"Aaaaaaaaaah!" were the only words that came out of Ryder's mouth as she flew ass-first into the Dojo's wall with a violent *thud* that shook the room.
In that instant she struck, Ryder's Qi spiked back to its absolute peak to better endure the damage, reinforcing her fleshly body from within. Just as quickly as it rose, however, the woman's power fell lower than it had in a long, long time. For the faintest instant she stuck to the wall by her sweat before one hundred times earth's gravity yanked her violently down the the floor with a milder crash. Even so Ryder could not prevent herself from grunting in pain.
Bruised and battered, the soldier was in a sorry state to be sure. Her training shorts and top were singed and shredded, barely still covering her most private places. Welts and blue-black bruises speckled her body, covered by a light spackle of her own blood, especially her front showing clear signs of blood vomit. A close look at Ryder's ribs would reveal a fist-shaped depression a good inch deep at its deepest.
"Computer.... disable Augmented Gravity" Ryder just barely managed to grunt the words out as she lay there in agony. She was right to coax Liang to push her HARD, she at last managed to break through to a yet higher level of power... but the cost to her condition was extreme.
"Don't... don't forget your promise... Li-li... be kind to me" she whispered through gritted teeth, struggling to maintain consciousness.

A trembling figure sat in the cave, staring at the falling water cascading near the entrance. Her emerald gaze remained on the falling water, as the young hybrid tried to steady her breathing. She’d managed to get stronger, so much stronger than she had been during that fatal encounter, but the young woman feared it wouldn’t be enough. A single, blue card lay on the earth in front of her, a fancy type scrawled across its face. The woman already knew what the message contained; a warning, a challenge, a place and time. She slowly rose to her feet, picking up the letter and crushing it in her fist. Her gaze returned to the falling water, as she closed her eyes. Her mind fanned outwards, encapturing the entire forest in her mental gaze. There were dozens of lives, tiny flames that signified a living creature. If that thing returned, it could easily destroy this entire forest, taking every life within. A terrifying prospect, that sent chills through the woman’s heart. A flickering flame burst into an inferno, drawing the woman’s attention. It was all too familiar; a good friend, the woman’s closest companion in the Blue Banner Army. That flame suddenly dimmed, almost dying completely. There was another, far more powerful flame standing close by. Putting two and two together, the woman’s eyes widened in shock. Thrusting one hand forward, a silver claymore materialized, splitting the waterfall in half. Shooting through the opening, the woman felt her rage rapidly building. The direction of the two Ki Signatures was familiar; it appeared to be Chai’s dojo. Gritting her teeth and forcing her ki to surge even further, Tulip’s speed more than doubled as silver energy appeared around her body. She didn’t slow down as she neared the dojo, just halting her ability to fly and maintaining her heightened strength. Falling through the sky, the woman landed on the ground just outside the main doors. Before the ground cracked, the woman rolled forward to reduce the impact and paused for a split-moment in a sprinter’s stance. Shooting forward into a quick sprint, Tulip darted through the building, sliding to a stop outside the gravity chamber. The doors were still sealed shut, which made the hybrid raise her fist in desperation. But before she could throw her punch, the active gravity symbol vanished, and a loud ding echoed through the hallway. The doors slowly hissed open, revealing her best friend and companion lying against the far wall. She was battered and beaten; not beyond recognition, but the opponent had definitely gone too far. Tulip was too far to hear the whispered words that left Ryder’s lips, as the hybrid slowly paced across the chamber and knelt next to the woman. Letting her fingers trace the fist-shaped mark on the human’s chest, Tulip’s gaze narrowed in rage. Her trembling hands went to Ryder’s, clenching them softly in her own. Her emerald gaze fell on Ryder’s blue, as the woman whispered. “I’m sorry for taking my time. Even if this was training… he went too far.” Letting the hands slip from hers, the woman rose from her kneeling position and turned to face the brown-haired man. There was only hatred in the woman’s eyes, as she continued speaking in a loud voice. “I don’t care who you are, how strong you are, or why you did this...just know that I’m going to beat you into a pulp, bastard.” Her ki was already crackling around her body, silver energy surging outwards as the woman’s rage was mixed into the already burning tempest. Narrowing her gaze, the woman shouted loudly, her ki suddenly shifting from silver to golden. Her hair underwent the same transformation, dark brown locks suddenly spiking upwards from ki and shifting into a golden hue. Her energy surged outwards, before wrapping around her body in a golden flame. Her now-blue gaze fell on the man’s, as she muttered. “ Clench your fucking teeth; otherwise I’ll kill you with this first strike.” Sprinting across the chamber in only a few steps, the woman planted her feet just in front of the man, bringing one fist back. Twisting her entire body to increase the power of the punch, the woman threw the fist forward with the intent of hitting the man right in the bridge of his nose. Though it was a high-strike for the shorter woman, she let her rage fuel and speed her punch in soaring towards it’s target.

