The hum of the gravity chamber drew Ninjin’s eye toward the sealed chamber as she was walking by it. Walking toward the door she would notice the range of the chamber was set on the pad that she could grab on the outside. Pressing a few buttons, the exercise would settle down as the timer had just ended. Reaching for the door handle she would walk in and smile toward her friend. “Doing more training I see. We are still equal my friend. It seems that nothing really changes that between us. And yet I always feel that we both need to continue to work. As I can assume we both feel those clashes far off inside of the distance of the universe. So many strong forces inside of a single place are hard to ignore.”
“That is true and that is why I am still here training. As you have been. As Toma has continued to do. We all expect something to happen and we all expect a peace to never last…” Wiping the sweat from her brow Amalia would nod at Ninjin as she spoke and she stood better than she had during the last back and forth sparring session that she had had with Ninjin. Taking a few breaths Ninjin would smile at her at the same time as she went to gather a few things so that she could begin her own training regimen. Amalia would not leave the chamber however. Watching her friend gather up a few things she would assist her in this.
Pressing the scattered implements back into their places the pair would close the drawers and would glance over at one another. Smirks crossing both of their faces as Ninjin would begin to unbutton her gi top. Tossing it off to the side she would look at her friend who was wearing just the sports bra. “No weights and no holding back? Like normal there Amalia? Once more we shall wail against one another and fight till neither of us can stand?”
Nodding her friend would set aside the weighted wrists that she used. Rotating her neck a few pops would be heard as she began to stretch out as Ninjin would do the same. All of their movements once more pushing toward getting themselves ready for their spar. Inhaling and exhaling a long drawn out breath Ninjin would smile and nod toward her friend as she turned toward the computer terminal. “Computer. Forty times Earth gravity. Timer set to one hour. Begin upon the usual signal for the spar.”
With a few beeps, the computer would process and acknowledge Ninjin’s spoken words. Sliding her feet into a stance of her own making Amalia would follow suit but into the traditional Turtle Stance. Time seemed to hang between them as they both closed their eyes and after a beep from the computer Ninjin drove forward and the gravity within the chamber picked up. Instantly feeling the drag upon herself at the higher weighted gravity than she had done before. Swinging her leg toward Amalia she aimed the kick at her legs which the human jumped with ease by short hopping the sweep attempt. In retaliation Amalia connected to Ninjin’s chest with a short dropkick.
Sliding back across the floor Ninjin would plant a hand on the tiled floor and flip backward and land with her booted foot on the wall. With a burst of speed and power she drove forward once more going on the offensive toward Amalia. Raising her hand up Amalia angled assuming where Ninjin would be coming at her from. Deflecting the blow with a side arm was her plan but in the final moment as she felt the electricity from Ninjin’s body nearly touch her moving arm she felt Ninjin twist and swing a second strike in at her side. Catching her beneath a rib she felt her body lift off the ground a little from the blow. With a slight cough Amalia would be open for Ninjin to push a spinning elbow strike into her sternum. Moving with the fluid mastery that one who was a master of her martial arts would have Ninjin would land a third strike an open palmed strike into the middle of Amalia’s stomach. This third strike would send her flying toward the nearby wall. She impacting it just as Ninjin had the other wall a short moment earlier.
Springing off the wall toward a slowly swaying Ninjin Amalia would drive a kick directly at the hybrid. Ninjin however was moving in bursts of speed that surprised Amalia. Dodging the kick, she was instantly upon her friend driving an elbow into her lower back and spinning to catch her stumbling form with a knee to the stomach. Yet Amalia was ready for the knee as she sprung herself up into the air. Spinning she fired off a blast of ki toward Ninjin. Raising her arms, the impact would send her flying once again. Impacting the wall actually made her cough and knocked the wind out of her. Amalia would take the opportunity and slam into her friend with a double knee strike. Ninjin would pitch forward as she felt her hair get grabbed and she would be tossed down into the ground.
Coughing once more she would manage to avoid a downward superman punch from Amalia. Kicking the ground she would burst a ball of ki from her heel and it would make her spin and land a kick upon Amalia’s back. Causing her to slam into the ground. With a swift kick she impacted it and slammed into her side and causing her to cry out in pain. The kick drove Ninjin back away and she would find herself about ten feet away from her friend as they both got to their feet. Chuckling to herself Ninjin would swing her arms around and lower herself back into her stance. “Cmon Amalia. You cannot be ready to call it quits already?”
