Pota smiled at Gira and scratched the back of his head nervously. "Oh come on Gira that was one time when I first came to Earth and I learned to hold back on those thugs almost immediately. Plus I've been training a lot during my hero patrols I've taken down plenty of other thugs without seriously injuring them at all." As they reached a room labeled 5-C Kaci mentioned that the class was called Home Room and that their teacher Miss Chal was strict but nice. Pota could do strict he grew up on Vegeta after all. It was a good thing that Gira had ripped off his tail a few weeks back or else he would have to worry about hiding it from other classmates.
When they entered the classroom he saw that the teacher was reading a book before class. 'I hope I can write a book one day.' Pota thought as he sat down with Gira and much . As the bell rang the teacher calmly marked the book she was reading and greeted the class and the class responded in kind. As she began to address the class she called for Pota to introduce himself. Pota wasn't use to addressing crowds of people unless he was "The Great Monkey Man" but this didn't unnerve him to much so he stood to address the class. "Hi everyone my name is Pota I'm from North City, and I like cooking, writing, and sparring." Before Miss Chal could respond a laugh sounded out from among the students.
"Man I can't tell if you're a housewife or a wannabe fighter." The student that made the remark was a short human with a medium muscular build his hair was bright red, and he wore a wolfish smile like he was looking for his next meal or victim. "You say you like sparring well I sincerely hope you join the boxing team, you see I'm among the top three next to Gira there and the last kid who tried to join didn't last a second in the ring with me so I've been needing a new punching bag." Pota had seen his type before. Strong stupid and lacking social grace. But his remark about Pota being a punching bag got his Saiyan blood running warm if not a little hot.
"Well good news is...what's your name?"
"Relur third seat on White Dove High Boxing Team"
"Well good news is Relur I'm joining the team, bad news is I'll be relieving you of you're position on the team." The young Saiyan would say with a smile while looking back at his challenger in the upper back row of the classroom.
"The hell you just say to me punk!!" Relur would exclaim as he jumped up from his seat.

Gira looked over at Relur as he began hassling Pota. She was about to say something, but stopped herself. Pota had to learn how to defend himself from assholes in High School. It was all part of the experience. Gira, being Captain of the boxing team, didn't have to worry much about things like that. While Gira wouldn't hurt someone who bullied her, the rest of the student body didn't want to take the chance. Gira just watched the exchange between the two. Pota seemed like he knew how to handle himself in this situation. Knowing you were infinitely stronger than someone helped with that.
The argument would be cut short, however. "Relur, keep it to yourself before I give you so much to do that it will be called lifework instead of homework." Miss Chal glared at the student with a look that could level mountains. Even if she was bluffing, no one dared to call Miss Chal on it before. The brunette pushed her glasses up her nose. "Okay, then. Nice to meet you, Pota. I hope you enjoy your time here at White Dove High. If you like to cook, we have a great culinary arts program." She crossed her arms and smiled. "My door is always open if you need anything, so keep that in mind as well. You may take your seat."
Once Pota sat down, the teacher moved back to her desk. "Alright then, you all know the drill. The next hour is yours. Use it wisely." Once Miss Chal took her seat, Gira looked over at Pota.
"Nice one. Relur's a jerk. Just remember to take it easy on him if you ever end up in the ring with him. He might be a jerk, but he's harmless." Gira reached into her bag and pulled out a granola bar. She had breakfast that morning, but she was hungry already. As she munched on the bar of chocolate-y, granola-y goodness, Kaci leaned over and spoke to Pota.
"So, you're actually gonna join the boxing team? Nice. Someone needs to knock that ass down a peg. Gira's way too nice to him." The blond glanced over at her friend. Gira simply shrugged at what she said.
"I just don't like using my power to beat up on someone weaker than me." The half-Saiyan said with a mouthful of granola.

Pota would smile at Kaci and Gira " Well some people just need a little tough love and don't worry Gira I won't hurt him...Physically." Looking ever so innocent and gullible as usual. At this moment his blazer slipped back enough for Gira and Kaci could clearly see the ripped sleeves on the shirt he was wearing. "Besides give him enough rope and he'll hang himself I saw it a lot back where I use to live."
Pota being the thick in the head Saiyan he was he hadn't noticed yet he had forgotten all about hiding his past misdeed from his arrival. Pota had decided to catch a few zzzs before the next class so he could make up for the lost minutes of sleep he was use to before school started.