As soon as he heard Ryder's cry of agony following the feeling of impact from his final blow that ended that bout, he knew something had gone terribly wrong. He watched in awe as she sailed backward and slammed into the far wall with a resounding thud, sounding more like that of a booming thunderclap. He'd reduced his output to well below his actual level of energy for the fight. Could he really have gotten so carried away? He wasn't sure what to say; with his mind conflicted, his thoughts ran circles over every facet and detail of what had led up to this situation. Once the pair had arrived at the Dojo and were just about to begin their bout, Ryder had made a request. He'd been stressed by her to push her hard in this training, and to really bring out what she was capable of. As an aspiring Master of a school of martial arts, he felt incredibly conflicted. He'd felt her chi sharply spike to an incredible level, and it was much like a form he had mastered long ago and was capable of activating at will. She'd activated it on impulse, most likely, bringing her energy level up to a notably impressive level. The energy must have shielded her body from the impact, as colliding with the wall hadn't seem to cause any more grievous injury like he suddenly realized it should have. He could understand why she urged him to handle this spar how he did, but it sure hadn't made him feel any better at how it ended up. The state she'd achieved was dangerous when untrained, likely to leave her body in a sorry state of recovery. He didn't know the layout of this place very well, but he needed to get her to a bed where she could rest. He was prepared to stay for as long as he needed to make sure she was alright. Was this what she'd aimed for all along? To have Liang push her so hard as to force that power spike out of her? If he'd known from the beginning, he would have progressed to it instead of forced it. Many other KAOS members would disagree, especially the brass. They were the fighting elite of Earth's most renowned branch of military. They had to be tough. They had to be skilled and powerful. But this? This was just too much. He began to take slow steps across the training area as he allowed his power to gradually rise back up to its false base output. He wouldn't get the chance to put his good deeds to action, though. He could barely make out the whisper from Ryder; he'd promised her he would take care of her, and he meant to. That was about the time the angry stranger stormed in. Who was this all of the sudden? Was it some sort of friend of Ryder's? She'd mentioned having a friend in the BBA. She would examine Ryder's injuries and beaten state, and he could feel the air grow thick with her rage. Her energy began to surge outwards, promising to make him pay for what he'd done. It was just a huge misunderstanding, but somehow he felt like words were going to be useless. He raised an eyebrow in surprise as her hair flashed golden, her eyes changing color. A Super Saiyan. He'd allow the Eye to creak open and begin raising his power up to its actual base value. There wasn't any sense in holding back against that form being activated so early, not to mention being backed by pure rage. He was going to have to fight his way out of this one, whether until she understood his mistake or neutralized her long enough to talk. It left a sour, disgusting taste in his mouth but he knew he was already out of options seconds into the pair's encounter. His aggressor would mutter something before bursting forward into a blistering sprint, clearing the distance in but a few pounding steps before her fist soared in for his face. With the height difference, he didn't expect it much to be a target. Maybe part of it was because of the guilt he was feeling, but his nose would let loose a sickening craaa~aack! As the Super Saiyan's fist made contact, breaking it on contact and sending him soaring backward until his heels dug in and he could catch his footing. It was ON. Battle instinct began to kick in. ''Hohhhh....''
Letting loose a cycle of calm chi breathing, his chi network was set aflame and his eyes burned with excitement. Balling his fists near his waist as the Third Eye shot open, his orange aura would cloak his body briefly before lashing out in a twister of energy. The strange extra eye would take a quick peek at Ryder before joining his primary two in staring down Tulip. He'd flash a hand up to the stream of blood leaking from his broken nose, grasping it roughly and forcing it back into setting with another crack just as abhorrent as the last one. Sinking his rear leg back as he coiled and poised himself into his signature Tiger Style martial arts pose, he could feel the adrenaline pumping in his veins, his heart thundering in his chest and his blood running hot. He deserved that first one, but this new mystery fighter had just started up a brawl with one of the strongest Earthlings alive. It was time to test that strength against a Super Saiyan! ''DEFEND YOURSELF!''Suddenly springing off of his back leg in a burst of high-speed movement, the Human warrior would dart side to side as between flashes of movement his legs would slam against the ground and kick off to add to his momentum. He'd make his entrance with a dashing elbow strike aimed for the torso to close in; afterward, he'd follow up with a low kick to try and upset her posture before positioning himself to use his back leg in a burst of momentum to attempt to close into zero-quarters range. After, he would finalize his attempted assault with a powerful forward-shifting strike of surprising, sudden power using his hip, shoulder, and elbow in an extremely close-quarters charge and strike maneuver. There was something about this battle already that made him feel alive.

Colors filled Ryder’s vision as she lay there in agony. Pain filled her psyche almost to the point of collapse but the woman stubbornly hung on. She couldn’t even continue to express her pain audibly, her body was in such ragged shape. The one thing she could do was to focus on those colores in her mind’s eye.
Focus she did... and slowly... ever so slowly... those colors began to take form into vague shapes and outlines. The most prominent among them were veritable novas in the aurora in her mind, one of Gold and one of Orange.
An incredible pressure assailed her mind as she watched these two novas within the sea of color. They gave her a very powerful sense of dread, as though they could wipe her out by accident and not even notice.
White mist slowly flowed away from her consciousness, dispersing into the prismatic fog. Gritting her teeth subconsciously, Ryder followed that stream back to its source to discover her own battered and bruised body. Shock briefly filled the woman’s mind as she perused the sheer severity of her own wounds, she knew she’d been getting the crap kicked out of her but never did she realize it was THIS bad until now.
That white mist leaking out of her was her Qi, slowly dribbling out of her with each breath she struggled to take. Ever so faintly did it ooze out of her pores before floating away.
With all the force of will and effort she could muster, Ryder forcefully bit her own tongue. Using both the pain and fresh blood as a catalyst, Ryder forcefully took control over the Qi leaking from her body and sucked it back in with each breath. Although her fleshly body was battered and broken, her Meridians- her Qi passageways- remained in relatively good condition.
