“Chaya, we need your help! It’s the West Wild Cats! They hurt Amelia and put Janice into the hospital!” A young girl in a sailor outfit stood at the counter of the China Dragon cafe, staring at the blonde maid. Chaya’s grin never slipped, as the girl stood across from her.
“Hello, miss. What would you like to order from our menu?” Chaya’s visage didn’t slip, as the maid waited in front of the cash register. The black-haired, sailor-suit clad delinquent stared at the blonde maid, before looking at the ground with a pained expression.
“Ever since you left our group two years ago, we’ve been getting torn to shreds by the rest of the schools. When you left, it was the worst time of our lives! You betrayed us, Chaya! Without you, Emily, Aria, even Bea have all been injured or worse! Why...no, how could you betray us, your family, after your own family died?!” The girl’s pained shout echoed through the small cafe, as the other patrons glanced up from their meals. The blonde maid maintained her smile, as the black-haired girl bit her lip through tears streaming down her face. “After you started with this dress-up nonsense, it’s all fallen apart! Our group, the bonds, even those you promised to never hurt, all of it has broken!”
SLAP!
The black-haired girl’s eyes widened in shock as her head was jerked to one side. The maid’s hand was outstretched, black leather glove splayed out. A red mark started forming on the girl’s cheek, as her brown eyes widened in shock. As her gaze flitted towards the maid, Chaya’s smile remained.
“If you’re going to bother all the other patrons, miss, I’ll need to ask you politely to leave.”
Grabbing her bag from the door side as the girl ran out, she fled with tears running down her cheeks. The young maid stared at her black glove with a frown on her face, before clenching it into a fist. Letting her gaze return to the front, the same, relaxed smile appeared, which bothered the patrons watching. But none commented, returning only to their food.
As she finished cleaning up the shop, the young girl slowly walked up the stairs. Her hand still stung from earlier, when she had slapped Emily. Her own friend, a girl she’d fought and bled alongside. She’d made all those promises, when she’d been a happy-go-lucky girl just enjoying life. The young maid paused in front of her mirror, staring at her expression. It wasn’t the smile she’d hoped for; a look of rage and pain was splayed across her face. Slowly undoing the ties for her maid dress, the young blonde let it fall to the ground. Picking up the dress and setting it gently on the bed, the girl undid her head-dress. Laying it next to the dress, Chaya then pulled off her tights and the matching shoes. The final thing to come off was her gloves. The girl stared at herself in the mirror, from the bandages to the scars.
“Emily...I’m sorry.” The young girl strolled forward, yanking open her closet. Inside was a pair of tattered pants and a tattered trench-coat. Both were in a similar design to the sailor outfit from earlier in the day. Marks of a past long forgotten. Pulling both out, the girl slid the pants on and threw the jacket over her shoulders. Reaching onto the shelf above, the girl yanked down an old visor. Sliding it on over her blonde, spiky hair, the young girl slid on the sandals at her feet. Then the girl stepped out of the closet and closed the door. Glancing at her reflection, there was no longer the maid from before. Now it was just Chaya, the Fighting Fury of Doujima High. Adjusting her visor with a flick of her wrist, the girl strolled towards the window, before leaping out. Gripping her jacket with one fist, she landed on the ground in a billow of dust.
“The Fury walks again; time to pay the Wild Cats a rude visit.” The young girl walked down the street, glare enough to scare away nearby walkers.
“Ora!” With a single punch, the girl sent a student armed with a bat into the earth with a boom. Her gaze shot over her shoulder, towards three girls in blue outfits. All three shot out to either side, armed with a knife, staff, and knuckle dusters. “Don’t you know who I am!?”
The first girl shot forward, attempting to stab the fighter with her knife. Chaya’s foot shot up, catching the knife in the straw between her big and second toe. Clenching both together, the Fury drove her foot down, disarming the girl and sending her stumbling towards the ground. Her other foot came up, slamming into the girl’s chin. Her head snapped back, blood flowing from the injury. The second girl swung her staff around her body, attempting to gain momentum before whirling forward. Slamming her feet against the ground, Chaya slid her entire body backwards, hitting the girl in the stomach as she held the staff high. Her elbow was retracted, as the fighter in the coat spun around. The staff-girl attempted to shake off the damage, but Chaya was faster. Slamming one palm into the girl’s guts, Chaya drove the breath from her lungs. Then the Fury stepped forward, driving her fist into the girl’s nose. The girl flew backwards from the impact, blood pouring from the injury. The final girl glanced at her two companions, before stepping back.
“Oi, don’t run. Come at me, like you did the rest of my friends.” Chaya’s irritated voice reached the girl, as the Fury strode forward, glaring from under her visor. The girl threw down her weapon, dropping to her knees and raising her hands in surrender.
“Please don’t hurt m-GAH!?” The girl’s frantic pleas were cut off as the Fury slammed her heel into her face, sending the delinquent backwards into the pavement. She grabbed at the injury to her face, as Chaya strode past her fallen body.
“Time to find the rest of the Wild Cats. I need to punish all of them...wait, who are you?” Her gaze flitted to someone new, something far stronger than any delinquent she’d run into this evening. "I don't have time for games; come out if you're going to fight!"
