SOLO Dojo + 140 Gravity Purika threw a punch into a fellow soldier's gut. Was this an act of betrayal? No, he was sparring some fellow soldiers at a local training facility. He was showing them how it’s done, hopefully encouraging them to grow stronger just like him. He lowered his power output to almost match the soldiers' power levels, giving them a fighting chance alongside a proper challenge. The saiyans needed to be prepared for future battles.
This punch had enough force to effectively put the soldier down, the fight having gone on for a while. The soldier did quite a good job against Purika, but not good enough to admit defeat. Of course, the soldier wouldn’t have really defeated him, just defeated him while using the current power output he was. The soldier held his hand over his shattered armor, clenching his stomach as he gritted his teeth. He was in quite a bit of pain, having completely slumped over.
“Anyone else want to test their luck?”, Purika said to the watchers outside the ring. He waited a while for a reply, no one accepting his challenge. “I guess my job here is done then.” Purika said, a slight smirk on his face. Purika made his way out of the ring, the saiyan still slumped over. “Is he alright?”, an alien who treated injuries asked.
“He’ll be fine.”, Purika said, starting to walk towards the exit. The saiyan that was still slumped over lost consciousness, gaining the medical agents attention. The medical agent rushed into the arena and began inspecting the saiyan. Purika walked halfway down the stairs that led to the pathway before looking off into the crowd.
“Now what should I do...”, Purika thought before his stomach growled. He placed his hand over his armor which laid directly in front of his stomach. “I guess I’ll get something to eat first.”, he thought. First off he suppressed his power level, and then he headed down the stairs to the pathway, walking across the street to a restaurant. It was quite convenient, the owners of the place knew what saiyans wanted when they got done training, Food.
He walked up to the door, pressing the button that rested beside it. The door slid open and he proceeded to walk into the restaurant. Purika headed over to the counter, observing the occupants as he entered. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, and the smell that rested within the place smelled quite delectable. Purika walked up to the counter, being welcomed by a Kagami.
“What would you like today?”, the female kagami asked. Purika looked down at the menu, deciding he should go with the usual buffet. It was above averagely priced, but Purika guessed that was to keep the amount of food in the restaurant from dwindling quickly. Purika put the amount of zeni required on the counter, the kagami giving him permission to dine. Purika proceeded to feast until he was full, exiting the restaurant afterward.
He let out a sigh of relief as he stood outside. “I guess I should do some training to work this off.”, he said to himself as he patted his stomach. He had just the place in mind, and the method too. Purika’s crimson aura burst out around him as he darted into the air, headed towards the dojo near the outside of the city. When almost halfway there, he remembered that he had no one to train with.
He figured it’d just have to be like that this time, continuing to fly towards the dojo. Once above the dojo he halted himself, his aura disappearing along with his speed. Purika descended to the doorstep of the dojo, right in front of the wooden double doors. Purika pulled the handle on the door back towards him, walking in the door as it was pulled open. He entered the white room, the door shutting behind him.
Purika’s tail unraveled itself from its wrapped position around Purika’s waist and waved around. Purika's head turned towards the panel on the wall that activated the gravity settings, walking over to it. Purika tapped around on the panel, eventually finding himself in the gravity settings section. He put the number in, ten more G’s higher than his previous maximum. He only had ten more to go after this and he’d be at the maximum.
Then he got get some real work done. Heat started to fill the room as the gravity went up, the pressure increasing as well. The first stages of the gravity barely affected him as it was still loading up to one-hundred and forty G’s. Purika figured he may as well get himself prepared for the change in gravity, so he began doing some exercises. First were handstand pushups, but with one arm and the other behind his back.
He started to sweat as heat lingered in the room, the sweat sliding down his face and dropping to the floor. The gravity started to increase past his previous limits, putting more strain on him with every tick. Every push became harder to manage, and when it finally hit the top of the setting it was on, it sent him falling to the ground face first. He shut his eyes while gritting his teeth, his face would be sore after this. Now he laid flat on the floor, stomach faced towards the ground.
The gravity was making it harder for him to move. Purika began to spread his arms out, his muscles tensing as he slid them across the floor under the straining pressure. The heat made it even worse on him, but he still had to make it to the final level of gravity. He could only imagine how tough it could be on him when he reached the final setting for the first time. Once his arms were wide out enough, he attempted to raise himself from the floor while sliding his arms back in horizontally.