Slowly, carefully Ryder cycled her Qi through her meridians, nourishing that damage to her body and keeping her life force where it belonged- within her. All the while a small portion of her consciousness could not help but to notice the clash of the two titanic forces nearby.
OOC: Ryder's sort of subconscious/semi-conscious and definitely not showing any signs of waking up or moving right now. If anybody has the mental bandwidth to spare you will notice she's no longer 'fading.'

Tulip’s clenched fist slammed into her intended target, snapping his head back from the impact. She felt his nose break under her fist, as the man flew back from her sudden punch. Dropping back onto the ground, the woman let her fist drop to her side as the male fighter flew backwards. He suddenly thrust both feet down, catching himself and sliding to a stop. The woman prepared to charge forward and continue her assault, when the man’s aura suddenly shifted. As he audibly breathed out, Tulip could feel the air in the room bending towards the man as his aura flared to life. She could see it as an orange inferno, raging far above her own current strength. It changed shape into a twister of orange flame, before dwindling around his body. Her fist was trembling, partially from fear and excitement, as the man moved. He reached up, resetting his nose with another audible crack. He assumed a stance she’d never seen before, as a stray thought crossed her mind. Ryder...where the actual hell did you manage to find this guy? “DEFEND YOURSELF!” His loud shout forced her out of her stupor, as the man shot to one side. As her gaze went to follow him, he had already slipped out of sight. The short hybrid threw up a hasty boxer’s stance, in an attempt to defend herself and retaliate. If I can just catch his first attack and counter accordingly, I should be able to weather this storm! Tulip’s eyes had finally managed to match the human’s fast pace, as he shot from side to side. The man suddenly stopped, feet sliding apart. Her fist instinctively shot forward, aiming for where his head would be coming...but it was high, as the man shot forward into an elbow strike. The blow struck Tulip in the chest, knocking the breath from her lungs. The woman brought her arm back and punched again, but the man darted back, lashing into a low kick. It slammed into Tulip’s leg, bruising the muscle. It wouldn’t be enough to halt her movement, but would make the battle harder if it lasted too long. In a final, desperate attempt to strike as the man rocked back on his position, the woman stepped forward and threw a wild hook towards his head. The man suddenly shifted forward, rotating his entire body into a shoulder check that made Tulip’s punch soar high and to the right. As his shoulder slammed into the hybrid’s chest, her body was knocked backwards easily by the force create. Seriously, how the heck did Ryder find and piss off this guy!? I need to at least pay him back for what he did before losing myself, dammit! With that thought, the woman used her backwards momentum and flight to flip backwards, bounding higher into the air by slamming her palm into the ground. As she soared back, the woman thrust her hands out to either side. Closing her fingers, golden ki crackled down her arms and focused on her fingertips, creating two knives. Flicking the blade with her thumbs, the knives fanned out, revealing the woman actually held over a dozen. As she slammed into the far corner of the chamber, the woman swung both of her arms out in one motion. The knives shot out in all directions, slamming into the ceiling, walls, and floor. When the golden blades hit their corresponding surfaces, all shifted paths inwards, shooting towards the man. Here comes the next step! As her body started to fall away from the surface, the woman kicked off, launching herself towards the floor. Focusing her strength into her legs and arms, the woman shot forward, preparing to assault the man if her knives knocked him off balance.

Liang had to admit something on two fronts. One: The girl had a hell of an arm, likely in thanks to that Super state of hers. Two: Damn did it feel good fighting somebody he didn't have to restrain himself against. Liang had been robbed of the feeling once before. Etoru, the all-powerful little jerk, had briefly clashed with Liang on the Moon back when Reikiko attempted to devour the young man in a fit of what could only be called insanity. He'd gotten a small demonstration of the state's capabilities back then, but he was left nowhere near familiar with how troublesome it could actually get. For once in a long time he felt himself really come to terms with that Eye on his forehead, and the elevation of his battle strength it had brought along with it. While Tulip repeatedly tried to retaliate against his assault, it seemed he was beating her to the punch- quite literally, in fact- the fine majority of the time. He'd spotted her fist begin to shake when he let its aura off its leash. He wasn't sure what she could have been feeling, but then again he didn't paint himself as the aggressor in this situation. As he finished his punishing combination, he would allow his posture to sink back defensively as he awaited her recovery. No fighter worth their salt would just take attacks like that without trying to come up with some way to get a breather afterward. He watched her recovery with interest, his opponent springing off of her palm. Springing into the air after a recovering flip, Liang would focus all three eyes on her form to try and get a heads-up on what she was up to. Golden chi painted the outlines of her arms as she summoned two small objects; knives!? Plenty more than two as well, as she would reveal mere seconds afterward. Her form headed for the far corner, bounding into it as her arms swept apart and the constructs were let loose. The blades haphazardly scattered in all directions and at impossible angles before sharply changing directions and heading straight for him in a volley of entrapment. ''A weapon user? Fine, we'll play it her way. I brought just the thing anyhow.'' Suddenly his eyes began to move independently of each other. His Third would quickly flit its vision across the area just above him, peering up slightly. ''Four''. His hand would dig into a pocket on his vest, withdrawing a knuckle-duster sized object. Meanwhile, his right eye scanned off to the side of his enhanced peripheral vision, picking up trails of light along the path of its vision. ''Six.'' His left eye would focus on the paths near his legs, the trails of light coming from beneath. ''Six.'' Meanwhile, the object he'd withdrawn would elongate into a combat staff; a battle rod of red coloration, with ornate golden decoration winding around the pole. At each end, a hard metal end-cap was fastened tightly. He'd begin to whirl the weapon in front of his body as he advanced. With his three eyes still moving in independence, one by one they would flit to the locations of the knives by threes as he got down to work. Sparks of chi danced off the rod as it slapped away and repelled the incoming blades, his motions becoming a blur as he whirled through the field of destruction with a surprising agility. One he'd reached the last, a swift sidestep led to one of the knives flashing past his face, leaving a very shallow cut behind that he didn't bother to wipe off just yet. He hadn't expected them to be sharp; his first guess would have been a variant on your run-of-the-mill chi bolts, but he at least knew now how serious his opponent was. Re-focusing all three eyes on her as she began to advance following his trip-up of realization, he'd charge right at her. Upon closing the distance a bit more, he'd leap from the ground using the staff as a pole-vault, feinting a kick that would appear to use it as leverage. Mid-way through the kick, however, he'd slam his rear leg against the staff and send it whirling right at her at close range. It was a maneuver he'd named the Dancing Cane, and if it struck, he'd follow up with a drilling dive kick to her chest after lashing his hand out and catching the weapon following the resulting rebound of the armament off of her body. ''Not bad, but don't tell me you're already losing your nerve, Super Saiyan!''
