns at the moment.
The Saiyan was starving, his money for food all but depleted. The situation that led to this filled Callion with such shame, but how could he have prevented it? The wrist-mounted power dampeners were certainly not helping his current mood. The sensation of them sucking the energy out of him was only magnified due to his mood.
The warrior rose to his feet, shakily and continued to walk along the sidewalks of the West Capitol, his stomach attempting to wrench itself from his body. He pocketed his glasses, having never needed them to see. After his time in that hell, Callion had fully come to terms with the fact that he was not very good at dealing with hunger, and was reduced to a pathetic mess once he missed one meal too many. However, another thing Callion had picked up on during his hellish ordeals was that he had a particularly good sense of smell, which right now was being teased with the scent of Callion’s favorite food. Meat.
Rational thought fled the normally logical young man. His pace hastened, he knocked against many of the other passersby. Ignoring their dirty or confused looks, the Saiyan continued to follow the smell of the meat. As he did, he noted more details about his quarry. It wasn’t cooked yet, but whatever was cooking said meat, was planning on using many spices, a habit Callion had observed during his time on Earth. The action of adding was meant to increase the flavor, a technique which Callion could agree with.
Callion’s nose led his legs outside of the city limits, and more toward the outskirts of the West Capitol. Eventually, he came across a small clearing, with what looked to be a small wooden hut. Next to that hut, was a fence built in a circle, and a lake right next to the hut. Callion spotted a man, sitting in front of a campfire. Before he could note any details about the man, he spotted the meat the man had just begun to cook, and all rational thought was gone. The Saiyan dropped his bag and was off like a predator leaping for his pray.
Letting out a wild man’s yell, Callion lunged for the meat!

As Pota was seasoning the meat to cook he lifted a slab of metal he used for cooking meat up in front of him to see if it was clean enough to cook on. As he did he nearly jumped out of his boots seeing what appeared to be a Saiyan behind him that looked oddly similar. His thoughts shot to Onio who just a couple of weeks ago had scarred his face above both his eyes. But not before kicking the crap out of him every way from Sunday after he had just faced down a Super Saiyan. That was a bad day to say the least. He was about to turn around and attempt again at a civil conversation with who he thought was his brother. But before he could the Saiyan lunged forward. Pota dropped into his fighting stance as the Saiyan closed the distance yelling like a mad man.
"Come to finish the job Onio you won't find me easy prey like last time now that I've regai-!" Three things caught his attention at that moment one was as he took a second and sensed his energy it wasn't his brothers. As a matter of fact it was completely unfamiliar. Two he looked like him and his twin brother yet he smelled different. And Three and certainly most important he was attacking the uncooked food. Under normal circumstances he would have protested to such bad behavior. But as a Saiyan himself he knew how they got when they hadn't eaten and this Saiyan looked like he hadn't eaten in awhile.
Pota chuckled at his own foolishness at mistaking him for his brother. Upon closer inspection there were subtle differences. Like his hair was very much like his only instead of shooting off to the side and curving down, his curved slightly upwards. Not only that but unlike his brother he was wearing gi not the SSE battle armor. He walked over to the stranger who was likely now wolfing down his first slab of uncooked dino steak, if not his second. "Hey there I know you're a Saiyan and all and eating uncooked food doesn't really bother us too much. But I can cook that for you I'll guarantee it will taste alot better and I also have this." Walked over to his cooking bag and pulled out some honeyed BBQ sauce. "My specialty is this Barbecue recipes."
He then smiled and held out his hand to shake his. "My name is Pota by the way I'm a Saiyan just like you." Whether he shook his hand or not Pota looked down and noticed two wrist bands. Which now that he noticed them could sense that they were sapping his energy. 'Who put those on him.' Thought Pota. 'More to the point who starved him this much? If he past through town out this way he should have past old man Sora's diner. Unless he flew out here and he seems to drained for even that. The old man wouldn't have let even a stranger starve in the street if he could help it. He must've been busy again.'

