The three suns of Namek had grown further apart now, spread almost in a triangular formation across the skies as the day hit close to noon. Barely a shadow could be cast by the terrain what with so much direct light beaming down onto the lands below. It was any wonder if this planet had any semblance of a night and day cycle—and even more a wonder how the people here could sleep in such conditions, if they ever actually did sleep.
"Namekians always reminded me of slugs," muttered Gaivahros to himself as he sat on the darkened grass, looking down from a top of a cliff down at a nearby village, his eyes catching glimpses of these aliens tending to their crops entirely of lettuce and cabbages, "but they even eat like them too. Such a strange race…"
The Heran reached into his pocket for his TouchPod and took it out, holding it close to his lap as he began to tap and swipe across its screen. After a moment he held it up in front of his face, watching the village through the device. The man had recently installed a camera into it with spare parts from the ship, and was looking to try it out. Like a tourist visiting an exotic place, Gaivahros began to take a few pictures with each tap on the screen. Each photo was as clear as through his own eyes.
"So weird," he couldn't help but mumble to himself. Looking at the various buildings and scenery, it was as though the entire village was just a small farming plot. All of the houses were small, only sizeable enough to house a small family. It wasn't like anything he had seen before, and it made him wonder how such people could live in such a way with no shops, businesses, or the like. But at the same time, it humbled him that beings could live in such a basic, almost archaic fashion.
With a sigh the Heran reclined backwards until he was flat on his back, his arms spread outwards and the lower half of his legs dangling over the cliff edge. Staring at the soft, green sky and wispy clouds, he couldn't help but chuckle. "I wonder if I could live like a farmer…?" He paused for a moment, contemplating the lifestyle. It didn't take long for him to discard the notion and snicker. "Yeah, that ain't happening…"

The young woman sat in the shade of the small cover, lying with her back against the small building. She’d finally taken off her helmet, revealing her brown hair and unique appearance to the Namekians she was staying with. Most had easily accepted her simple tale that she was a human; she didn’t have the normal pale skin of the Saiyans, coupled with their black, spikey hair. The hybrid took a sip of the cup of green water they’d given her; it had a unique taste, quite unlike the water from Earth or Woatera. The woman set the glass to one side, leaning forward as the older Namekian finished looking over the crops. “Is it a good harvest, old man?” “They still have a good while before the crops’ll be ready for harvesting. I’m more interested in our blue guest sitting on the cliff overlooking the village. Whether he is good or evil, only time will tell.” The old Namekian sat down next to the woman, taking the glass of water she held out to him. He started drinking, as the woman’s gaze glanced towards where the man had indicated. She didn’t have a clear view from her vantage point, due to the sheet blocking out the suns of Namek. Now that the Namekian had mentioned it, the woman could sense the slight power a few miles away. “I’ll go check it out.” The woman rose to her feet, before darting out into the open. It only took a moment for the woman to find the figure. Igniting her aura nd shifting her weight forward, the woman moved with all of her speed to land behind the figure. Upon closer inspection, it appeared the young man shared some genetics with her dear friend Gekido. How much was the question, though. Sliding to a stop only ten feet behind the man, the woman let her aura return to normal. She turned towards the blue man and spoke firmly. “The name’s Tulip! Guest of the village you’re snooping on; what’s your business here?”

The gentle breeze bustled against the Heran's bangs as he gazed up into the clouds, watching as they drifted across the pale green sky. His eyes shifted as he gazed at the thin strands and large puffs they shaped, humming as he focused on one of them. "That one looks like a sitting Direfang," he uttered to himself, with only his imagination to comfort him. "That one looks like… a boat. And… that one… looks like… a cloud, I guess."
A moment went by before he brought his right hand close to him, still holding onto the TouchPod. He pointed it at the sky, gazing through the camera lens from the screen, and began to snap pictures of the skies above. They would go nice in the photo album, he thought to himself, as he continued to press his thumb against the screen.
His hand lowered and his eyes shifted from the scenery, his attention caught by something flying overhead. For a moment he ignored it, though the brief thought of snapping a picture of it did make itself conscious for a short moment. But it had caught his interest when it doubled back, landing only a few meters behind him.
The Heran was surprised to see another outsider besides him on this planet. Must be a pretty popular vacation spot, he mused in his own mind. A female figure, with dark skin and darker hair. She had a light pink jacket and white undershirt. Black pants and light brown boots donned her lower half. But his eyes glared back into her own, his muscles tensed a little. She looked an awful lot like a Saiyan, and after hearing of their plan to invade, Gaivahros kept caution around her.
Although what made him more declining to her presence was her attitude. His eyes narrowed at her as he looked from his prone position, head reclined. "Is this how you usually talk to tourists… Saiyan?" he snapped, his tone one of subtle curiosity and snide, and yet his expression made his words potent with venom. His hand quickly raised up, and took a picture of the girl before he brought it back to his face. "Ah, crap, it's upside down. Just gotta… rotate it one-eighty…"