Tulip Waterfield Ryder (I'm so sorry about the wait! Busy busy busy 4th. xD) Liang receives a glancing blow from the knives, and heads right back in to tangle with Tulip in close combat! Liang aids his navigation of the knife volley with [UT] True Sight! [UT] True Sight: By training his use of his Third Eye, Liang has a heightened visual awareness. Not only is his cone of vision naturally expanded by a large margin, but he can also perceive heightened high-speed movement, allowing him to more easily track enemies that perform Afterimages and see through techniques that work off of illusion. Hypnosis and such techniques fool him only briefly. Against techniques that affect the mind or senses, their duration is shortened, and he can more accurately track opponents using evasive techniques, more easily predicting their point of arrival. Opponents significantly stronger than him can still slip past his sight, however. This technique allows him to move each of his three eyes independently, allowing him to track multiple objects or people by vision alone. This is a non-tiered support/utility tech that's pretty much for flavor.

Ryder quickly found herself mesmerized by the terrifying forces fighting right there in the room with her. Such POWER, and one of these was surely Liang. There was something vaguely familiar about the other, but in her condition there was neither time nor focus to contemplate such matters.
All she could do was to concentrate her energies on slowly restoring her own vitality and gain what enlightenment she could regarding the battle through her new senses. Ever so slowly her faint energy signature began to creep back up as she cycled her Qi.
OOC: sorry you guys had to wait on me. My stable power is starting to slowly creep up. Ultra low and subtle, probably not going to be within anyone's notice unless they decide to throw a slight bit of focus her way. I intend to awaken [injured and immobilized] on my next turn lol.

As the woman hit the ground on all fours and shot forward into a sprint, her gaze caught the man’s action. Without breaking a sweat, his hand shot into his pocket and returned with a small object. Clenching his hand into a fist, the object shot into a staff with an intricate gold metal design. Without missing a beat, he spun into a flurry of swings. The human warrior easily batted her soaring knives aside, each exploding in a blast of sparks and ki from the force of his swings. Her speed was momentarily checked, as she wondered if charging this man was really for the best. As the final blade shot towards him, he stepped to the side to avoid it. The blade shifted paths at the last second, clipping him on the cheek. His gaze dropped to the blood, before returning to her. All three eyes were focused on her, as this man prepared to charge forward. Don’t look at me like that; you’ll make me want to fight so much more! The woman trembled inside, trying to keep her emotions in check as she tried to avoid his piercing gaze. She continued her sprint, clenching her hands into fists. There was a slight tremble in her grip, as she felt her heartbeat rising in tempo. Her emerald gaze shot back up to the man, as she forced her lips to remain sealed. Goddammit, don’t lose yourself here! You need to get him back for Ryder! Her gaze traveled over the man, as he suddenly broke into motion. She tried to read his movements, as the man sprinted forward to match her speed. She prepared to counter as he braced his staff against the ground and launched himself into the air. Bringing her fists up to redirect the high kick, the woman’s gaze didn’t even see the staff that suddenly slammed into her chest. As her breath left her lips and her gaze dropped in shock, the woman’s eyes widened in disbelief. This b-bastard intentionally made me think he was going for a flying kick, in order to hit me with a staff blow! As her stance slipped and she stumbled back a step, the man spun his entire body to the side and slammed both of his feet into her chest. She flew backwards, slamming into the wall of the gravity chamber with a resounding boom. As he finished his spin and caught his staff on the rebound. She slowly slid into a seated position on the floor, as he turned and shouted at the injured woman. “Not bad, but don’t tell me you’re already losing your nerve, Super Saiyan!”