Once his scarred hands were on the meat, all sentient though had escaped him. He consumed the meat with a fervor, not unlike a wild animal. Once that was wolfed down, Callion’s regular personality reasserted itself, and the presence of the other man had become clear in full force. Callion instinctually suppressed his Power Level to one, avoiding the man’s gaze. The fellow seemed nice enough, and Callion couldn’t help but notice that they did look a bit alike, but Callion noted the warmth in the man’s eyes which his eyes were usually devoid of.
Onio. I wonder who that is. Regardless.
Callion listened as the man told him about BBQ sauce, and while the prospect of tastier food sent Callion’s heart singing with interest clearly showing on his face, said interest was quickly replaced with resigned shame.
As the man introduced himself, a certain phrase caused Callion’s eye to twitch.
‘I’m a Saiyan, just like you.’
‘Just like you.’
Just...like...you
Callion forced a smile onto an awkward and very strained smile on his face as he bowed his head low.
“A pleasure to meet you Mr. Pota, but I must correct you. I am in fact not a Saiyan, just a regular Earthling who skipped breakfast,” Callion lied, having missed his last six meals. His tail slightly moved in its position wrapped inside his custom-made red belt, said movement was practically unnoticeable.
“That being said, I must now be leaving, as I have greatly overstayed my welcome. Thank you very much for being so cordial given the circumstances, and I hope you have a nice day.”
With that being said, Callion turned around and began to walk away, when something stopped him. Memories flashing into his mind. His mother and father, dead at the hands of Kassava. Kassava’s mutilated body lying there, dead and burned due to his anger.
The young warrior placed a hand to his forehead, and shut his eyes in shame before his slow gait continued. Worry filled Callion’s face. What if these memories continued to plague him day in and day out? He was almost at the end of the clearing when he stopped. He turned around and looked back at the man called Pota and stared for a moment. Without a word, his eyes studied Pota, before he turned back around.
This could be my chance to find a new friend. Someone I could interact with. Someone to talk to and smile with.
Callion was accosted of all his lonely training and window washing here on Earth, and a cold feeling gripped his heart. Hazzerru, Ayumu, both nice men but they were gone without a trace. He just wanted a stable friend he could visit and talk to whenever he wanted, but luck just never seemed to be in his favor.
Perhaps I am destined to be alone for the rest of my life. Maybe that trip to that hellish place and Kassava were just signs that I’m always going to be alone.
Callion’s head hung low as he continued to walk out of the clearing, and back to his lonely life. He waved goodbye to Pota without turning around.

Pota couldn't help but laugh heartily at the stranger denying he was a Saiyan and the attempt to hide his tail. "Oh I'm sure you're not a Saiyan lots of Earthlings have monkey tails and eat food like its their last meal." Pota said jokingly. As the man thanked him and began to walk away Pota lifted his eyebrow at him. Something was off he put his hand up to his head like someone would do if they had a terrible headache. But as dense as Pota was he knew shame when he saw it and when he turned to look at him he saw it in his eyes even from this distance. He felt the same way when his brother gave him his scars above his eyes to match the one just below them. They were painful reminders of his mistakes. It was his actions that got him banished from Vegeta. The actions that left Onio to the cruel machinations of his father Tato.
"Wait up there look I know you didn't just skip breakfast even I don't get that hungry when I do that. And I would be a disgrace to my Masters (Referring to Gira and Sora) If I let a starving stranger walk off without at least cooking you some food." He smiled and put his hands behind his head as in a relaxed pose. "Besides let me see if I can get those things off you I imagine they're tiring you out pretty quick." He pointed at the the objects on his wrists. "Come on you're welcome to whatever I have here."
Pota would walk back over to the fire and set a log stump that he used for seats down next to his own. Comically pat on it in a gesture for him to sit down and relax. Whether he sat down or not Pota would then place the metal slab he had picked up before above the fire and put down about double what he would have made for himself. That being around two dozen steaks after seasoning the other dozen he hadn't originally anticipated for. Pota liked to cook for himself but he found a certain fondness in cooking for others especially those in need. Something he had picked up from Sora. One would even call it a certain code that cooks like him lived by. So he was hoping the stranger would accept his invitation and stay for awhile. The young warrior froze. This man had invited him to sit down with him and have a meal. He hadn’t received an offer like that in a long time. No matter how ashamed he was, it would be quite rude to reject an invitation from someone he had wronged.