The young woman stared at the Heran, who didn’t bother standing when spoken to. She tried to smile, waiting for his response. He finally spoke, voice full of venom. The woman tried not to react with anger, even when the man snapped a picture of her. Rude… He spoke again, fiddling with his camera. The woman thrust one hand down, sending a blade the size of a small house into the earth next to her. An explosion rocked the top of the cliff, as a huge cloud of dust billowed up from the impact. The young woman set one hand against the huge edge of the blade, before grinning at the man. “I’m not exactly a Saiyan; I don’t really claim it as my heritage. I’m a visitor from Earth. Why you taking pictures of the goods without asking permission?” Crossing her arms under her slight chest, the woman leaned against the huge sword and smiled at the Heran lying on the ground. The dust was starting to clear, but the underlying threat was evident. I’m packing way more heat than you, buddy.

Seemed the girl was one to be angered easily. Probably from her Saiyan side.
Gaivahros jolted and leaned forward as the loud crash of rock thundered from behind him. He let out a yelp as the ground beneath him cracked and crumbled. His vision was lightly veiled by dust as the clouds rolled around his sides and curved around his front. He shook his head with a sharp sigh. Pocketing his device, he pushed himself back onto his feet, hands patting down his pant legs and rear of dust and loose grass.
"I didn't realise tourists needed permission to take pictures," he responded In a snarky and sarcastic manner. He turned to face the girl, but his eyes were focused on the large sword she now leaned against. It was almost comical to see a small person against something thrice her own height—overcompensating for something, so he thought to himself.
He gave a shrug and a light chuckle. "I've no idea who or what humans are," spoke the Heran, with his focus now on the girl, "but I can definitely see your Saiyan side showing. I guess we're similar in that regard." His hands rested on his hips, and his head leaned to one side before turning from side to side. "You know, I don't think your Namekian hosts would appreciate you landscaping—" his eyes narrowed as he grinned wryly from under his shroud "—without their permission." He was sure to annunciate those last three words profusely, just to get the point of mirroring her own words.
Before she could respond, he continued as he turned to look down upon the village over the cliff edge, "And what do you mean by "goods", exactly? This some sort of top-secret farming facility? It's not very out-of-the-way if it is…"
He turned back to face her, and folded his arms across his chest. "In any case, put your toys away. I've no interest in fighting you today."

The short woman waited in silence, as the tall Heran finally stood up. He dusted himself off, before turning to face her. His retort was simple, which the woman returned in response. “Taking pictures of others without permission is rude. You’re being rude.” Pushing away from the blade, the woman noticed the man shrug and chuckle softly. His next comment didn’t make sense; anyone who didn’t know of the existence of Humans had to be from some extremely backwards place. His next comment confirmed her other suspicion; this man was part Saiyajin, which explained his leaner build despite being Heran. He glanced towards her huge blade again, before firing off another snide remark. The woman huffed in irritation and rapped her knuckles against the blade. It dispersed in a flash of silver, as the woman started to explain the difference between nature and living people. But the Heran turned away, gaze returning to the village. He crudely returned to her comment about ‘goods’, pondering what kind of specialized goods a small Namekian village could be producing. “That’s a loose term for describing my breasts, you dummy!” The woman finally shouted, getting a word in before the Heran turned back to face her. He simply crossed his arms, before stating he wasn’t interested in any fights. The woman scowled and strolled past the man to look at the village. Her fury was still brewing, but it wasn’t enough for her to do anything else. “I wouldn’t want to fight such a wimp anyway. I’d break you without missing a beat, guy.”

