Blokus' PL = 2500
"Thanks again!" Blokus called across the shop as he left, waving at the girl behind the counter. This was part of his training, He'd pick up lunch and wouldn't eat it until he was finished with the exercises required for his training. The first of which, was his cardio. Blokus dropped the paper sack that held his lunch into his knapsack, and took off running.
Blokus stopped himself before he ran into the giant boulder in the center of his favorite training spot. He checked his watch. "Nice! I that's ten seconds better than yesterday!" Blokus thought to himself as he opened his knapsack and removed his lunch. "Let's see if I can improve my record on the rest."
After he finished his lunch Blokus put the garbage back in his pack, and tossed it to the side. "I should do my stretches before I forget..." Blokus thought as he stood, readying himself for his stretches. "I should add yoga to my training... I'd get my stretches in, and it'd probably good for strengthening my ki based abilities..." He thought as he finished up his stretches.
"Alright. Push up time..." Blokus readied himself as he fell into the push-up position. He started slowly, before doing more push-ups faster. "Alright, let's try for 150 this time." He thought as he passed the hundred push-up mark.
He was up to 135 and his arms were starting to feel like Jell-o. "C'mon... push yourself harder... you'll never be a hero if you can't do more than this..." Self motivation was key to his training. His own words resonated through his head, raising his morale. Blokus kept going, motivated to go beyond his limits... that is... before his arms gave out.
"One seventy-five." Blokus said, as he lay on the ground.
"Alright. Final bit of training." He told himself, getting in the same stance he would when facing an opponent in boxing. "Okay... today's the day you do it. You're gonna crack that boulder..." Blokus faced the ten foot boulder in the center of the field. He readied his fists. His thought process was, the harder the surface he punched, the harder the impact would be against criminals.
The training for his blows went pretty well, as always he did chip a couple stone off the rock, but he never got the giant crack he wanted. "C'mon Greg! Be a hero!" He said, readying his fist, for one final blow. When the impact landed, a sickening crunch was heard.
The scream that followed could be heard by anybody in a five mile radius.