Slowly bringing her head back against the cold, metal wall, the woman started laughing. Her laugh echoed through the chamber, rising in volume until it was ringing throughout the room. The young hybrid pushed herself up onto her feet, using one palm pressed against the wall to steady her trembling body. Blood ran from the edge of her mouth; damage inside wasn’t terrible, probably just a cut inside her mouth. Her emerald gaze fell on Liang, as her laughing turned into giggling. “It’s been months since someone hit me that hard. This is what it means to be alive. So hit me some more, engrave your techniques into my body! Make me remember your essence and aura with every blow you land upon me!” Tulip’s voice carried through the air, carrying an almost lustful tone as the woman slowly strode towards the man. Her grin was almost maniacal, as she brought her hands up and curled them into fists. As she strode forward towards the human, a stabbing pain shot through her mind, almost making the woman fall. Shaking her head, Tulip dispelled the pain and cleared her vision. Her opponent was in front of her; this powerful, amazing warrior had come into her life suddenly, and she wasn’t going to let it go to waste. If she was bleeding and broken by the end of this...well, a Senzu could always patch up the damage. Breaking into a sprint, the woman would leap into the air just in front of Liang. She would twist her body around into a spin-kick, before bracing the tip of her foot against a blade that materialized on the ground in front of her and the warrior. Launching herself backwards into a flip, the woman would shoot backwards into the air, before landing in a crouch on a claymore suspended in the air behind the man. Jumping down using her strength and gravity, the woman would attempt to slam her fist into the back of the man’s head, dealing damage. If the trick avoided being seen through by the man, it would deal damage...but she was already bracing her body for the untold damage he would wreak upon her.
Liang's combo fully succeeds; Tulip takes damage!
Now attempting to use [Blade Materialization] and [Blade Control] to throw off Liang's Third Eye!
(OOC - Sorry about the wait, comrades.)

His plan had worked. While Liang certainly held the decisive edge in terms of chi potency, that didn't mean he could afford to slack. Any warrior worth their reputation always had a plan churning in their head that led to the fruition of a greater strategy. Even in his battle haze he was experiencing right now, he made great and successful efforts to keep his head in the fight. He sprang from the floor using the Satya Yuga as his tool of diversion, only to divert to the kick and once again feint back to the weapon to score a hard projectile blow from a close distance. His legs connected with his aggressor's body, launching her across their would-be arena as he caught the weapon and shrank it back down to knuckle-duster size, slipping it into his belt and keeping it closer at hand than from where it had rested before. He watched her slowly slide to a stop, seated, before it seemed his shout had grasped her full attention. He had to stay creative. A Super Saiyan was no slouch, even if she was outclassed so far. If he got predictable, she'd likely be able to respond in kind. While still uncertain of her end motives, he couldn't afford to get careless. Next came something he didn't expect, though. She started... laughing? He kept his guard up. With the ability to summon chi-spawned weaponry, he began to wonder if she'd slipped a trap for him somewhere within the blur of their exchanges. Her body trembled as she steadied herself against the wall. It seemed he'd drawn her blood in kind, just as one of her potent knives had done to him. It could be said the first to draw blood was often foreshadowed as the victor, but what could be said when the exchange was mutual? The thought humbled the young man. Her laughing finally settled into calmer giggling, though it was still somewhat unsettling. He began to wonder if he'd knocked a few screws loose. ''It’s been months since someone hit me that hard. This is what it means to be alive. So hit me some more, engrave your techniques into my body! Make me remember your essence and aura with every blow you land upon me!”'' It took him a couple moments, but with the way he was feeling...he could understand. There is nothing more crippling to a warrior than becoming stagnant. Going for so long without a challenge, and without someone standing in front of you to remind you that there will always be barriers to shatter and hurdles to cross. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he knew that feeling all too well. He'd even been feeling it very recently. On the planet that he called home, he was surrounded by all manner of magnificent alien species; most of them born fighters. Many were born with a certain genetic disposition to the ways of combat, and Liang was...human. Even now, as he stood before this Super Saiyan and actually had the upper hand, he thought about the fact. He'd earned his strength through blood and sweat, forcing his way into being one of the strongest of his species most likely in all of history, and one of the current strongest on the entire planet. Yet he still had so, so far to go...
He would shake his head slightly to free himself of his musings before his three eyes would alight once more in a renewed fire of will. He re-postured himself for combat in his signature Tiger Martial Arts form.''I intend to.''His opponent's renewed approach began slow. She seemed enamored, even drunk from the lust of the fight. He could certainly claim the same. She suddenly broke out into a sprint, and the dance began again. Watching her eyes, then her footwork, then her frame. She would leap into motion just in front of his own form, lashing out with a spin kick. Both of his free hands braced up, crossing to defend against the impact and deflecting the blow after absorbing a fair amount of the force. She would spring from a blade anchored below her, soaring over the Earthling's head in a flash. He lifted a foot to stomp the blade she'd just used at the hilt, attempting to disable it from being used as a trap. This cost him valuable moments as he turned to see the claymore, her bought seconds allowing the attack to come to fruition as he at first thought it would be launched right at him. As soon as her shadow enlarged beneath his feet, his arms would flash upward as he turned toward her, aligning his posture with hers, and attempt to wrap both hands around her striking arm and shoulder toss her straight into the floor. Were he successful, he'd keep his tight grip and attempt to yank her up to her feet, tossing her arm roughly above her head as well in one swift motion in hopes of causing a stumble where he would then burst forward and bury his claw-postured palms into her midsection to send her skipping across the floor from the impact. ''How far can I push you? What will it take to make you fight back?'' He thought to himself. His thoughts began to slip subjects... Could she become the challenge he'd been searching for? Even as those forces continued to clash violently in her vicinity, Ryder continued to do her damndest to commit more concentration to her recovery than using her newly discovered senses to watch the fight… a feat easier said than done.