Gira's eyes widened as Pota's blazer slipped, allowing Kaci to see how her shirt was ripped. Gira tried to warn Pota, but it was too late. Kaci noticed the damage, glaring at the Saiyan with fire in her eyes. "Pota... is that my shirt?" She hissed, her gaze locked on to where the sleeves used to be. After a short pause, she took a deep breath, calming down. Finally, without a single hit of the seething rage within, Kaci whispered to Pota. "Watch your back." After that, Kaci started working on her homework from the previous night. Gira looked over at Pota with a look of pity on her face.
"Well, its been nice knowing you. I'll make sure that whatever is left of you gets a proper burial." Gira then dug through her bag for her own homework before getting started on it. It was Physics. Her least favorite subject.
The school day was rather average and boring, but finally it was at an end. That afternoon, Gira had told Pota that she would meet him at the school's entrance to get him signed up for boxing. Gira was standing near the doors now as students filed out, heading on home.

Pota stared in horror as he noticed his blunder. The terrified Saiyan would let out a long winded, barely audible high pitched gasp. 'I'm a dead man.' Thought Pota as he visualized his final hours at the hands of the legendary "Slap of a thousand broken jaws!" He didn't even hear Gira or anyone else that whoke day until Gira snapped him out of it later that day mentioning boxing practice. Which thankfully got Pota' s mind off of his impending doom. As Pota approached the entrance of the school after last period he saw Gira waiting there gear in hand and ready to go. "Well at least I'll enjoy one last fight before I die." Pota laughed while following Gira to the gym. "So is there anyone else on the team that's strong like you, Pence, and Relur??" Asked Pota curiously to Gira.

As Gira and Pota made their way to the gym, the Saiyan asked her about the rest of the team; specifically, he asked about their strength and whether or not they had someone else as strong as her or the other two. The half-Saiyan shook her head. "Nah, I think i'm the strongest on the team. No one even comes close, unfortunately." She said with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"Anyway, as for Pence and Relur, those two are pretty close in strength. Pence is better, though. Relur has shown steady improvement, but Pence has a whole lot more raw talent." Soon after they began their walk, Gira and Pota had made it to the gym. Gira opened the metal doors to reveal a fighter's wonderland. A ring had been set up in the center of the gym, Pence and another boxer currently using it for practice.Others were lifting weights are using the punching bag. "Here's where the magic happens." Gira smiled and walked up to a gruff-looking man in a sweatshirt.
"Yo, Coach!" Gira grinned and waved at the man. The coach smiled as Gira approached with Pota.
"Well, if it ain't my golden girl. Who's this?" The man eyed Pota suspiciously.
"This is my friend, Pota. He's a transfer student. He wants to join the team." Gira gestured to her friend with a smile.
"Really, eh?" He examined the boy for a moment. "Eh, alright. Let's see what you can do. Get in the ring with..." As the coach began to look around for someone to pair the Saiyan with, Gira spoke up.
"Uh, actually, I was hoping I could be his partner." She smiled nervously.
"You?" The coach's eyes widened in surprise. "You're the best we got. You'd chew that kid up in five seconds."
"I know, but I can hold back. I recruited him, just let me see what hes got. Please?" Gira begged, giving her coach puppy eyes. The older man sighed and facepalmed.
"Fine, fine. Pence! Gomu! Gira and Pota got the ring!" He called up to the two. Pence turned and grinned when he noticed Pota.
"Hey man! Glad you could make it." He bounded out of the arena and wrapped a towel around the back of his neck.
"Okay, you two. You're up." The coach jerked his thumb towards the ring. Gira picked up a set of boxing gloves from the nearby table and slipped them on, tossing a pair to Pota. She jumped up into the ring, waiting for Pota to join her. Then, she put her guard up.
"Okay, Pota. Let's see what you got." Gira smirked at him confidently.

As Pota and Gira started their match everyone stopped they were eager to see the new member of the team face off against "One Punch Gira". None more eager than Relur who was in the crowd watching Pota like a hawk still seething over home room's incident.
'That fucking newbie is gonna pay!' Relur thought to himself as he clenched his fists and a static shock discreetly shot across his hands. He smiled to himself as he visualized Pota's broken body at his feet.
Pota smirked and dropped into his fighting stance raising his left arm in front of him and lowering his right arm to his side clenching his fists and crouching slightly to the ground. Pota hadn't fought Gira for awhile so he was eager to see how much he had grown in comparison to her. Unfortunately Pota couldn't sense energy so he had no idea what he was about to learn. Nonetheless Pota would dash forward and drop under Gira's guard. He would proceed to feign an upper cut with his right arm and gut punch Gira at the last second with his left hoping to catch her off balance.