He struggled to get up, it was just like doing a push up when you were weak while having someone or some weights sitting on your back. His muscles tensed and his teeth gritted, he looked towards the floor with his eyes wide open while struggling to get from the ground. He only got a few inches off the ground before he fell back to the floor, him turning his head to the side to prevent his face from getting planted into the tiled floor again. He shut his eyes as the side of his head throbbed, he was struggling. Could he really be this weak?
Purika refused to give in though, he had to get to the next level. And if he did give up, he would die in this damned chamber, which he refused to do. What would they say about him if they found him laying there, his body pretty much being crushed. He opened his eyes, determined as ever to get back to his feet and continue his training. He slid his arms across the floor yet again, drawing them back in to push himself off the ground. He turned his head back to the floor as his aura burst from his body, surrounding him entirely. His muscles tensed to their maximum and his ki flowed through his body, empowering him.
He pushed and he pushed, finally getting up enough to slide his knee under him. He rose his pressured back, eventually having his torso up straight. His head shot up, him looking to the ceiling. He made it his goal at the moment to make it to the ceiling by jumping instead of flying. What hell awaited him at the final level of gravity?
His arm shot up quickly before Purika slammed it to the floor. This gravity would not get the best of him, he wanted to be the best of the best! He had to make it through this to get there, and still, after this it would take some time. He pushed himself up, his aura roaring around him widely and expanding itself as he fully got to his feet, raising himself off his knees one leg after the other. Now his aura started to shrink back down to normal size as he stood proudly.
He was still hunched a bit from the tremendous pressure, though. “Well, here goes nothing.”, he thought. Purika crouched down, before his legs shot up, bouncing him off of the floor like a spring. He aimed to reach the ceiling, raising his right arm above him and tilting his face up so that he could see the ceiling. His palm stretched wide open in an attempt to touch it, but the pressure was quick to drive him back down.
He slowed down before he began to fall back to the floor, his descent being made quicker due to the gravity. He recovered himself partly before he hit the ground, saving him from any major injuries that would’ve been caused if he didn’t. Purika huffed for air before getting back to his feet again, preparing to repeat the same method, but with more force than last time. He rose his hand to wipe his sweating forehead with his right forearm first, though. He repeated the same springing method as last time, being launched with more force than previously, shooting him up a lot faster.
Purika just knew that he was going to make it to the ceiling this time, closing the gap between him and it quickly. His instincts were right, he touched the ceiling with his right hand. Purika grinned as he started to use his ki to keep him floating in the air. As expected, it took him quite a bit more effort to stay hovering in the air than what it would take him normally. An idea came to him and he rotated himself so his feet would face the walls of the dome, floating over to it.
Purika would start his first part of his training by running along the walls, seeing how fast he can get and how far he could get while trying not to be slammed into the floor by the lingering gravity. Purika began dashing around the dome wall, mostly facing downward since the dojo was a huge dome and the walls were slanted inward. With each step he began going faster and faster, running around until he ran out of energy. He began falling from the wall, not even paying attention to how much energy he had for a second. He fell to the ground, recovering just in time to land on his feet.
Purika grinned, he could feel his power increasing with every moment he stayed in the dojo, especially with the gravity up this high. Purika figured flying in this gravity setting wouldn’t be that much of a problem, but he figured he should do it anyway. Purika’s aura flared around him as he shot up from the ground, floating around inside the dojo. Like he expected, flying wasn’t too much of a problem for him. He did a few maximum speed loops around the interior of the dojo just for fun, though, before lowering himself back to the ground.
Just like any training should include, he needed to test his fighting capabilities under this pressure. To start it off simple, Purika threw a punch in the air. After the punch was performed, Purika looked at his fist. “Slower than it should be…”, Purika said to himself. Purika tried again, punching the air with both his left and right hands now.
This continued until he went on an all-out barrage like he was crazy or something. He wasn’t even hitting anything, except, well, the air. Purika eventually slowed down as he was starting to get tired, but now he was starting to feel more comfortable under these conditions. He felt now that he was ready to try and take on the final level of gravity training, one hundred and fifty g’s. The gravity chamber was getting a little bit too hot for him too, so he headed over to the control panel and disabled the gravity.
With that, pressure had started to be lifted off of him, resulting in a sigh of relief from him. He flicked the sweat off of his head and arms, dropping to the floor as the cooling system started to do its job. Purika sat for a couple of minutes, regaining his energy and relaxing under the now cool air.