There was only so much gain to be had from investing greater focus into her recovery, a point of diminishing returns so to speak. Between that and the allure of the clash of titans near by, she couldn’t help but study them to some extent whilst circulating her qi to recuperate.
Finally she managed to cough, expelling a gob of blackened blood from her body as her eyes slowly slipped open. There before her she saw Tulip, cloaked in a golden glow facing off against Liang.
The woman’s mouth slowly began to open with the intention to clear the air of the misunderstanding… before she closed it once more. These two worked for the same organization, they’d sort out the problem themselves sooner or later. Besides, she knew full well just how much Tulip craved a good fight, she wasn’t going to try to take that away from her.
Instead, Ryder would simply lay there back against the wall on her side, watching with eyes wide open at the battle leagues above her level unfolded right in front of her. Even so she continued to desperately cycle her Qi with every breath, doing her utmost to recover her strength and return to good condition. The last thing she needed was to be carried out of this place after they finished their fight and besides….. There was always the chance she’d need to speak up and intervene at the last moment if they went too far.
OOC: sorry this post took so long Tulip, today has been ultra hectic.
Anyone who can spare a glance my way will see that I'm awake and watching the fight [albeit still in a pretty sorry state.]
I'm not going to try to post between every round at this stage, I'll post if I'm addressed or if I'm inspired to respond to content I read. Nobody has to wait for me to post. In hindsight I should have taken this stance earlier, but I did not. So... yeah, mental popcorn time.

As she shot off the sword and threw her punch, her gaze widened in shock. The man had already shifted his stance, shattering her other sword with a single kick. His arms shot upwards, grappling her arm before her fist collided with his head. His right arm shot to the woman’s shoulder, before he roughly slammed her into the ground. The metal held against her body, which gave under the force. The young hybrid felt blood filling her mouth, as she felt her body yanked back up onto its feet. Her gaze narrowed in shock as he threw her arms up in the same motion. His stance is shifting; he’s preparing his next assault! Dammit, move body! MOVE! Biting her lip and using the pain to return feeling to her limbs, the woman tried to pull her arms down to guard. He stepped forward and slammed both of his claw-shaped palms into her chest. The aura and strength of his attacks combined to double the damage; the woman was sent flying backwards. Blades materialized, over twenty of them, flat sides angled to slow her sideways flight. Each blade shattered into shards as her body flew through them from the force of his attack. She finally slowed enough that the final blade held, allowing the woman to stumble forward. Blood ran in a line down her chin, where it dripped off slowly. Her blonde hair shifted colors, returning to brown, as the woman fell to the metal floor. It’s cool touch felt amazing on her burning body, as she struggled to maintain her breathing through the pain that wracked her body. No...not like this. I’ve got to get back up. I can’t let the battle end like this. Come back to me, dammit! Gritting her teeth and balling her hands into fists, the woman tried to draw strength back into her battered body. Her aura swirled around her, golden light edging the silver that surged around her. She felt her hair shift along with her eyes, but the pain it brought sent her coughing to ground. She could feel the blood she was pressed against, the pain, and the overwhelming sense of loss. Is this what Levlidian felt, when he fought me? But...his transformation felt more complete than mine. Something he’d come to terms with. It wasn’t just a shift in emotion or a surge in strength. It was a complete side of him. I have to do that now! Slowly pushing herself up into a seated position, the woman closed her eyes. Energy began surging around her body, as silver aura coated her entire body. She visualized the energy further within; what made her able to turn into a Super Saiyan? She was only a hybrid, without the legacy of the mighty Oozaru to draw upon! She tried to visualize the source of her powerful shift in appearance, searching further and further within herself. She stopped, as she realized what it was. The ‘Super Saiyan’ transformation wasn’t that for her. It wasn’t a form she only used to get stronger. It was a piece of herself, who she was as a person. To master the form wasn’t to subdue it to her beck and call, but to realize it was just another aspect of herself. The form wasn’t a monstrous thing to be used to fight evil...but a piece of her soul, who she was as Tulip. Golden energy suddenly surged around the woman’s still stature, surging upwards until it reached the gravity room’s high ceiling. As it reached it’s peak, the energy suddenly vanished. Instead of a roaring golden, Tulip’s hair was a paler blonde. But, her energy was no longer volatile. It was a hundred percent under the hybrid’s control. Wiping the blood from her chin onto her sleeve, the woman waved at the man and muttered softly. “Thanks for giving me a break. I needed it to gather my thoughts. So...where were we?”

Bracing her feet against the ground, Tulip lowered her fist to her waist. She slid one foot forward and thrust her open hand forward. It looked like the woman was preparing to throw a punch, as she stared at Liang. Her blue gaze met his, as a smile finally crossed her face. “Your fist is honest; I’m sure whatever happened to Ryder was a mutual battle under agreed upon terms. So...let’s continue this feud on proper terms. I’m Tulip, one of the newest members of the Ki Assault Operations Squad in the Blue Banner Army. Considering you’re here in Chai’s dojo, I’m assuming you’re from the same, correct?” Now that she was no longer under the anger-inducing effects of the original Super Saiyan transformation, the woman could observe the situation with a calm demeanor. But her lust for battle still remained. “I still intend to give you an amazing fight. Let’s ensure this is one for the books, you incredible man.”