Never turn down a free meal, kid!
The voice of his father in his mind calmed the young warrior’s nerves oddly enough. He was used to hearing that voice whenever he was dealing with matters of a more physical nature such as training or during combat. Though as Callion pondered more, he realized that his father did say that often to him whenever Callion declined a meal while they were out and about.
Callion turned around, and made his way to the campfire, picking up his black gym bag and slinging it over his shoulder. He reached the campfire and took a seat next to the man, placing his gym bag on the ground next to him. His new companion was certainly more laid back than most of the Saiyans he had ever met, but caution was never something to be lessened when dealing with Saiyans of any kind.
As the man named Pota referenced his wrist-mounted power dampeners, Callion tried to be reassuring. “I assure you, Mr. Pota that these were not the cause of any discomfort I was or will be experiencing.” In truth, Callion was actually getting more and more used to having the dampeners on with each passing day.
Once Callion had stared at the meat cook for a bit, he thought back to a few moments ago when the man had dismissed his claim to not be a Saiyan. Ignoring the small amount of embarrassment he had felt, he swallowed and thought about what he was going to say next. Eventually, he spoke in his usual measured and kind of monotone voice.
“Just for the record, I was not lying earlier about not being a Saiyan. Surely, you have met some other Earthlings who have animal-like traits. I am one such Earthling,” Callion explained, his tail twitching again at the lie.
The young warrior often wondered why he even bothered trying to hide things from people. He was a terrible liar and while his disguise certainly hid the more obvious aspects of his heritage, it wasn’t without fail. The twitch of his tail had given him away, though Callion still had plausible deniability.
The weak lie was easily seen through, but it put Callion a bit more at ease. And an awkward silence from Callion would follow that comment, the young warrior tapping his knees for the sake of occupying his hands.

Pota looked over at Callion once again denying he was a Saiyan. With the typical Saiyan with their usual stubborn pride one might scold this man for such denial. But Pota wasn't the typical Saiyan he understood what it was to be ashamed of the things his race had done. He was once again all too familiar with the look on Callion's face seeing it on himself more than a couple of hundred times staring back at him. It was like looking into a mirror that showed you the past. So he did what he always did when presented with a situation like this. He smiled and gave another chuckle.
"Please Pota is just fine and very well I understand not wanting to identify with our race. The Saiyans as a whole has done very little to merit admiration from the universe even from members of their own race." He said flipping a steak making it sizzle as juices ran from underneath it and a pleasant smell filling the air around them. "Believe it or not I was there at one point too in fact I still am a little bit...Especially due to recent events." The thought of his Father and Brother made his fresh scars throb. But he was soon brought back by the need to continue his cooking. He sprinkled a little BBQ sauce on the steaks letting it mix with the spices as the meat cooked.
"Truth be told we're a cruel people. We've committed countless genocides. Enslaved many races. Brought on wars that have done nothing but increase our own selfish gains." His thoughts went back to a "Special Field Trip" his academy class had taken back when he was still part of the SSE. Where they had the so called honor of watching their "Proud Seniors" slaughter a settlement of some alien race they had recently enslaved that year. Only to be made worse afterwards as they left Pota had the displeasure of accidentally locking eyes with a child crying over his assumed parent's dead bodies. He never would forget that look, a look of such pure hate, such rage that even a the legendary rage of a Super Saiyan paled in comparison. But Pota didn't want forget that look it reminded him of what not to become.
While he spoke his hand clenched around his spatula bending it under the pressure of his grip ever so slightly. "The Saiyans have a lot to atone for..." He continued with his cooking. "However its because we are cruel I don't hate being a Saiyan. Before you think me cruel hear me out. I hope one day to return to Vegeta and help my people realize that a love for fighting doesn't justify cruelty." The young Saiyan would look up at the stars as if looking at his planet. "I want to show them that here on Earth there are people who use that motivation to protect those who are weak. People like Master Gira and The Great Captain Nova." He smiled at Callion once again handing him some finished steaks. "We are strong because we are Saiyan and its not a sin to have pride in that. But I want to show the Saiyan people they can be heroes instead of conquerors."