The Heran placed his hands on his hips, and shot the woman a glance with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, okay, and calling me a snoop wasn't?" he retorted with a callous silver tongue. He had wondered whether or not to be irate with her hypocrisy, or to find some sort of deadpan humour in it. he had quickly decided to go with the latter, snickering a little.
He watched as Tulip pushed herself off of the embedded sword, still finding it comical how much taller it was than her own frame. Still, with as strong as she let on, he would not be surprised if she had the hidden strength to hoist and swing it around—why would she have such equipment if she couldn't? Her combat style, though not been showed off yet, intrigued him to some degree, especially when the huge blade disappeared as swiftly as it materialised.
Her explanation of her meaning of 'goods' made the Heran's eyes widen a little. A faint blush formed in his cheeks, though luckily obscured by his cloak. He lifted his head up just in case. "W-what? You—" he let out a harsh cough "What made you think I had any interest in those!? I mean… they're nice and all, but—Okay, shush now. I don't need you landing me in hot water more than I already am!"
His attention was brought back to focus as she admitted to not wanting to fight, although her reasoning was a tad harsh. Gaivahros would let it slide. "Then it's settled," spoke the Heran with high spirits, his arms spread from his sides, "we can relax and chill and watch the sunset!"
Without even giving her time to respond, the warrior spun on his back leg and turned to face outwards from the cliff edge. His legs swung out from under him, and his body landed with a thud against the grass as he sat over the edge, legs dangling. He looked down at the village for a moment, watching as its people walked and talked and played and worked. His head then reclined back up, emerald eyes catching the glimpse of the teal horizon. "It's a nice place, isn't it? Lovely skies… Plenty of greenery… Though perhaps too much green." he let out a light chuckle. His hand brushed one of his bangs from his eyes. "I've only really known just… dirt. More dirt. And dark skies. Like, super gloomy skies. Vegeta wasn't exactly the most visually striking of planets."

The young woman noted his blush, smiling slightly in satisfaction. So this Heran was a young man after all. He turned towards the cliff, arms spinning out from his sides. He spoke with a firm but calm voice, as he sat down on the edge of the cliff. I haven’t taken the time to see the sunset in a while. Guess now is as good a time as any. Sliding to a seated position a couple feet away from the Heran, the woman’s gaze followed his and looked at the village. All of the people living happily and peacefully there made the woman ponder just how long it could last. There was a battle brewing on the horizon; the SSE had stated their goals clearly on Vegeta, along with the Saiyan named Zucceta. The woman’s eyes widened in shock; in her complacency, she’d never told Rhytid about the SSE’s possible invasion. The woman started to lean forward, to fly away from the cliff, but the Heran’s voice made her pause. He’s from a wasteland...Vegeta?! That means he’s-! Slowly pushing herself up onto the edge of the cliff, the woman’s gaze fell on the Heran man. Taking a slow breath, the woman spoke audibly. “Are you a member of the Solar Saiyan Empire? And are you here for the inevitable battle? Depending on your answer, we might have to fight.” Her ki crackled down her arm, sparks of silver dancing in the air as the woman let her challenge hang in the air.

A small smile formed on the Heran's lips as the girl joined him on the cliff edge, although it was apparent that she find him to be completely trustworthy, having kept her distance from him some. Gaivahros didn't mind; he just appreciated the company.
He joined Tulip in taking in the scenery of the village below. Mature, healthy Namekian men tended to the hard work and heavy lifting of their duties, their bodies in their prime to handle such arduous labour. Young children, no more than six or seven years of age, ran around and chased each other in a game of tag and other similar games. The elderly did what they could to help, though at their age it wasn't much.
"This world is… full of light," spoke Gaivahros after a moment of silence between the two of them. "And I don't just mean Namek. Everywhere—Vegeta, Namek, Hera—everywhere I know has its good side. I hope that every world in this huge universe is like this. I hope every world stays that way."
His eyes snapped to the side as they caught sight of Tulip move, but then she sat back down. "Damn, that's a huge twitch you've got there," he humoured with a slight chuckle. "You should really get that checked out. Nearly fell right off the cliff, you did."
But the girl's words dampened his lightened mood. He paused, gathering his thoughts before replying, "No, and yes. I may be half Saiyan, but I do not swear loyalty to them. They are my kin, and that is the extent of our relationship. As for the battle… I will be joining it. I have given my cause to the Namekian Warrior Caste and their leader, Rhytid.
"Having said that… which side will you be fighting for?"
