Another casual day of patrols, another casual day of patrols, and of shooting down random Saiyan soldiers. He had been content, doing this, leaving the confines of the ship so he could go and do what he did best: fight for his boss. Of course, he had no idea what was about to happen. What was about to be broadcast-ed directly to his scouter. He just thought he would do the same thing he had done since the invasion. But... that didn't happen.
It had been a quick beep, to which Tomoka had stopped flying so he could properly get the message. And it was... terrifying. "Tomoka! Something has come up on Arcose. You've got control of our forces on Beppa until I get back. Do not take any rash action while I'm gone. The full moon is out, so our opposition is at full power." was all he heard. No time to reply, but he could hear the crunching of what sounded to be a scouter before the transmission was swiftly cut...
Tomoka blinked, suddenly, than looked at himself, before pinching his arm, and counting his fingers. "Okay... this isn't a nightmare... THIS ISN'T A NIGHTMARE!" He screamed aloud, before clutching his head in his hands. "Oh god, Oh god... alright, keep it cool Tomoka... keep it cool..." He would say, before he clicked his scouter... "Alright, just in case..." He thought, before spotting several dozen power levels. "YES!" He shouted, flying in it's direction...
A few hours later, a large craft returned to the encampment where the former fist shaped ship had sat. Now, a massive, yellow painted, and much, much older ship, landed in it's place. The MD soldiers had been thrown into chaos because of their leaders leaving, and it had caused a tiny power vacuum to be formed in the process. Already a few were in the infirmary, and while there was a massive amount of infighting going on, they all stopped what they were doing to see the large ship descend from the sky and into the middle of the encampment.
The soldiers responded quickly as they surrounded the ship, preparing to blow it to smithereens in seconds... before the hatch opened, and out walked Tomoka. "Alright, so I had to... commandeer this vessel from the locals, in case a Saiyan assault ends in a forced evacuation on all our parts. I've come to tell you some rather... interesting news." Tomoka said, a few of the soldiers sniggering at the cowardly action. Already preparing for a retreat, some Saiyan he was. Tomoka began hovering in the air, and floated above the rest of the encampment. "As you know, around 0200 hours ago, Lord Xylo departed on an emergency mission to Arcose, though it is an unknown why. From above, I could tell that you guys were having a bit of a scuffle to see who is to take command..." Tomoka said, a smirk forming at his lips. "I'd like to give you a message from our glorious emperor to show you who." He would say, before clicking on his scouter, and the same, stern, and starting to sound old voice of their leader, Lord Xylo.
As it ended, the soldiers stared at him. They knew this couldn't be a hoax. They knew next to nothing of the lone Saiyan in their ranks, but they could tell he was not one with computers, and they were right. "Some of you will obey immediately, as it is a direct order from your commander. You are wise." he would say, as around a third of the soldiers in the crowd bowed their heads. "Maybe a few of you will still think it's a hoax, even though you all know I'm probably not at all good with voice editing and computers." he would state, and a few would look down, not entirely sure what to do. "Some will disobey because they believe they are superior leaders, and a few will flat out rebel..." Tomoka would state, looking across the crowd. "Let it be known that you are not only disobeying me, but your emperor as well, when you refuse one of my orders." He would state, crossing his arms.
"But you and I both know that our Lord would not care if I was to be cut down and replaced by another soldier as temporary commander." He would say, before looking across the crowd of soldiers. "The strongest must rule, and if it were to be proven that I was not as strong as the one who defeats me, than it makes sense for me to be cut down. But I ask..." Tomoka would say, than raise his voice. "WHICH ONE OF YOU GRUNTS HAS A POWER LEVEL GREATER THAN FORTY FOUR THOUSAND?!" He shouted. A few raised their hands, and than he shouted once more, "GREAT NAMEK DOESN'T COUNT!" and all the hands shot down. "And let's not forget that the moon is not only helping our adversaries, but it is my ally as well." He would say, pointing to the sky. "Let it be known that any insubordination of any and all kinds will end..." Tomoka hissed, before looking onto the crowd of soldiers. "In your dismemberment."
At this, Tomoka hovered back down to the ground, the soldiers making a circle for him to land in by moving out of the way. "Are there any questions, my fellow Mazoku?" Tomoka asked. All were silent. "Very good. Our strategy is simple right now: our forces are spread thin currently, and we have sustained several losses. We are going to regroup and get on the defensive until the emperor returns, understood?" Tomoka barked to the crowd, to which they all responded out of order, "YES SIR!" "Dismissed, slugs." Tomoka stated, before sending out a message on all coms. "Attention all Mazoku forces on Beppa. I have taken command in Xylo's absence. You are to return to camp. Do not engage any SSE forces unless proven that no back up will arrive, and that they are in fact weaker. Reenforcements are not coming, and we cannot afford any uneccessary losses. Any who fail to comply will be terminated. This message will repeat." He stated, before clicking off his scouter and returning to his ship.
As the ramp closed behind him, he let out a long sigh, and pumped his fist. "OH THANK GOD IT WORKED!" He shouted. In all actuality, it had taken him less than 20 minutes to complete the transaction for the old cargo freighter, and it had taken only a few minutes to travel back to camp. What had been the trouble was to regain composure after hearing he was being put in charge of several hundred bloodthirsty soldiers who would tear him limb from limb if he appeared to be on the wrong side of the battle, or disloyal for a few seconds. He had prepared a proper speech as well, and it appeared it had been effective at regaining order. He wondered exactly what would happen if this became permanent, but didn't want to think to much about it. After all, speeches and reorganizing ever thinning armies didn't win wars... unless you had been driven mad with power...
OOC: exiting thread. This was meant to establish my temporary command over the troops, however short of a time frame it may be, and also to get my new ship. Hitch hiking on Xylo's fist isn't exactly Tomoka's idea of travel. Course, neither is hopping on an old cargo ship either.
Oh, gimme PL