Callion watched the man laugh at his lie, and for the first time in a long time, anger started to boil in his heart. As the man droned on about how “we” did this and “our race” did that, Callion’s mood did not change only getting worse. Once the man had finished his speech about wanting to change the way the Saiyans lived and treated others, Callion choked down his anger, putting up a wall of calm and apathy.
“That was very inspiring and I wish you the best with your dream, though I feel the need to repeat myself again. I am not a Saiyan,” Callion said, in a measured down adding a bit of edge to the word not. “I am not in any state of mind that would make me feel this way. It is just how I feel, and have always felt. I am not a Saiyan, I am an Earthling. My home planet is Earth, this tail is the byproduct of weird evolutionary paths, and I have never even been to another planet let alone lived on one. I was born in the Frozen North, my father was named Caladin, and my mother was named Cathra.”
Callion sighed after all of that talking, suddenly a lot less hungry. His tail hadn’t waggled once during that entire speech, which was a surprise to the young warrior since none of what he said was true.
Callion folded his hands together and ignored the steaks offered to him. Shutting his eyes tightly, he hung his head, not in shame but in exasperation.
I am not a Saiyan. I am not a Saiyan. I am not…
Callion’s eyes opened, and he stood up, grabbing his gym bag and slinging it over his shoulder.
Looking to Pota, his gaze was emotionless, and the words he spoke were devoid of any feeling.
“Thank you very much for cooking for me Mr. Pota, but I must be going now. I have...work,” Callion said, his tail twitching this time. “Have a nice day.”
With that, Callion began to walk out of the clearing again. With each step, he walked further and further away from the ugly truth of his life. Further away from the shame of what his people had done, and the fact that no matter where he went or who he spoke to, he would always be seen as a Saiyan. Further away from the sad fact that no matter how much hair gel, or suppressed energy or poor lies he used, he could never mask what he was.
The most disgusting fact was that the pride within him refused to give up his delusion if only to make what might have been a kind and caring friend in Pota. Shame filled Callion’s heart, but that accursed pride in him forced him to keep walking. But something inside of Callion caused him to stop mid gait a few feet from the edge of the clearing. He was in mental turmoil. His refusal to admit he was a Saiyan was proving just how much like a Saiyan he was. The paradox tore at Callion’s heart and mind.
I am not a Saiyan. I am not a Saiyan. I am not…
He is not accusing you of anything. Just apologize to him chat with a kindred spirit.
I am nothing like him, he is a Saiyan!
And so are you, except he is not being rude about it. He is trying to comfort you to make you more relaxed. That way he can actually have a conversation with you.
I have to be cautious. What if this is all an act to get me to lower my guard?
So what? You have escaped near death situations before and can do it again. And even if this were, he would have attacked you while you were hungry earlier.
This emotional and mental turmoil caused Callion, who was still stuck in place to put another hand on his forehead.

At Callion's reply Pota frowned and couldn't help but feel he had offended the man. 'Good going Pota you've gone and pushed too hard and now you've pissed him off so bad even a hungry Saiyan won't accept you're food.' Pota scolded himself as he sadly put the plate of steaks back down and turned his head towards Callion. "I..I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you I just-!" He would have finished his apology but what he saw at that moment made him freeze in place. He'd been so wrapped up in the situation he hadn't noticed that old George had sneaked back up to his clearing via the lakeside and was right on top of the man while seemingly he too was distracted. Pota had no time he had to act fast old George may have just been a over grown reptile but he could snap a man's arm off as easily as the next if he caught them off guard.
Pota flashed towards the space in between Callion and old George just as the croc's jaws snapped shut catching Pota in them. As blood gushed out of his leg and upper torso which had been caught in the creature's mouth Pota cried out in pain. "Bad George we do NOT! EAT! PEOPLE!" With each word Pota would strike George in his snout. Usually this would work but as it would happen George had no luck with lunch like Pota had and hadn't eaten today. So, very much like Callion reason had gone out the window for this creature as he bit down harder on what was unfortunately Pota's Femoral artery making him bleed profusely. Thankfully he was a Saiyan or else he would have a matter of seconds to live but being resilient as he was he held on.