It seemed he would retain the upper hand against his would-be assassin after all! His arms shot up to meet her form as they coiled around her striking arm, slamming her hard into the floor. She was trying awfully hard, and he knew what with Saiyans and all their pride that this battle was likely as much taxing on her spirit as it was her body. He couldn't let that pull any of his drive to win away; he'd toss her up and unbalance her before driving double claw-palms into her form, sending her flying away. Letting loose another smooth breath to calm his mind and keep from getting too carried away, he watched in surprise at her defensive quick thinking. Blades folded in line to meet her breakneck advance, her body shattering through one after the other like stained glass. The final of her makeshift barriers would hold, if only barely. He would keep all three eyes zoned in on his opponent, studying her weakening form carefully. She probably wouldn't be able to take much more, a fact punctuated by what he saw happen next. She stumbled, falling to the floor in a heap. Her blonde hair faded quickly, back to a very normal brown. Liang's gaze didn't change, but deep down, he was... Disappointed?
He'd spent so long training in solitude; he was a powerful fighter, one of the best that called Earth home. Yet he had always sat uncomfortably in the center of a wild spectrum. More than a handful completely outclassed him, but far, far more forced his restraint. He couldn't remember the last time he'd ever had a match on even footing. Someone to push him to his furthest, and force him to break through his own limits. For a few moments, he had hoped. With his opponent's outstanding effort and refusal to give up, he saw hints. Traces of what he was looking for, even, if he could be so clever as to bring them to light. Yet her light had faded. There she sat, looking soundly beaten. Her hair and eyes had reverted back from their tell-tale Super Saiyan appearances. His Tiger form stance dropped slowly until he hid it away, relaxing his posture as he took one last good look at her face. He would offer a respectful bow before he began to turn on his heel, looking toward Ryder. Just as he began to depart, however, he felt...something. His senses sparked his mind like electricity, causing him to suddenly halt in his tracks. Her energy had returned, somehow. But it was different.
He turned to look, seeing she had retaken her form. Her hair had gone more pale, her aura more calm.
He couldn't sense an ounce of malice behind it anymore.
“Thanks for giving me a break. I needed it to gather my thoughts. So...where were we?” As he turned, their eyes met but her gaze felt as if it came from a completely different person. What had just happened? Her chi had spiked enormously all of the sudden, yet she wasn't using it to go for the throat. What was this change of heart? It felt genuine. This was no trick. She even smiled, gesturing to him and admitting there was honesty weaved into his fighting. She also admitted she was KAOS as well, albeit a new member but still a very powerful one all the same. She'd admitted what he'd waited to hear all along; she finally didn't believe he'd set out to hurt Ryder at all. He'd dipped out of KAOS affairs for a while, long enough to not know the new faces, but while he readied himself for round two of the bout, he'd offer her the same genuine smile back. ''They call me a lot of things, Blue Banner. I figure they ought'a, long as i've been around.''''The KAOS Captain.''''The Three-Eyed Tiger.''''But you? You can call me Zhai Liang.''
He'd punctuate the remark with a friendly wink. For now, he'd join her in enjoying the calm before the coming storm; however completely changed in tone it would certainly be. Ryder Tulip Waterfield

The man paused in his exit, turning back towards the woman. He’d dropped his stance; doubtless because he thought Tulip had reached the extent of her strength and abilities. The man silently listened to her short speech, before smiling softly himself. Then he spoke. The young hybrid listened in silence, slowly savoring the warmth of the man’s tone. He identified himself as her superior, the Three-Eyed Tiger, and after a pause...Zhai Liang. Tulip could easily tell why he was called the Three-Eyed Tiger; the evidence was written all over the woman’s battered appearance. “Jokes aside, I’m pretty tattered after the one-sided nature of our first exchange.” The woman thrust her arms out, admiring the bruises that were slowly forming on her body. She looked at the man, at the small nick on his cheek and his nose. A smirk crossed her face, as the woman muttered. “And I’ve left you with a few love marks of my own. So, what do you say to continuing this little charade?” The woman would bring her arms down, as her aura began slowly building. It wasn’t the sporadic explosion of ki from before; this was a powerful, methodic growth, like a volcano preparing to explode. Her blue gaze remained on Liang, as she brought her hands forward into the boxing stance from before. “Since you had full control of the battle for the last two minutes beyond my initial strike...I think I’ll take the lead this round.” After her short word, the woman shot forward. She shot straight forward, sprinting towards the man. Ten feet from him, she stopped her forward sprint and entered her stance. Her momentum forced her body to continue sliding forward, as the woman bent her knees and narrowed her gaze. She came to a halt only two feet from Liang, guard up and fists clenched. Letting out a slow breath, the woman grinned. “Up close, you’re way more intimidating than you act, Liang.” Regardless of the man’s reaction, the woman would step forward into a volley of machine-gun blows. Her first strike was a right hook into his gut, as her left arm tried to swat his guard aside. Her second strike came in a different form, as the woman took a single step back and rotated her entire frame. As her feet became the pivot for her entire body, the woman’s left arm shot straight out in front of her body. Stepping backwards with her left foot and placing her shoulders against the man’s chest, the woman slammed her left elbow back into his stomach. She more than anticipated a powerful counter of sorts; but this time it was different. This time Tulip could handle the weight of his blows, and return them in kind. (OOC - Ryder said to skip her, Liang . Looking forward to your response!)