Seeing Pota's uppercut coming, Gira hopped backwards slightly out of its way as she raised her arm in practiced precision to block The Saiyan's left hook. Once the attack bounced harmlessly off her guard, Gira retaliated. First was a light jab to Pota's face, followed by several low punches to his gut. The punches were slowed and much less powerful than normal, but without the teen half-Saiyan using her energy suppression, they still packed a wallop.
With every punch that collided, a loud "thwap" noise would echo throughout the gym with the impact of the Captain's punches. If Pota managed to block the punches, Gira would come out of nowhere with a right hook aimed at the side of Pota's face. Gira had a simple carefree smile on her face during the entire exchange. She clearly loved to box.
Pence watched with the others from the sidelines, his arms crossed as he analyzed the fight with a great attention to detail. "New guy's got some moves. Maybe i'll get in the ring with him sometime. Give him the second hardest fight of his life." He said to the coach with an amused chuckle. The Coach simply watched in awe. He knew Pota had something special about him to be able to go toe-to-toe with Gira like he was.

Pota's attempt to fake out Gira didn't go how he had exactly planned. But he wasn't surprised he was up against Gira after all and she had gotten stronger. Pota's attempt wouldn't go unpunished as Gira's fist popped him in the jaw with a loud thwap and his head jerked backwards violently like someone had hit him with a sledgehammer.
"Holy crap did that break his neck that looked pretty rough!!" One of the other teammates said in the crowd of on lookers.
Pota would of course not be dead and instead put his guard up immediately for the incoming barrage of torpedo like punches that Gira followed up with. The Saiyan youth would be able to block most of them with one or two glancing their target. But the Saiyan noticed almost a second too late the last blow coming in towards his blind spot. He would put up his guard just in time to block it however even that proved to be harder than he thought as his opponent's fist hit his forearm a shot of pain go up his arm.
"Whoooo! Man that was one hell of a punch Gira this is getting fun!" Pota laughed and straightened up as he cracked his knuckles as he gave a light spring backwards as he pushed his bodyweight into the ropes of the ring and used them as a spring to launch him toward Gira. He would use the speed from the launch and his own personal speed to lunge at Gira with an all out punch (so called).
"He used the ropes who is this guy!?" Yelled another student in the crowd.
Relur watched as he observed his next victim. 'What an unoriginal thing to do what is he a wrestler or a boxer?'

Gira smirked and raised her fists when Pota said that he was having fun. She was too, in truth. While her strength had grown many times over since the first time she stepped into this ring, she never boxed with anyone as strong as Pota. At least, not here. Not at school. She readied herself as Pota lunged at her off the ropes. It was a simple, straightforward punch. The half-Saiyan's smirk widened.
'Time to show him why I'M the Captain.'
Gira's senses made the punch appear to come in slow motion. It was easy to dodge. She didn't want to lose her record of not getting hit, after all. No, he'd have to earn his punches. Gira didn't give hand outs in the ring. As Pota's punch came towards her, the half-Saiyan ducked under it and threw out one of her own. If it collided with Pota's midsection like it was intended to, he would notice that she packed a lot more power into this one. It made her last few punches seem like nothing.
It would even generate a small shockwave that would cause the ropes to swing to and fro. As Gira and Pota's spar continued, Pence would applaud and call out from the crowd. "Come on, New guy! You got this! Just keep standing and you'll be fine!"

Like Pota's last attack he was seriously underestimating Gira's power and her reputation on the boxing team. Pota should have known in his previous spars with Gira that straight forward attacks don't work on her she see's them coming every time. This realization came mere moments late as Gira ducked under his lunge. At that moment everything seemed to freeze as one thought came to his mind.
'This isn't going to feel very nice.' As quickly as the thought occurred so did the collision of Gira's fist to Pota's gut sending the newest member of the boxing team spiralling out of the ring, through a stack of dumbbells, and into the wall. As he hit the ground he just barely hung onto consciousness and just lied on the concrete floor gasping for breathe.
"OH FUCK!! Is he even alive!?"
"It looks like he's still breathing but that was crazy!"
"I didn't know the captain was that strong."
As everyone was talking Pota had enough time to catch his breathe and began to laugh out loud. He leaned up and looked at Gira. "That was awesome Gira didn't know you were that strong!!" The young Saiyan brushed himself off and looked around. "Anyone else wanna spar I'm still eager to get to the real training!"