Feeling his strength fade fast though he had no choice. "D-Damnit George! Nova Burst!!" Pota slapped his hand together as green fiery ki formed between his palms. Keeping his fingers locked he thrust his palms forward right into George's face sending a explosion of green flame into the air as the croc roared in pain and retreated leaving Pota lying on the ground with blood pouring out of his leg and torso like a red river. Yet with all of this he uttered a few words in question to Callion. "A-Are You a-alright?"

Callion felt like a fool. His mental turmoil over whether or not to be cautious had cost him the very guard he had been trying to keep up. He failed to notice the much larger beast attempting to sneak up on him, and by the time the beast was about to strike, this man, this wonderfully honest and kind man named Pota had already leaped in the old crocodile’s way. As the man went down, Callion’s eyes widened in horror. He was paralyzed in fear, as the crocodile and Pota struggled, bleeding oozing from the Saiyan.
Memories flooded Callion’s mind. Dark caves, massive beasts, maroon skies, all of this culminating in a frozen mess of a man named Callion. The memories shook him to his very core, causing visible shaking.
Oh no. Oh no. No no no. Please do not make me go back, I do not wan-
A burst of green energy snapped Callion out of his horrid stupor, and he watched as the beast slinked back into the lake. Callion stared down at the horrid bloodied man. He was still paralyzed with fear and indecision. Should he call for help, perhaps this man had a phone number inside of the house he could u-
“A-Are You a-alright?” The man asked, freezing Callion in place. The young warrior’s eyes widened in shock before his face took on a neutral and apathetic stare. He kneeled down next to the man, pulling his black gi top off.
“Don’t move,” he said, tearing the gi top into bits and pieces, while placing his hand on the torso wound, applying pressure to slow the bleeding. A casual observer would note the massive tear along the side of Callion’s stomach, though he didn’t seem to mind. With a riiiip, Callion tore his gi top into a long strip of black cloth, balling it up, before reaching into his bag and pulling out a small bottle.
“This is going to hurt,” Callion said in a monotone voice as he effortlessly flicked the cap off of the bottle and poured a brown liquid onto Pota’s torso wound, bring his hand down so that the liquid also coated the Saiyan’s leg wound. The liquid burned intensely as it bubbled against the wounds.
Expecting a question regarding the liquid, Callion didn’t wait to explain its nature. “It helps speed up the process your body goes through to create blood clots to stop bleeding. It is not automatic and it burns quite intensely but this should help stop the bleeding.”
Callion then ripped his gi top in half even further, creating two medium length stripes of black cloth, which he quickly tied tightly around Pota’s torso and leg wounds.
“Don’t move,” Callion repeated, reaching further into his bag and pulling out a bottle of clear liquid.
“Drink this and let me help you stand up please, Mr. Pota,” Callion said, handing the bottle to the man, before looping the man’s arm around his neck, and attempting to help him limp back toward his shed.

Pota winced and bit down on his hand to keep from yelling aloud causing his hand to bleed. Which was minuscule compared to the amount of blood he had already lost besides he could bandage it later. As the brown liquid washed over his wounds with an intense burn he was instructed to drink some of the clear liquid his new guest had. He did so gladly, as he felt the pain subside he coughed a little from the strain of his ordeal. The man at that moment tore his gi and started using it as a bandage for his wounds. He then noticed something that shocked him a large scar down the man's chest. Pota stared at it for a moment and realized that he was being rude by doing so.
'I'm not the only one with scars it seems.' Thought Pota in the literal and physical sense Pota sat up with more than a little strain. "I'm sorry for offending you. I can get carried away with my opinion sometimes and it doesn't help that my social etiquette is as rough as sandpaper." Pota hung his head low ashamed that he was so inconsiderate of the man's feelings toward his race. "I shouldn't have insisted on calling you a Saiyan, Especially since I know what its like not wanting to identify with our-!" Pota caught his mistake. "My race..."
" And thank you for healing me...uh...um this is awkward." The young Saiyan said as he scratched the back of his head nervously still waiting to see if the man was still upset at him. "I don't even know you're name."