He watched as Tulip replied, extending her arms to admire the bruises his Tiger Style martial arts had left to form on her body. She mused about the feeling of the bout being so one-sided up until this point; at least she was humble about it. Many others would have let that kind of frustration go to their head, causing them to lash out. Liang could remember a time and place where he was just like that himself. This mysterious woman had just chanced her way into his life, and he had to admit he was intrigued by her. Where had she come from? What road had she walked to arrive where she was here and now, trading blows with him? What had he done to drive out this crazy potential? Even now, his trained ability to sense the chi of others notified him of a resonance between her energy and his own. Her chi had spiked to nearly match his own, all while becoming far calmer than it had been. It dawned on him that he may very well have been the catalyst to Tulip furthering her own strength to an entirely new level, and the thought of it gave him a rush of warm emotion. It was moments like this that gave him clarity and drive toward his goal, that of bringing the Tiger School back to its glory days and perhaps even better. If he could foster his talent in bringing the best out of his allies like this, who knows what he could do with any student that walked through those dojo doors?
“And I’ve left you with a few love marks of my own.''Then and there came Liang's awkwardness and inexperience with women. His face flushed red as a beet for a moment, causing him to nervously scratch at the back of his head and smile earnestly. She expressed interest in continuing their ''little charade'', and seeing her as she was now made him more excited to continue the match than ever. ''I know she can summon weapons out of her chi. It makes me wonder what kind of techniques she's developed. Now that i'm confident she can withstand my own, maybe we're about to turn this fight up a notch!'' He thought to himself. Liang personally had taken a single heirloom technique of the Tiger Style and turned it into an entire textbook of self-created chi techniques, and being stuck at the mid-point level he was left him unable to use quite a few of them as much as he'd have liked so far. Tulip's arms fell and her aura began to build, causing the gaze of his Third Eye to narrow in focus. It built slow, swelling and forming, much unlike the explosive spike he'd witnessed when she had first arrived. As she maneuvered into her boxing stance, so too would Liang adopt his Tiger form in response. She noted that she would be glad to take the lead this time, clearly eager to test out her new strength. Before Liang could respond to the statement, she broke into a sprint right for him! Halting her momentum to come to a sliding stop right in front of him, she'd pay him a compliment. Intimidating? That was a new one. ''What makes you say tha- whoah!'' She quickly maneuvered into her first strike. His Third Eye shifted its gaze to her striking arm, noting the clenching of muscle. It was all the warning he had with her new speed, and he would have work with it! His left hand's palm would fan open, catching the blow and letting it glance off of his fingers. His right hand straightened into a knife-like shape, crossing hers that attempted to slap away his guard in a form of parry. Attempting a direct attack in her follow-up move, he watched her turn and extend her arm before retreating straight into him. Her shoulders bent his upper body back slightly enough to upset his footwork, and that elbow sailed in with a heightened speed he'd have to grow accustomed to and fast! It buried itself in his stomach, Liang letting loose a cough as his eyes widened. As he stumbled, he'd catch himself on the way back and attempt to hook her shin with his leg mid-retreat, trying to sweep her off balance and pull her toward him. Were he successful, he'd rotate his body and explosively step inward toward her back, turning at the last moment to drive both elbows behind him straight into her back! ''Good one! I can already tell you're gonna be trouble!''He seemed so focused and intense, yet... Liang was having the time of his life! Tulip Waterfield

As her elbow sank into the man’s stomach, the woman’s eyes widened in surprise. She tried to force her elbow in further, elated simply by the fact her attack could now reach this powerful Tiger. She caught the movement of his leg at the last moment, as it struck her shin. She managed to plant her right foot as her left was yanked back, spinning the woman off balance. The man was already planting his feet, mirroring the woman’s own attack. As he spun his back towards the woman, she raised her guard to block the left elbow. She met it with both her arms, eyes widening in shock as his right elbow clipped her ribs and side. She winced in pain, sliding back from the impact. She shook her arms to work off the edge of pain, before raising both her hands again. Then she let her guard drop. Thrusting one hand forward, the woman began focusing her ki into her palm. Golden energy began crackling around it, as the woman brought her hand back and stared at the man. “You held back before in order to not break me; let me see the legendary techniques of the one known as the Three-Eyed Tiger.” The short hybrid clenched her hand into a fist, gold sparks working their way up her arm as she began the slow walk towards the man. She was waiting for his response; his technique to mirror the conviction the woman was displaying in her own. This had the potential to maim or worse, if he didn’t put up some guard or match her building energy. I want to see what the original KAOS members are capable of; I know of Chai, his companionship with Guardia and rainbow techniques still linger in my mind. That strength is something only a bond of friendship and commitment can bring to fruition. I also know of Virtual Poi, his robotic strength one created through endless trials of self-determination and testing to create the perfect android. His strength was one that I couldn’t match in a thousand years...unless I build up thrice the experience in a quarter the time. Captain Nova...I only saw once, the day I died. His strength was unique….and now it’s you, Liang. The man who is going to show me what individual strength is, and the true potential of a human driven only by his personal goals. Chai, its his past that drives him forward. For Captain Nova, its the concept of justice and his drive to be a hero….what makes you strong, Liang? I hope to learn it through this battle. As her thoughts filled her mind, the woman continued her slow march towards the man, fist crackling with gold energy. Her body was tensing up, ready to respond to any form of counter-attack.