Gira blinked as she remained in position, her fist still out. 'Uh oh. Did I overdo it?' Gira watched where Pota finally came to rest, silently begging him to get up in her thoughts. He did so, thankfully, the hybrid issuing a sigh of relief. "Thank Kami. I thought I might've killed you. I get too excited sometimes and have trouble holding back." She chuckled nervously. "Glad you're okay though." Gira bounded out of the ring over the ropes and helped Pota up.
"Man, Gira! That was some punch!" Pence approached the two, an impressed grin on his face. "I thought I was catching up. It seems I still have some work ahead of me." When Pota asked who wanted to spar next, Pence was the first to step up. "Sure, we can go a round. I'm curious to see how strong you are." Gira took her gloves off and passed them to Pence.
"Here ya go. Knock yourself out." Before she went off to join the other boxers, Gira gave Pota a knowing look that said "take it easy on him." Then, she went over to one of the punching bags, wrapping her hands and beginning to give a series of light punches to it. Well, "punch" wasn't really the right word for it. "Tap" would be a better fit. Once Pence got his gloves on, he hit them together and grinned at Pota.
"Okay, let's do this!" He hopped into the ring, waiting for his opponent to arrive. When Pota decided to join him, Pence would give him a respectful nod before holding out his gloves. Once the two touched gloves, the fight would begin.

Pota looked back at Gira as he smiled and nodded at her assuring he wouldn't hurt him. In fact Pota already knew what he was going to do. 'He's obviously not as strong as Gira and according to her he's already dropped in rank due to that fact.' Thought the young Saiyan as he got into the ring. Pence would join him in the center and hold out his glove. However Pota had never been in boxing so all he did at first was stare curiously at his glove.
"Psst, hey newbie.." Pota looked over at the edge of the ring one of the teammates was whispering at him. "Ya gotta touch his glove before the fight starts its a respect thing ya know." Pota smiled knowingly nodding a Thank you at his peer as he turned to Pence and bumped his glove against his before dropping into his fighting stance again.
'I'd be a real jerk if I took his spot as co-captain from him too.' He would dash forward and ever so lightly give a series quick jabs. Making sure he held back a serious amount he only had the intention of giving Pence a good fight not to hurt or embarrass him.

Once the pair touched gloves, Pence put his guard up. Good thing too, as Pota began to pepper him with some light jabs. Pence lowered his center of gravity and kept his guard up, keeping Pota from striking his vital areas. 'Man, this guy's a lot stronger than he looks.. and he looks strong as it is!' As Pota and Pence sparred, Gira had finished her round on the punching bag and joined the crowd at the side of the ring.
"How's it going?" Gira asked one of her teammates. The guy didn't take his eyes off the fight as he replied.
"He's keeping up with Pence, too. Newbie's got potential, i'll admit. I'd like to take a crack at him myself sometime." With that, the hybrid started watching the fight too. It was strange. Pota was really fighting down. She knew what he was capable of. Pence shouldn't even be a challenge, she was sad to admit. But he was actually keeping up, which surprised the half-Saiyan.
"Don't let your guard down, Pota! This fight isn't over yet!" Pence finally found an opportunity to get under Pota's onslaught long enough to counterattack. First came an uppercut towards Pota's chin. It was powerful, that was for sure, but nowhere near as powerful as a Saiyan. Should that succeed, he would follow up with several jabs to the face before finishing his combo with a powerful right hook.

Pota would clearly see through Pence's attack. He could have easily dodged the blow but seeing as he was beaten by Gira. It would be no surprise if he was beaten by their vice captain. After all he had just fought the two best fighters on the team. It would stand to reason he would lose to him due to lack of stamina. Pota would stand there as Pence's attacks meet their target one after the other. He would wait a moment or two before crying out in what seemed to be pain? Pota would then use his flight ability to throw himself out of the ring.
"Woah! Pence your hits are so hard they have a delayed effect!! You're super strong!" Said the Saiyan youth as he laughed happily. "Good fight bro!" He would hop up and outstretch his hand to shake his hand.
"Alright Pence off the ring it's my turn to break in the newbie!!" Shouted Relur as he would shove his way through the crowd. Looking over at Pota with a wolfish smile. "You're mine now greenhorn!" Growled the Human adolescent with a stare that county pierce any normal fighter's soul. However Pota stood there undaunted.
"Who are you again?" Pota asked nonchalantly and obliviously. Relur looked like he was going to explode. But before he could on of the other teammates came over to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Come on Relur give the guy a break he faced down Pence and Gira I don't think even you would have enough stamina to continu-." He wouldn't finish before Relur shoved an electric fist into his gullet.
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!!" Relur roared before he lifted the good samaritan up and kneeing him so hard he flew into the base of the ring with a large thud. At that point Pota was done watching this guy... Whoever he was.
"Relur was it? I think you've gone on long enough I don't need to fight you in the ring..." Said Pota as he walked over to him calmly. Relur put his guard up as electric ki shot out of his hands. But before he could do anything else the Saiyan was in front of him with his hand on his stomach. "...I'll knock you out right here." Pota simply stated as he pressed against Relur's abdomen lightly yet with enough force to push the wind and consciousness out of him.
Pota exits the thread taking PL, good thread Gira