Pota would realize very quickly that the clear liquid was simply fresh water. If Pota looked at Callion’s hands at all he’d notice burned scar tissue all across his hands and forearms.
Once Pota was draped over his shoulder, Callion slowly made his way toward his shed, listening politely to the man’s honest apology. The young warrior’s heart softened as he realized just how kind the man he had encountered truly was. Putting aside his shame, Callion decided to be honest with this man. It would be the first time in a long time that Callion would feel as close a connection with someone else.
Once the man corrected himself, a warm smile filled Callion’s face. With a noticeably happier inflection, he said, “It is fine, Mr. Pota. I should not have been so upset with you either. I never noticed how much I hated associating with the rest of Saiyan, but you have taught me that they are definitely not all bad. While I know that I am being delusional by denying what I was born to be, it brings a certain comfort to know that I do not have to identify with the rest of…” Callion paused, sounding like he was struggling to speak the next word, “our kind. This delusion lets me believe that I can move forward and forge my own future, free of the opinions that others have for Saiyankind. It lets me think that I, that Callion is more than just some Saiyan.”
Callion opened the door to the shed, and made a beeline for Pota’s bed, lifting the man up and placing him in his own bed.
“Do you feel any better?” Callion asked, concern in his eyes. “If you require anything, tell me now.”

Pota smiled weakly at the man accepting his apology before putting him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes (Hurray for puns!). He couldn't see the man' s face but he imagined he was smiling if only a little bit. "Well I'm glad that I could help Callion. And you are more than just a Saiyan most Saiyans would have left me to bleed out just now. Probably would have called my sacrifice a tactically stupid decision." Pota grunted as he was put on his bed. "But you didn't you helped and you probably saved my life as well." Pota would smile bashfully as Callion asked if he needed anything else. "No I'm fine thank you but feel free to stay."
"Yes feel free to stay we'd hate for you to miss a touching family reunion, Callion son of Blade Master Scourge." Replied an all to familiar voice behind Callion in the door way of Pota's shack. When Pota heard it a mixture of fear, hate, and anger swelled in his heart. As he looked at the figures standing in the door way he noticed one immediately as his twin brother Onio. But the other he was all too displeased to see. There in the door stood his tormentor, the very source of all pain the young Saiyan had experienced in his life. The man responsible for his banishment from Vegeta. His own father Tato. "Hello SON." Said Tato in a condescending growl as a wolfish smile spread across his face behind his goatee.
Pota laid there frozen in fear but once the fear had subsided it was replaced with pure rage. Rage he couldn't contain as much as didn't want to show his Saiyan nature in front of his friend he simply couldn't contain himself. Pota let out a ferocious roar as his green fiery ki exploded in the enclosed shack causing the whole thing to explode to piece leaving just a cracked foundation. In the process of doing this his wounds would reopen but do to the heat of his ki would soon cauterize. Despite the pain Pota would jump up and throw a powerful punch towards his father's face. However he would simply reach up with closed eyes, a devilish smile and a relaxed posture and grab his son by his throat.
"BASTARD!! YOU SON OF A BITCH!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BROTHER!!"
Tato simply smiled his usual cruel smile and look his son in the eyes. "You're brother unlike you embraced what it meant to be a Saiyan. He's a warrior now." He chuckled evilly. "And as much as I would like to stay and swat that rebellious attitude you too I only wanted to say hi and let you know of your impending death as well as everyone you know and love." Pota growled and choked as his father punched him in the gut knocking him unconscious. "Come Onio we have preparations to attend to." Tato ordered as they began to walk away

Callion smiled in reply at his new friend’s kind words, before a new voice caused him to jump in surprise. Turning his head quickly, he saw two men framed in the entryway of the shack. One, an older looking Pota but with more cruel glee in the eyes. Shifting his gaze to the other man and piecing the situation together, Callion saw how Pota had mistaken him for his brother earlier.
The look on the older man’s face sent a shiver down Callion’s spine. It was the same look Kassava had right before he and Callion engaged in combat.
Before he could even say anything, Callion was thrown backward as an explosion of green energy burst from where Pota lay. While leaving him uninjured, the blast disoriented the young warrior, causing his vision to drift in and out of focus.
