While he was confident the two of them were on very much equal footing when Tulip's power suddenly spiked, he was positive of it now. Their close-combat exchange ended in a scored blow for the both of them, much to the Tiger's delight. She'd managed to defend herself from the left elbow, but the right had more or less hit its mark. As she slid back and away from him, he'd turn and resume a posture facing her, though relaxing it once he saw her do the same. She was faster, stronger, and tougher than she'd been all throughout this fight in spades now. If he dropped his guard too much, he was confident she was going to make him pay for it. She spoke of how he had held back earlier, saving his chi-infused techniques to spare her health. It was true, and they both knew as much; had he gone all-out before now, the fight would have likely came to a swift and possibly more gruesome end. Something within him kept him from going any further than he had to, and now he'd been rewarded with the perfect situation to test out a myriad of his techniques in a combat environment, even if it were a spar. ''It's true. I don't know what told me to hold back; I had this feeling in my gut that you only misunderstood. What kind of man would I be to not try and show you the truth through my actions?'' He'd offer her a smile, cycling through possible techniques in his mind that he hadn't used quite so often. There were new and old, and he'd been spending a lot of time refining them as of late to keep from falling out of practice.
''Let me see the legendary techniques of the one known as the Three-Eyed Tiger.”
Who was he to turn down such a request? It was clear she was eager to see just how much she'd managed to close the gap. It wasn't hard to tell he was wondering the same. She slowly began to advance toward him, energy coiling its way up her charging arm in potent sparks. Liang's own orange energy would flare up before encasing his body in a light shroud, clinging to his form like a silhouette of his own body. His Third Eye narrowed in focus as he emulated her movement, beginning to advance slowly as well. ''With this technique, one of my newest and greatest strengths is flexibility of strategy. Pooling this energy of mine only to divert it at the last moments into exactly what I need. This is the Rite of Postponement!'' His own sparks of energy began to flicker and dance across his form, and he remained ready for her pace to change so he could match it and strike against her technique with one of his own. His options began to cycle through his mind; he was a master of many, and that was perhaps his greatest advantage in a fight. ''Is there more to you than summoning that weaponry, or should I know what to expect? I guess we're about to see.''

Tulip listened to Liang’s response to her statements, and nodded as he agreed to her statements. He was as perceptive as the fighter hoped; this next battle would push both of them to newer heights. The woman waited for the man’s response to her open show of aggression. Her eyes widened in shock as the man’s orange aura reappeared, flaring up to surround his entire body. The man began walking forward, matching the woman’s own pace. It was clear his goal was simple; match her pace and reveal a move to match and counter her own. He began speaking, revealing the true nature of his growing ki. It was a technique that simply involved building his ki to use in any way at the moment it was needed. I have a similar technique, but I didn’t give it a fancy name like ‘Rite of Postponement’. Is this guy a flamboyant individual? Even if he is, his strength is first class. It is clear that everything he has now he’s fought for. With his next comment, the woman’s brow twitched in slight rage. He was thinking light of the woman, if he thought her strength was only in her weapons. She’d already displayed her speed; with his eyes, the man could probably track that with his eyes. The weapons wouldn’t help her either; he was ready and waiting for her to throw more of them. Now that their strength was on a comparable level, the woman might be able to trade blows with the man against his staff and not lose. But...even with that, I still have nothing left. Nothing more than this fist and my strength. Guess it’s down to a brawl. Grinning suddenly, the woman continue walking towards the man. She began rotating the shoulder of the arm with the building ki, speaking in response to the man’s interrogation. “My strength is situational, even more than yours, Liang. I don’t think about a fight, or have a gajillion techniques to respond to every possibility. All that I do is the simplest path.” Stomping her foot down as she entered striking range, Tulip rotated her entire body in order to put more weight behind her punch. As the ki building around her fist coalesced into a silver gauntlet around her fist, joy began building in the woman's heart. As her fist traveled forward, the woman cracked air with the speed of her punch. Her grin shifted to something more savage, as her punch shot towards the man’s gut. “I don’t put a lot of thought into my fights; I simply push forward with my determination and pray everything works out!”

As he advanced toward her, his pace matching her own as he spoke, he felt a slight bit of satisfaction when he watched her brow twitch with building fury. He hadn't meant to speak less of her, but he enjoyed the reaction. His chi continued to cling to his body, its hue darkening slightly and the edges of the silhouette becoming sharper and more erratic. With where her energy was focused, he was expecting a powerful physical blow to head his way at any moment. He'd have to react fast; her speed had leaped up sharply with her interesting new form, so he couldn't afford to slack. As the distance between the two continued to shorten, he'd suddenly stop and flash a genuine, toothy smile. ''Hey now, I meant no offense. You hit a lot harder when I push your buttons, remember?'' He'd point to his still-bruised and somewhat swollen nose with a jesting laugh. Sure he could be described as a bit flamboyant. After all, in KAOS' first formative days Poi was the master of combat poses that inflicted the dread of unstoppable teamwork and camaraderie, and he and Liang together had created several two-member poses, even dragging Cipher in unwillingly as a third every now and then. ''When you mess with the Kay-Oh Squad, you'll get KO'd!'' That was what they'd always shout. Maybe it was something the new blood didn't understand, or maybe it came down to pent up machismo from watching too many Ornion Shallotnagger flicks. It was fun to get over-the-top sometimes, and the rank and file loved seeing KAOS members turn into action heroes in those random moments. Who knows? Maybe he'd even bring her around to it in time. It was always fun trying to find the humorous sides of the serious ones. Back to business, Liang let his smile fade quickly back into his focused three-eyed and readied stare. Her shoulder rolled; she was about to strike. If he could meet the blow with one of his own, they'd both get a really good feeling of how much she'd closed the gap! His heart thumping at the encounter still, he would flash one of his hands up to his face where a loose, orange, flame-like construct would surface at the tip of his pointer finger. He called it formless chi, and it formed the backbone of the technique he was going to be using a split second afterward. In a flash, the fire would coil around and engulf his hand and he would lash out in an advancing punch with the back of his fist, Liang crouching after his stepping advance to meet her own blow fist to fist! Upon the cataclysmic contact, the energy wrapped around his fist would blast outwards, strikingly similar in form, shape, and function to a blast of flame! It just so happened to burn like the real deal, too. He was betting her newfound energy would help against that.