“Mr...Pota?” Callion croaked his voice sounding hoarse from the sudden disorientation. As Callion’s focus realigned, he was greeted by the sight of Pota being held by his throat while his father assured him that everyone he loved would be killed with due time. Callion’s heart skipped a beat as Pota’s father dealt a crucial blow to his son’s stomach, knocking Callion’s new friend out cold.
While the father and son began to walk away, Callion slowly rose to his hands and knees, crawling over to his new friend. He looked over the man and thanked some higher power that he wasn’t too badly damaged by the blow.
“Mr. Pota, are you alright?” the young warrior asked, placing his right hand on his friend's back and jostling him lightly. “Please say something… I understand you’re shocked and hurt but I need to be certain you haven’t suffered too much abdominal trauma.”
His voice was pleading, as he stared at the retreating figures of Pota’s family.
“Mr. Pota,” Callion began getting much quieter so his new friend’s relatives couldn’t hear, “I have to say, with a father like that, it is far more impressive for you to be such a kind and caring person. You have such a noble dream, and if you are listening…” Callion took a deep breath before carrying on. “I will do everything I can to help you achieve that goal. I pledge myself to your cause, as your friend and ally.”
Callion glanced at the two men’s retreating figures. He could have attacked them for what the father had done. But that wouldn’t have solved anything. If anything he’d have been taking away from Pota’s development. His father was his own problem, and all Callion could do was give his new friend, the strength to march on.
“I will always have your back,” Callion continued, “so long as your goal remains true. I do not care how long it takes. You will achieve your dream, and I will be right beside you when you do. We are now friends from here until we both die or until you grow tired of me, which given my personality is a lot more likely to happen sooner rather than later.”
Callion smiled and began to chuckle to himself quietly.

Pota opened his eyes having heard Callion's declaration. 'no...' Whispered a voice in his head at first softly. 'No...' Again the thought came louder. 'No!' As it boomed in his head Pota stood now revitalized by his new friend's loyalty. "NO! I'M DONE BEING AFRAID OF YOU!! I'M DONE WITH PUTTING UP WITH YOUR SHIT!! I'M DONE WITH YOU STOMPING ON MY DREAMS LIKE THEY ARE SOME KIND OF BUG TO BE CRUSHED UNDER FOOT!! AND MOST OF ALL I'M DONE WITH YOU THREATENING EVERYTHING I LOVE WITH IMPUNITY!!" Pota roared as he he charged another Nova Burst and shot it toward his father.
Just before it made contact his brother Onio would jump in the way and smack it aside. Staring down his older brother (by a few seconds) he would point at him. "If that the way it gonna be brother I'm your opponent." Pota closed his eyes and let out a remorseful sigh. He had hoped not to have to fight his brother. But it seemed that he would have to. He wouldn't kill his brother of course but he certainly would put up more of a fight than last time. After all he had fought a Super Saiyan last time and was drastically weaker when his brother had accosted him. Now he was gonna have to do his brotherly duty and kick his misbehaving ass as any brother would do when their sibling had crossed the line.
"Fine Onio lets take it somewhere else though I want to have a PRIVATE conversation with you. Unless our..."Loving Father has any qualms with that?" He would ask sarcastically as he glared down Tato. His father would chuckle and raise his hands in a supposed surrender.
"By all means go ahead." He said shifting his attention towards Callion and lifting a hand gesturing in his direction. "After all I would like to know how you came to know the son of the great sword master "Scourge". That should keep me entertained." Tato would chuckle deviously as he gave Callion a cruel smile like a lion staring down it's soon to be prey. "Now go have fun you two." He would say condescendingly.
"Careful Callion." Pota would warn. "My Father with all his "Charm" is a master at getting under one's skin. He'll inevitably try to goad you into a fight." Pota looked at his brother and regretted the fact he would have to actually cause him anymore pain. Before leaving he would turn to Callion again. "And Callion...Thank you for believing in me. Its more than I deserve but it's appreciated none the less." Whether Callion would respond or not Pota would turn and fly off with his brother.
Tato would sigh and look at Callion. "So then...Let's talk about your father." And give him a devilish smile.
